Isaiah 44
1 But now listen, Jacob, my servant, Israel, the one I've chosen.
ഇപ്പോഴോ, എന്റെ ദാസനായ യാക്കോബേ, ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യിസ്രായേലേ, കേൾക്ക.
2 This is what the Lord says, the one who made you, who formed you in the womb, and who will help you: Don't be afraid, Jacob, my servant, Jeshurun, the one I've chosen.
നിന്നെ ഉരുവാക്കിയവനും ഗൎഭത്തിൽ നിന്നെ നിൎമ്മിച്ചവനും നിന്നെ സഹായിച്ചവനുമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: എന്റെ ദാസനായ യാക്കോബേ, ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത യെശുരൂനേ, നീ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ.
3 For I'm going to pour out water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground. I'm going to pour out my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your children.
ദാഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നെടത്തു ഞാൻ വെള്ളവും വരണ്ട നിലത്തു നീരൊഴുക്കുകളും പകരും; നിന്റെ സന്തതിമേൽ എന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെയും നിന്റെ സന്താനത്തിന്മേൽ എന്റെ അനുഗ്രഹത്തെയും പകരും.
4 They will grow up among the grass, like willows beside streams.
അവർ പുല്ലിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ നീൎത്തോടുകൾക്കരികെയുള്ള അലരികൾപോലെ മുളെച്ചുവരും.
5 One of them will say, “I belong to the Lord,” while another will call himself by the name Jacob, and yet another will write on his hand, “Belonging to the Lord,” and will name himself Israel.
ഞാൻ യഹോവെക്കുള്ളവൻ എന്നു ഒരുത്തൻ പറയും; മറ്റൊരുത്തൻ തനിക്കു യാക്കോബിന്റെ പേരെടുക്കും; വേറൊരുത്തൻ തന്റെ കൈമേൽ: യഹോവെക്കുള്ളവൻ എന്നു എഴുതി, യിസ്രായേൽ എന്നു മറുപേർ എടുക്കും.
6 This is what the Lord says, the King and Redeemer of Israel, the Lord Almighty: I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God besides me.
യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ രാജാവായ യഹോവ, അവന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ, ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ ആദ്യനും അന്ത്യനും ആകുന്നു; ഞാനല്ലാതെ ഒരു ദൈവവുമില്ല.
7 Who is like me? Let them announce it, make a declaration, and demonstrate it before me. For I was the one who long ago established a people and predicted its future. Let them predict what's going to happen.
ഞാൻ പുരാതനമായോരു ജനത്തെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചതുമുതൽ ഞാൻ എന്നപോലെ വിളിച്ചുപറകയും പ്രസ്താവിക്കയും എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി ഒരുക്കിവെക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ ആർ? സംഭവിക്കുന്നതും സംഭവിപ്പാനുള്ളതും അവർ പ്രസ്താവിക്കട്ടെ.
8 Don't tremble, don't be afraid! Didn't I tell you long ago what I was going to do? Didn't I explain it? You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? There is no other Rock—I don't know any!
നിങ്ങൾ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; പേടിക്കയും വേണ്ടാ; പണ്ടുതന്നേ ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു കേൾപ്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ? നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ സാക്ഷികൾ ആകുന്നു; ഞാനല്ലാതെ ഒരു ദൈവം ഉണ്ടോ? ഒരു പാറയും ഇല്ല; ഞാൻ ഒരുത്തനെയും അറിയുന്നില്ല.
9 All those who make idols are stupid; these things they love so much don't bring them any benefit. Those people who believe in idols can't see this, and they don't know anything, making them look foolish.
വിഗ്രഹത്തെ നിൎമ്മിക്കുന്ന ഏവനും ശൂന്യം; അവരുടെ മനോഹരബിംബങ്ങൾ ഉപകരിക്കുന്നില്ല; അവയുടെ സാക്ഷികളോ ഒന്നും കാണുന്നില്ല, ഒന്നും അറിയുന്നതുമില്ല; ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകുന്നതേയുള്ള.
10 Who makes a god, who molds an idol that's no use to them?
ഒരു ദേവനെ നിൎമ്മിക്കയോ ഒന്നിന്നും കൊള്ളരുതാത്ത ഒരു വിഗ്രഹത്തെ വാൎക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ ആർ?
11 Everyone who makes idols should be ashamed of themselves. Idol-makers are just human beings! Bring them all together and have them stand up, trembling in shame.
ഇതാ അവന്റെ കൂട്ടക്കാർ എല്ലാവരും ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകുന്നു; കൌശലപ്പണിക്കാരോ മനുഷ്യരത്രേ; അവർ എല്ലാവരും ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി നില്ക്കട്ടെ; അവർ ഒരുപോലെ വിറെച്ചു ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകും.
