Isaiah 4

1 At that time seven women will grab hold of one man and tell him, “We'll eat our own food and we can provide our own clothes. Just let us take your name by being married to you. Please take away our disgrace!”

Sept femmes saisiront un seul homme en ce jour, et diront: « Nous mangerons notre pain, et nous nous vêtirons de nos habits; permets seulement que nous portions ton nom; ôte notre opprobre. »

2 But at that time, the “branch of the Lord” will be attractive and glorious; the fruit the land produces will be the pride and glory of the survivors who are left in Israel.

En ce jour-là, le germe de Yahweh fera l’ornement et la gloire, et le fruit de la terre, fera l’orgueil et la parure des réchappés d’Israël.

3 Everyone who remains in Zion will be called holy—all of those who are recorded among the living in Jerusalem—

Et ceux qui seront restés dans Sion, et ceux qui auront été épargnés dans Jérusalem seront appelés saints, tous ceux qui sont inscrits pour la vie dans Jérusalem.

4 once the Lord has washed away the excrement of the daughters of Zion, and cleaned the bloodstains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire.

Quand Yahweh aura lavé les souillures des filles de Sion, et purifié Jérusalem du sang qui est au milieu d’elle, par l’esprit de jugement et par l’esprit d’extermination,

5 Then the Lord will create over the whole of Mount Zion and over the assembly of those who meet there a cloud of smoke during the day and a blazing flame of fire during night—over everything there will be this glorious canopy.

alors Yahweh créera sur toute l’étendue de la montagne de Sion, et sur ses assemblées, une nuée durant le jour et une fumée, et l’éclat d’une flamme ardente pendant la nuit. Car sur toute sa gloire il y aura un dais;

6 It will provide a place to stay in the shade of the daytime heat, and a shelter to hide from storm and rain.

et il y aura une tente pour donner de l’ombrage contre les ardeurs du jour, et pour servir de refuge et d’abri contre l’orage et la pluie.
