+ Genesis 1 >

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Pathen in Semtilin van le leiset asem tai.
2 The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the surface of the deep. The Spirit of God moved over the surface of the waters.
Leiset chu agong bei le ahomkeu ahin, muthim chun twipi thuhtah chu akhukhum ahin, Hiche twipi chung'a chu Pathen lhagao chu ana lhale ahi.
3 God said, “Let there be light!” and there was light.

4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
Pathen in vah chu aven pha asah e. Chule Pathen in vah chu muthim akon in asep khen tai.
5 God called the light “day,” and he called the darkness “night.” So there was evening, and then the morning, making day one.
Pathen'in vah chu sun asah in muthim chu jan asah tai. Hiche apat chun nilhah le jingkah ahung umdohtan hichu nikho masa pen ahung hitai.
6 God said, “Let there be an expanse in the middle of the waters to divide the waters.”
Hichun Pathenin aseiyin, “Twipi sukhen dingin, vanthamjol hung kidal hen lang Van, twipi le leiset twipi chu alang alang ah sukhen hen,” atin.
7 So God made an expanse to divide the waters that were above from the waters that were below. And that's what happened.
Hiti chun asei bang in aum in, van twipi le leiset twipi chu alang alang ah asukhen tai.”
8 God called the expanse, “sky.” So there was evening, and then the morning, making day two.
Pathen in onghom chu vanthamjol asah in, hichun nilhah le jingkah achedoh kitin ahileh nikho nina ahi tai.
9 God said, “Let the waters below the sky collect together in one place so that the land may appear.” And so it was.
Chule Pathen in aseiye, “Vantham jol'a twi umjouse chu mun khat'a kikhol khom hen lang chule tolgo lai um doh hen,” ati. Asei bang chun aum jeng tai.
10 God called the land “earth” and the waters “seas.” God saw that it was good.
Pathen in tolgo lai chu leiset asah in chule twi jouse kikhol na mun chu twikhanglen asah e. Pathen in aven pha asa lheh jeng in ahi.
11 God said, “Let the earth produce vegetation—plants that produce seeds and trees that produce seeded fruit—each one according to its own kind.” And that's what happened.
Chuin Pathen'in aseiye, “Leiset in hamphung ho, amu nei hamphung, agathei hamhing chi chom chom leh thingphung aga amunei ho, hiche ho chun ama ama chi dungjui cheh ahin sepdoh kit diu ahi,” ati. Hiti chun ahung kehdoh tauve.
12 The earth produced vegetation—plants that produce seeds and trees that produce seeded fruit—each one according to its own kind. God saw that it was good.
Leiset'in hamphung thingphung ama ama chi dung juiyin ahung kehdoh in, agathei amu nei thingphung ama ama chi dungjui yin ahung kehdoh tauvin ahi. Pathen'in aven pha asah lheh jeng in ahi.
13 So there was evening, and then the morning, making day three.
Nilhah khat le jingkah khat achekit in nithum alhing tai.
14 God said, “Let there be lights in the sky to separate day from night, and to provide a way to mark seasons, days, and years.
Chuin Pathen'in aseiye, “Sun le jan sepkhen dingin vanthomjol avah thei vahho hung kigol uhenlang, hiche ho chu kum kihei chin melchihnan jong, nikho simtoh nan jong chule kum simtoh nan jong pang'u hen.

Chujong le hiche ho chu vana vanthamjol akon in leiset salvah-in pang u-hen,’’ atin ahileh, hiti chun aum tai.
16 God created two great lights: the larger one in charge of the day, and the smaller one in charge of the night. He created the stars too.
Hiche achun Pathen in vah alen cheh ni asem in, vah alenjo chu sunlaiya thunei ding in apansah-in, chule vah aneojo chu janlaiya thunei ding in apansah tai; hiti chun ahsi ho jong ahin sem tai.

Pathen in aseiye, “Twija kon in nga ho leh ganhing ahingthei dangho umhen, chuleh vanthamjol ajong vachate ajat kimsoh in hung leng leu hen,’’ati.
21 So God created huge sea creatures and all the living things that swim and fill the waters, each one according to its own kind; and every bird that flies, each one according to its own kind. God saw that it was good.
Hiti chun Pathen in twikhanglen'a ganhing ahing thei jouse ahona kijot le ding in asem in, hiche ho chun twi a kidil sah sah-uvin, ama ama jat cheh in alha uvin ahi, chujong le ajat jat in alhanei vachate jong asem in ahi. Hichu Pathen in aven pha asalheh jeng in ahi.

24 God said, “Let the land produce living creatures, each one according to its own kind—the livestock, the creatures that run along the ground, and the wild animals, each one according to its own kind.” And that's what happened.
Chuin Pathen in aseiye, “Leiset in ama akon in sa jat chom chom hin hingdoh hen! Ama ama jat dungyui cheh in, vah ngui thei gancha, tol'a kithol ganhing, leh gamsa ho jong hihen” ati. Hiti chun aum jeng tai.
25 God made the wild animals, the livestock, and the creatures that run along the ground, all according to their own kind. God saw that it was good.
Chuin leiset chunga gamsa ho ama ama jat cheh in chule gancha ho jong ama ama jat cheh in a-opma kithol ajat jat in asem'e. Pathen in hiche ho chu aven pha asa lheh jeng in ahi.
26 God said, “Let us make human beings in our image who are like us. They will have authority over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, and over the whole of the earth and every creature that moves on it.”
Hichun Pathen in aseiye, “Eihon mihem ho, eiho lim pu'in sem u-hitin. Amaho chun twikhanglen sunga nga ho jouse chunga thunei diu, vanlai jol'a leng le vacha ho chule vah ngui thei gancha ho, le gam sa ho, chule a opa a kithol chengse chung'a thunei vaihom in pang'u hen,” ati.

29 God said, “Look, I'm giving you as your food every seed-bearing plant anywhere on earth, and every tree that produces fruit with seeds.
Pathen in hitin jong seiye, “Ve lhon in keiman leiset chunga muchi gathei phung jouse le thingphung gathei jouse aboncha hi nangni kihinso theina dinga kapeh lhon nahitai.
30 I'm giving all the green plants to all the land animals, to the birds, and to every creature that moves on the earth—to every living thing.” And that's what happened.
Chule leiset chunga um gamsa jouse hihen chunga leng vachate ho hijongle tol'a aop'a kithol ganhing jouse hijongle ahaithei hinna nei jouse aneh ding uva hamhing jouse kapeh doh ahi tai,’’ atile, hitobang chun aum tai.
