Genesis 42
1 When Jacob found out grain was available in Egypt, he asked his sons, “Why do you keep on looking at each other to do something?
೧ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ದವಸಧಾನ್ಯವುಂಟೆಂದು ಯಾಕೋಬನು ತಿಳಿದಾಗ ತನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ನೋಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದೇಕೆ?”
2 I've heard there's grain in Egypt. Go there and buy some for us so we can stay alive—if not, we're going to die!”
೨“ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ದವಸಧಾನ್ಯ ಉಂಟೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಾವು ಸಾಯದೆ ಬದುಕುವಂತೆ ನೀವು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬೇಕಾದ ದವಸವನ್ನು ಖರೀದಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬನ್ನಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
3 So ten of Joseph's brothers went to Egypt to buy grain.
೩ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಹತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಅಣ್ಣಂದಿರು ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಖರೀದಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತರುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು.
4 But Jacob did not send Joseph's brother Benjamin with his other brothers, for he said, “I'm afraid something bad might happen to him.”
೪ಆದರೆ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಯೋಸೇಫನ ತಮ್ಮನಾದ ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನನಿಗೆ “ಕೇಡು ಉಂಟಾದೀತೆಂದು” ಹೇಳಿ ಅಣ್ಣಂದಿರ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
5 So Israel's sons went to buy grain along with everyone else, because there was famine in Canaan too.
೫ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಇದ್ದರು, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಬರವಿತ್ತು.
6 Joseph was the governor of the country and he sold grain to all the people there. So Joseph's brothers went to him, and bowed low before him with their faces to the ground.
೬ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ನಡಿಸಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾರುವವನು ಯೋಸೇಫನೇ ಆಗಿದ್ದನು. ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವನ ಅಣ್ಣಂದಿರು ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದರು.
7 Joseph recognized them as soon as he saw them, but he acted like a stranger towards them and spoke to them in a severe way, saying, “Where are you from?” “From the country of Canaan,” they replied. “We've come to buy food.”
೭ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ ಅವರ ಗುರುತು ಹಿಡಿದು ತನ್ನ ಅಣ್ಣಂದಿರೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದರೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅನ್ಯನಂತೆ ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಕಠಿಣ ನುಡಿಯಿಂದ, “ನೀವು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂದವರು” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅವರು, “ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೊಸ್ಕರ ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ” ಎಂದರು.
8 Even though Joseph recognized his brothers, they didn't recognize him.
೮ಅಣ್ಣಂದಿರ ಗುರುತು ಯೋಸೇಫನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವನ ಗುರುತು ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
9 Joseph thought back to the dreams he'd had about them, and told them, “No! You're spies! You've come to discover our country's weaknesses!”
೯ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಅವರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತನಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಕನಸುಗಳನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ತಂದುಕೊಂಡನು. ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅವನು, “ನೀವು ಗೂಢಚಾರರು. ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಭದ್ರತೆಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದವರು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
10 “That's not true, my lord!” they responded. “We, your servants, have just come to buy food.
೧೦ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು, “ಇಲ್ಲ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ನಾವು ಆಹಾರ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
11 We're all the sons of one man and we're honest. We're not spies!”
೧೧ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ತಂದೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು. ನಾವು ಸತ್ಯವಂತರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಹೊರತು ಗೂಢಚಾರರಲ್ಲ” ಅಂದರು.
12 “No! You've come to find our country's weaknesses!” he insisted.
೧೨ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಇಲ್ಲ, ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಭದ್ರತೆಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ್ದಿದೀರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
13 “Your servants are twelve brothers, the sons of one man living in the country of Canaan,” they explained. “The youngest is right now with our father, and one has passed away.”
೧೩ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು, “ತಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ನಾವು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರು, ನಾವು ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದವರು, ಒಬ್ಬ ತಂದೆಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳು. ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕವನು ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಇಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದರು.
14 “As I said before, you're spies!” Joseph declared.
೧೪ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ ನೀವು ಗೂಢಚಾರರೇ.
15 “This is how your story will be checked. I swear on Pharaoh's life that you'll never leave this country unless your younger brother comes here.
