Ezekiel 36
1 “And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say: Mountains of Israel, listen to this message from the Lord.
Y tú, hijo de hombre, profetiza acerca de los montes de Israel, y di: Montes de Israel, escuchen la palabra del Señor.
2 This is what the Lord God says: The enemy said about you, ‘Aha! These old high places now belong to us,’
Esto es lo que el Señor ha dicho: Porque tu enemigo ha dicho contra ti, ¡Ajá! y, Las montañas perpetuas son nuestro patrimonio, las hemos tomado.
3 so you must prophesy and announce that this is what the Lord God says: They have turned you into a wasteland, attacking you from every direction, so that you became the property of other nations and people gossiped about you and slandered you.
Por esta causa, profetiza y di: Esto es lo que el Señor Dios ha dicho: Porque incluso porque los han asolado y los han avergonzado por todos lados, porque se han convertido en una herencia para otras naciones, y eres el blanco de la habladuría, y ser él desprecio del pueblo.
4 So now, mountains of Israel, listen to the message from the Lord God. This is what the Lord God says to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys, to the deserted ruins and abandoned towns, that the other nations around you have looted and mocked.
Por esta razón, montes de Israel, presten atención a la palabra del Señor Dios; esto es lo que el Señor Dios ha dicho a las montañas y a los montes, a los arroyos y a los valles, a las ruinas despobladas y a las ciudades donde no vive nadie, de los cuales se han sacado los bienes y se han puesto a disposición de las naciones que los hicieron presa y escarnio que están alrededor.
5 Yes, this is what the Lord God says: I have spoken passionately against these other nations, and against all the Edomites, who took over my country and made it theirs, happily celebrating as they looted the land and treated me with complete contempt.
Por esto ha dicho el Señor Dios: En verdad, en el fuego de mi celo he dicho cosas contra el resto de las naciones y contra todos los Edom, que han tomado mi tierra como una herencia para ellos mismos con el gozo de todo su corazón, y con desprecio del alma, para dejarla como presa.
6 So prophesy concerning the country of Israel and tell the mountains and hills, the ravines and valleys, that this is what the Lord God says: Just watch, for I have spoken passionately about this because you have had to put up with this mockery from other nations.
Por esta causa, profetiza acerca de la tierra de Israel, y di a los montes, a las colinas, a los arroyos y a los valles. Esto es lo que el Señor Dios ha dicho: En verdad, en mi celo y en Mi ira he dicho estas cosas, porque has sufrido los insultos de las naciones.
7 This is what the Lord God says: I hold up my hand and swear that the other nations around you will suffer their own shame.
Por esto ha dicho el Señor Dios: Mira, he jurado que las naciones que te rodean deben sufrir la vergüenza que te han impuesto.
8 But you, mountains of Israel, will grow trees that will produce fruit for my people Israel, for soon they'll be coming home.
Mas tú, oh montes de Israel, sacarás tus ramas y darás tu fruto a mi pueblo Israel; porque están listos para venir.
9 Look, I am for you and I will help you. Your land will be ploughed, and crops will be sown.
Porque verdaderamente estoy con ustedes, y volveré a ustedes, y serán arados y sembrados.
10 You will support the people of Israel as they return and grow in number. People will live in the towns again and rebuild the ruins.
Los multiplicaré, a todos los hijos de Israel, incluso a todos; y los pueblos se poblarán y las ruinas serán reedificada;
11 The number of your people will grow— they will have many children. The animals too will have many young. I will make sure that you're inhabited just as you used to be, and I will make you more prosperous that you were before. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
El hombre y la bestia se multiplicarán, y tendrán descendencia y serán fértiles; los haré poblado denso como antes, y los haré mejor que al principio; y sabrán que Yo soy Dios.
12 I will have my people Israel walk on you mountains. You will be theirs; you will belong to them, and you will no longer rob your nation of their children.
Sí, haré caminar a los hombres sobre ustedes, mi pueblo Israel; te tendrán como herencia y serás de ellos, y nunca más les matarás a sus hijos.
13 This is what the Lord God says: Because people say to you, ‘You eat people, and rob your nation of their children,’
Esto es lo que ha dicho el Señor Dios: Porque te dicen: Tú, oh tierra, eres la destrucción de los hombres, que causa la pérdida de niños para tu nación;
14 from now on you won't eat people or rob your nation of their children, declares the Lord God.
Por esta razón ya no volverás a quitar la vida a los hombres y nunca volverás a ser la causa de la pérdida de hijos para tu nación, dice el Señor Dios.
15 I'm going to stop these nations insulting you, and you won't have to put up with their taunts any more, or make the nation fall, declares the Lord God.”
Y no permitiré que los insultos de las naciones llegue a tus oídos, y ya no serás despreciado por los pueblos, dice el Señor Dios.
16 Another message from Lord came to me, saying,
Entonces vino a mí la palabra del Señor, diciendo:
17 “Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their country, they made it unclean by the way they behaved, by what they did. The way they were behaving in my presence was like the ceremonial uncleanness of a woman's period.
Hijo de hombre, cuando los hijos de Israel vivían en su tierra, la hicieron impura por sus caminos y sus actos: su camino delante de mí fue como cuando una mujer es impura en el momento de su menstruación.
18 So I became angry with them because of murders they committed in the country, and because they made it unclean by worshiping idols.
Así que desaté mi ira contra ellos a causa de aquellos a quienes mataron violentamente en la tierra, y porque la contaminaron con sus imágenes.
19 I scattered them among the different nations and countries. I judged them according to the way they had behaved and what they did.
