Genesis 5
1 This is the record of Adam's descendants. When God created human beings, he made them to be like him.
ആദാമിന്റെ വംശപാരമ്പര്യരേഖ ഇപ്രകാരമാണ്: ദൈവം മനുഷ്യനെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചപ്പോൾ, തന്റെ സാദൃശ്യത്തിലാണ് അവിടന്ന് മനുഷ്യരെ മെനഞ്ഞത്;
2 He created them male and female, and blessed them. On the day he created them he called them “human.”

3 When Adam was 130, he had a son who was like him, made in his image; and he named him Seth.

4 Adam lived another 800 years after Seth was born, and had other sons and daughters.
ശേത്ത് ജനിച്ചതിനുശേഷം ആദാം 800 വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു; അദ്ദേഹത്തിൽനിന്ന് വേറെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും ജനിച്ചു.
5 Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died.
ആദാമിന്റെ ആയുസ്സ് ആകെ 930 വർഷമായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം മരിച്ചു.
6 When Seth was 105, he had Enosh.
ശേത്തിനു 105 വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഏനോശ് ജനിച്ചു.
7 Seth lived another 807 years after Enosh was born, and had other sons and daughters.
ഏനോശിന് ജന്മംനൽകിയതിനുശേഷം ശേത്ത് 807 വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു; അദ്ദേഹത്തിൽനിന്ന് വേറെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും ജനിച്ചു.
8 Seth lived a total of 912 years, and then he died.
ശേത്തിന്റെ ആയുസ്സ് ആകെ 912 വർഷമായിരുന്നു. പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം മരിച്ചു.
9 When Enosh was 90, he had Kenan.
ഏനോശിനു തൊണ്ണൂറു വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് കേനാൻ ജനിച്ചു.
10 Enosh lived another 815 years after Kenan was born, and had other sons and daughters.
കേനാന് ജന്മംനൽകിയതിനുശേഷം ഏനോശ് 815 വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു; അദ്ദേഹത്തിൽനിന്ന് വേറെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും ജനിച്ചു.
11 Enosh lived a total of 905 years, and then he died.
ഏനോശിന്റെ ആയുസ്സ് 905 വർഷമായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം മരിച്ചു.
12 When Kenan was 70, he had Mehalalel.
കേനാന് എഴുപതു വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് മഹലലേൽ ജനിച്ചു.
13 Kenan lived another 840 years after Mehalalel was born, and had other sons and daughters.
മഹലലേലിന് ജന്മംനൽകിയതിനുശേഷം കേനാൻ 840 വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു; അദ്ദേഹത്തിൽനിന്ന് വേറെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും ജനിച്ചു.
14 Kenan lived a total of 910 years, and then he died.
കേനാന്റെ ആയുസ്സ് 910 വർഷമായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം മരിച്ചു.
15 When Mahalalel was 65, he had Jared.
മഹലലേലിന് അറുപത്തഞ്ച് വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് യാരെദ് ജനിച്ചു.
16 After Jared was born, Mahalalel lived another 830 years and had other sons and daughters.
യാരെദിന് ജന്മംനൽകിയതിനുശേഷം മഹലലേൽ 830 വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു; അദ്ദേഹത്തിൽനിന്ന് വേറെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും ജനിച്ചു.
17 Mahalalel lived a total of 895 years, and then he died.
മഹലലേലിന്റെ ആയുസ്സ് 895 വർഷമായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം മരിച്ചു.
18 When Jared was 162, he had Enoch.
യാരെദിനു 162 വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഹാനോക്ക് ജനിച്ചു.
19 After Enoch was born, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters.
ഹാനോക്കിന് ജന്മംനൽകിയതിനുശേഷം യാരെദ് 800 വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു; അദ്ദേഹത്തിൽനിന്ന് വേറെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും ജനിച്ചു.
20 Jared lived a total of 962 years, and then he died.
യാരെദിന്റെ ആയുസ്സ് ആകെ 962 വർഷമായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം മരിച്ചു.
21 When Enoch was 65, he had Methuselah.
ഹാനോക്കിന് അറുപത്തഞ്ച് വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് മെഥൂശെലാഹ് ജനിച്ചു.
22 He had a close relationship with God. After Methuselah was born, Enoch lived another 300 years and had other sons and daughters.
മെഥൂശെലാഹിന് ജന്മംനൽകിയതിനുശേഷം ഹാനോക്ക് 300 വർഷം ദൈവമുമ്പാകെ വിശ്വസ്തനായി ജീവിച്ചു. ഈ സമയം അദ്ദേഹത്തിൽനിന്ന് വേറെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും ജനിച്ചു.
23 Enoch lived a total of 365 years.
ഹാനോക്കിന്റെ ആയുസ്സ് 365 വർഷമായിരുന്നു.
24 Enoch had such a close relationship with God that he didn't die, he just wasn't there anymore, because God took him.
ഹാനോക്ക് ദൈവമുമ്പാകെ വിശ്വസ്തനായി ജീവിച്ചു; ഒരു ദിവസം ദൈവം അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തന്റെ അടുത്തേക്കെടുത്തതിനാൽ കാണാതെയായി.
25 When Methuselah was 187, he had Lamech.
മെഥൂശെലാഹിനു 187 വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ലാമെക്ക് ജനിച്ചു.
26 After Lamech was born, Methuselah lived another 782 years and had other sons and daughters.
ലാമെക്കിന് ജന്മംനൽകിയതിനുശേഷം മെഥൂശെലാഹ് 782 വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു; അദ്ദേഹത്തിൽനിന്ന് വേറെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും ജനിച്ചു.
27 Methuselah lived a total of 969 years, and then he died.
മെഥൂശെലാഹിന്റെ ആയുസ്സ് ആകെ 969 വർഷമായിരുന്നു, പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം മരിച്ചു.
28 When Lamech was 182, he had a son.
ലാമെക്കിനു 182 വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഒരു മകൻ ജനിച്ചു.
29 He named him Noah, with the explanation, “He will provide relief for us from all the hard manual labor we need to do in cultivating the ground the Lord has cursed.”
“യഹോവ ശപിച്ച ഭൂമിയിൽ നമുക്കു നേരിട്ട കഠിനപ്രയത്നത്തിലും നമ്മുടെ കൈകളുടെ ക്ലേശകരമായ അധ്വാനത്തിലും ഇവൻ നമ്മെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് ലാമെക്ക് തന്റെ മകനു നോഹ എന്ന് പേരിട്ടു.
30 After Noah was born, Lamech lived another 595 years and had other sons and daughters.
നോഹയ്ക്ക് ജന്മംനൽകിയതിനുശേഷം ലാമെക്ക് 595 വർഷം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നു; അദ്ദേഹത്തിൽനിന്ന് വേറെ പുത്രന്മാരും പുത്രിമാരും ജനിച്ചു.
31 Lamech lived a total of 777 years, and then he died.
ലാമെക്കിന്റെ ആയുസ്സ് 777 വർഷമായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം മരിച്ചു.
32 Noah was 500 before he had Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
നോഹയ്ക്കു 500 വയസ്സായതിനുശേഷം, ശേം, ഹാം, യാഫെത്ത് എന്നീ പുത്രന്മാർ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ജനിച്ചു.
