< Isaiah 38 >
1 About this time Hezekiah fell very sick and was about to die. The prophet Isaiah, son of Amoz, went to him and said, “This is what the Lord says: Put your affairs in order, because you are going to die. You won't recover.”
Na tango wana, Ezekiasi abelaki bokono moko ya makasi, pene akufa. Mosakoli Ezayi, mwana mobali ya Amotsi, akendeki epai na ye mpe alobaki: « Tala liloba oyo Yawe alobi: Bongisa makambo ya ndako na yo, pamba te okokufa, okobika te. »
2 When Hezekiah heard this, he went to pray privately to the Lord, saying
Ezekiasi abalolaki elongi na ye na mir mpe abondelaki Yawe:
3 “Please remember Lord how I have followed you faithfully with all my heart. I have done what is good in your sight.” Then Hezekiah cried and cried.
« Oh Yawe, kanisa ndenge nini natambolaki liboso na Yo na boyengebene, ndenge nini namipesaki epai na Yo na motema na ngai mobimba mpe ndenge nini nasalaki makambo ya malamu na miso na Yo. » Mpe Ezekiasi alelaki mingi.
4 Then the Lord sent a message to Isaiah, saying,
Bongo, Yawe alobaki na Ezayi:
5 “Go and tell Hezekiah, This is what the Lord, the God of your forefather David, says: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears. I will add fifteen years to your life.
« Kende koloba na Ezekiasi: ‹ Yawe, Nzambe ya tata na yo, Davidi, alobi: ‘Nayoki libondeli na yo mpe namoni mpinzoli na yo. Nakobakisa mibu zomi na mitano na mikolo ya bomoi na yo.
6 I will save you and this city from the king of Assyria. I will defend this city.
Nakokangola yo elongo na engumba oyo, na maboko ya mokonzi ya Asiri, mpe nakobatela yango.’
7 This is the sign from the Lord to you that the Lord will do what he promised:
Bongo, tala elembo ya Yawe, elembo oyo ekolakisa mpo na yo ete Yawe akokokisa makambo oyo asili kolaka:
8 Look, I will make the shadow made by the sun go back the ten steps that it has gone down on the stairway of Ahaz. So the sun went back the ten steps that it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.”
Nakozongisa sima, na badegre zomi, elili ya moyi oyo ekitaki na tango ya Akazi. › » Boye, moyi ezongaki sima, mpe ekitaki na badegre zomi.
9 This is what Hezekiah, king of Judah, wrote after he recovered from his sickness:
Tala loyembo oyo Ezekiasi, mokonzi ya Yuda, akomaki na mokanda tango abikaki na bokono.
10 I said to myself, “Do I have to go to my death just as my life is going well? Why can't I count on the rest of my years?” (Sheol )
Nazalaki komilobela: « Tango nazali nanu na makasi na nzoto, naleka solo na nzela ya ekuke ya kufa mpe nazangela mibu oyo etikali na bomoi na ngai? » (Sheol )
11 I said, “I will never again see the Lord, the Lord, in the land of the living. I won't see anyone else again, none of the inhabitants of this world.
Namilobelaki: « Nakomona lisusu Yawe te, Yawe, na mokili ya bato ya bomoi; nakomona lisusu ata moto moko te to kowumela elongo na bato oyo bavandi na mokili ya lelo!
12 Like a shepherd's tent, the place where I live has been pulled up and taken away from me. Like a weaver I have rolled up the cloth of my life and cut it from the loom. Day and night you bring me to an end.
Mikolo ya bomoi esili, elongwe na bomoi na ngai ndenge balongolaka ndako ya kapo ya mobateli bibwele. Akati bomoi ngai ndenge motongi bilamba akataka basinga soki asilisi kotonga elamba. Longwa na moyi kino na butu, akomisi bomoi na ngai na suka.
13 I lie there patiently until the morning, but I feel like there's a lion breaking every bone in my body. Day and night you bring me to an end.
Nakangaki motema kino na tongo; kasi lokola nkosi, abuki-buki mikuwa na ngai nyonso. Longwa na moyi kino na butu, akomisi bomoi na ngai na suka.
14 I scream like a swift or a songbird, I moan like a dove. My eyes grow dim as I look heavenwards. I'm being attacked, Lord, please come and support me!
Nazalaki koganga lokola mbilambila to ndeke ya mayi, nazalaki kolela lokola ebenga. Miso na ngai elembaki kotala likolo. Oh Yawe, natungisami, batela ngai! »
15 Yet what can I say? He told me what was going to happen, and he himself did it. I will walk quietly for the rest of my life because of the painful experience I went through.
Kasi naloba nini mpo ete ayanola ngai, pamba te Ye moko nde asali yango! Mibu nyonso ya bomoi na ngai, nakotambola na komikitisa likolo ya pasi ya motema na ngai.
16 Lord, we live by what you say and do, and I find life in all of this. You have given me back my health and allowed me to live.
Nkolo, bato babikaka mpo na bolamu na Yo; ezali mpe na nzela na yango nde ngai nazwi bomoi. Ozongiselaki ngai nzoto kolongono mpe opesi ngai bomoi.
17 It was definitely for my own good I went through this bitter experience. You in your love saved me from the pit of destruction and you have forgiven all my sins.
Solo, pasi na ngai ebongwani esengo; na bolingo na Yo, obateli ngai longwa na libulu na kufa; obwaki masumu na ngai nyonso sima na mokongo na yo.
18 Those in the grave cannot praise you, the dead cannot praise you. Those who go down into the pit can no longer hope in your faithfulness. (Sheol )
Pamba te mboka ya bakufi ekoki te kokumisa Yo, kufa ekoki kosanzola Yo te; bato oyo bakitaka na mboka ya bakufi bazalaka na elikya na boyengebene na Yo te. (Sheol )
19 It's only the living who can praise you as I'm doing today. Parents explain to their children how you can be trusted.
Bato na bomoi, bato ya bomoi kaka nde basanzolaka Yo ndenge ngai nazali kosanzola Yo lelo. Batata bakoteya bana na bango boyengebene na Yo.
20 The Lord saved me! We will sing my songs with stringed instruments all the days of our lives in the Lord's Temple.”
Yawe, lokola obikisi ngai, tokobeta mindule na biso mikolo nyonso ya bomoi na biso na Tempelo ya Yawe.
21 Isaiah had said, “Prepare a dressing of figs and spread it on the skin sores so he may recover.”
Ezayi alobaki: — Bozwa liboke ya figi, botia yango na pota; mpe mokonzi akobika.
22 Hezekiah had asked, “What is the sign to confirm that I will go to the Lord's Temple?”
Ezekiasi alobaki: — Elembo nini ekolakisa ngai ete nakokende na Tempelo ya Yawe?
