< Hosea 11 >
1 I loved Israel when he was a child. He's my son I called out of Egypt.
LEUM GOD El fahk, “Pacl ses Israel el sie tulik, nga lungse el, Ac pangnolma liki Egypt oana ke el wen nutik.
2 As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed to the Baals and offered incense to idols.
Ke pus na pacl nga pang nu sel, Puseni pac pacl el forla likiyu. Mwet luk uh orek kisa nu sel Baal; Elos esukak mwe keng nu ke ma sruloala.
3 I myself taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by the hand, but they didn't realize I was the one who healed them.
Tusruktu, nga pa luti Israel in etu fahsr. Nga kafisak mwet luk in pouk, A elos tiana akilen lah nga karinganulos.
4 I led them along with cords of kindness, with ropes of love. I was the one who eased their burden and bent down to feed them.
Nga amakunulosme nu yuruk ke pakomuta ac lungse yohk luk. Nga sraklalosyak ac kaosulosme nu likintupuk. Nga kui nu ten ac kitalos.
5 However, because my people refuse to return to me, they will not return to the land of Egypt but Assyria shall be their king.
“Elos srunga foloko nu yuruk, na pa elos enenu in folokla nu Egypt, ac Assyria fah leum faclos.
6 War will sweep through their cities, putting an end to their boasting and destroying their plans.
Mweun ac fah pokla siti selos ac kunausla mutunpot we. Mweun ac fah sukela mwet luk mweyen elos oru na lungse lalos sifacna.
7 My people are hanging on to their apostasy from me. They call him “god on high” but he will not raise them up at all.
Elos sruasrala in forla likiyu. Elos ac wowoyak ke sripen srenenu ma oan faclos, tuh wangin sie fah srukak lukelos.
8 How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I let you go, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? My heart is breaking; I am full of compassion.
“Israel, nga ac filikomla fuka? Nga ac siskomla fuka? Ya nga ku in kunauskomla, oana nga tuh oru nu sel Admah, Ku orekom oana ke nga oru nu sel Zeboim? Insiuk ac tiana lela ngan oru ouinge, Lungse luk nu sum arulana ku na pwaye.
9 I will not execute the fierceness of my anger, I will not destroy Ephraim again. For I am God, not a human being. I am the Holy One living among you. I will not enter your cities.
Nga fah tia kai kom in kasrkusrak luk. Nga fah tia sifil kunausla Israel. Mweyen nga God, ac nga tia mwet. Nga pa El Su Mutal, su wi kom na. Nga fah tia tuku nu yurum in kasrkusrak.
10 The people will follow me, the Lord. He will roar like a lion. When he roars like a lion then his children will come trembling from the west.
“Mwet luk fah fahsr tukuk pacl nga ngutngut oana soko lion nu sin mwet lokoalok lalos. Elos fah sulaklak nu yuruk roto me.
11 Like a flock of frightened birds they will come from Egypt, like doves they will come from Assyria, and I will bring them back home, declares the Lord.
Elos ac tuku Egypt me, mui oana won yen engyeng uh, ac liki acn Assyria me oana wuleoa uh. Nga fah sifilpa usalosme nu in lohm selos. Nga, LEUM GOD, pa fahk ouinge.”
12 Ephraim surrounds me with lies and Israel with deceit, and Judah still wanders with some deity, faithful to some “Holy One.”
LEUM GOD El fahk, “Mwet Israel elos apinyula ke kikiap ac kutasrik, a mwet Judah elos srakna oaru in fahsr tukun God mutal.
