< Ezekiel 11 >
1 Then the Spirit picked me up and took me to the eastern entrance of the Lord's Temple. Twenty-five men were gathered there at the entrance. I recognized among them Jaazaniah son of Azzur and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.
Ẹ̀mí sì gbé mi sókè, ó mú mi lọ sí ẹnu-ọ̀nà ilé Olúwa èyí tó dojúkọ ìlà-oòrùn. Ní àbáwọlé ẹnu-ọ̀nà yìí ni àwọn ọkùnrin mẹ́ẹ̀ẹ́dọ́gbọ̀n wá, mo rí Jaaṣaniah ọmọ Assuri àti Pelatiah ọmọ Benaiah, tí wọ́n jẹ́ ìjòyè àwọn ènìyàn.
2 The Lord told me, “Son of man, it's these men who are making evil plans and giving bad advice to the people in this city.
Olúwa sì sọ fún mi pé, “Ọmọ ènìyàn, àwọn ọkùnrin yìí ló ń pète ibi, wọ́n sì ń gbé ìmọ̀ràn búburú kalẹ̀ nínú ìlú.
3 They're saying, ‘Is this the time for us to be building houses? The city is the cooking pot, and we are the meat inside it.’
Wọ́n ní, ‘Kò ha tí ì tó àsìkò láti kọ́lé? Ìlú yìí ni ìkòkò ìdáná, àwa sì ni ẹran’.
4 So prophesy against them. Prophesy, son of man!”
Nítorí náà sọtẹ́lẹ̀ nípa wọn; ọmọ ènìyàn, sọtẹ́lẹ̀.”
5 The Spirit of the Lord came upon me and told me to say: This is what the Lord says: “People of Israel, that's what you're saying! I know what you're thinking inside!
Ẹ̀mí Olúwa sì bà lé mi, ó sì wí pé, “Sọ̀rọ̀!” Báyìí ni Olúwa wí, ohun tí ẹ ń sọ nìyìí, ilé Israẹli, mo mọ ohun tó wà lọ́kàn yín.
6 You murder more and more people in this city. You've filled its streets with the dead!
Ẹ̀yin ti sọ òkú yín di púpọ̀ nínú ìlú yìí, òkú sì ti kún gbogbo ìgboro rẹ̀.
7 So this is what the Lord God says: Those you've killed in this city are the meat, and the city is the pot; but I'm going to take you out of it.
“Torí náà, báyìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí, àwọn òkú tí ẹ fọn sílẹ̀ sí àárín yín ni ẹran, ìlú yìí sì ni ìkòkò ìdáná ṣùgbọ́n èmi yóò le yín jáde níbẹ̀.
8 You're afraid of being killed by the sword, so I will bring invaders with swords to attack you, declares the Lord God.
Ẹ bẹ̀rù idà, èmi yóò sì mú idà wá sórí yín, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí.
9 I'm going to take you out of the city and hand you over to foreigners, and I'm going to carry out my sentence against you.
Èmi yóò lé yín jáde kúrò ní ìlú yìí, èmi yóò sì fà yín lé àjèjì lọ́wọ́, èmi yóò sì mú ìdájọ́ ṣẹ lé yín lórí.
10 You will be killed by the sword, and I will punish you right up to the borders of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
Nípa idà ni ẹ̀yin yóò ṣubú, èmi yóò sì ṣe ìdájọ́ yín ní àwọn ààlà ìlú Israẹli. Nígbà náà ni ẹ̀yin yóò mọ̀ pé, Èmi ni Olúwa.
11 The city won't be like a pot for you, and you won't be the meat inside it either. I will punish you right up to the borders of Israel.
Ìlú yìí kò ní i jẹ́ ìkòkò ìdáná, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ẹ̀yin náà kò sì ní jẹ́ ẹran nínú rẹ̀, Èmi yóò ṣe ìdájọ́ yín ní àwọn ààlà ìlú Israẹli.
12 Then you will know that I am the Lord. For you didn't follow my rules and you didn't keep my laws. Instead you kept the laws of the nations around you.”
Ẹ̀yin yóò sì mọ̀ pé, Èmi ni Olúwa, nítorí pé ẹ̀yin kò tẹ̀lé àṣẹ mi ẹ̀yin kò sì pa òfin mi mọ́, ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀yin ti hùwà gẹ́gẹ́ bí àwọn aláìgbàgbọ́ orílẹ̀-èdè tó yí yín ká.”
13 While I was prophesying, Pelatiah son of Benaiah died. I fell facedown on the ground and shouted loudly, “Lord God, are you going to completely destroy what's left of the people of Israel?”
