< Ezekiel 5 >
1 “Son of man, go and shave your head and your beard using a sharp sword like a barber's razor. Then divide up the hair using a set of scales.
“Báyìí, ọmọ ènìyàn, mú ìdá tí ó mú kí o sì fi ṣe abẹ ìfárí onígbàjámọ̀, kí o fi fá irun orí àti irùngbọ̀n rẹ. Fi irun yìí sórí ìwọ̀n kí o sì pín in.
2 Once the days of the siege have finished, burn up one third of the hair inside the city; slash at another third with a sword around the city; and scatter another third in the wind. I will let loose a sword behind them to chase them.
Nígbà tí ọjọ́ ìgbóguntì bá parí, sun ìdákan nínú ìdámẹ́ta irun yìí níná láàrín ìlú. Mú ìdákan nínú mẹ́ta kí o fi idà bù ú káàkiri ìlú. Kí o sì tú ìdákan yòókù ká sínú afẹ́fẹ́. Nítorí pé pẹ̀lú idà ni èmi yóò máa lé wọn ká.
3 Take just a few hairs and tuck them into the hem of your clothes.
Ṣùgbọ́n mú díẹ̀ nínú irun yìí kí o sì ta á mọ́ etí aṣọ rẹ.
4 Take some of these and toss them into the fire to burn them. A fire will spread from there to burn everyone in Israel.
Tún ju díẹ̀ nínú irun yìí sínú iná, kí o sun ún níná. Torí pé láti ibẹ̀ ni iná yóò ti jáde lọ sí gbogbo ilé Israẹli.
5 This is what the Lord God says: This represents Jerusalem. I placed her right in the middle of the nations, surrounded by other countries.
“Báyìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: Èyí ní Jerusalẹmu, tí mo gbé kalẹ̀ sí àárín àwọn Orílẹ̀-èdè, pẹ̀lú àwọn ìlú gbogbo tí o yí i ká.
6 But she rebelled against my rules, acting more wickedly than the nations, and she defied my regulations more than the countries surrounding her. Her people rejected my rules and refused to follow my regulations.
Síbẹ̀ nínú ìwà búburú rẹ ó ti ṣọ̀tẹ̀ si òfin àti ìlànà mi ju àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè àti àwọn ilẹ̀ tó yí i ká lọ. Ó ti kọ òfin mi sílẹ̀, o kò sì pa ìlànà mi mọ́.
7 Consequently this is what the Lord God says: You have caused more trouble than the nations around you. You refused to follow my rules and keep my regulations. In fact you didn't even live up to the standards of the nations surrounding you.
“Nítorí náà, báyìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: Nítorí pé ẹ̀yin ti ṣe àìgbọ́ràn ju àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tó yí yín ká lọ, tí ẹ kò sì tẹ̀lé ìlànà mi tàbí kí o pa òfin mi mọ́. O kò tilẹ̀ túnṣe dáradára tó àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tó yí ọ ká.
8 So this is what the Lord God says: Watch out, because it's me who is condemning you, Jerusalem! I'm going to carry out my sentence against you while the other nations watch.
“Nítorí náà báyìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí: Èmi gan an lòdì sí ọ, Jerusalẹmu, èmi yóò sì jẹ ọ́ ní yà lójú àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tó yí ọ ká.
9 Because of all the disgusting things you've done, I'm going to do to you what I've never done before—and I won't ever do again.
Nítorí gbogbo ohun ìríra rẹ, èmi yóò ṣe ohun tí n kò tí ì ṣe rí láàrín rẹ àti èyí tí n kò ní í ṣe irú rẹ̀ mọ́.
10 In your city parents will eat their own children, and children will eat their parents. I'm going to punish you and scatter in every directions those who are left.
