< Ezekiel 5 >

1 “Son of man, go and shave your head and your beard using a sharp sword like a barber's razor. Then divide up the hair using a set of scales.
“Afei onipa ba, fa afoa nnamnam yi yɛ sɛ obi a oyi ti oyiwan na fa yi wo tinwi ne wʼabogyesɛ. Fa nsania na kyekyɛ nwi no mu.
2 Once the days of the siege have finished, burn up one third of the hair inside the city; slash at another third with a sword around the city; and scatter another third in the wind. I will let loose a sword behind them to chase them.
Sɛ wo bere a wɔatua mo ano nna no ba awiei a, fa ogya hyew nwi no nkyɛmu abiɛsa mu baako wɔ kuropɔn no mu. Fa afoa twitwa nkyɛmu abiɛsa no mu baako wɔ kuropɔn no afanan nyinaa. Na hwete nkyɛmu abiɛsa mu baako wɔ mframa mu, efisɛ mɛtwe afoa ataa wɔn.
3 Take just a few hairs and tuck them into the hem of your clothes.
Nanso fa nwi no kakra bi kyekyere wʼatade ano.
4 Take some of these and toss them into the fire to burn them. A fire will spread from there to burn everyone in Israel.
Afei nso, fa saa nwi no kakra bi na tow gu ogya mu na hyew. Ogya no bɛterɛw afi hɔ akɔ Israelfi nyinaa.
5 This is what the Lord God says: This represents Jerusalem. I placed her right in the middle of the nations, surrounded by other countries.
“Sɛɛ na Otumfo Awurade se: Eyi ne Yerusalem a mede asi amanaman no ntam na nsase atwa ho ahyia.
6 But she rebelled against my rules, acting more wickedly than the nations, and she defied my regulations more than the countries surrounding her. Her people rejected my rules and refused to follow my regulations.
Nanso nʼamumɔyɛ mu, wayɛ dɔm atia me mmara ne me nhyehyɛe asen aman ne nsase a atwa ne ho ahyia no. Wapo me mmara na wanni mʼahyɛde so.
7 Consequently this is what the Lord God says: You have caused more trouble than the nations around you. You refused to follow my rules and keep my regulations. In fact you didn't even live up to the standards of the nations surrounding you.
“Enti sɛɛ na Otumfo Awurade se: Woayɛ asoɔden asen amanaman a wɔatwa wo ho ahyia na woanni mʼahyɛde anaa me mmara so no. Woanyɛ sɛnea aman a atwa wo ho ahyia no yɛ mpo.
8 So this is what the Lord God says: Watch out, because it's me who is condemning you, Jerusalem! I'm going to carry out my sentence against you while the other nations watch.
“Enti sɛɛ na Otumfo Awurade se: Me ne woanya, Yerusalem, na mede asotwe bɛba wo so wɔ amanaman no anim.
9 Because of all the disgusting things you've done, I'm going to do to you what I've never done before—and I won't ever do again.
Esiane wʼahoni nyinaa a ɛyɛ akyiwade no nti, mɛyɛ wo nea menyɛɛ bi da na merenyɛ bi bio nso da.
10 In your city parents will eat their own children, and children will eat their parents. I'm going to punish you and scatter in every directions those who are left.
Enti mo mu no, agyanom bedi wɔn mma nam na mma adi wɔn agyanom nam. Mɛtwe wʼaso na mahwete wo nkae akɔ mmaa nyinaa.
11 As I live, declares the Lord God, because you have made my sanctuary unclean with all your offensive idols and disgusting practices, I will stop treating you well. I won't be kind to you—I won't show you any pity.
Enti sɛ mete ase yi, Otumfo Awurade na ose, esiane sɛ wode nsɛsode tantan ne akyiwade nneyɛe agu me kronkronbea ho fi nti, mʼankasa meyi mʼadom afi wo so; merenhu wo mmɔbɔ na meremfa wo ho nkyɛ wo.
12 A third of your people will die from disease or starvation inside the city; a third will be killed by the sword outside the city walls; and a third I will scatter in the wind in all directions, and let loose a sword behind them to chase them.
Wo nkurɔfo no mu nkyɛmu abiɛsa mu baako bewuwu wɔ ɔyaredɔm no mu, anaasɛ ɔkɔm bekunkum wɔn; nkyɛmu abiɛsa mu baako bɛtotɔ wɔ afoa ano wɔ wʼafasu akyi na mabɔ nkyɛmu abiɛsa mu baako nso ahwete mmaa nyinaa na matwe afoa ataa wɔn.
13 Once my anger is over and I've finished punishing them, then I'll be satisfied. When I've finished punishing them, then they'll know that I, the Lord, meant what I said when I spoke so strongly.
“Afei me bo bedwo na mʼabufuwhyew a etia wɔn no nso ano bɛbrɛ ase na matɔ were. Na sɛ meda mʼabufuwhyew adi kyerɛ wɔn a, wobehu sɛ ɛyɛ me Awurade na makasa wɔ me tumi mu.
14 I'm going to ruin you and humiliate you in front of the nations surrounding you, in the sight of every passer-by.
“Mɛyɛ wo nnwiriwii ne ahohora wɔ amanaman a atwa wo ho ahyia no mu, ne wɔn a wotwa mu wɔ hɔ no ani so.
15 You will be criticized and mocked, you'll be a warning and something horrifying to the surrounding nations when I carry out my sentence against you in my rage and furious anger. I the Lord have spoken.
Wobɛyɛ ahohora ne fɛwdi, kɔkɔbɔ ne aninyanne ama amanaman a wɔatwa wo ho ahyia no, bere a mede abufuw ne abufuwhyew ne animka a ano yɛ den retwe wʼaso. Me Awurade na maka.
16 When I pour down on you deadly arrows of famine and destruction they're intended to kill you. I will make your famine worse by stopping your food supply.
Sɛ metow me kɔm agyan a bɔre wɔ ano na ɛsɛe ade wɔ wo a, ɛbɛsɛe wo. Mede ɔkɔm a emu yɛ den bɛba wo so na masiw wʼaduan a wunya no ho kwan.
17 I will send famine and wild animals to attack you. You'll have no children left. Disease and killing will sweep over you, and I will bring armies to attack you. I the Lord have spoken.”
Mede ɔkɔm ne nkekaboa bɛba wo mu, na wo mma bɛsa ama woayɛ sɛ obi a na onni mma. Ɔyaredɔm ne mogyahwiegu bɛfa wo mu, na mɛtwe afoa wɔ wo so. Me Awurade na maka.”
