< Ezekiel 11 >

1 Then the Spirit picked me up and took me to the eastern entrance of the Lord's Temple. Twenty-five men were gathered there at the entrance. I recognized among them Jaazaniah son of Azzur and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.
Afei, honhom no pagyaa me de me baa Awurade efie ɛpono a ani kyerɛ apueeɛ fam no ano. Na mmarima aduonu enum wɔ hɔ, na mehunuu Asur babarima Yaasania ne Benaia babarima Pelatia a wɔyɛ nnipa no ntuanofoɔ.
2 The Lord told me, “Son of man, it's these men who are making evil plans and giving bad advice to the people in this city.
Awurade ka kyerɛɛ me sɛ, “Onipa ba, yeinom ne mmarima a wɔrebɔ pɔ bɔne na wɔtu fo bɔne wɔ kuropɔn yi mu.
3 They're saying, ‘Is this the time for us to be building houses? The city is the cooking pot, and we are the meat inside it.’
Wɔka sɛ, ‘Ɛberɛ a wɔde sisi afie nnuru so anaa? Kuropɔn no ayɛ sɛ dadesɛn, ɛnna yɛayɛ ɛnam a dadesɛn no bɔ yɛn ho ban.’
4 So prophesy against them. Prophesy, son of man!”
Ɛno enti hyɛ nkɔm tia wɔn. Hyɛ nkɔm onipa ba.”
5 The Spirit of the Lord came upon me and told me to say: This is what the Lord says: “People of Israel, that's what you're saying! I know what you're thinking inside!
Afei, Awurade Honhom baa me so na ɔka kyerɛɛ me sɛ menka nkyerɛ Israelfoɔ sɛ, “Yei ne deɛ Awurade seɛ. Menim deɛ moreka, ɛfiri sɛ menim nsusuiɛ a ɛwɔ mo adwene mu.
6 You murder more and more people in this city. You've filled its streets with the dead!
Moakunkum nnipa bebree wɔ kuropɔn yi mu, na mode afunu ahyɛ ne mmɔntene so ma.
7 So this is what the Lord God says: Those you've killed in this city are the meat, and the city is the pot; but I'm going to take you out of it.
“Ɛno enti, yei ne deɛ Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: Kuro no yɛ dadesɛn deɛ, nanso emu ɛnam no yɛ nnipa a mode atirimuɔden akunkum wɔn apete hɔ. Ɛno enti, mɛpam mo afiri mu.
8 You're afraid of being killed by the sword, so I will bring invaders with swords to attack you, declares the Lord God.
Mosuro akofena, na ɛno ara na mede bɛba mo so, sei na Awurade seɛ.
9 I'm going to take you out of the city and hand you over to foreigners, and I'm going to carry out my sentence against you.
Mɛpam mo afiri kuropɔn no mu na mede mo ahyɛ ananafoɔ nsa, na matwe mo aso.
10 You will be killed by the sword, and I will punish you right up to the borders of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
Mobɛtotɔ akofena ano, na mɛbu mu atɛn wɔ Israel asase so. Afei, mobɛhunu sɛ mene Awurade no.
11 The city won't be like a pot for you, and you won't be the meat inside it either. I will punish you right up to the borders of Israel.
Saa kuropɔn yi remmɔ mo ho ban sɛdeɛ dadesɛn bɔ ɛnam a ɛwɔ mu no ho ban; Mɛbu mo atɛn wɔ Israel asase so.
12 Then you will know that I am the Lord. For you didn't follow my rules and you didn't keep my laws. Instead you kept the laws of the nations around you.”
Na mobɛhunu sɛ mene Awurade no, ɛfiri sɛ, moanni mʼahyɛdeɛ so, moapo me mmara, na deɛ aman a atwa mo ahyia no yɛ no na mo nso moyɛ.”
13 While I was prophesying, Pelatiah son of Benaiah died. I fell facedown on the ground and shouted loudly, “Lord God, are you going to completely destroy what's left of the people of Israel?”
Afei ɛberɛ a megu rehyɛ nkɔm no, Benaia babarima Pelatia wuiɛ. Na mede mʼanim butuu fam suu denden sɛ, “Aa Otumfoɔ Awurade, wobɛtɔre Israel nkaeɛfoɔ yi ase koraa anaa?”
