Ezekiel 23
1 A message from the Lord came to me, saying,
La Palabra de Yavé vino a mí:
2 “Son of man, there were once two women. They were daughters of the same mother.
Hijo de hombre, hubo dos mujeres, hijas de la misma madre,
3 They became prostitutes in Egypt. In fact, they were prostitutes from the time they were young. They allowed their virgin breasts to be fondled and their nipples squeezed.
y se prostituyeron en Egipto. En su juventud se prostituyeron. Allí fueron apretados sus pechos. Allí fueron estrujados sus senos virginales.
4 The older girl was called Oholah, and her sister Oholibah. I married them both and they had sons and daughters. Oholah represents Samaria, and Oholibah represents Jerusalem.
Ahola se llamaba la mayor y Aholiba era su hermana. Después fueron mías, y dieron a luz hijos e hijas. En cuanto a sus nombres, Samaria es Ahola y Jerusalén Aholiba.
5 Oholah prostituted herself while she was still married to me. She wanted to have sex with her lovers, the Assyrians.
Ahola, cuando era mía, se prostituyó y se enamoró de sus amantes asirios,
6 They were soldiers dressed in blue, leaders and commanders, all of them handsome young men in the cavalry.
guerreros cubiertos de púrpura, gobernadores y sátrapas, todos ellos eran jóvenes codiciables, jinetes que montaban caballos.
7 She gave away herself sexually to all the important men of Assyria. She made herself unclean by her worship of all the idols of those men she wanted to have sex with.
A ellos les brindó sus prostituciones, a los más escogidos hijos de Asiria. Se contaminó con todos los ídolos de ellos.
8 She didn't stop her prostitution that she started in Egypt—men sleeping with her when she was young, squeezing her virgin breasts and using her to satisfy their sexual appetite.
Pero no dejó de prostituirse con los egipcios, los cuales en su juventud se unieron con ella, apretaron sus pechos virginales y vertieron en ella su lujuria.
9 So I handed her over to her lovers, the Assyrians she wanted to have sex with.
Por lo cual la entregué en la mano de sus amantes, en la mano de los asirios, de quienes se enamoró.
10 They stripped her naked, took away her sons and daughters, and killed her with the sword. She became infamous among women, and they punished her.
Ellos la desnudaron. Le quitaron a sus hijos e hijas. A ella la mataron a espada y fue un dicho entre las mujeres por causa de la sentencia que le fue aplicada.
11 Oholibah saw what happened to her sister, but she became even worse than her in her wanting sex and practicing prostitution.
Su hermana Aholiba vio esto. Enloqueció de lujuria más que Ahola. Se prostituyó más que su hermana.
12 She also wanted to have sex with the Assyrians: their leaders and commanders, their splendidly-dressed soldiers—all of them handsome young men in the cavalry.
Se enamoró de los asirios, gobernadores y sátrapas, guerreros cubiertos con esplendidez, jinetes que montaban a caballo. Todos ellos eran jóvenes codiciables.
13 I saw that she had also made herself unclean—both sisters were doing the same thing.
Observé que ella se contaminó. Las dos tomaron el mismo camino.
14 However, Oholibah's prostitution was even worse. She saw pictures of Babylonian soldiers wearing bright red uniforms painted on the wall.
Aumentó sus prostituciones cuando vio hombres pintados en la pared, imágenes de caldeos pintadas con color,
15 They were wearing belts on their waists and large turbans on their heads. They all looked like Babylonian officers in Chaldea, the country where they were born.
atados con cinturones en la cintura, con turbantes de colores en sus cabezas, todos ellos con apariencia de sátrapas a la manera de los babilonios de Caldea, la tierra de su nacimiento.
16 When she saw the paintings of them, she wanted to have sex with them and sent messengers to them in Chaldea.
Cuando los vio, se enamoró de ellos y les envió mensajeros a Caldea.
17 The Babylonians came to her and her love bed, and made her unclean with their sexual desire. However, after she had been dishonored by them, she rejected them in disgust.
Los babilonios se unieron a ella en su lecho de amor y la contaminaron con su prostitución. Y cuando fue contaminada por ellos, su alma sintió repugnancia hacia ellos.
18 When Oholibah so blatantly prostituted herself, exposing herself naked, I turned away from her in disgust, just as I had done to her sister.
