< Genesis 28 >
1 Isaac called for Jacob and blessed him. “Don't marry a Canaanite woman,” he ordered him.
Isxaaqna wuxuu u yeedhay Yacquub, wuuna u duceeyey, oo wuxuu ku amray, oo ku yidhi, Waa inaadan naag ka guursan gabdhaha reer Kancaan.
2 “Leave right away and go to Paddan-aram, to the home of Bethuel, your mother's father. Find yourself a wife there—a daughter of Laban, your mother's brother.
Kac oo xagga Fadan Araam tag, iyo xagga gurigii Betuu'el oo ah hooyadaa aabbeheed; oo halkaas naag ka guurso gabdhaha Laabaan oo ah hooyadaa walaalkeed.
3 God Almighty bless you and may your descendants be so numerous that you become the ancestor of many nations.
Oo Ilaaha Qaadirka ahu ha ku barakeeyo, oo ha ku badiyo, oo ha ku tarmiyo, inaad noqotid dad faro badan,
4 May he grant you and your descendants the same blessing he gave to Abraham, so that you may take over the land where you now live as a foreigner, the land God gave to Abraham.”
oo ha ku siiyo barakadii Ibraahim, adiga iyo farcankaaga kula joogaba, inaad dhaxashid dalka aad qariibka ku tahay, oo Ilaah Ibraahim siiyey.
5 So Isaac sent Jacob on his way. He traveled to Paddan-aram, to Laban, son of Bethuel the Aramean. Laban was the brother of Rebekah, the mother of Jacob and Esau.
Isxaaqna Yacquub wuu diray: oo wuxuu u kacay Fadan Araam xagga Laabaan, ina Betuu'el kii reer Suuriya, oo ahaa Rebeqah walaalkeed tii ahayd Yacquub iyo Ceesaw hooyadood.
6 Esau found out that Isaac had blessed Jacob and had sent him to Paddan-aram to find a wife there, and that when he blessed him he ordered him, “Don't marry a Canaanite woman.”
Ceesawna wuxuu arkay in Isxaaq u duceeyey Yacquub oo u diray Fadan Araam, inuu halkaas naag ka guursado, iyo inuu markuu u duceeyey amray, oo ku yidhi, Waa inaadan naag ka guursan gabdhaha reer Kancaan;
7 He also discovered that Jacob had done what his father and mother told him and had left for Paddan-aram.
iyo in Yacquub addeecay aabbihiis iyo hooyadiis, oo uu u kacay xagga Fadan Araam.
8 This made Esau realize how much his father disliked Canaanite women.
Oo Ceesaw wuxuu arkay inaanay gabdhaha reer Kancaan ka farxin aabbihiis Isxaaq.
9 So he went to Ishmael's family and married an additional wife—Mahalath, the daughter of Ishmael, Abraham's son, the sister of Nebaioth.
Markaasuu Ceesaw wuxuu u kacay xagga Ismaaciil, oo wuxuu naagihii uu qabay ku daray Mahalad gabadhii Ismaaciil ina Ibraahim, taas oo ahayd Nebayod walaashiis, si ay naagtiisii u noqoto.
10 In the meantime Jacob had set off from Beersheba on his way to Haran.
Yacquubna waa ka tegey Bi'ir Shebac, oo wuxuu u kacay xagga Haaraan.
11 He arrived after sunset at a particular place and stopped there for the night. He picked up a stone, put it under his head, lay down and went to sleep.
Oo meel buu gaadhay oo halkaasuu habeenkii oo dhan joogay, maxaa yeelay, qorraxdu way dhacday, markaasuu qaaday mid ka mid ah dhagxantii meeshaas, oo barkaday, halkaasuuna jiifsaday si uu u seexdo.
12 He dreamed he saw a stairway that started on earth, and the top reached all the way into heaven. He saw God's angels going up and down on it.
Wuuna riyooday, oo riyadiisii wuxuu ku arkay sallaan dhulka qotoma oo caaraddiisiina samada gaadhay, wuxuuna arkay malaa'igihii Ilaah oo ku koraya, kuna soo degaya.
13 Then he saw the Lord standing over him, who said, “I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham, and the God of Isaac. I'm giving you and your descendants the land you're lying on.
Oo bal eeg, Rabbigaa isdul taagay, oo yidhi, Waxaan ahay Rabbiga ah Ilaaha awowgaa Ibraahim, iyo Ilaaha Isxaaq. Dhulka aad ku jiifto, waxaan siin doonaa adiga iyo farcankaaga.
14 Your descendants will be as numerous as the dust of the earth, and will spread out west and east, and north and south. Everyone on earth will be blessed by your descendants.
Farcankaaguna wuxuu noqon doonaa sida ciidda dhulka, oo waxaad ku firdhi doontaan tan iyo galbeed, iyo bari, iyo tan iyo woqooyi, iyo koonfur: oo adiga iyo farcankaagay qabiilooyinka dhulka oo dhammu ku barakoobi doonaan.
15 Listen! I am with you and will take care of you wherever you go. I will bring you back to this country. I won't leave you because I'm going to do what I've promised you.”
Oo bal eeg, waan kula jiraa, meel alla meeshii aad tagtidna waan kugu dhawri doonaa, dalkanna mar kalaan kugu soo celin doonaa; waayo, anigu kaa tegi maayo ilaa aan sameeyo wixii aan kugula hadlay.
16 When Jacob woke up he said to himself, “The Lord is right here, in this place, and I didn't realize it!”
Markaasuu Yacquub ka toosay hurdadiisii, oo wuxuu yidhi, Hubaal Rabbigaa halkan jooga, mana aan ogayn.
17 He became frightened and said, “This is a scary place! It must be the house of God and the entrance to heaven.”
Wuuna cabsaday, oo wuxuu yidhi, Meeshanu cabsi badanaa! Tanu meel kale ma aha, gurigii Ilaah mooyaane, tanuna waa iriddii samada.
18 When Jacob got up in the morning he took the stone he'd put under his head and set it upright as a stone pillar and poured some olive oil on it.
Yacquubna aroor horuu kacay, oo wuxuu qaaday dhagaxii uu barkaday, oo sidii tiir buu u qotomiyey, kolkaasuu saliid ku dul shubay.
19 He named the place “Bethel,” (previously it was called Luz).
Meeshaas magaceediina wuxuu u bixiyey Beytel: laakiinse markii hore magaalada magaceedu wuxuu ahaa Luus.
20 Jacob also made a solemn promise, saying, “God, if you will be with me, and take care of me on my journey, and give me food to eat and clothes to wear
Yacquubna nidar buu nidray, oo wuxuu yidhi, Haddii Ilaah ila jiro, oo uu jidkan aan socdo igu dhawro, oo uu i siiyo wax aan cuno, iyo dhar aan xidho,
21 so I can return safely to my father's home, then you Lord will be my God.
oo aan aniga oo nabad qaba ku soo noqdo gurigii aabbahay, markaas Rabbigu wuxuu ii noqon doonaa Ilaah,
22 This stone pillar that I've set up will be the house of God, and I will give you one tenth of all you give me.”
oo dhagaxan aan sidii tiir u qotomiyey, wuxuu noqon doonaa guriga Ilaah: oo wax alla wixii aad i siisidna hubaal meel tobnaadka adigaan ku siin doonaa.
