< Isaiah 43 >

1 But now this is what the Lord says to Jacob, the one who created you; to Israel, the one who formed you: “Don't be afraid! I have saved you! I have called you by name; you are mine!
Ma ugbu a, nke a bụ ihe Onyenwe anyị kwuru, bụ onye kere gị, Jekọb, na onye kpụrụ gị Izrel, “Atụla egwu, nʼihi na agbapụtala m gị. Akpọọla m gị aha, ị bụkwa nke m.
2 When you walk through the water, I will be with you; and when you go through the rivers, they won't flood over you. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you on fire.
3 For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I gave Egypt to pay for your freedom; I traded Ethiopia and Seba for you.
4 Because you are so valuable to me, because I honor you, and because I love you, I give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your lives.
Ebe ị bụ ihe dị oke ọnụahịa nʼanya m, ebe ọ bụkwa na m hụrụ gị nʼanya, aga m ewere ndị mmadụ nye nʼihi ịgbapụta gị. Aga m ebibi ndụ ndị mmadụ nʼihi ichebe gị ndụ.
5 Don't be afraid, for I am with you! I will bring you and your children from the east and the west, and gather you together.
Atụla egwu nʼihi na anọnyeere m gị. Aga m esite nʼọwụwa anyanwụ na nʼọdịda anyanwụ chịkọtaa ụmụ gị.
6 I will tell the north, ‘Hand them over!’ and the south, ‘Don't stop them!’ Bring my sons back from far away and my daughters from distant lands.
Aga m enyekwa ugwu na ndịda iwu sị ha, ‘Hapụnụ ha ka ha laa, unu egbochikwala ha.’ Hapụnụ ndị m ka ha site nʼala niile dị anya nke nsọtụ ụwa lọghachi,
7 Bring back everyone who bears my name, those I created for my honor, those I formed and made.
onye ọbụla nke a na-akpọ aha m, onye m kere nʼihi otuto m, onye m kpụrụ, ma meekwa.”
8 Bring back those who have eyes but are blind, those who have ears but are deaf.
9 Have all the nations gather together! Have all the peoples assemble! Who among them could have said this, and predict what was going to happen? Have them bring their witnesses to prove that they're right. Then have them listen, and say, ‘It's true!’
Mba niile dị iche iche ezukọtala, mmadụ niile agbakọtakwala. Onye nʼime chi ha kwuru na ihe dị otu a ga-eme, onye kwa kwuru ihe ndị a mere nʼoge gara aga?
10 However, you are my witnesses, the Lord declares, and my chosen servant, so that you can think about it, and believe me and understand that I am God. No god preceded me, and none will come after me.
“Unu bụ ndị akaebe m,” ka Onyenwe anyị kwupụtara, “bụrụkwa ndị ohu m họpụtara, ka unu mara m, ma kwerekwa na m, ghọtakwa na Mụ onwe m bụ onye ahụ. Ọ dịghị chi a kpụrụ tupu m dịrị, ọ dịkwaghị nke ga-eso m nʼazụ.
11 I, yes I am the Lord, and there is no Savior apart from me.
Mụ, ọ bụ na naanị m, bụ Onyenwe anyị, ọ dịkwaghị onye nzọpụta ọzọ dị ma ewezuga m.
12 I predicted what was going to happen, then I saved you, then I announced it—there was no foreign god among you that did this. You are my witnesses that I am God, declares the Lord.
Mụ onwe m egosila, zọpụta ma kwupụtakwa ya, mee ka unu nụrụ ya, mụ onwe m, ọ bụghị chi ndị mba ọzọ nọ nʼetiti unu. Unu bụkwa ndị akaebe m, na mụ onwe bụ Chineke,” otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwubiri ya.
13 I am God from the beginning. No one can snatch anybody from my hand. No one can reverse what I do.
“E, site nʼebighị ebi ruo nʼebighị ebi, mụ onwe m bụ Chineke. Ọ dịghị onye pụrụ ịnapụta m ihe m ji nʼaka. Mgbe m rụrụ ọrụ, onye pụrụ ịgbanwe ya?”
14 This is what the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, says: For your sake I will send attackers against Babylon and bring them down. All the Babylonians will be like fugitives, escaping in the ships they're so proud of.
