< Ezekiel 11 >
1 Then the Spirit picked me up and took me to the eastern entrance of the Lord's Temple. Twenty-five men were gathered there at the entrance. I recognized among them Jaazaniah son of Azzur and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.
Mgbe ahụ, Mmụọ nke Chineke buliri m mee ka m bịaruo nʼọnụ ụzọ ama ụlọ Onyenwe anyị, nke dị nʼakụkụ ọwụwa anyanwụ. Nʼebe ahụ, nʼoghere nke ọnụ ụzọ ama ahụ, ahụrụ m iri mmadụ abụọ na ise. Ahụkwara m nʼetiti ha, Jaazanaya nwa Azoa na Pelataya nwa Benaya, bụ ndịisi ndị Izrel.
2 The Lord told me, “Son of man, it's these men who are making evil plans and giving bad advice to the people in this city.
Ọ sịrị m, “Nwa nke mmadụ, ndị a bụ ndị ikom na-agba izu ajọ ihe, na-enyekwa ndụmọdụ ọjọọ niile a na-enye nʼobodo a.
3 They're saying, ‘Is this the time for us to be building houses? The city is the cooking pot, and we are the meat inside it.’
Ha na-asị, ‘Oge a ga-ewuzi ụlọ ndị ahụ ọ dịghị nso? Obodo a bụ ite igwe, anyị onwe anyị bụkwa anụ dị nʼime ya.’
4 So prophesy against them. Prophesy, son of man!”
Nʼihi ya, nwa nke mmadụ, buo amụma megide ha.”
5 The Spirit of the Lord came upon me and told me to say: This is what the Lord says: “People of Israel, that's what you're saying! I know what you're thinking inside!
Mgbe ahụ, Mmụọ nke Onyenwe anyị bịakwasịrị m sị m kwuo, “Otu a ka Onyenwe anyị sịrị: otu a ka unu na-ekwukwa, unu ndị ndu ụlọ Izrel, ma amaara m ihe unu bụ nʼuche.
6 You murder more and more people in this city. You've filled its streets with the dead!
Unu egbuola ọtụtụ mmadụ nʼime obodo a, meekwa ka okporoụzọ ya jupụta nʼozu ndị nwụrụ anwụ.
7 So this is what the Lord God says: Those you've killed in this city are the meat, and the city is the pot; but I'm going to take you out of it.
“Nʼihi ya ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị ji sị, ozu ndị ahụ niile tọgbọ nʼokporoụzọ obodo unu bụ anụ ndị ahụ unu gburu egbu, obodo a bụkwa ite. Ma aga m eme ka unu site nʼime ya pụta.
8 You're afraid of being killed by the sword, so I will bring invaders with swords to attack you, declares the Lord God.
Mma agha ahụ unu na-atụ egwu ya ka m ga-eme ka ọ bịakwasị unu. Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwubiri ya.
9 I'm going to take you out of the city and hand you over to foreigners, and I'm going to carry out my sentence against you.
Aga m esitekwa nʼetiti ya kpọpụta unu, were unu nyefee nʼaka ndị mba ọzọ, ma kpekwa unu ikpe.
10 You will be killed by the sword, and I will punish you right up to the borders of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
Unu ga-ada site na mma agha. Ọ bụ nʼoke ala Izrel niile ka m ga-anọ kpee unu ikpe. Mgbe ahụ, unu ga-amata na mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị.
11 The city won't be like a pot for you, and you won't be the meat inside it either. I will punish you right up to the borders of Israel.
E, obodo a agaghị abụrụ unu ite. Unu agaghị anọkwa nʼime ya dịka anụ. Aga m ekpe unu ikpe nʼoke ala Izrel niile.
12 Then you will know that I am the Lord. For you didn't follow my rules and you didn't keep my laws. Instead you kept the laws of the nations around you.”
Mgbe ahụ, unu ga-amata na mụ onwe m bụ Onyenwe anyị. Nʼihi na unu bụ ndị na-enupu isi site nʼiwu m na ụkpụrụ m. Ma unu na-agbaso nzọ ụkwụ nke mba ndị ahụ niile gbara unu gburugburu.”
13 While I was prophesying, Pelatiah son of Benaiah died. I fell facedown on the ground and shouted loudly, “Lord God, are you going to completely destroy what's left of the people of Israel?”
