Isaiah 61
1 The Spirit of the Lord God is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to announce liberation to the captives, to set the prisoners free,
LO Spirito del Signore Iddio [è] sopra di me; perciocchè il Signore mi ha unto, per annunziar le buone novelle a' mansueti; mi ha mandato, per fasciar quelli che hanno il cuor rotto; per bandir libertà a quelli che sono in cattività, ed apertura di carcere a' prigioni;
2 to declare the year of the Lord's grace and the day of our God's punishment, to comfort those who mourn.
per pubblicar l'anno della benevolenza del Signore, e il giorno della vendetta del nostro Dio; per consolar tutti quelli che fanno cordoglio;
3 The Lord will give to everyone who mourns in Zion a crown instead of ashes on their head, the oil of happiness instead of mourning, clothes of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of integrity, planted by the Lord to reveal his glory.
per proporre a quelli di Sion che fanno cordoglio, che sarà lor data una corona di gloria in luogo di cenere, olio di allegrezza in luogo di duolo, ammanto di lode in luogo di spirito angustiato; e che saranno chiamati: Querce di giustizia, piante che il Signore ha piantate, per glorificar sè stesso.
4 They will rebuild the old ruins; they will restore places abandoned long ago; they will restore towns that were destroyed, places left desolate for generation after generation.
E riedificheranno i luoghi desolati già da lungo tempo, [e] ridirizzeranno le ruine antiche, rinnoveranno le città desolate, e i disertamenti di molte età [addietro].
5 Foreigners will shepherd your flocks, and take care of your fields, and look after your vineyards.
E gli stranieri staranno in piè, e pastureranno le vostre gregge; e i figliuoli de' forestieri [saranno] i vostri agricoltori, e i vostri vignaiuoli.
6 You will be called priests of the Lord, identified as ministers of our God. You will enjoy the wealth of nations and be proud that you have it.
E voi sarete chiamati: Sacerdoti del Signore, e sarete nominati: Ministri dell'Iddio nostro; voi mangerete le facoltà delle genti, e vi farete magnifici della lor gloria.
7 Instead of shame you will receive a double blessing; instead of insults, you will be happy to have a double amount of land given to you, and your joy will last forever.
In luogo della vostra confusione, [avrete] il doppio; e [invece dell]'ignominia, giubileranno nella loro porzione; perciò erederanno il doppio nel lor paese [ed] avranno allegrezza eterna.
8 I, the Lord, love what is right. I hate robbery and injustice. I will faithfully reward my people and make an everlasting agreement with them.
Perciocchè io [sono] il Signore, che amo la dirittura, e odio la rapina con l'olocausto; e darò loro il lor premio in verità, e farò con loro un patto eterno.
9 Their descendants will be acknowledged among the nations, and their children among the peoples. Everyone who sees them will agree that they are people that the Lord has blessed.
E la lor progenie sarà riconosciuta fra le genti, e i lor discendenti in mezzo de' popoli; tutti quelli che li vedranno riconosceranno che quelli [son] la progenie [che il] Signore ha benedetta.
10 I will happily celebrate in the Lord! My whole being will shout praises to my God. For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation, and has wrapped around me in a robe of goodness. I am like a bridegroom dressed for the wedding, like a bride wearing her jewels.
Io mi rallegrerò di grande allegrezza nel Signore, l'anima mia festeggerà nell'Iddio mio; perciocchè egli mi ha vestita di vestimenti di salute, mi ha ammantata dell'ammanto di giustizia; a guisa di sposo adorno di corona, ed a guisa di sposa acconcia co' suoi corredi.
11 Just as the earth sends up shoots, and plants grow in a garden, so the Lord makes goodness and praise grow before all nations.
Perciocchè, siccome la terra produce il suo germoglio, e come un orto fa germinar le cose che vi son seminate; così il Signore Iddio farà germogliar la giustizia e la lode, nel cospetto di tutte le genti.