Nke a bụ ihe Onyenwe anyị kwuru, Onye mgbapụta unu na Onye nsọ nke Izrel. “Nʼihi unu, aga m eziga ozi na Babilọn budata ndị Kaldịa niile dịka ndị gbapụrụ agbapụ, nʼime ụgbọ mmiri ahụ niile ha ji anya isi.
15 I am the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, and your King.
Mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị, Onye nsọ gị, onye kere Izrel, Eze unu.”
16 This is what the Lord says, the one who makes a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters;
Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị kwuru, bụ onye ahụ kwara ụzọ nʼime osimiri, nke mere ka okporoụzọ dịrị nʼime oke osimiri.
17 the one who brought out a great army with it horses and chariots and lay them down, never to rise again, snuffed out like a burning wick.
Nke na-eme ka ụgbọ ndị agha dị ukwuu, na ịnyịnya pụta, ndị agha na ụsụ ha achịkọtara ọnụ, mee ha ka ha dinaa nʼebe ahụ, ghara ibilitekwa ọzọ, dịka ha bụ ọkụ ogho oriọna e menyụrụ emenyụ.
18 But don't dwell on the past; don't concentrate on what happened back then.
“Chefuonu ihe ndị ahụ niile mere nʼoge gara aga; unu atụgharịkwala uche unu na ha.
19 Just look at something new I'm going to do now! In fact it's started already. Can't you see it? Yes, I'm making a way through the wilderness, rivers in the desert!
20 The wild animals will be grateful to me, the jackals and the owls, because I'm providing water in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, so my people, my chosen people, can drink.
Anụ ọhịa niile na-asọpụrụ m, nkịta ọhịa, na enyi nnụnụ niile na-ekele m, nʼihi na emeela m ka mmiri jupụta nʼọzara, meekwa ka isi iyi na-asọ nʼala ebe tọgbọrọ nʼefu, nye ndị nke m ihe ọṅụṅụ, bụ ndị m họpụtara.
21 I made this people for myself so that through their praise for me they could make me known.
Ndị m kpụrụ nye onwe m, ka ha kọsaa akụkọ otuto m.
22 But you haven't called on me for help, Jacob. You've grown tired of me, Israel.
“Ma unu akpọkughị m, Jekọb, kama ihe banyere m agwụla gị ike, Izrel.
23 You haven't brought me sheep for burnt offerings; you haven't honored me with your sacrifices. I haven't burdened you by asking for grain offerings; I haven't tired you out by demanding incense.
I kpụrụghị atụrụ wetara m maka aja nsure ọkụ, maọbụ jiri aja niile sọpụrụ m. O nweghị mgbe m kwagidere gị ka i wetara m onyinye mkpụrụ ọka, maọbụ mee ka ike gwụ gị site nʼịna gị ụda na-esi isi ụtọ.
24 You haven't used your money to buy scented calamus; you have not pleased me with the fat of your sacrifices. Instead you have burdened me with your sins, and tired me out with your guilt.
Unu ewetabereghị m ụda kalamus na-esi isi ụtọ, maọbụ were abụba anụ nke aja unu niile mee ka obi tọọ m ụtọ. Kama ọ bụ naanị mmehie unu ka unu na-ebokwasị m, unu ejirila ajọ omume unu mee ka ike gwụsịa m.
25 I, yes I am the God who wipes out your sins because of who I am, and who doesn't remember your sins any more.
“Mụ onwe m, ọ bụ naanị mụ onwe m, bụ onye na-ehichapụ mmehie unu. Ana m emekwa ya nʼihi na ọ dị m mma nʼobi ime ya. Agakwaghị m echeta mmehie unu ọzọ.
26 Remind me of the evidence so we can come to a decision together! Present your case to prove that you're right!
Chetara m ihe gara aga, ka anyị rụrịta ụka nʼetiti onwe anyị, doo okwu gị nʼusoro igosi na ị bụ onye ikpe na-amaghị.
27 Your very first father sinned, and your leaders rebelled against me.
Site na mmalite, nna nna unu ha mehiere megide m. Ndị m dunyere ka ha kuziere unu ihe nupukwara isi megide m.
28 So I treated the priests of the sanctuary with contempt, and I handed Jacob over to be destroyed, and Israel to be scorned.”