12 The blacksmith makes an iron tool for woodcarving. Working over hot coals, he hammers it into shape as hard as he can. He gets hungry and loses his strength, and because he doesn't drink he grows weak.
കൊല്ലൻ ഉളിയെ മൂൎച്ചയാക്കി തീക്കനലിൽ വേല ചെയ്തു ചുറ്റികകൊണ്ടു അടിച്ചു രൂപമാക്കി ബലമുള്ള ഭുജംകൊണ്ടു പണിതീൎക്കുന്നു; അവൻ വിശന്നു ക്ഷീണിക്കുന്നു; വെള്ളം കുടിക്കാതെ തളൎന്നുപോകുന്നു.
13 The woodworker measures out a piece of wood, and draws an image on it. He carves it with a chisel and uses a compass to make an outline. He creates an idol that looks like a person, someone beautiful, to be put in a shrine.
ആശാരി തോതുപിടിച്ചു ഈയക്കോൽകൊണ്ടു അടയാളമിട്ടു ചീകുളികൊണ്ടു രൂപമാക്കുകയും വൃത്തയന്ത്രംകൊണ്ടു വരെക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഇങ്ങനെ അവൻ അതിനെ മനുഷ്യാകൃതിയിലും പുരുഷകോമളത്വത്തിലും തീൎത്തു ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ വെക്കുന്നു.
14 He chops down cedars, or takes a cypress or an oak. He lets them grow strong in the forest. He plants a fir tree, and the rain makes it grow.
ഒരുവൻ ദേവദാരുക്കളെ വെട്ടുകയും തേക്കും കരിവേലവും എടുക്കയും കാട്ടിലെ വൃക്ഷങ്ങളിൽ അവയെ കണ്ടു ഉറപ്പിക്കയും ഒരു അശോകം നട്ടുപിടിപ്പിക്കയും, മഴ അതിനെ വളൎത്തുകയു ചെയ്യുന്നു.
15 Some wood he burns, to keep him warm and to bake his bread. Then he uses some of the same wood to make a god to worship, an idol he bows down to!
പിന്നെ അതു മനുഷ്യന്നു തീ കത്തിപ്പാൻ ഉതകുന്നു; അവൻ അതിൽ കുറെ എടുത്തു തീ കായുകയും അതു കത്തിച്ചു അപ്പം ചുടുകയും അതുകൊണ്ടു ഒരു ദേവനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി നമസ്കരിക്കയും ഒരു വിഗ്രഹം തീൎത്തു അതിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീഴുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
16 So he burns part of the wood to roast his meat to eat, and to warm him up, and says, “Ah! Look at that fire that keeps me warm!”
അതിൽ ഒരംശംകൊണ്ടു അവൻ തീ കത്തിക്കുന്നു; ഒരംശം കൊണ്ടു ഇറച്ചി ചുട്ടുതിന്നുന്നു; അങ്ങനെ അവൻ ചുട്ടുതിന്നു തൃപ്തനാകുന്നു; അവൻ തീ കാഞ്ഞു; നല്ല തീ, കുളിർ മാറി എന്നു പറയുന്നു.
17 Then he uses the rest of the wood to make himself a god, an idol he bows down to in worship and prays to, saying, “Save me, for you are my god!”
അതിന്റെ ശേഷിപ്പുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ ഒരു ദേവനെ, ഒരു വിഗ്രഹത്തെ തന്നേ, ഉണ്ടാക്കി അതിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണു നമസ്കരിക്കയും അതിനോടു പ്രാൎത്ഥിച്ചു: എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; നീ എന്റെ ദേവനല്ലോ എന്നു പറകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
18 How ignorant they are, how dumb! Their eyes have been plastered over so they can't see, their minds closed so they don't have insight.
അവർ അറിയുന്നില്ല, ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല; കാണാതവണ്ണം അവരുടെ കണ്ണുകളെയും ഗ്രഹിക്കാതവണ്ണം അവരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെയും അവൻ അടെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
19 They can't think things over, they don't have the wisdom or the understanding to say, “Some of the wood I burned in the fire—I used it to bake my bread and roast my meat to eat. The rest of it I used to make a disgusting idol, and I bow down in worship to a block of wood.”
ഒരുത്തനും ഹൃദയത്തിൽ വിചാരിക്കുന്നില്ല: ഒരംശം ഞാൻ കത്തിച്ചു കനലിൽ അപ്പം ചുട്ടു ഇറച്ചിയും ചുട്ടു തിന്നു; ശേഷിപ്പുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ ഒരു മ്ലേച്ഛവിഗ്രഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കുമോ? ഒരു മരമുട്ടിയുടെ മുമ്പിൽ സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീഴുമോ! എന്നിങ്ങനെ പറവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഒരുത്തന്നും അറിവും ഇല്ല, ബോധവുമില്ല.