೧೫ನೀವು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವುದು ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ತಮ್ಮನು ಬರಬೇಕು. ಅವನು ಬಂದ ಹೊರತು ಫರೋಹನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ ನೀವು ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗಬಾರದು.
16 One of you go back and bring your other brother here. The others of you will be kept here in prison until it's clear that you're telling the truth. If not, then I swear on Pharaoh's life it proves you're spies!”
೧೬ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿರಿ. ಅವನು ಬರುವವರೆಗೂ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ನೀವು ಸತ್ಯವಂತರೋ ಅಲ್ಲವೋ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮನು ಬಾರದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ಫರೋಹನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ ನೀವು ಗೂಢಚಾರರೇ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
17 So Joseph put all of them in prison for three days.
೧೭ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಅವನು, ಮೂರು ದಿನ ಕಾವಲಿನಲ್ಲಿರಿಸಿದನು.
18 On the third day he told them, “Since I'm someone who respects God, do as I tell you and you'll live.
೧೮ಮೂರನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡುವವನು. ನೀವು ಸತ್ಯವಂತರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಒಂದು ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಬದುಕಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
19 If you're truly honest, choose one of your brothers to stay here in prison. The rest of you can go back home with grain for your hungry families.
೧೯ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಸೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿರಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಮಿಕ್ಕವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿರಿ.
20 But you must bring your youngest brother here to me to prove what you're saying is true. If not, you will all die.” They agreed to do this.
೨೦ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರಬೇಕು. ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಸತ್ಯವೆಂದು ನಾನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಸಾಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದನು. ಅವರು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಲು ಒಪ್ಪಿದರು.
21 “Clearly we're being punished for what we did to our brother,” they said to each other. “We watched him in agony pleading with us for mercy, but we refused to listen to him. That's why we're in all this trouble.”
೨೧ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, “ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಅಪರಾಧವೇ ಸರಿ. ಅವನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ನಾವು ಅವನ ಪ್ರಾಣಸಂಕಟವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದರೂ ಅವನ ಮೊರೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದಲೇ ಈ ಸಂಕಟವು ನಮಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
22 Reuben said to them, “Didn't I tell you, ‘Don't harm the boy!’ But you didn't listen to me. Now we're paying the price for what we did to him.”
೨೨ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ರೂಬೇನನು, “ಆ ಹುಡುಗನಿಗೆ ಏನೂ ಕೇಡು ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಹೇಳಿದೆನಲ್ಲವೆ. ನೀವು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನಿಗಾದ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಹಾನಿಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಈಗ ಉತ್ತರ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿದೆ” ಎಂದನು.
23 They didn't realize that Joseph understood what they were saying because they were talking to him through an interpreter.
೨೩ಯೋಸೇಫನು ದ್ವಿಭಾಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಬಲ್ಲ ಅನುವಾದಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾತು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುತ್ತದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
24 Joseph stepped away from them because he started crying. He came back when he was able to speak to them again. He chose Simeon and had him tied up as they watched.
೨೪ಯೋಸೇಫನಾದರೋ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗಿ ಅತ್ತನು. ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಅವರೊಳಗೆ ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿಗೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬೇಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಸಿದನು.
25 Joseph gave the order to fill up their sacks with grain, and also to return the money they had paid by placing it in the sacks as well. He also ordered that they should be provided with food for their journey home. All this was done.
೨೫ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ಆಳುಗಳಿಗೆ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಚೀಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಸಿ ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬನ ಚೀಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರವರು ತಂದಿದ್ದ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಅವರ ಚೀಲಗಳಲ್ಲೇ ಇಟ್ಟು ಅವರ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಅವರು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
26 The brothers loaded the grain onto their donkeys and then set off.
೨೬ಇವರು ತಾವು ಕೊಂಡ ಧಾನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕತ್ತೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೇರಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು.
27 On their way they stopped for the night, and one of them opened up his sack to give his donkey something to eat and saw his money there at the top of the sack.
೨೭ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಒಂದು ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಕತ್ತೆಗೆ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ತನ್ನ ಚೀಲವನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿದಾಗ ಅದರ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನು ತಂದಿದ್ದ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಕಂಡನು.