Así mostró sus prostituciones y descubrió su desnudez. Entonces me disgusté con ella, como mi alma repugnó a su hermana.
19 But she practiced even more prostitution, remembering how she'd been a prostitute in Egypt when she was young.
Pero ella multiplicó sus prostituciones. Recordó los días de su juventud en los cuales se prostituyó en la tierra de Egipto.
20 She wanted to have sex with her lovers who had genitals like donkeys and who ejaculated like stallions.
Se enardeció por sus amantes que tienen miembro viril como los burros y eyaculan como los caballos.
21 You went back to the indecent acts when you were young, when the Egyptians squeezed your nipples and fondled your young breasts.
Así añorabas la inmundicia de tu juventud cuando los egipcios estrujaron tus pechos y apretujaron tus pechos juveniles.
22 So Oholibah, this is what the Lord God says: I'm going to encourage your lovers to attack you, those you rejected in disgust. I will bring them to attack you from every direction:
Por tanto Aholiba, ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Ciertamente Yo excito contra ti a tus amantes a los cuales repugnaste. Los traigo contra ti de todas partes:
23 the Babylonians and all the Chaldeans, the men of Pekod, Shoa, and Koa, and all the Assyrians along with them—all handsome young men, leaders and commanders, chariot captains and important officers, all riding horses.
los de Babilonia y todos los caldeos, los de Pecod, Soa y Coa y todos los de Asiria con ellos, jóvenes codiciables, gobernadores y sátrapas, nobles y varones de renombre. Todos ellos que montan a caballo
24 They will attack you from the north, invading with a great army, chariots, and wagons. They will come with their shields and helmets and surround you. I will hand you over to them for punishment, and they will judge and punish you following their own laws.
vienen contra ti con carruajes, carretas y una multitud de pueblos. Se pondrán en formación contra ti con escudos oblongos de mano que cubren casi todo el cuerpo y yelmos. Yo les encargaré que te juzguen según sus normas.
25 I feel so strongly about what you've done that I will oppose you, and they will treat you very badly. They will cut off your noses and ears, and they will kill those of you who are left. They will take away your sons and daughters as prisoners, and those of you who are left will be destroyed by fire.
Pondré mi celo contra ti para que ellos te traten con furor. Te amputarán la nariz y las orejas. Tus sobrevivientes caerán a espada. Tomarán a tus hijos y a tus hijas. Tu remanente será consumido por el fuego.
26 They will tear off your clothes and take your beautiful jewelry.
Te despojarán de tus ropas y tus bellas joyas.
27 I'm going to put a stop to your immorality and prostitution, which started in Egypt. You won't think longingly about those times, and you'll forget all about Egypt.
Así detendré tu lujuria y tus prostituciones que trajiste de Egipto, de modo que no alces más tus ojos hacia ellos ni recuerdes a Egipto.
28 For this is what the Lord God says: Believe it when I say that I'm going to hand you over to the people you hate, the ones you rejected in disgust.
Porque ʼAdonay Yavé dice: En verdad te entrego en la mano de los que tú aborreciste, a quienes tu alma repugnó,
29 They will treat you with hatred. They will take away everything you've worked for, leaving you stark naked with nothing, so that so that the indecent acts of your prostitution will be exposed. Your immorality and prostitution
los cuales te tratarán con odio. Te quitarán todo el fruto de tu labor. Te dejarán desnuda y descubierta. Quedará al descubierto la inmundicia de tus fornicaciones, tu lujuria y prostitución.
30 is why all this has happened to you, because you acted as a prostitute with the nations and made yourself unclean by worshiping their idols.
Estas cosas te harán porque te prostituiste con las naciones, pues te contaminaste con sus ídolos.
31 Because you did what your sister did, I will give you her cup to drink.
Porque anduviste en el camino de tu hermana, Yo pondré su copa en tu mano.
32 This is what the Lord God says: You will drink from your sister's cup—a large, deep cup. You will be laughed at and insulted. You'll have to endure much of this.
ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Beberás la profunda y ancha copa de tu hermana. Las naciones se burlarán de ti y te escarnecerán.
33 It will make you drunk and full of grief because it's a cup of that brings horror and destruction, the cup your sister Samaria drank from.
De embriaguez y dolor estarás llena. Es la copa del horror y la desolación. Es la copa de tu hermana Samaria.