14 A message from Lord came to me, saying,
Awurade asɛm baa me nkyɛn sɛ,
15 “Son of man, your brothers, including your relatives, your fellow exiles, and all the other Israelites, are those the people of Jerusalem were referring to when they said, ‘They are far away from the Lord. This country was given to us and we are to own it.’
“Onipa ba, wo nua mmarimma, wɔn a wo ne wɔn yɛ mogya baako ne Israel efie nyinaa, nnipa a wɔwɔ Yerusalem kasa fa wɔn ho sɛ, ‘Saa nkurɔfoɔ a wɔkɔɔ nnommum no ne Awurade ntam ɛkwan ware, ɛno enti na wɔde wɔn asase yi ama yɛn sɛ yɛn agyapadeɛ.’”
16 So tell them that this is what the Lord God says: Even though I sent them far away to live among the foreign nations, scattering them among the different countries, I have been taking care of them for a while in the countries where they went.
“Ɛno enti ka sɛ, ‘Sei na Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: Ɛwom sɛ mede wɔn kɔɔ akyirikyiri wɔ amanaman mu, hwetee wɔn guu nsase so deɛ, nanso berɛ tiawa bi mu no, meyɛɛ wɔn kronkronbea wɔ nsase a na wɔwɔ soɔ no so.’
17 Tell them that this is what the Lord God says: I'm going to gather you from the other nations and bring you back from the countries where you've been scattered, and I will return the country of Israel to you.
“Enti ka kyerɛ wɔn sɛ, ‘Sei na Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ: Mɛboaboa mo ano afiri amanaman no ne nsase a mehwetee mo guu soɔ no asane aba, na mede Israel asase bɛsane ama mo.’
18 When they come back, they are going to get rid of all its offensive idols and disgusting practices from the country.
“Wɔbɛsane aba so na wɔayiyi nsɛsodeɛ tantane ne ahoni a ɛyɛ akyiwadeɛ no nyinaa.
19 I will give them single-minded commitment and a whole new spirit. I will take away their hard-hearted attitude and replace it with one that is loving.
Mɛma wɔn akoma korɔ na mede honhom foforɔ ahyɛ wɔn mu; mɛyi wɔn akomaden no na mama wɔn akoma a ɛyɛ mmrɛ.
20 This way they can follow my rules, keep my regulations, and do what I say. They will be my people, and I will be their God.
Afei wɔbɛdi mʼahyɛdeɛ so na wɔahwɛ akora me mmara yie. Wɔbɛyɛ me nkurɔfoɔ, na mayɛ wɔn Onyankopɔn.
21 But for those who still choose to worship offensive idols and engage in disgusting practices, I will let them experience the consequences of their own actions, declares the Lord God.”
Nanso wɔn a wɔde wɔn akoma ama nsɛsodeɛ tantane ne ahoni a ɛyɛ akyiwadeɛ no deɛ, mɛma deɛ wɔayɛ no abɔ wɔn tiri so, sei na Otumfoɔ Awurade seɛ.”
22 Then the cherubim opened their wings and took off, with the wheels alongside them, and with the glory of the God of Israel above them.
Afei, Kerubim no ne wɔn ntwahonan trɛtrɛɛ wɔn ntaban mu, na Israel Onyankopɔn animuonyam konkɔnn wɔn so.
23 The glory of the Lord rose from inside the city and went over to the mountain to the east of the city.
Awurade animuonyam pagyaa ne ho firii kuropɔn no mu kɔgyinaa bepɔ a ɛwɔ apueeɛ fam no atifi.
24 In the vision given to me by the Spirit of God, the Spirit picked me up and carried me back to Babylonia to where the exiles were. After the vision left me,
Honhom no pagyaa me de me baa atukɔfoɔ a wɔwɔ Babilonia no nkyɛn wɔ anisoadehunu a Onyankopɔn Honhom maa me no mu. Afei anisoadeɛ a mehunuiɛ no firii me so kɔɔ soro.
25 I explained to the exiles everything the Lord had shown me.
Na mekaa biribiara a Awurade yi kyerɛɛ me no kyerɛɛ atukɔfoɔ no.
