< Genesis 15 >
1 After all this had happened, God spoke to Abram in a vision, telling him, “Don't be afraid, Abram! I am your protector, and your truly great reward!”
Sima na makambo oyo, Yawe alobaki na Abrami na nzela ya emoniseli: — Kobanga te, Abrami! Nazali nguba na yo, lifuti na yo ekozala monene.
2 But Abram replied, “Lord God, what good is whatever you give me? I don't have any children, and the heir to all that I have is Eliezer of Damascus.”
Kasi Abrami azongisaki: — Oh Nkolo Yawe, okopesa ngai nini? Nazali na mwana te, mpe ezali Eliezeri ya Damasi nde akokitana na libula na ngai.
3 Abram went on to complain, “Look! You haven't given me any children, so a servant from my household has to be my heir!”
Abrami alobaki lisusu: — Opesi ngai mwana te; yango wana mosali moko kati na ndako na ngai akozala mokitani ya libula na ngai!
4 But then the Lord told him, “This man won't be your heir. Your heir will be your very own son.”
Yawe alobaki na ye: — Moto wana akozala mokitani ya libula na yo te. Kasi mwana oyo akobima na mokongo na yo nde akozala mokitani ya libula na yo.
5 The Lord took Abram outside and said to him, “Look up at the sky. See if you can count the stars! That's how many descendants you will have!”
Yawe amemaki Abrami na libanda mpe alobaki na ye: — Tala na likolo mpe tanga minzoto soki okokoka kotanga yango. Alobaki na ye lisusu: — Ezali boye nde bakitani na yo bakozala.
6 Abram trusted what the Lord said, and so the Lord counted Abram as being in a right relationship with him.
Abrami azalaki na kondima epai ya Yawe, yango wana Yawe atangaki ye lokola moto ya sembo.
7 The Lord also told him, “I am the Lord, who led you from Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land for you to own.”
Alobaki na ye lisusu: — Nazali Yawe oyo nabimisaki yo wuta na Uri, mokili ya bato ya Chalide, mpo na kopesa yo mokili oyo.
8 “But Lord God, how can I be certain that I will own it?” Abram asked.
Kasi Abrami alobaki: — Ah Nkolo Yawe, nakoyeba ndenge nini ete mokili oyo epesameli ngai?
9 The Lord told him, “Bring me a cow, a goat, and a ram, all of them three years old, together with a dove and a young pigeon.”
Yawe alobaki na ye: — Memela Ngai mwana ngombe moko ya mwasi ya mibu misato, ntaba ya mwasi ya mibu misato, meme ya mobali ya mibu misato, ebenga moko ya zamba mpe ebenga moko ya mboka.
10 So Abram took and killed the three animals. Then he cut them in half, and placed each half opposite the other. However, he didn't cut the birds in half.
Abrami amemelaki Ye banyama oyo nyonso, akataki yango na biteni mibale mpe atiaki yango etalana eteni moko na eteni mosusu; kasi akataki bandeke te.
11 When vultures flew down on the carcasses, Abram frightened them off.
Bandeke oyo eliaka misuni ekitaki mpo na kolia misuni yango, kasi Abrami abenganaki yango.
12 As the sun went down, a deep sleep came over Abram, and at the same time a dense and terrifying darkness fell on him.
Tango moyi ekitaki, Abrami alalaki pongi makasi. Na kati ya molili makasi, somo ekangaki ye.
13 The Lord explained to Abram, “You can be absolutely sure that your descendants will be strangers in a foreign land, where they will be slaves and mistreated for 400 years.
Boye, Yawe alobaki na Abrami: — Yeba solo ete bakitani na yo bakozala bapaya kati na mokili ya bapaya epai wapi bakozala bawumbu; mpe bakonyokola bango kuna mibu nkama minei.
14 However, I will punish the nation that makes them slaves, and later on they will leave, taking many valuable possessions with them.
Kasi nakopesa etumbu na ekolo oyo ekokomisa bango bawumbu; mpe na sima, bakobima longwa na mokili yango elongo na bozwi ebele.
15 But as for you, you will die in peace and be buried, having lived a good long life.
Bongo yo, okokufa na kimia mpe okokundama sima na kimobange ya esengo.
16 Four generations later your descendants will come back here to live, because right now the sins of the Amorites have not reached their full extent.”
Na molongo ya minei, bakitani na yo bakozonga awa, pamba te masumu ya bato ya Amori ekomi nanu ebele te.
17 After the sun set and it grew dark, suddenly a smoking furnace and a flaming torch appeared and passed between the halves of the animal carcasses.
Tango moyi elalaki mpe molili eyaki makasi, mbabola ya milinga mpe koni ya moto elekaki kati ya biteni ya banyama.
18 This is how the Lord made an agreement with Abram that day and promised him, “I'm giving this land to your descendants. It extends from the Wadi of Egypt to the great Euphrates River,
Na mokolo yango, Yawe asalaki boyokani elongo na Abrami mpe alobaki: « Nakopesa mokili oyo na bakitani na yo wuta na moluka ya Ejipito kino na ebale Efrate:
19 and includes the territory of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites,
mokili ya bato ya Keni, ya bato ya Kenizi, ya bato ya Kadimoni,
20 Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites,
ya bato ya Iti, ya bato ya Perizi, ya bato ya Refayimi,
21 Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites, and Jebusites.”
