< Ezekiel 35 >
1 A message from the Lord came to me, saying,
Ekigambo kya Mukama ne kinzijira n’aŋŋamba nti,
2 “Son of man, face towards Mount Seir and prophesy against it
“Omwana w’omuntu, tunuulira olusozi Seyiri owe obunnabbi,
3 Announce that this is what the Lord God says: Watch out, because I'm condemning you, Mount Seir. I'm going to attack you and turn you into a wasteland.
oyogere nti, ‘Bw’ati bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda nti, Nkulinako ensonga, olusozi Seyiri, era ndikugolererako omukono gwange ne nkufuula amatongo.
4 I will ruin your towns; you will be completely devastated. Then you will acknowledge that I am the Lord.
Ndifuula ebibuga byo okuba ebifulukwa era olifuuka matongo, omanye nga nze Mukama.’
5 Because of your lasting hatred for the Israelites you let them be attacked with swords as they went through terrible disasters when the time of their punishment was coming to an end.
“‘Kubanga wasiba ekiruyi eky’edda n’owaayo Abayisirayiri okuttibwa mu biro mwe baalabira ennaku, mu biro eby’okubonerezebwa kwabwe okwenkomerero,
6 So as I live, declares the Lord God, I will let you be violently attacked and chased down. Since you did not hate bloodshed, bloodshed will come after you.
nga bwe ndi omulamu, kyendiva mbawaayo muttiŋŋane era okuttiŋŋana kulibalondoola, bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda. Kubanga temwakyawa kuyiwa musaayi, okuyiwa omusaayi kyekuliva kubalondoola.
7 I will turn Mount Seir into a ruined wasteland. I will wipe out anyone who leaves or who tries to return.
Ndifuula olusozi Seyiri okuba amatongo, ne nsalako abo bonna abajja n’abagenda.
8 I will fill its mountains with the dead. Those killed by the sword will fall in your hills, valleys, and all your ravines.
Ndijjuza ensozi zo abafu, n’abattiddwa ekitala baligwa ku busozi bwo, ne mu biwonvu byo, ne mu migga gyo.
9 I will ruin you forever. Your towns will not be inhabited again. Then you will acknowledge that I am the Lord.
Ndikufuula matongo emirembe gyonna, so tewaliba alibeera mu bibuga byo, olyoke omanye nga nze Mukama.
10 Because you said, ‘These two nations and their lands belong to us, and we will take them over, even though the Lord was there with them,’
“‘Mwalowooza nga amawanga ga Yuda ne Isirayiri gammwe, era ne mulowooza okugeetwalira. Naye nze ndi Mukama waabwe,
11 then as I live, declares the Lord God, I will deal with you in the same way that you showed anger and jealousy to them in your hatred of them. They will realize that I'm punishing you because of the way you treated them.
era nga bwe ndi omulamu, bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda nti, ndibabonereza olw’obusungu n’obuggya bye mwabalaga nga mubakyawa, balyoke bammanye, mmwe bwe ndibasalira omusango.
12 You will also realize that I, the Lord, heard all the nasty things you said about the mountainous land of Israel when you announced, ‘The mountains have been left empty; they're ours to take!’
Oluvannyuma olimanya nga nze Mukama mpulidde byonna eby’obunyoomi bye wayogera eri ensozi za Isirayiri. Nagamba nti, “Bafuuse matongo, era baweereddwayo gye tuli okubamalawo.”
13 You made a lot of boasts attacking me—you had much to say against me. I heard it for myself!
Wanneewanirako, n’oteekuma, kyokka ne nkuwulira.
14 This is what the Lord God says: I will destroy you as everyone else in the world celebrates.
Bw’ati bw’ayogera Mukama Katonda nti, Ensi yonna bw’eriba esanyuka, gwe ndikufuula matongo.
15 Just as you celebrated when Israel was destroyed, I will do the same to you. Mount Seir, you will become a wasteland, and so will the rest of Edom. Then they will acknowledge that I am the Lord.”
Olw’okuba nga wasanyuka, omugabo gw’ennyumba ya Isirayiri bwe gwafuuka amatongo nange bwe ntyo bwe ndikukola. Ggwe olusozi Seyiri ne Edomu yonna mulifuuka matongo, mulyoke mumanye nga nze Mukama.’”
