Ezekiel 6
1 A message from the Lord came to me that said,
La parole de Yahweh me fut adressée en ces termes:
2 “Son of man, face towards of Israel's mountains and prophesy against them.
Fils de l’homme, tourne ta face vers les montagnes d’Israël et prophétise contre elles.
3 Tell them: Mountains of Israel, listen to the message from the Lord God! This is what the Lord God says to the mountains and the hills, to the gorges and the valleys: I'm going to attack you and destroy your high places.
Tu diras: Montagnes d’Israël, écoutez la parole du Seigneur Yahweh: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh aux montagnes et aux collines, aux ravins et vallées: Voici que je fais venir contre vous l’épée, et je détruirai vos hauts lieux.
4 Your pagan altars will be torn down, and your incense altars will be smashed to pieces. I will kill your idol worshipers right in front of their idols.
Et vos autels seront dévastés, et vos colonnes solaires seront brisées; et je ferai tomber vos hommes frappés à mort devant vos idoles.
5 I will put the dead bodies of you Israelites in front of your idols and scatter your bones around your altars.
Je mettrai les cadavres des enfants d’Israël devant leurs idoles. Et je sèmerai vos ossements autour de vos autels.
6 Everywhere you live, the towns will be turned into rubble and the high places torn down. Your altars will be demolished and defiled. Your idols will be smashed and completely destroyed. Your incense altars will be knocked down, and all that you made will be ruined.
Partout où vous habitez, les villes seront désolées, et les hauts lieux dévastés, afin que vos autels soient désolés et détruits, vos idoles brisées et anéanties, vos colonnes solaires abattues, et vos ouvrages ruinés.
7 People will be killed all throughout your country. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
Des blessés à mort tomberont au milieu de vous, et vous saurez que je suis Yahweh.
8 However, I will let some of you survive and scatter you among the different nations and countries.
Mais je vous laisserai un reste, des réchappés du glaive parmi les nations, quand vous serez dispersés dans les pays.
9 Once they are they are there as prisoners in the nations, then the survivors will remember me. They will realize how sad they made me by their spiritual adultery as they deserted me with their eyes full of lust as they worshiped idols. They will hate themselves for the evil things they did, for all their disgusting sins.
Et vos réchappés se souviendront de moi chez les nations, où je les emmènerai captifs, quand j’aurai brisé leur cœur adultère, qui s’est détourné de moi, et leurs yeux adultères, qui se sont tournés vers leurs idoles; et ils se prendront eux-mêmes en dégoût, pour le mal qu’ils ont fait, en commettant toutes leurs abominations.
10 Then they will know that I am the Lord, and that I was not pretending when I warned them about bringing this disaster upon them.
Et ils sauront que je suis Yahweh; ce n’est pas en vain que j’ai parlé de faire venir sur eux ces maux.
11 This is what the Lord God says: Hit yourself with your hands, stomp your feet, and shout out ‘Oh no!’ Do this because of all the terrible wickedness of the people of Israel. They are going to die by the sword and famine and disease.
Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahweh: Frappe dans ta main et bats du pied, et dis: Hélas! sur toutes les méchantes abominations de la maison d’Israël, qui va périr par l’épée, par la famine et par la peste.
12 Those living far away will die from of disease, those who are close by will be killed by the sword, and those who are left will die of starvation. This is how I will express my anger towards them.
Celui qui sera loin mourra de la peste, et celui qui sera près tombera par l’épée; celui qui sera resté et sera conservé mourra de faim, et j’assouvirai sur eux mon courroux.
13 Then you will know that I am the Lord—when the idol worshipers lie dead among their idols and altars on the top of every hill and mountain, and under every green tree and large oak. These were the pagan shrines where they offered sweet-smelling incense to all their idols.
Et vous saurez que je suis Yahweh quand leurs morts seront couchés au milieu de leurs idoles autour de leurs autels, sur toute colline élevée, sur tous les sommets des montagnes, sous tout arbre vert, et sous tout chêne au feuillage touffu, à l’endroit où ils ont offert un encens d’agréable odeur à toutes leurs idoles.
14 I'm going to lift up my hand to punish them. In every place they live I will make their country a wasteland, all the way from the desert in the south to Diblah in the north. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”
J’étendrai ma main contre eux, et je rendrai le pays désolé et dévasté, depuis le désert jusqu’à Diblah, partout où ils habitent; et ils sauront que je suis Yahweh.
