Isaiah 54
1 Sing for joy, childless woman, you who have had a baby! Shout aloud, and sing happily, Jerusalem, you who have never given birth! For the abandoned woman now has more children than the married woman, says the Lord.
¡Canta de alegría, mujer sin hijos, tú que has tenido un bebé! ¡Grita en voz alta y canta de alegría, Jerusalén, tú que nunca has dado a luz! Porque la mujer abandonada tiene ahora más hijos que la casada, dice el Señor.
2 Make the tent where you live bigger; stretch the fabric to enlarge your home. Don't try and save space—extend your tent cords and make your tent pegs stronger.
Haz más grande la tienda donde vives; estira la tela para agrandar tu casa. No trates de ahorrar espacio: alarga las cuerdas de tu tienda y haz más fuertes las estacas.
3 You're going to be spreading out right and left; your descendants will take over the land of other nations and live in towns that were once abandoned.
Te vas a extender a diestro y siniestro; tus descendientes se apoderarán de la tierra de otras naciones y vivirán en ciudades que antes estaban abandonadas.
4 Do not be afraid, for you won't be humiliated; don't be upset, for you won't be disgraced. You will forget about the shame of your youth, and you won't remember the embarrassment of your widowhood any longer.
No tengas miedo, porque no serás humillado; no te alteres, porque no serás deshonrado. Te olvidarás de la vergüenza de tu juventud, y ya no recordarás la vergüenza de tu viudez.
5 For your Maker is your husband, the Lord Almighty is his name the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, he is called the God of the whole earth.
Porque tu Hacedor es tu esposo, el Señor Todopoderoso es su nombre el Santo de Israel es tu Redentor, se llama el Dios de toda la tierra.
6 The Lord has called you to come back, like a wife who's been abandoned and deeply hurt, a wife who was married when she was young, only to be rejected, says your God.
El Señor te ha llamado para que vuelvas, como una esposa abandonada y profundamente herida, una esposa que se casó cuando era joven, sólo para ser rechazada, dice tu Dios.
7 I deserted you for just a little while, but I will bring you back, showing you a great deal of kindness.
Te abandoné por poco tiempo, pero te haré volver, mostrándote una gran bondad.
8 In a moment of anger I turned my face away from you, but now with trustworthy love I will always be kind to you, says the Lord, your Redeemer.
En un momento de cólera, aparté mi rostro de ti, pero ahora, con un amor digno de confianza, seré siempre bondadoso contigo, dice el Señor, tu Redentor.
9 To me this is just like Noah's time, when I promised on oath that a flood would never cover the earth again. In the same way I promise on oath that I won't be angry with you or tell you off.
Para mí, esto es igual que el tiempo de Noé, cuando prometí bajo juramento que un diluvio no volvería a cubrir la tierra. Del mismo modo, prometo bajo juramento que no me enfadaré contigo ni te regañaré.
10 Though the mountains cease to exist and the hills disappear, yet my trustworthy love for you won't cease to exist and my agreement of peace won't disappear, says the Lord, who shows you kindness.
Aunque los montes dejen de existir y las colinas desaparezcan, no por ello dejará de existir mi amor confiable por ti ni desaparecerá mi acuerdo de paz, dice el Señor, que te muestra su bondad.
11 My poor storm-damaged city that can't be comforted! Look, I'm going to reset your stones in cement made of antimony, I will use sapphires to lay your foundations.
¡Mi pobre ciudad dañada por la tormenta que no puede ser consolada! Mira, voy a reponer tus piedras con cemento de antimonio, Utilizaré zafiros para poner tus cimientos.
12 I will make your fortifications out of rubies; I will make your gates out of sparkling beryl. All your walls will be made of precious stones,
Haré tus fortificaciones de rubíes; haré tus puertas de berilo resplandeciente. Todos tus muros serán de piedras preciosas,
13 and all your children will be students of the Lord, and they will live in complete peace.
y todos tus hijos serán alumnos del Señor, y vivirán en completa paz.
14 Your society will operate from principles of goodness and right; nobody will be there to oppress you. You won't be afraid; you won't have to face any kind of terror.
Tu sociedad funcionará a partir de principios de bondad y de derecho; no habrá nadie que te oprima. No tendrás miedo; no tendrás que enfrentar ningún tipo de terror.
15 If any invader comes to attack you, I didn't send them; you will defeat anyone who attacks you.
Si algún invasor viene a atacarte, yo no lo envié; tú derrotarás a cualquiera que te ataque.
16 Look—I have created a blacksmith who blows the coals into a hot flame and forges a suitable weapon; and I have created the destroyer who brings destruction.
Mira: he creado al herrero que sopla las brasas en una llama caliente y forja un arma adecuada; y he creado al destructor que trae la destrucción.
17 None of the weapons forged against you will succeed, and you will condemn anyone who accuses you. This is how the servants of the Lord are blessed, and I am the one who vindicates them, declares the Lord.
Ninguna de las armas forjadas contra ti tendrá éxito, y condenarás a cualquiera que te acuse. Así son bendecidos los siervos del Señor, y yo soy el que los reivindica, declara el Señor.