14 A message from Lord came to me, saying,
Ọ̀rọ̀ Olúwa tún tọ̀ mí wá wí pé,
15 “Son of man, your brothers, including your relatives, your fellow exiles, and all the other Israelites, are those the people of Jerusalem were referring to when they said, ‘They are far away from the Lord. This country was given to us and we are to own it.’
“Ọmọ ènìyàn, àwọn arákùnrin rẹ, àní àwọn ará rẹ, àwọn ọkùnrin nínú ìbátan rẹ, àti gbogbo ilé Israẹli pátápátá, ni àwọn ará Jerusalẹmu ti wí fún pé, ‘Ẹ jìnnà sí Olúwa, àwa ni a fi ilẹ̀ yìí fún yín ní ìní.’
16 So tell them that this is what the Lord God says: Even though I sent them far away to live among the foreign nations, scattering them among the different countries, I have been taking care of them for a while in the countries where they went.
“Nítorí náà, sọ fún àwọn tó wà ní ìgbèkùn pé, ‘Báyìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí, bó tilẹ̀ jẹ́ pé mo ti fọ́n wọn káàkiri orílẹ̀-èdè, síbẹ̀ fún ìgbà díẹ̀, èmi yóò jẹ́ ibi mímọ́ fún wọn níbi tí wọ́n lọ.’
17 Tell them that this is what the Lord God says: I'm going to gather you from the other nations and bring you back from the countries where you've been scattered, and I will return the country of Israel to you.
“Nítorí náà, wí pé, ‘Báyìí ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí, Èmi yóò kó wọn jọ kúrò láàrín àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè tí mo fọ́n wọn ká sí, Èmi yóò sì fún wọn ní ilẹ̀ Israẹli padà.’
18 When they come back, they are going to get rid of all its offensive idols and disgusting practices from the country.
“Wọn yóò padà síbẹ̀, wọn yóò sì mú gbogbo àwòrán ìríra rẹ̀ àti ìbọ̀rìṣà rẹ̀ kúrò.
19 I will give them single-minded commitment and a whole new spirit. I will take away their hard-hearted attitude and replace it with one that is loving.
Èmi yóò fún wọn ní ọ̀kankan; èmi yóò sì fi ẹ̀mí tuntun sínú wọn, Èmi yóò mú ọkàn òkúta kúrò lára wọn, èmi yóò sì fún wọn ní ọkàn tó rọ̀ bí ara ẹran.
20 This way they can follow my rules, keep my regulations, and do what I say. They will be my people, and I will be their God.
Kí wọn le tẹ̀lé àṣẹ mi, kí wọn sì le pa òfin mi mọ́. Wọ́n yóò jẹ́ ènìyàn mi, Èmi náà yóò sì jẹ́ Ọlọ́run wọn.
21 But for those who still choose to worship offensive idols and engage in disgusting practices, I will let them experience the consequences of their own actions, declares the Lord God.”
Ṣùgbọ́n fún àwọn tí wọ́n ń fi gbogbo ọkàn wọn sin àwọn àwòrán ìríra àti àwọn òrìṣà, Èmi yóò mú ẹ̀san ohun tí wọ́n ṣe wá sí orí wọn bẹ́ẹ̀ ni Olúwa Olódùmarè wí.”
22 Then the cherubim opened their wings and took off, with the wheels alongside them, and with the glory of the God of Israel above them.
Àwọn kérúbù sì gbé ìyẹ́ wọn sókè pẹ̀lú kẹ̀kẹ́ lẹ́gbẹ̀ẹ́ wọn, ògo Ọlọ́run Israẹli sì wà lókè orí wọn.
23 The glory of the Lord rose from inside the city and went over to the mountain to the east of the city.
Ògo Olúwa sì gòkè lọ kúrò láàrín ìlú, ó sì dúró lórí òkè tó wà ní ìlà-oòrùn ìlú náà.
24 In the vision given to me by the Spirit of God, the Spirit picked me up and carried me back to Babylonia to where the exiles were. After the vision left me,
Lẹ́yìn náà, Ẹ̀mí gbé mi sókè, ó sì mú mi wá sí Kaldea lójú ìran, nípa ti Ẹ̀mí Ọlọ́run sí ọ̀dọ̀ àwọn ti ìgbèkùn. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ìran tí mo rí lọ kúrò ní ọ̀dọ̀ mi,
25 I explained to the exiles everything the Lord had shown me.
mo sì sọ gbogbo ohun tí Olúwa fihàn mí fún àwọn tó wà ní ìgbèkùn.
