Isaiah 23
1 A message about Tyre. Howl, people on the ships of Tarshish! Tyre has been destroyed—nothing is left of the houses and the harbor. They heard the news from the people of Cyprus.
टुरोसको बारेमा एउटा घोषणाः ए तर्शीशका पानी जहाजहरू हो कराओ । किनकि त्यहाँ न घर छ न बन्दरगाह नै छ । साइप्रसको देशबाट यो कुरा तिनीहरूलाई प्रकट गरिएको छ ।
2 Stay shocked into silence, people of the coastlands, merchants of Sidon, and sailors.
ए समुद्री तटका बासिन्दाहरू हो, मौन बस । समुद्रमा यात्रा गर्ने सीदोनका व्यापारीहरूले तिमीहरूलाई भरिदिएका छन् ।
3 Egyptian grain came across the wide oceans. The Nile's harvest was what made Tyre money; she was the merchant to the nations.
ठुला पानीमाथि सिहोरको अन्न थियो, नील नदीको उत्पादन त्यसको उब्जनी थियो । अनि त्यो जातिहरूको व्यापार भयो ।
4 Feel the shame, Sidon! For the fortress of the sea says, “I have no children, having never been in labor or given birth. I have not brought up young men or brought up young women.”
ए सीदोन, लज्जित हो, किनकि समुद्रले, समुद्रको शक्तिशालीले बोलेको छ । त्यसले भन्छ, “म प्रसव वेदनामा परेको छैन, न बालक जन्माएको छु, न मैले छोराहरू हुर्काएको छु, न छोरीहरू हुर्काएको छु ।”
5 When the news about Tyre reaches Egypt they will be in agony.
मिश्रदेशमा खबर आउँदा, टुरोसको विषयमा तिनीहरूले शोक गर्नेछन् ।
6 Sail across to Tarshish! Howl, people of the coastlands!
तर्शीशपारि जाओ । ए समुद्र तटका बासिन्दाहरू हो, तिमीहरू विलाप गर ।
7 Is this really your triumphant city, whose beginnings are from the distant past, who has sent out people to colonize faraway places?
ए आनन्दित सहर, के तँलाई यस्तो भएको छ, जसको उत्पत्ति प्राचीन समयमा नै भएको छ, जसका खुट्टाले त्यसलाई बसोबास गर्न विदेशी भूमिमा पुर्याएको छ?
8 Who planned this attack on Tyre? Tyre, who created kingdoms, whose merchants were princes, whose traders were honored around the world!
मुकुटहरू दिने टुरोसको विरुद्धमा यो योजना कसले बनाएको हो, जसका व्यापारीहरू शासकहरू छन्, जसका व्यापारीहरू पृथ्वीमा नै आदरणिय छन्?
9 The Lord Almighty planned it, to humble its pride in all its glory, and to bring down all who receive worldly honor.
त्यसका घमण्ड र त्यसका सबै गौरवलाई अपमान गर्न, त्यसका पृथ्वीकै आदरणियलाई लज्जित पार्न सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुले नै यो योजना बनाउनुभएको हो ।
10 Work your land, people of Tarshish, as they do beside the Nile, for you don't have a harbor anymore.
ए तर्शीशकी छोरी हो, नील नदीलाई जोतेझैं आफ्नो खेत जोत् । टुरोसमा अब फेरि बजार-क्षेत्र छैन ।
11 The Lord held his hand out over the sea and shook kingdoms. He has condemned Phoenicia, giving the order to destroy their fortresses.
परमप्रभुले समुद्रमाथि आफ्नो हात पसार्नुभएको छ र उहाँले राज्यहरूलाई हल्लाउनुभएको छ । फोनिकेको विषयमा त्यसका किल्लाहरूलाई नाश गर्ने आज्ञा उहाँले दिनुभएको छ ।
12 He said, “Don't celebrate any more, mistreated virgin daughter of Sidon. Go and sail over to Cyprus—however, even there you won't find rest.”
उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “ए सीदोनकी अत्याचारमा परेकी कन्या छोरी, तैले फेरि आनन्द मनाउने छैनस् । उठ्, साइप्रसमा पारि जा । तर तैंले त्यहाँ पनि विश्राम पाउनेछैनस् ।”
13 Look at the country of the Babylonians, this people that are not as they used to be! The Assyrians have turned it into a place for desert animals. They set up their siege towers, they demolished the fortresses, and ruined the country.
कल्दीहरूको देशलाई हेर् । यी मानिहरू समाप्त भएका छन् । अश्शूरीहरूले त्यसलाई जङ्गली जनावरहरूको निम्ति उजाड-स्थान बनाएका छन् । तिनीहरूले आफ्ना घेरा-मचान खडा गरेका छन् । तिनीहरूले त्यसका दरबारहरू नष्ट गरे । तिनीहरूले त्यसलाई भग्नावशेषको थुप्रो बनाए ।
14 Howl, people on the ships of Tarshish because your fortress is destroyed!
ए तर्शीशका पानी जहाजहरू हो, कराओ । किनकि तिमीहरूका शरणस्थान विनाश गरिएको छ ।
15 At that time Tyre will be forgotten for seventy years, a king's lifetime, as it were. But at the end of these seventy years, Tyre will be like the song about a prostitute,
त्यो दिनमा, राजाका समयमा झैं टुरोसलाई सत्तरी वर्षसम्म बिर्सिइनेछ । सत्तरी वर्षको अन्तमा टुरोसमा वेश्यको गीतमा जस्तै कुनै कुरा हुनेछ ।
16 “Take a lyre and walk around the city, forgotten prostitute! Play and sing so people will remember you!”
ए बिर्सिएकी वेश्या, एउटा वीणा लि र सहरमा जा । त्यो राम्ररी बजा, धेरै गीतहरू गा, ताकि तेरो सम्झना गरिनेछ ।
17 After seventy years, the Lord will restore Tyre. But then she will go back to hiring herself out as a prostitute, selling herself to all the kingdoms of the world.
सत्तरी वर्षपछि त्यो दिन यस्तो हुनेछ, परमप्रभुले टुरोसलाई सहायता गर्नुहुनेछ र त्यसले फेरि वेश्यवृत्ति गरेर पैसा कमाउन सुरु गर्नेछे, र त्यसले आफ्ना सेवाहरू पृथ्वीका सबै राज्यहरूलाई दिनेछे ।
18 However, her profits and what she earns will consecrated to the Lord. They won't be kept or saved up, for her business earnings will go to those who worship the Lord, to provide them with plenty of food and good clothes.
त्यसका नाफाहरू र कमाइहरू परमप्रभुको निम्ति अलग गरिनेछ । ती भण्डारमा राखिने वा कोषमा जम्मा गरिने छैन, किनकि त्यसका नाफाहरू पमप्रभुको उपस्थितिमा बस्नेहरूलाई दिइनेछ र तिनीहरूलाई प्रशस्त खाना आपुर्ती गर्न प्रयोग गरिनेछ, र यसरी तिनीहरूसँग उत्तम गुणस्तर लुगा हुनेछ ।
