Ezekiel 25

1 A message from the Lord came to me, saying,

Neno la Bwana likanijia kusema:

2 “Son of man, face towards the Ammonites and prophesy against them.

“Mwanadamu, elekeza uso wako juu ya Waamoni utabiri dhidi yao.

3 Tell the Ammonites to listen to the message from the Lord God, for this is what the Lord God says: Because you said, ‘Oh good!’ when my sanctuary was made unclean, when the country of Israel was turned into a wasteland, and when the people of Judah were taken into exile,

Waambie, ‘Sikieni neno la Bwana Mwenyezi. Hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: Kwa sababu ulisema, “Aha!” juu ya mahali pangu patakatifu palipotiwa unajisi, na juu ya nchi ya Israeli ilipoangamizwa, na juu ya watu wa Yuda walipokwenda uhamishoni,

4 this is why I will make you subject to the people of the East. They will make camp and set up their tents right where you live. They will eat your fruit and drink your milk.

kwa hiyo nitawatia mikononi mwa watu wa mashariki mkawe mali yao. Watapiga kambi zao katikati yenu na kufanya makazi miongoni mwenu, watakula matunda yenu na kunywa maziwa yenu.

5 I will make Rabbah a camel pasture, and Ammon a sheep-pen. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

Nitaufanya mji wa Raba kuwa malisho ya ngamia na Amoni kuwa mahali pa kondoo pa kupumzikia. Ndipo mtakapojua kuwa Mimi ndimi Bwana.

6 For this is what the Lord God says: Because you clapped your hands and stamped your feet in a celebration of hate over what happened to Israel,

Kwa kuwa hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: Kwa kuwa umepiga makofi yako na kufanya kishindo kwa miguu, mkifurahia kwa mioyo yenu miovu juu ya yale mabaya yaliyoipata nchi ya Israeli,

7 this is why I will reach out and attack you, and hand you over to be looted by other nations. I will wipe you out so completely that you will no longer exist as a nation. I will destroy you, and then you will know that I am the Lord.

hivyo nitaunyoosha mkono wangu dhidi yako na kukutoa kuwa nyara kwa mataifa. Nitakukatilia mbali kutoka kwenye mataifa na kukungʼoa katika nchi. Nitakuangamiza, nawe utajua ya kuwa Mimi ndimi Bwana.’”

8 This is what the Lord God says: Because the people of Moab and Seir said, ‘Look, the people of Judah are just like everybody else,’

“Hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: ‘Kwa sababu Moabu na Seiri wamesema, “Tazama, nyumba ya Yuda imekuwa kama mataifa mengine yote,”

9 that's why I will open Moab's border to attack, including Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim, the country's famous cities.

kwa hiyo nitaiondoa ile miji iliyo kando ya Moabu, kuanzia miji iliyoko mipakani, yaani: Beth-Yeshimothi, Baal-Meoni na Kiriathaimu, iliyo utukufu wa nchi hiyo.

10 I will hand Moab over to the people of the East for them to rule so that will no longer exist as a nation just like the Ammonites.

Nitaitia Moabu pamoja na Waamoni mikononi mwa watu wa Mashariki kuwa milki yao, ili kwamba Waamoni wasikumbukwe miongoni mwa mataifa,

11 This is how I'm going to punish the Moabites, and they will know that I am the Lord.

nami nitatoa adhabu kwa Moabu. Ndipo watakapojua kuwa Mimi ndimi Bwana.’”

12 This is what the Lord God says: Because Edom committed serious sins by taking vicious revenge on the people of Judah,

“Hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: ‘Kwa sababu Edomu ulilipiza kisasi juu ya nyumba ya Yuda na kukosa sana kwa kufanya hivyo,

13 this is why the Lord God says: I will reach out to attack Edom and destroy all its people and animals. I will turn it into a wasteland. All the way from Teman in the north to Dedan in the south they will die by the sword.

kwa hiyo hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: Nitaunyoosha mkono wangu dhidi ya Edomu na kuua watu wake na wanyama wao. Nitaufanya ukiwa, kuanzia Temani hadi Dedani wataanguka kwa upanga.

14 I will take revenge on the Edomites through my people Israel. They will deal with the Edomites so that they experience my anger. Then they will know what my vengeance is like, declares the Lord God.

Nitalipiza Edomu kisasi kwa mkono wa watu wangu Israeli, nao watawatendea Edomu sawasawa na hasira yangu na ghadhabu yangu, nao watakijua kisasi changu, asema Bwana Mwenyezi.’”

15 This is what the Lord God says: Because the Philistines in their hatred repeatedly took revenge on Judah, trying to destroy the people,

“Hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: ‘Kwa sababu Wafilisti wamewalipiza kisasi kwa uovu wa mioyo yao na kwa uadui wa siku nyingi wakataka kuangamiza Yuda,

16 this is why the Lord God says: Watch out! I'm going to reach out to attack the Philistines, and I will wipe out the Kerethites and destroy those who are left along the coast.

kwa hiyo hili ndilo Bwana Mwenyezi asemalo: Mimi ninakaribia kuunyoosha mkono wangu dhidi ya Wafilisti, nami nitawakatilia mbali Wakerethi na kuwaangamiza wale waliosalia katika pwani.

17 My revenge against them will be severe as I punish them in my anger. Then they will know that I am the Lord, when they experience my anger.”

Nitalipiza kisasi kikubwa juu yao na kuwaadhibu katika ghadhabu yangu. Ndipo watakapojua kuwa Mimi ndimi Bwana, nitakapolipiza kisasi juu yao.’”
