< Genesis 46 >
1 So Israel left for Egypt with everything he had. When he arrived at Beersheba he offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.

2 During the night God spoke to Israel in a vision. “Jacob! Jacob!” he called. “I'm here,” he replied.
Ọlọ́run sì bá Israẹli sọ̀rọ̀ ní ojú ìran ní òru pé, “Jakọbu! Jakọbu!” Ó sì dáhùn pé, “Èmi nìyí.”
3 “I am God, the God of your father! Don't be afraid to go to Egypt, because I will turn you and your descendants into a great nation.
Ọlọ́run sì wí pé, “Èmi ni Ọlọ́run, Ọlọ́run baba rẹ, má ṣe bẹ̀rù láti sọ̀kalẹ̀ lọ sí ilẹ̀ Ejibiti nítorí, èmi yóò sọ ọ́ di orílẹ̀-èdè ńlá níbẹ̀.
4 I will go to Egypt with you, and I promise to bring you back again. And Joseph will personally close your eyes when you die.”
Èmi yóò sì sọ̀kalẹ̀ pẹ̀lú rẹ lọ sí Ejibiti, èmi yóò sì tún mú ọ padà wá. Ọwọ́ Josẹfu fúnra rẹ̀ ni ìwọ yóò sì kú sí.”
5 Then Jacob left Beersheba. His sons took him, their children, and their wives to Egypt using the wagons Pharaoh had sent.

6 They also took with them all their livestock and all the personal belongings they had accumulated in the country of Canaan. So Jacob and everyone in his extended family went to Egypt,

7 including all his sons and grandsons, daughters and granddaughters.

8 The following is the genealogy of Israel and his sons who went to Egypt: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn.
Èyí ni orúkọ àwọn ọmọ Israẹli (Jakọbu àti ìran rẹ̀) tí ó sọ̀kalẹ̀ lọ Ejibiti: Reubeni àkọ́bí Jakọbu.
9 The sons of Reuben: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi.
Àwọn ọmọkùnrin Reubeni: Hanoku, Pallu, Hesroni àti Karmi.
10 The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul the son of a woman from Canaan.
Àwọn ọmọkùnrin Simeoni: Jemueli, Jamini, Ohadi, Jakini, Sohari àti Saulu, tí ìyá rẹ̀ jẹ́ ọmọbìnrin ará Kenaani.
11 The sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
Àwọn ọmọkùnrin Lefi: Gerṣoni, Kohati àti Merari.
12 The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah. However, Er and Onan died in Canaan. The sons of Perez: Hezron and Hamul.

13 The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puvah, Job, and Shimron.

14 The sons of Zebulun: Sered, Elon, and Jahleel.

15 These are the sons Leah had for Jacob in Paddan-aram, as well as his daughter Dinah. The total number of sons and daughters and grandchildren was thirty-three.

16 The sons of Gad: Ziphion, Haggi, Shuni, Ezbon, Eri, Arodi, and Areli.

17 The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and their sister Serah. The sons of Beriah: Heber and Malchiel.

18 These are the sons of Jacob Zilpah had, the servant given by Laban to his daughter Leah, a total of sixteen children and grandchildren.
Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ tí Jakọbu bí nípasẹ̀ Silipa, ẹni tí Labani fi fún Lea ọmọbìnrin rẹ̀. Gbogbo wọn jẹ́ mẹ́rìndínlógún lápapọ̀.
19 The sons of Jacob's wife Rachel: Joseph and Benjamin.
Àwọn ọmọkùnrin Rakeli aya Jakọbu: Josẹfu àti Benjamini.
20 The sons Joseph had in the land of Egypt by Asenath, daughter of Potiphera, priest of On: Manasseh and Ephraim.

21 The sons of Benjamin: Bela, Becher, Ashbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Rosh, Muppim, Huppim, and Ard.

22 These are the sons that Rachel had for Jacob, a total of fourteen children and grandchildren.

23 The son of Dan: Hushim.

24 The sons of Naphtali: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem.
Àwọn ọmọ Naftali: Jasieli, Guni, Jeseri, àti Ṣillemu.
25 These are the sons of Jacob that Bilhah had, the servant given by Laban to his daughter Rachel, a total of seven children and grandchildren.
Wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ọmọ tí Biliha ẹni tí Labani fi fún Rakeli ọmọ rẹ̀ bí fún Jakọbu. Wọ́n jẹ́ méje lápapọ̀.
26 All those who were part of Jacob's family who came to Egypt (his blood relatives, apart from wives of Jacob's sons) totaled sixty-six.
Gbogbo àwọn tí ó lọ pẹ̀lú Jakọbu sí Ejibiti, àwọn tí ó jẹ́ ìran rẹ̀ tààrà láìka àwọn aya ọmọ rẹ̀, jẹ́ ènìyàn mẹ́rìndínláàádọ́rin.
27 Including the two sons Joseph had in Egypt, the total number of Jacob's family who were in Egypt was seventy.
Pẹ̀lú àwọn ọmọkùnrin méjì tí a bí fún Josẹfu ní Ejibiti àwọn ará ilé Jakọbu tí ó lọ sí Ejibiti jẹ́ àádọ́rin lápapọ̀.
28 Jacob sent Judah on ahead to meet Joseph and find out the way to Goshen. When they arrived in Goshen,
Jakọbu sì rán Juda ṣáájú rẹ̀ lọ sọ́dọ̀ Josẹfu, kí wọn bá à le mọ ọ̀nà Goṣeni. Nígbà tí wọ́n dé agbègbè Goṣeni,
29 Joseph ordered his chariot made ready and went to meet his father Israel there. As soon as he arrived, he hugged his father and wept for a long time.
Josẹfu tọ́jú kẹ̀kẹ́-ẹṣin rẹ̀ ó sì lọ sí Goṣeni láti pàdé Israẹli baba rẹ̀. Bí Josẹfu ti dé iwájú baba rẹ̀, ó dì mọ́ baba rẹ̀ ó sì sọkún fún ìgbà pípẹ́.
30 “Now I can die in peace because I have seen your face again and know you're still alive,” Israel told Joseph.

31 Joseph told his brothers and his father's household, “I'm going to go and report to Pharaoh and tell him, ‘My brothers and my father's household have arrived from the country of Canaan to join me.

32 They are shepherds and keep livestock. They have brought with them their flocks and herds and all their possessions.’

33 When Pharaoh calls for you and asks you, ‘What work do you do?’
Nígbà tí Farao bá pè yín wọlé tí ó sí béèrè irú iṣẹ́ tí ẹ ń ṣe,
34 tell him, ‘Your servants have looked after livestock since we were children, both us and our fathers before us.’ That way you'll be able to live here in Goshen, because Egyptians look down on shepherds.”
ẹ fún un lésì pé, ‘Àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ ń tọ́jú ẹran ọ̀sìn ni láti ìgbà èwe wa wá gẹ́gẹ́ bí a ṣe ba a lọ́wọ́ àwọn baba wa.’ Nígbà náà ni wọn yóò fún un yín láààyè láti tẹ̀dó sí ilẹ̀ Goṣeni, nítorí pé àwọn ará Ejibiti kórìíra ẹnikẹ́ni tí ó bá jẹ́ darandaran.”