34 You will drink it all down, smash it to pieces on the ground, and tear at your breasts. This is what I have spoken, declares the Lord God.
La beberás hasta agotarla, lamerás el fondo, destrozarás sus tiestos y rasgarás tus pechos, porque Yo hablé, dice ʼAdonay Yavé.
35 In summary this is what the Lord God says: Because you have forgotten about me and have ignored me, you will have to experience the consequences of your immorality and prostitution.”
Por tanto ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Puesto que te olvidaste de Mí y me diste la espalda, lleva ahora sobre ti tu perversidad y tus prostituciones.
36 Then the Lord said to me: “Son of man, are you going to condemn Oholah and Oholibah? Expose the disgusting things they've done!
Y Yavé me dijo: Hijo de hombre, ¿no vas a juzgar tú a Ahola y a Aholiba? Entonces denuncia sus repugnantes prácticas.
37 For they have committed adultery, and they are guilty of murder. They have committed adultery with their idols, and have even offered their children, whom they had for me, as sacrifices to their idols.
Porque cometieron adulterio y hay sangre en sus manos. Cometieron adulterio con sus ídolos, y al pasarlos por el fuego mataron a sus hijos que me dieron a luz.
38 They also did this to me: On the very same day they both made my sanctuary unclean and violated my Sabbaths.
Me hicieron también esto: el mismo día contaminaron mi Santuario y profanaron mis sábados,
39 On very day that they killed their children for their idols, they went my sanctuary and made it unclean. Look at what they did right inside my Temple!
porque después de matar a sus hijos ante sus ídolos, ese mismo día entraron en mi Santuario para profanarlo. Eso fue lo que hicieron en mi Casa.
40 They even kept on sending messengers for men to come from far away. When the men arrived, you would get yourselves ready for them by bathing, doing your eye makeup, and putting in your jewelry.
Además enviaste mensaje a hombres que llegan de lejos. Les enviabas mensajeros y llegaban en seguida. Por amor a ellos te lavaste, pintaste tus ojos y te ataviaste con adornos.
41 You sat on an expensive couch, with my incense and my oil on a table placed in front of it.
Te recostabas en un diván espléndido, ante el cual había una mesa preparada. Sobre ella pusiste mi incienso y mi aceite.
42 The room was full of the noise of people partying. Drunk men were brought in from the desert along with some common people and they put bracelets on your wrists and beautiful crowns on your head.
Resonaba allí el rumor de una multitud despreocupada de hombres llevados del desierto, que pusieron brazaletes en los brazos de las mujeres y magníficas coronas en las cabezas de ellas.
43 Then I said about the old worn-out woman, ‘Now they can have her as a prostitute because that's what she is!’
Entonces dije con respecto a la que estaba desgastada por los adulterios: ¿Ahora cometerán prostitución con ella?
44 So they had sex with her like a prostitute. They had sex with Oholah and Oholibah, those immoral women.
Porque vienen a ella como el que va a una prostituta. Así entraban a estas depravadas mujeres, Ahola y Aholiba.
45 But men who believe in what's right will judge them and impose the punishment for committing commit adultery and murder, because they are adulterers and murderers.
Pero los justos las juzgarán según la ley de las adúlteras y según la ley de las mujeres sanguinarias, porque son adúlteras y hay sangre en sus manos.
46 This is what the Lord God says: Have a mob attack them! Make them terrified and rob them.
Por tanto ʼAdonay Yavé dice: Que se convoque una turba contra ellas, y sean entregadas al terror y al pillaje.
47 The mob will stone them and kill them with their swords, slaughtering their sons and daughters and burning down their houses.
La turba las lapidará y las cortará con sus espadas. Matarán a sus hijos y a sus hijas, y consumirán sus casas con fuego.
48 This is how I will put an end to immorality in the country, and all the women will be warned not to do what you have done.
Así se acabará la lujuria en la tierra. Todas las mujeres se corregirán con rigor de modo que no harán según las perversidades de ustedes.
49 They will punish you for your immorality, and you will have to experience the consequences of your idol worship. Then you will know that I am the Lord God.”
Pondrán sus perversidades sobre ustedes. Llevarán el castigo de su idolatría. Y sabrán que Yo soy ʼAdonay Yavé.
