Isaiah 48
1 Listen to this, descendants of Jacob, called by the name of Israel, and who come from the lineage of Judah. Listen, you people who swear by the name of the Lord, or who invoke the God of Israel, but not truly or sincerely.
“हे याकोब के वंश, तुम जो इस्राएली कहलाते हो तथा जो यहूदाह की संतान हो, जो याहवेह के नाम की शपथ लेते हो जो इस्राएल के परमेश्वर की दोहाई देते हो— किंतु यह सब न तो सच्चाई से होता है और न धर्म से होता है—
2 You say you're from the “Holy City,” and claim you're trusting in the God of Israel, whose name is the Lord Almighty.
क्योंकि वे पवित्र होने का दावा करते हैं वे इस्राएल के परमेश्वर पर भरोसा भी रखते हैं— जिनका नाम सर्वशक्तिमान याहवेह:
3 I predicted long ago what was going to happen—I said it and let people know. Then suddenly I decided to act, and it all came true.
होनेवाली बातों को पहले ही बताया है, यह मेरे ही मुंह से निकली और सब सच हो गई.
4 I know how stubborn you are, with necks as unbending as iron and foreheads as hard as bronze.
इसलिये कि मुझे मालूम है कि तुम हठीले हो; तुम्हारी गर्दन लोहे की बनी हुई है, तथा तुम्हारा सिर कांस्य का बना है.
5 I predicted these things to you long ago, before they happened. I explained them to you so that you couldn't say “My idol did this,” or “My image and my metal god ordered this to happen.”
इस कारण मैंने यह बात पहले ही बता दी थी; उनके होने के पहले मैंने ये बता दिया था ताकि तुम यह न कहो कि, ‘यह तो मेरी मूर्तियों ने किया जिसको हमने बनाया था.’
6 You've heard all I predicted, and seen it happen. Won't you admit it? Now I'm going to tell you new things, secrets you don't know anything about.
तुम सुन चुके हो; अब यह देख लो. क्या अब तुम इसकी घोषणा न करोगे? “अब मैं तुम्हें नई नई और गुप्त बातें सुनाऊंगा, जिन्हें तुम नहीं जानते.
7 These are brand-new, not something from the past. Before today you won't have heard anything about them, so you can't say, “Oh yes, I know about that.”
इसकी रचना अभी की गई है पहले से नहीं; परंतु आज से पहले तुमने इसके विषय में नहीं सुना है. कि तुम यह कह सको कि, ‘यह तो मुझे पहले से ही मालूम था.’
8 No, you've never heard that, and you've never known that! Nobody's told you about that before! I know how deviously you operate—you're called “rebels from birth”!
हां सच तुमने सुना नहीं, तुम्हें इसका ज्ञान तक न था; न तुम्हारे कान खोले गए थे क्योंकि मुझे मालूम था. कि तुम अवश्य धोखा दोगे; इस कारण गर्भ ही से तुम्हारा नाम अपराधी पड़ा है.
9 But because of my nature I am delaying my punishment; and because of my reputation, I'm not going to destroy you.
अपने ही नाम के कारण मैंने अपने क्रोध को रोक रखा है; अपनी ही महिमा के निमित्त तुम्हारे हित में मैं इसे रोके रहा, कि तुम मिट न जाओ.
10 Look how I've refined you, but not like silver—I chose you in the furnace of trouble.
यह देख, मैंने तुम्हें शुद्ध तो किया है, परंतु चांदी के समान मैंने तुम्हें दुःख देकर; जांच कर तुम्हें चुन लिया है.
11 The reason I'm doing this is because of who I am, yes, because of my very nature. I won't let my reputation be damaged—I won't let anyone else have it.
अपने हित में, हां! अपने हित में, मैंने यह किया है. क्योंकि यह कैसे संभव हो सकता है कि मेरा नाम दूषित हो? अपनी महिमा किसी और को दो.
12 Listen to me, Jacon, and Israel, the one I called. Only I am God. I am the first, and I am the last.
“हे याकोब, हे मेरे बुलाये हुए इस्राएल: मैं वही हूं; मैं ही आदि और अंत हूं.
13 I laid the foundations of the earth with my own hands; I personally spread out the heavens. When I call the stars, they all take their positions.
इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं कि मेरे हाथों ने पृथ्वी की नींव रखी, मेरे दाएं हाथ ने आकाश को बढ़ाया है; जब मैं कहता हूं, वे एक साथ खड़े हो जाते हैं.
14 Everyone gather round and listen. Which of your “gods” told you anything like this? The one the Lord loves will carry out the Lord's wishes against Babylon—he will attack the Babylonians.
“तुम सब मेरी बात ध्यान से सुनो: उनमें से कौन है, जिसने इन बातों को बताया? याहवेह उससे प्रेम करते हैं वही बाबेल के बारे में याहवेह की इच्छा पूरी करेगा; याहवेह का हाथ कसदियों के ऊपर उठेगा.
15 I myself have spoken. I have called him to do this, and he will be successful in what he does.
मैंने कह दिया है; और मैंने उनको बुलाया है. मैं उसे लाया हूं, तथा याहवेह ही उसके काम को सफल करेंगे.
16 Come close to me, and listen to this. From the very beginning I haven't spoken in secret; I am always there right when it happens. Now the Lord God and his Spirit has sent me to tell you this:
“मेरे पास आकर यह सुनो, “शुरू से अब तक मैंने कोई बात नहीं छुपाई; जिस समय ऐसा होता है, तब मैं वहां हूं.” और अब प्रभु याहवेह ने मुझे तथा अपनी आत्मा को भेज दिया है.
17 This is what the Lord says, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, I am the Lord your God. I am the one who teaches you what is good for you, who leads you along the way you should go.
तुम्हें छुड़ाने वाला इस्राएल के पवित्र परमेश्वर, याहवेह यों कहते हैं: “मैं ही याहवेह तुम्हारा परमेश्वर हूं, जो तुम्हें वही सिखाता हूं, जो तुम्हारे लिए सही है, और जिस मार्ग में तुम्हें चलना चाहिये.
18 If you had only listened carefully to what I told you! Then your blessings would have flowed like a river, and goodness would have washed over you like the waves of the sea.
यदि तुमने मेरी बातों पर मात्र ध्यान दिया होता, तब तो तुम्हारी शांति नदी के समान, और तुम्हारा धर्म सागर की लहरों के समान होता.
19 Your children, your descendants, would have been like all those grains of sand. They wouldn't have had to be destroyed, wiped out before me.
तुम्हारे वंश बालू के कण के समान होते, मेरे कारण उनके नाम न तो मिटाए न ही काटे जाएंगे.”
20 Leave Babylon! Run away from Babylonia with happy shouts! Let everyone know, telling the whole earth, “The Lord has redeemed his servant Jacob!”
बाबेल से निकल जाओ, कसदियों के बीच से भाग जाओ! जय जयकार के साथ बताओ, “याहवेह ने अपने सेवक याकोब को छुड़ा लिया है; यह बात पृथ्वी के छोर तक फैलाओ.”
21 They weren't thirsty when he led them through the desert—he made water come out of the rock for them. He split the rock open and water poured out.
जब याहवेह उन्हें मरुस्थल में से लेकर आए थे, वे प्यासे नहीं हुए; उनके लिए याहवेह ने चट्टान से जल निकाला था; उन्होंने चट्टान को चीरा और उसमें से जल फूट पड़ा था.
22 The wicked have no peace, says the Lord.
“दुष्टों को कोई शांति नहीं मिलेगी,” यह याहवेह का वचन है.