28 He told his brothers, “My money's been returned to me. It's right here at the top of my sack!” They were horrified! Trembling with fear they asked each other, “What is this that God's done to us?”
೨೮ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಹಣವು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಇಗೋ, ಅದು ನನ್ನ ಚೀಲದಲ್ಲಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು ಅವರು ಧೈರ್ಯಗೆಟ್ಟು ನಡುಗುತ್ತಾ ಒಬ್ಬರನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ನೋಡಿ, “ದೇವರು ನಮಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನು?” ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡರು.
29 When they arrived home in Canaan, they told their father Jacob everything that had happened.
೨೯ಅವರು ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ನಡೆದ ಎಲ್ಲ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
30 “The man who is the country's governor spoke to us in a severe way, and accused us of spying on the land,” they explained.
೩೦ಆ ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಕಟುವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಗೂಢಚಾರರೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಿದನು.
31 “We told him, ‘We are honest men. We're not spies!
೩೧ನಾವು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಾವು ಸತ್ಯವಂತರೇ ಹೊರತು ಗೂಢಚಾರರಲ್ಲ.
32 We are twelve brothers, the sons of one father. One has passed away and the youngest is right now with our father in the country of Canaan.’
೩೨ನಾವು ಒಬ್ಬ ತಂದೆಯಿಂದಲೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಿಲ್ಲ. ಚಿಕ್ಕವನು ಈಗ ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದಾನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದೆವು.
33 Then the man who is the country's governor said to us, ‘This is how I'll find out if you're telling the truth: you are to leave one of your brothers here with me while the rest take grain home for your hungry families.
೩೩ಅದಕ್ಕೆ “ದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿ, ನೀವು ಸತ್ಯವಂತರೋ ಅಲ್ಲವೋ ಎಂಬುದು ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯವರ ಕ್ಷಾಮ ನಿವಾರಣೆಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ,
34 Then bring your youngest brother to me. That way I'll know you're not spies but you're telling the truth. I'll release your brother to you, and you can stay in the country and trade.’”
೩೪ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರಬೇಕು, ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರೆ ನೀವು ಗೂಢಚಾರರಲ್ಲ ಸತ್ಯವಂತರೇ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಣ್ಣನನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಮತ್ತು ನೀವು ಈ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ಮಾಡಬಹುದು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು ಎಂದರು.
35 As they emptied their sacks, each one's money bag was there in his sack! When they and their father saw the money bags, they were horrified.
೩೫ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಚೀಲಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನ ಚೀಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವರವರ ಹಣದ ಗಂಟು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು. ಅವರು, ಅವರ ತಂದೆಯೂ ಹಣದ ಗಂಟುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡಾಗ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
36 Jacob their father accused them, “You have taken Joseph from me—he's gone! Simeon is gone too! Now you want to take Benjamin away! I'm the one who's suffering from all of this!”
೩೬ಆಗ ಅವರ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬನು, “ಅವರಿಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದವನಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಇಲ್ಲ, ಸಿಮೆಯೋನನು ಇಲ್ಲ. ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನನ್ನೂ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಈ ಕಷ್ಟವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಬಂದಿತಲ್ಲಾ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
37 “You can kill my two sons if I don't bring him back to you,” Reuben assured him. “Trust me with him, and I will bring him home to you myself.”
೩೭ರೂಬೇನನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ, “ನಾನು ಈ ಹುಡುಗನನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ತಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಗಂಡುಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಬಹುದು. ಇವನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ನಾನು ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಇವನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
38 “My son won't go there with you!” Jacob declared. “His brother is dead, and he's the only one I have left. If anything bad happens to him on the journey you're planning, you'll send this old man to his grave in grief.” (Sheol h7585)
೩೮ಆದರೆ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಮಗನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋಗಬಾರದು. ಇವನ ಒಡಹುಟ್ಟಿದವನು ಸತ್ತು ಹೋದನು. ಇವನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಇವನಿಗೇನಾದರೂ ಕೇಡಾದರೆ ಈ ಮುದಿ ತಲೆ ದುಃಖದಿಂದಲೇ ಸಮಾಧಿಗೆ ಸೇರಲು ನೀವು ಕಾರಣರಾಗುವಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. (Sheol h7585)