Mgbe m ka nọ na-ebu amụma, Pelataya nwa Benaya nwụrụ. Mụ onwe m kpuo ihu m nʼala kwaa akwa sị, “Ewoo, Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị ị ga-ebibi ndị niile fọdụrụ nʼala Izrel?”
14 A message from Lord came to me, saying,
Okwu Onyenwe anyị ruru m ntị, sị,
15 “Son of man, your brothers, including your relatives, your fellow exiles, and all the other Israelites, are those the people of Jerusalem were referring to when they said, ‘They are far away from the Lord. This country was given to us and we are to own it.’
“Nwa nke mmadụ, ụmụ nke nna gị, ọ bụladị ụmụnna gị, na ndị mgbapụta gị na ezinaụlọ Izrel niile, ọ bụ ha ka ndị bi na Jerusalem sịrị, ‘Ha esitela nʼebe Onyenwe anyị nọ gaa ebe dị anya, ọ bụkwa anyị ka enyere ala nke a ka ọ bụrụ ihe nnweta anyị,’
16 So tell them that this is what the Lord God says: Even though I sent them far away to live among the foreign nations, scattering them among the different countries, I have been taking care of them for a while in the countries where they went.
“Nʼihi nke a, kwuo, ‘Otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị na-asị, Nʼagbanyeghị na m zipụrụ ha gaa ebe dị anya nʼetiti mba dị iche iche, chụsakwaa ha nʼetiti ala dị iche iche, ma nwa mgbe nta, a bụụrụ m ha ebe dị nsọ nʼala niile ahụ bụ ebe ha gara.’
17 Tell them that this is what the Lord God says: I'm going to gather you from the other nations and bring you back from the countries where you've been scattered, and I will return the country of Israel to you.
“Ya mere kwuo, ‘Nke a bụ ihe Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị na-ekwu: Aga m achịkọtakwa unu ọnụ ọzọ, site nʼobodo niile bụ ebe unu gbasara, nyeghachikwa unu ala Izrel.’
18 When they come back, they are going to get rid of all its offensive idols and disgusting practices from the country.
“Ha ga-alọghachi nʼebe ahụ, sitekwa nʼetiti ya wezuga oyiyi ihe arụ niile, na arụsị niile bụkwa ihe arụ.
19 I will give them single-minded commitment and a whole new spirit. I will take away their hard-hearted attitude and replace it with one that is loving.
Aga m enyekwa ha otu obi, tinyekwa mmụọ ọhụrụ nʼime ha. Aga m ewepụ site nʼime ha obi kpọrọ nkụ ma nye ha obi nke anụ ahụ.
20 This way they can follow my rules, keep my regulations, and do what I say. They will be my people, and I will be their God.
Nke a ga-eme ka ha soro ụkpụrụ m na iwu m niile, leziekwa anya idebe ha. Ha ga-abụ ndị nke m, mụ onwe m ga-abụkwa Chineke ha.
21 But for those who still choose to worship offensive idols and engage in disgusting practices, I will let them experience the consequences of their own actions, declares the Lord God.”
Ma banyere ndị ahụ obi ha na-agbaso ihe ọjọọ na ihe niile rụrụ arụ, mmehie ha ka m ga-atụkwasị nʼisi ha; otu a ka Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị kwubiri ya.”
22 Then the cherubim opened their wings and took off, with the wheels alongside them, and with the glory of the God of Israel above them.
Mgbe ahụ, cherubim ndị ahụ weliri nku ha elu, wịịlu ndị ahụ dịkwa nʼakụkụ ha ma ebube nke Chineke nke Izrel guzokwa nʼelu ha.
23 The glory of the Lord rose from inside the city and went over to the mountain to the east of the city.
Ebube Onyenwe anyị sitere nʼetiti obodo ahụ rigoo, guzo nʼelu ugwu, nʼakụkụ ọwụwa anyanwụ.
24 In the vision given to me by the Spirit of God, the Spirit picked me up and carried me back to Babylonia to where the exiles were. After the vision left me,
Nʼime ọhụ, Mmụọ nke Chineke buliri m elu bubata m na Kaldịa, ebe ndị a dọkpụụrụ gaa mba ọzọ nọ. Otu a ka ọhụ m hụrụ si hapụ m.
25 I explained to the exiles everything the Lord had shown me.
Agwakwara m ndị niile ahụ e mere ka ha jee biri na mba ọzọ ihe niile nke Onyenwe anyị gosiri m.