Nítorí náà láàrín rẹ àwọn baba yóò máa jẹ ọmọ wọn, àwọn ọmọ náà yóò máa jẹ baba wọn. Èmi yóò jẹ ọ́ ní yà, èmi yóò sì tú àwọn tó bá ṣẹ́kù ká sínú ẹ̀fúùfù.
11 As I live, declares the Lord God, because you have made my sanctuary unclean with all your offensive idols and disgusting practices, I will stop treating you well. I won't be kind to you—I won't show you any pity.
Nítorí náà, Olúwa Olódùmarè wí pé, bí mo ṣe wà láààyè, nítorí pé ìwọ ti sọ ibi mímọ́ mi di àìmọ́ pẹ̀lú àwọn àwòrán ẹ̀gbin àti àwọn ohun ìríra rẹ, èmi yóò mú ojúrere mi kúrò lára rẹ, èmi kò ní í da ọ sí, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni èmi kì yóò wò ọ́ pẹ̀lú àánú mọ́.
12 A third of your people will die from disease or starvation inside the city; a third will be killed by the sword outside the city walls; and a third I will scatter in the wind in all directions, and let loose a sword behind them to chase them.
Ìdámẹ́ta nínú àwọn ènìyàn rẹ yóò kú nípa àjàkálẹ̀-ààrùn tàbí kí ìyàn run wọ́n: ìdámẹ́ta yóò ṣubú nípa idà lẹ́yìn odi rẹ, èmi yóò sì tú ìdámẹ́ta yòókù ká sínú ẹ̀fúùfù, èmi yóò sì máa fi idà lé wọn.
13 Once my anger is over and I've finished punishing them, then I'll be satisfied. When I've finished punishing them, then they'll know that I, the Lord, meant what I said when I spoke so strongly.
“Ìbínú mi yóò sì dúró, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ìbínú gbígbóná mi yóò sì rọlẹ̀, èmi yóò sì ti gba ẹ̀san mi. Nígbà tí mo bá sì parí ìbínú mi lórí wọn, wọn ó mọ̀ pé, Èmi Olúwa ti sọ̀rọ̀ nínú ìtara mi.
14 I'm going to ruin you and humiliate you in front of the nations surrounding you, in the sight of every passer-by.
“Èmi yóò fi ọ́ ṣòfò, èmi yóò sì sọ ọ́ di ẹ̀gàn fún àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tó yí ọ ká, àti lójú àwọn tó ń kọjá.
15 You will be criticized and mocked, you'll be a warning and something horrifying to the surrounding nations when I carry out my sentence against you in my rage and furious anger. I the Lord have spoken.
O ó wá di ẹ̀gàn, ẹ̀sín àti ẹ̀kọ̀ àti ohun ẹ̀rù àti ìyanu fún àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tó yí ọ ká, nígbà tí mo bá fìyà jẹ ọ́ nínú ìbínú àti nínú ìbínú gbígbóná mi. Èmi Olúwa ni ó sọ bẹ́ẹ̀.
16 When I pour down on you deadly arrows of famine and destruction they're intended to kill you. I will make your famine worse by stopping your food supply.
Nígbà tí èmi ó rán ọfà búburú ìyàn sí wọn, èyí tí yóò jẹ́ fún ìparun wọn. Èmí tí èmi yóò rán run yín. Èmí yóò sì sọ ìyàn di púpọ̀ fún yín. Èmí yóò sì ṣẹ́ ọ̀pá oúnjẹ yín.
17 I will send famine and wild animals to attack you. You'll have no children left. Disease and killing will sweep over you, and I will bring armies to attack you. I the Lord have spoken.”
Èmi yóò rán ìyàn àti ẹranko búburú sí i yín, wọn yóò fi yín sílẹ̀ ni àìlọ́mọ. Àjàkálẹ̀-ààrùn àti ìtàjẹ̀ sílẹ̀ yóò kọjá láàrín yín. Èmi yóò si mú idà wá sórí rẹ. Èmi Olúwa ló sọ bẹ́ẹ̀.”
