< Ezekiel 14 >

1 Some elders of Israel arrived and sat down with me.
Hitah chun Israel sunga lamkai phabep kahenga ahungun, hitia amaho kakoma atou pet un,
2 A message from the Lord came to me, saying,
Kahenga Pakaija konin hiche thuhi ahung lhunge.
3 “Son of man, these men are worshiping idols in their minds even though they know this will lead them to sin. Why should I respond to their requests?
Mihem chapa, hiche lamkai hohin alungsung uva milim doi kisemthu akitun u ahi. Amahon chonsetna alhuh nadiu thilho chu akol chahkheh un ahi. Ipi jeh a athum nau chu kangai peh ding ham?
4 So tell them that this is what the Lord God says: When the people of Israel worship idols in their minds that will lead them to sin, and then come to consult the prophet, I the Lord will give them an answer appropriate to their many idols.
Hiche hi thaneitah Pakai thusei ahi tin seipeh in. Israel mipi ten alungthim sung uva milim doi kisemthu akitun soh kei u ahi. Chonsetna lha ahitauvin, chuti chun amaho themgao ho koma thu aga dong jiuve.
5 Like this I might have the people of Israel decide to recommit themselves to me. Right now, because of their idols, all of them treat me as their enemy.
Hijeh a chu Pakai keiman, amaho chu nasatah a amilim doi hou nauva akhol khom jat dungjui ja kahin donbut diu ahi. Hiche ho kidah dah um amilim doi hounauva konna kamite lungthim leh alungchang u kakhum khom theina ding uva kabol dingu ahi.
6 So tell the people of Israel that this is what the Lord God says: Repent! Give up worshiping your idols Stop all your disgusting practices.
Hiche jeh chun Israel mipite chu seipeh in, hiche hi thaneitah Pakai thusei ahi. Kisih unlang namilim doi hou nauva konin kihei mangun. Chuleh kidah dah um nachonset nau chu ngau vin.
7 When the people of Israel or foreigners living with them worship idols in their minds that will lead them to sin and then come to consult the prophet, I the Lord will answer them myself.
Kei Pakaiyin Israel insung mi hihen, gamdang mi hijongle, keima eipaija alungchang uva milim doi kitundoh a chonsetna lha ho, chule kei thuhil ngaicha a themgao ho koma che jouse agoma donbutna kapeh ding ahi.
8 I will oppose anyone who does this and make any example of them that others will talk about. I will remove them from among my people. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
Hitobanga chon miho douna a kahung kiheija amaho dinga tijat umtah vetsahna kapeh a, kamite a konna amaho hi kasuhmang jeng ding ahi. Hiteng chule nangin keihi Pakai kahi ti nahin hetdoh ding ahi.
9 But if the prophet is deceived into giving a message, it was I the Lord who deceived him to do this. I will still reach out and destroy that prophet from my people Israel.
Chuleh ijemtia themgaopa thusei dinga akijou klhep lhah khah tah a ahileh, hiche themgao pachu keima Pakaiyin kajou lhep jeh hiding ahi. Keiman hiche themgao pa chunga chu kakhut tum kahin lap sanga, Israel mite lah a konna amaho chu kasat lhah ding ahi.
10 They will be responsible for the punishment they receive, as will those who believe in these prophets will receive the same punishment.
Themgao lhem ho leh amaho lamkai ngaichaho jouse chu achonset nau jeh a talen kapeh soh kei diu ahi.
11 This is so that the people of Israel won't abandon me anymore and won't make themselves unclean with all their sins. Then they will be my people and I will be their God, declares the Lord God.”
Hitia hi Israel mipi te keija konna vahmang kit talou hel diu ahi. Amaho leh amaho chonsetna a kisuboh kit talou diu ahi. Amaho chu kamite hiuva chuleh keima a Pathen u kahi ding ahi, tia Pakai kitipa keiman kaseidoh ahi.
12 A message from the Lord came to me again, saying,
Chutah chun hiche thusei hi kahenga Pakaija kon in ahung lhunge.
13 “Son of man, if a people in a country sin against me by being unfaithful to me, then I will act against them by cutting off their food supply, so they experience famine, with no food for people or animals.
Mihem chapa, gamsung khat a mite chu kei dounan hung chonse kha ta leu, keiman amaho suhchipna dinga kakhut kahin lap a aneh hol nau lampi kasuhtang peh a, mihem leh gancha agoma suhmang nadinga kel kalhah sah ding ahi.
14 Even if Noah, Daniel, and Job, these three men, were present their good lives would only save themselves, declares the Lord God.
Noah, Daniel chule Job ho jeng jong achonphat nauvin midang khat jong ahuhhing jou pouvin, amavang amaho changseh bou akihuhhing jou uve, tin thaneitah Pakaiyin aseije.
15 I could send wild animals rampaging through the country, so they would leave it uninhabited and desolate, a place no one would travel through for fear of such animals.
Ahilouleh keiman gamsa ho chu agamsunga kadel khum sah a miho chu athauva chuleh agam chu mi chen louna gam aso uva, chuleh koiman ajot le ngamlou ding ahitai. Ajotpa le ho dinga kichat tijat um kahisah thei ahi.
16 As I live, declares the Lord God, even if these three men were present, they couldn't save their own sons or daughters. They would only save themselves, but the land would be left desolate.
Adihtah mong mongin, keiman kahin laisen pasal thum ana umkhom kha tajong leu achapa teu leh achanu teu huhdoh jou pouvintin, amaho changseh bou kihuhdoh uva, amavang agamsung uhi ahomkeu kiso ding ahi.
17 I could bring war to that country and say, ‘Have a sword cut through it,’ so that I destroy both people and animals.
Ahilouleh agamsung douna a gal kahin pohlut khuma chule mihem leh ganchaho sumang dinga melma sepaite kahin sollut khum thei ahi.

Ahiloule keiman kalungsatna hi agamsunga natna hi kasunlhah khuma chuleh hiche natna chun mihem leh gancha kibanga athagam sah thei ahi.
20 As I live, declares the Lord God, even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were present, they couldn't save their sons or daughters. Their good lives would only save themselves.

21 This is what the Lord God says: It will be so much worse when I send my four severe judgments against Jerusalem—war, famine, wild animals, and disease, so that both people and animals are killed!
Tun thaneipen Pakai thusei chu hiche hi ahi. Jerusalem chunga hiche engbolna hoise tah tah liho hung lhung ding hi ichan a tijat um hiding hitam? Gala kisat a kel lha, gamsaho, chuleh natna hise amanu amite leh aganchate jouse sumang dinga hung lhung ding ahi tin aseije.
22 Even so a few of them will survive, some sons and daughters who will be taken captive. They will be brought to you in Babylon, and when you realize what they did and how they acted, you will understand why I had to bring such a disaster down on Jerusalem—everything I did to it.
Ahijeng vang'in ahing doh umnalai ding ahin, amaho chun Babylon langa delmanga umdinga nangma nung ahin jui diu ahi. Itobang tah a migilou hiuvem? ti nangin namit tah a nahin mu ding, hiteng chule keiman Jerusalema ipi kabol ding ham ti nahet doh thei ding ahi.
23 Realizing what they did and how they acted will help you to see that I had good reasons to do everything I did to Jerusalem, declares the Lord God.”