20 He is feeding on ashes, seduced by the deceptive thinking of his mind. He can't save himself, and he doesn't even ask, “Isn't this idol I'm holding just a lie?”
അവൻ വെണ്ണീർ തിന്നുന്നു; വഞ്ചിക്കപ്പെട്ട അവന്റെ ഹൃദയം അവനെ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളയുന്നു; അവൻ തന്റെ പ്രാണനെ രക്ഷിക്കുന്നില്ല; എന്റെ വലങ്കയ്യിൽ ഭോഷ്കില്ലയോ? എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
21 “Remember all this, Jacob and Israel, for you are my servant. I made you, Israel, you are my servant. I won't forget you.
യാക്കോബേ, ഇതു ഓൎത്തുകൊൾക; യിസ്രായേലേ, നീ എന്റെ ദാസനല്ലോ; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നിൎമ്മിച്ചു; നീ എന്റെ ദാസൻ തന്നേ; യിസ്രായേലേ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ മറന്നുകളകയില്ല.
22 I have wiped away your acts of rebellion as if they were like a cloud, your sins as if they were like the mist. Come back to me, for I have set you free.”
ഞാൻ കാർമുകിലിനെപ്പോലെ നിന്റെ ലംഘനങ്ങളെയും മേഘത്തെപോലെ നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെയും മായിച്ചുകളയുന്നു; എങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞുകൊൾക; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
23 Sing in celebration, you heavens, for the Lord has done this; cry out loud, you depths of the earth. Shout with joy, you mountains, you forests and every tree. For the Lord has set Jacob free, and his glory is shown in Israel!
ആകാശമേ, ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്ക; യഹോവ ഇതു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു ഭൂമിയുടെ അധോഭാഗങ്ങളേ, ആൎത്തുകൊൾവിൻ; പൎവ്വതങ്ങളും വനവും സകലവൃക്ഷങ്ങളും ആയുള്ളോവേ, പൊട്ടിയാൎക്കുവിൻ; യഹോവ യാക്കോബിനെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു യിസ്രായേലിൽ തന്നെത്താൻ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു.
24 This is what the Lord says, your Redeemer, who shaped you in the womb: “I am the Lord, the Creator of everything. I alone made the heavens, and I myself formed the earth.
നിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനും ഗൎഭത്തിൽ നിന്നെ നിൎമ്മിച്ചവനുമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: യഹോവയായ ഞാൻ സകലവും ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ തന്നേ ആകാശത്തെ വിരിക്കയും ഭൂമിയെ പരത്തുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ആർ എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു?
25 I am the one who proves the signs of false prophets are wrong. I am the one who makes fools of fortune-tellers. I turn the wisdom of the wise upside-down, and make their knowledge ridiculous.
ഞാൻ ജല്പകന്മാരുടെ ശകുനങ്ങളെ വ്യൎത്ഥമാക്കുകയും പ്രശ്നക്കാരെ ഭ്രാന്തന്മാരാക്കുകയും ജ്ഞാനികളെ മടക്കി അവരുടെ ജ്ഞാനത്തെ ഭോഷത്വമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
26 But I confirm the messages given by my servants, and fulfill what my messengers say. They state, ‘Jerusalem will be inhabited again, the towns of Judah will be rebuilt, your ruins will be repaired.’
ഞാൻ എന്റെ ദാസന്റെ വചനം നിവൎത്തിച്ചു എന്റെ ദൂതന്മാരുടെ ആലോചന അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു; യെരൂശലേമിൽ നിവാസികൾ ഉണ്ടാകുമെന്നും യെഹൂദാനഗരങ്ങൾ പണിയപ്പെടും, ഞാൻ അവയുടെ ഇടിവുകളെ നന്നാക്കും എന്നും കല്പിക്കുന്നു.
27 When I order deep waters, ‘Dry up!’ I will make sure the rivers dry up!
ഞാൻ ആഴിയോടു ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോക; നിന്റെ നദികളെ ഞാൻ വറ്റിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു കല്പിക്കുന്നു.
28 When I say to Cyrus, ‘You are my shepherd,’ he will carry out everything I wish. He will give the order, ‘Jerusalem shall be rebuilt,’ and he will say, ‘the Temple shall be restored.’”
കോരെശ് എന്റെ ഇടയൻ; അവൻ എന്റെ ഹിതമൊക്കെയും നിവൎത്തിക്കും എന്നും യെരൂശലേം പണിയപ്പെടും, മന്ദിരത്തിന്നു അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇടും എന്നും ഞാൻ കല്പിക്കുന്നു.
