Isaiah 11
1 A shoot will grow from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots will produce fruit.
যিশয় কুলের মূলকাণ্ড থেকে একটি শাখা নির্গত হবে; তার মূল থেকে উৎপন্ন এক শাখায় ফল ধরবে।
2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him, which is Spirit of wisdom and understanding, a Spirit of advice and power, a Spirit of knowledge and awe of the Lord.
সদাপ্রভুর আত্মা তাঁর উপরে অবস্থিতি করবেন, তা হল প্রজ্ঞা ও বুদ্ধির আত্মা, পরামর্শদানের ও পরাক্রমের আত্মা, জ্ঞানের আত্মা ও সদাপ্রভুর ভয়ের আত্মা
3 His happiness will be in giving reverence to the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees, and he will not make decisions based on what he hears.
আর তিনি সদাপ্রভুর ভয়ে আনন্দিত হবেন। তিনি চোখের দৃষ্টি অনুযায়ী বিচার করবেন না, কিংবা কানে যা শোনেন, সেই অনুযায়ী সিদ্ধান্ত নেবেন না;
4 Instead, he will judge the poor justly, and make decisions fairness on behalf of the destitute people of the earth. He will strike the earth when he pronounces judgment, and he will execute the wicked with just a word from his lips.
কিন্তু ধার্মিকতায় তিনি নিঃস্ব ব্যক্তির বিচার করবেন, ন্যায়ের সঙ্গে তিনি পৃথিবীর দরিদ্রদের বিচার নিষ্পত্তি করবেন। তিনি তাঁর মুখের লাঠি দিয়ে পৃথিবীকে আঘাত করবেন; তাঁর ওষ্ঠাধরের শ্বাসে তিনি দুষ্টদের সংহার করবেন।
5 He will wear goodness like a sash and trustworthiness like a belt.
ধার্মিকতা হবে তাঁর কোমরবন্ধনী এবং বিশ্বস্ততা হবে তাঁর কোমরে জড়ানো পটুকা।
6 Wolves will live with lambs; leopards will lie down with young goats, calves and young lions and young livestock will be together, and a small child will lead them along.
নেকড়েবাঘ মেষশাবকের সঙ্গে একত্র থাকবে, চিতাবাঘ ছাগশাবকের সঙ্গে শুয়ে থাকবে, বাছুর, সিংহ ও নধর পশু একত্র থাকবে; একটি ছোটো শিশু তাদের চালিয়ে বেড়াবে।
7 Cows and bears will graze side by side; young lions will eat straw like cattle.
গরু ভালুকের কাছে একসঙ্গে চরে বেড়াবে, তাদের বাছুরেরা একসঙ্গে শুয়ে থাকবে, আর সিংহ বলদের মতোই বিচালি খাবে।
8 Babies will be able to play safely near snake holes, little children will be able to put their hands into a vipers' den.
স্তন্যপায়ী শিশু কেউটে সাপের গর্তের কাছে খেলা করবে, ছোটো শিশু বিষধর সাপের গর্তে হাত দেবে।
9 Nothing will cause any harm or damage anywhere on my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord in the same way that water fills the sea.
সেই সাপেরা আমার পবিত্র পর্বতের কোথাও কোনো ক্ষতি বা বিনাশ করবে না, কারণ সমুদ্র যেমন জলরাশিতে আচ্ছন্ন, পৃথিবী তেমনই সদাপ্রভুর জ্ঞানে পরিপূর্ণ হবে।
10 At that time the root of Jesse will stand like a banner for the nations. Foreigners will come to him, and the place of where he lives will be glorious.
সেদিন যিশয়ের মূল, জাতিসমূহের পতাকারূপে দাঁড়াবেন; সব জাতি তাঁর প্রতি ধাবিত হবে এবং তাঁর বিশ্রামের স্থান প্রতাপান্বিত হবে।
11 At that time the Lord will act a second time to bring back the remnant of His people from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Ethiopia, Elam, Babylonia, Hamath, and from the Mediterranean islands.
সেদিন প্রভু দ্বিতীয়বার সেই অবশিষ্টাংশকে পুনরুদ্ধার করবেন, অর্থাৎ আসিরিয়া, মিশরের নিম্নাঞ্চল ও উচ্চতর অঞ্চল, ও কূশ থেকে, এলম, ব্যাবিলনিয়া, হমাৎ ও সমুদ্রের দ্বীপগুলি থেকে অবশিষ্ট লোকদের উদ্ধার করবেন।
12 He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiled people of Israel; he will bring together the scattered people of Judah from the ends of the earth.
তিনি জাতিসমূহের উদ্দেশে একটি পতাকা তুলে ধরবেন এবং ইস্রায়েলের নির্বাসিতদের একত্র করবেন; তিনি পৃথিবীর চার কোণে ছড়িয়ে পড়া যিহূদার লোকদের সমবেত করবেন।
13 Ephraim's jealousy will disappear, and Judah's enemies will be destroyed; Ephraim won't be jealous of Judah, and Judah won't treat Ephraim as an enemy.
ইফ্রয়িমের ঈর্ষা বিলীন হবে, আর যিহূদার শত্রুরা উৎখাত হবে; ইফ্রয়িম যিহূদার প্রতি ঈর্ষা করবে না, যিহূদাও ইফ্রয়িমের প্রতি হিংস্র হবে না।
14 Together they will fly downhill to attack the Philistines to the west; they will plunder the people of the east. They will defeat Edom and Moab, and the Ammonites will become their subjects.
তারা পশ্চিম প্রান্তে ফিলিস্তিয়ার ঢালে ছোঁ মারবে; একত্র তারা পূর্বদিকের লোকেদের দ্রব্য লুণ্ঠন করবে। তারা ইদোম ও মোয়াবের উপরে হস্তক্ষেপ করবে, আর অম্মোনীয়েরা তাদের বশ্যতাধীন হবে।
15 The Lord will divide the Gulf of Suez; he will wave his hand over the Euphrates River creating a scorching wind. He will split into seven streams that people can cross easily on foot.
সদাপ্রভু মিশরীয় সমুদ্রের খাড়িকে শুকিয়ে ফেলবেন; উষ্ণ বাতাস প্রবাহিত করে তিনি ইউফ্রেটিস নদীর উপরে হাত চালাবেন। তিনি সাতটি শাখায় তা বিভক্ত করবেন, যেন লোকেরা চটি পায়েই তা পার হতে পারে।
16 There will be a highway from Assyria for the remnant of his people that are left, just as there was for Israel when they left the land of Egypt.
আসিরিয়া থেকে যারা অবশিষ্ট থাকবে, তাঁর প্রজাদের বাকি লোকদের জন্য একটি রাজপথ তৈরি হবে, যেমন মিশর থেকে বের হয়ে আসার সময়ে ইস্রায়েলীদের জন্য তৈরি হয়েছিল।