Y los esparcí entre las naciones y los disperse por los países; Yo los juzgue de acuerdo con sus camino y sus actos.
20 But wherever they went among the nations, they ruined my reputation, because people said about them, ‘These are the Lord's people, but they had to leave his country.’
Y cuando iban entre las naciones, dondequiera que iban, profanaron mi santo nombre, cuando se dijo de ellos: Estas son las personas del Señor que han salido de su tierra.
21 So I had to take care of my reputation for holiness which the people of Israel had ruined among the nations where they'd gone.
Pero tuve lástima por mi santo nombre que los hijos de Israel habían profanado dejado dondequiera que iban.
22 Tell the people of Israel that this is what the Lord God says: I'm not doing this for you, people of Israel, but for my reputation for holiness, which you ruined among the nations where you went.
Por esto, di a los hijos de Israel: Esto es lo que ha dicho el Señor: Estoy haciendo esto, no por ustedes, hijos de Israel, sino por mi santo nombre, el cual ustedes lo profanaron en las naciones dondequiera que iban.
23 I will reveal the holy nature and importance of my reputation, which has been ruined among the nations, the reputation you have ruined among them. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Lord God, when I reveal my holiness through you as they watch.
Y santificaré mi gran nombre que ha sido profanado entre las naciones, y tú lo has profanado entre ellas; y será claro para las naciones que yo soy el Señor, dice el Señor Dios, cuando sea consagrado entre ustedes ante sus ojos.
24 For I will bring you back from among the nations, gathering you from all the different countries, and I will lead you back into your own country.
Porque te sacaré de entre las naciones, y te reuniré de todos los países, y te llevaré a tu tierra.
25 I will also pour pure water over you, and you will be clean. I will wash you clean from all your uncleanness and from all your idols.
Y los rociaré con agua limpia para que esté limpios de todas sus impurezas y de todas sus imágenes, te limpiaré.
26 I will give you a new mind and I will put a new spirit inside you. I will take away your stubborn mind and I will give you a loving mind.
Y te daré un nuevo corazón y pondré un nuevo espíritu en ti; quitaré de tu carne el corazón de piedra y te daré un corazón de carne.
27 I will put my Spirit inside you so you will follow my laws and remember to do what I tell you.
Y pondré mi espíritu en ti, haciendo que se guíen por mis reglas, y guardarás mis órdenes y las cumplirás.
28 Then you will live in the country I gave to your forefathers. You will be my people, and I will be your God.
Para que sigas viviendo en la tierra que yo di a tus padres; y tú serás para mí un pueblo, y yo seré para ustedes su Dios.
29 I will save you from everything that makes you unclean. I will make sure you have plenty of grain. I won't send you any famines.
Y los liberaré de todos sus caminos inmundos; y ante mi voz el grano aumentará, y no dejaré que les falten alimentos.
30 I will also make sure you have good harvests from your orchards and fields, so that you won't be mocked by other nations anymore because of famine.
Y haré que el árbol dé más frutos y que el campo sea más abundante, y ya no serán avergonzados entre las naciones por necesidad de alimento.
31 Then you will remember your evil ways and terrible things you've done, and you'll hate yourselves for your sins and disgusting actions.
Y al recordar sus malos caminos y sus malas acciones, tendrás un odio amargo por ustedes mismos debido a sus malas acciones y sus asquerosos caminos, oh hijos de Israel.
32 You need to realize that I'm not doing this for your sake, declares the Lord God. You should be ashamed and embarrassed for what you've done, people of Israel!
No por ustedes lo estoy haciendo, dice el Señor Dios; sea claro para ti, y averguencense y humíllense por sus caminos, oh hijos de Israel.
33 This is what the Lord God says: On the day I make you clean from all your sins, I will have you live in your towns again and make sure the ruins are rebuilt.
Esto es lo que el Señor Dios ha dicho: en el día en que los limpie de todas sus malas acciones, dejaré que los pueblos se habiten y se construirá en los lugares desolados.
34 The land that was deserted will be cultivated again instead of looking abandoned to everyone passing by.
Y la tierra que era un desperdicio será cultivada, en lugar de ser un desperdicio en los ojos de todos los que pasan.
35 Then they will say, ‘This deserted land is now like the garden of Eden. The towns that were demolished, abandoned, and destroyed have been restored and strengthened, and people are living in them.’
Y dirán: Esta tierra que fue desierta se ha vuelto como el jardín del Edén y las ciudades que estaban despobladas y desperdiciadas y derribadas están amuralladas y pobladas.
36 Then those nations around you that are left will acknowledge that I, the Lord, have rebuilt what was demolished, and that I have replanted what was destroyed. I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will carry it out.
Entonces el resto de las naciones a tu alrededor sabrán que yo, Dios, soy el constructor de los lugares que fueron derribados y el sembrador de lo que fue un desperdicio. Yo, él Dios, lo he dicho y lo haré.
37 This is what the Lord God says: I will once again answer the prayers of the people of Israel. This is what I will do for them: I will have them increase in number like a flock.
Esto es lo que el Señor Dios ha dicho: Los hijos de Israel me harán una nueva oración por esto, para que yo pueda hacerlo por ellos; Los multiplicaré con hombres como un rebaño.
38 Just like all the many flocks that are brought to Jerusalem to be sacrificed during the religious festivals, so the towns that were once demolished will be full of flocks of people. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”
Como ovejas para las ofrendas, como las ovejas de Jerusalén en sus fiestas solemnes, así los pueblos despoblados se llenarán de hombres, y sabrán que yo soy Dios.
