Genesis 10
1 The following are the genealogies of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. They had sons born to them after the flood.
यिनीहरू नोआका सन्तानहरू थिए, अर्थात्, शेम, हाम, र येपेत । जलप्रलयपछि तिनीहरूका छोराहरू जन्मे ।
2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
गोमेर, मागोग, मादे, यावान, तूबल, मेशेक र तीरास येपेतका छोराहरू थिए ।
3 The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.
अशकनज, रीपत र तोगर्मा गोमेरका छोराहरू थिए ।
4 The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
एलीशाह, तर्शीश, कित्तीम र रोदानीम यावानका छोराहरू थिए ।
5 The descendants of these ancestors spread throughout the coastal areas, each group having their own language, with their families developing into different nations.
यिनीहरूबाट नै समुद्रतटवासी छुट्टिए र तिनीहरू आफ्नो जातिअनुरूप आ-आफ्नो भाषाअनुसार तिनीहरूको भूमितिर गए ।
6 The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
कूश, मिश्रइम, पूत र कनान हामका छोराहरू थिए ।
7 The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
सेबा, हवीला, सब्ता, रामाह र सब्तका कूशका छोराहरू थिए । शेबा र ददान रामाहका छोराहरू थिए ।
8 Cush was also the father of Nimrod, who set himself up as the first tyrant on earth.
कूश निम्रोदका पिता बने, जो पृथ्वीमाथिका पहिलो विजेता थिए ।
9 He was a powerful fighter who defied the Lord; which is why there's the expression, “Like Nimrod, a powerful fighter who defied the Lord.”
तिनी परमप्रभुको सामु शक्तिशाली शिकारी बने । त्यसैले यसो भनियो, “परमप्रभुको सामु निम्रोदजस्तै शक्तिशाली सिकारी ।”
10 His kingdom began in the cities of Babel, Erech, Akkad, and Calneh, all located in the land of Shinar.
तिनका राज्यहरूका सुरुका केन्द्रहरू शिनारको मुलुकका बाबेल, अक्कद र कल्नेह थिए ।
11 From there he moved into Assyria and built the cities of Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah,
तिनी त्यो भूमिबाट बाहिर अश्शूरतित गए, र निनवे, रहोबोत-इर, कालह,
12 and Resen, which lies between Nineveh and the great city of Calah.
र निनवे र कालह बिचमा पर्ने रेसेन निर्माण गरे । यो एउटा ठुलो सहर थियो ।
13 Mizraim was the father of the Ludites, the Anamites, the Lehabites, the Naphtuhites,
मिश्रइम लूदी, अनामी, लहाबी, नप्तूही
14 the Pathrusites, the Casluhites, and the Caphtorites (ancestors of the Philistines).
पत्रुसी, कस्लूही (जसबाट पलिश्तीहरू आए) र कप्तोरीहरूका पुर्खा बने ।
15 Canaan was the father of Sidon, his firstborn, and of the Hittites,
कनान सीदोन अर्थात् तिनका जेठो छोरो, हित्ती,
16 the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,
यबूसी, एमोरी,
17 the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,
गिर्गाशी, हिव्वी, अरकी, सिनी,
18 the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Later the Canaanite tribes spread out
अर्वादी, समारी र हमातीहरूका पुर्खा भए । त्यसपछि कनानीहरूका वंशहरू फैलिए ।
19 and the territory of the Canaanites stretched from Sidon towards Gerar and all the way to Gaza, then towards Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, all the way to Lasha.
कनानीहरूको सिमाना सीदोनदेखि गरार जाने बाटोतिर गाजासम्म, र सदोम, गमोरा, अदमा र सबोयीम जाने बाटोतिर भएर लाशासम्म नै थियो ।
20 These were the sons of Ham according to their tribes, languages, lands, and nation.
तिनीहरूका वंशहरू र भाषाहरूअनुसार तिनीहरूको भूमि र देशमा हामका छोराहरू यिनीहरू नै थिए ।
21 Shem, whose older brother was Japheth, also had sons. Shem was the forefather of all the sons of Eber.
येपेतका दाजु शेमका पनि छोराहरू भए । शेम एबेरका सबै सन्तानहरूका पुर्खा थिए ।
22 The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.
एलाम, अश्शूर, अर्पक्षद, लूद र अराम शेमका छोराहरू थिए ।
23 The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.
ऊज, हुल, गेतेर र मेशेक अरामका छोराहरू थिए ।
24 Arphaxad was the father of Shelah. Shelah was the father of Eber.
अर्पक्षेद शेलहका पिता बने र शेलह एबेरका पिता बने ।
25 Eber had two sons. One was named Peleg, because in his time the earth was divided; the name of his brother was Joktan.
एबेरका दुई जना छोरा भए । एक जना छोराको नाउँ पेलेग थियो, किनभने तिनको समयमा पृथ्वी विभाजित भयो । तिनको भाइको नाउँ योक्तान थियो ।
26 Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
योक्तान अल्मोदद, शेलेप, हसर्मवित, येरह,
27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
हदोरम, ऊजाल, दिक्ला,
28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
ओबाल, अबमाएल, शेबा,
29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. These were all sons of Joktan.
ओपीर, हवीला योबाबका पिता बने ।
30 They lived in the land lying between Mesha to Sephar, in the hill country to the east.
तिनीहरूका क्षेत्र मेशादेखि सपरा जाने बाटो, पूर्वका पहाडसम्म थियो ।
31 These were the sons of Shem, according to their tribes, languages, lands, and nations.
तिनीहरूका वंशहरू र भाषाहरूअनुसार तिनीहरूका मुलुकहरू, जातिहरूअनुसार शेमका छोराहरू यिनीहरू नै थिए ।
32 These were all the tribes descended from Noah's sons, according to their genealogies and national groups. From these ancestors the different nations of the earth spread around the world after the flood.
तिनीहरूका वंशावलीहरू र जातिहरूअनुसार नोआका छोराहरूका वंशहरू यिनै थिए । यी जातिहरूबाट नै जातिहरू छुट्टिए र जलप्रलयपछि पृथ्वीभरि गए ।
