< Hosea 7 >
1 when I heal Israel, Ephraim's sins will be exposed, together with the evil actions of Samaria. They deal in lies; they are thieves who break into homes and rob people on the outside.
Isarel dam sak hanlah ka kâcai navah, Ephraim e yonnae hoi Samaria hawihoehnae bout a kamnue. Ahnimouh teh lawkkam cak awh hoeh. Athung lah tamru ouk a kâen teh, alawilah hai dingca ni ouk a tuk awh.
2 But they don't realize that I remember all of their wickedness. Their sins surround them and are always before me.
Ahnimae hawihoehnae pueng Kai ni ka pâkuem tie hah a lung dawk pouk awh hoeh. Atu patenghai hote hno ni a kalup awh toe. Ka hmaitung vah ao awh.
3 They make their king happy with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies.
Kahawihoeh e hno hoi siangpahrangnaw a lunghawi sak awh teh, laithoe lawk hoi bawinaw a lunghawi sak awh.
4 All of them are adulterers, burning with lust like an oven whose fire stays hot, even though it is not tended by the baker, having left the dough to rise after kneading.
Ahnimouh pueng teh kamsoumhoehe napui tongpa yonnae ka sak e lah ao awh. Vaiyei ka thawng e ni hmai sut a patawi teh, tavai a kanawk hnukkhu a po hoehnahlan racum laipalah karoum e hoi a kâvan awh.
5 On the king's birthday the princes drink so much they are sick, while he joins in with those who mock.
Maimae siagpahrang hnin navah, bawinaw ni misur koung a parui awh teh, ka dudam e naw hoi kut reirei a dâw awh.
6 Their minds are fired up like an oven; they go to him with their plots. All through the night their anger burns; in the morning it blazes out uncontrollably.
Arulahoi a pawp awh lahunnah, amamae lungthin teh takhuen hmai patetlah a kâcai awh.
7 All of them are as hot as a burning oven, and they exhaust their leaders. All of their kings have fallen, and not one of them calls on me.
Takhuen hmai patetlah a kâan awh teh, ahnimae lawkcengkung bawinaw hah a kak awh. Amamae siangpahrang pueng teh, a rawp awh. Kai na ka kaw e buet touh hai awm awh hoeh.
8 Ephraim mixes with the foreign nations; he is as useless as half-baked bread!
Ephraim teh Jentelnaw hoi a kâkalawt awh. Ka kamhmi hoeh e vaiyei lah ao awh.
9 Foreigners drain his strength, and he doesn't even realize it. His hair is turning grey and he doesn't even notice.
Amamouh ni panuek laipalah ramlouknaw ni a thaonae teh koung a ca pouh toe. A sam koung a po awh toe. Hatei, amamouh ni panuek awh hoeh.
10 Israel's pride testifies against him, but for all of this he still does not return to the Lord their God or look for him.
Isarelnaw e kâoupnae teh amamae hmaitung vah a kamnue eiteh, BAWIPA Cathut koe ban awh hoeh. Cathut hai tawng awh hoeh.
11 Ephraim is like a dove, foolish and without sense—calling to Egypt, then going to Assyria.
Ephraim teh pouknae ka tawn hoeh e bakhu hoi a kâvan. Izip a kaw awh teh, Assiria vah a yawng awh.
12 When they go I will throw my net over them; I will bring them down like wild birds. When I hear them flocking together I will punish them.
A cei nah tangkuem koe tamlawk hoi ka heng vaiteh, kahlun e tavanaw patetlah ka man han. A kamkhuengnae koevah, ka thai e patetlah ka yue han.
13 What disaster is coming to them because they have strayed from me! Destruction is coming to them because they have rebelled against me! I wish I could redeem them, but they tell lies about me.
Ahnimouh teh, kai koehoi a yawng awh toe. Ahnimouh koe rawknae teh a pha. Bangkongtetpawiteh, kai na taran awh teh, kâ a tapoe awh. Ahnimanaw hah ka ratang ei, Kai na taran awh teh, laithoe a dei awh.
14 They do not cry out to me with sincere minds; instead they lie on their beds howling. They assemble together and gash themselves to gain grain and new wine, but they turn away from me.
Ikhun dawk a cingou awh toteh, Kai na kaw awh hoeh. Cakang, Misur tui tawn laipalah, a kamkhueng awh teh, kai na taran awh.
15 I myself trained them and made them strong, but now they plot evil against me.
Kai ni ka yue ei, ka caksak ei, Kai na taran awh teh, kahawihoehe hah a pouk awh.
16 They turn, but not to the Most High; they are like a useless bow. Their leaders will be killed by the sword because of their cursing. Because of this they will be ridiculed in Egypt.
Ka dumnae licung patetlah ao awh. Bawinaw teh, a pacekpahlek awh dawkvah, tahloi hoi a due awh han. Izipnaw ni a panuikhai awh han.
