< Exodus 25 >

1 The Lord told Moses,
And the Lord said to Moses,
2 “Instruct the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive my offering from everyone who willingly wants to give.
Say to the children of Israel that they are to make me an offering; from every man who has the impulse in his heart take an offering for me.
3 These are the items you are to accept from them as contributions: gold, silver, and bronze;
And this is the offering you are to take from them: gold and silver and brass;
4 blue, purple, and crimson thread; finely-spun linen and goat hair;
And blue and purple and red, and the best linen, and goats' hair;
5 ram skins that have been tanned, and fine leather; acacia wood;
And sheepskins coloured red, and leather, and hard wood;
6 olive oil for the lamps; spices for the olive oil used in anointing and for the fragrant incense;
Oil for the light, spices for the sweet-smelling oil, sweet perfumes for burning;
7 and onyx stones and other gemstones to be used in making the ephod and breastpiece.
Beryls and stones of value to be put on the ephod and on the priest's bag.
8 They are to make me a sanctuary so I can live among them.
And let them make me a holy place, so that I may be ever present among them.
9 You must make the Tabernacle and all its furnishings according to design I'm going to show you.
Make the House and everything in it from the designs which I will give you.
10 They are to make an Ark of acacia wood that measures two and a half cubits long by a cubit and a half wide by one and a half cubits high.
And they are to make an ark of hard wood; two and a half cubits long, and a cubit and a half wide and high.
11 Cover it with pure gold on the inside and the outside, and make a gold trim to go around it.
It is to be plated inside and out with the best gold, with an edge of gold all round it
12 Cast four gold rings and attach them to its four feet, two on one side and two on the other.
And make four rings of gold for it, to be fixed on its four feet, two rings on one side of it and two on the other.
13 Make poles of acacia wood and cover them with gold.
And make rods of the same wood, plating them with gold.
14 Place the poles into the rings on the sides of the Ark, so it can be carried.
And put the rods through the rings at the sides of the ark, for lifting it.
15 The poles are to stay in the rings of the Ark; don't take them out.
The rods are to be kept in the rings, and never taken out.
16 Place inside the Ark the Testimony which I'm going to give you.
Inside the ark you are to put the record which I will give you.
17 You are to make an atonement cover of pure gold, two and a half cubits long by a cubit and a half wide.
And you are to make a cover of the best gold, two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.
18 Make two cherubim of hammered gold for the ends of the atonement cover,
And at the two ends of the cover you are to make two winged ones of hammered gold,
19 and put one cherub on each end. All of this is to be made from one piece of gold.
One at one end and one at the other; the winged ones are to be part of the cover.
20 The cherubim are to be designed with spread wings pointing upward, covering the atonement cover. The cherubim are to be placed facing each another, looking down towards the atonement cover.
And their wings are to be outstretched over the cover, and the winged ones are to be opposite one another, facing the cover.
21 Place the atonement cover on top of the Ark, and put the Testimony that I'm going to give you inside the Ark.
And put the cover over the ark, and in the ark the record which I will give you.
22 I will meet with you there as arranged above the atonement cover, between the two cherubim that stand over the Ark of the Testimony, and I will talk with you about all the commands I will give the Israelites.
And there, between the two winged ones on the cover of the ark, I will come to you, face to face, and make clear to you all the orders I have to give you for the children of Israel.
23 Then you are to make a table of acacia wood two cubits long by a cubit wide by a cubit and a half high.
And you are to make a table of the same wood, two cubits long, a cubit wide and a cubit and a half high,
24 Cover it with pure gold and make a gold trim to go around it.
Plated with the best gold, with a gold edge all round it;
25 Make a border around it the width of a hand and put a gold trim on the border.
And make a frame all round it, as wide as a man's hand, with a gold edge to the frame.
26 Make four gold rings for the table and attach them to the four corners of the table by the legs.
And make four gold rings and put them at the four angles, on the four feet of the table;
27 The rings are to be close to the border to hold the poles used to carry the table.
The rings are to be fixed under the frame to take the rods with which the table is to be lifted.
28 Make the poles of acacia wood for carrying the table and cover them with gold.
Make rods of the same wood, plated with gold, for lifting the table.
29 Make plates and dishes for the table, as well as pitchers and bowls for pouring out drink offerings. Make all of them out of pure gold.
And make the table-vessels, the spoons and the cups and the basins for liquids, all of the best gold.
30 Place the Bread of the Presence on the table so it is always in my presence.
And on the table at all times you are to keep my holy bread.
31 Make a lampstand of pure, hammered gold. The whole of it is to be made of one piece—its base, shaft, cups, buds, and flowers.
And you are to make a support for lights, of the best gold; its base and its pillar are to be of hammered gold; its cups, its buds, and its flowers are to be made of the same metal.
32 It is to have six branches coming out of the sides of the lampstand, three on each side.
It is to have six branches coming out from its sides; three branches from one side and three from the other.
33 Have three cups shaped like almond flowers on the first branch, each with buds and petals, three on the next branch. Each of six branches that come out will have three cups shaped like almond flowers, all complete with buds and petals.
Every branch having three cups made like almond flowers, every cup with a bud and a flower, on all the branches.
34 On the main shaft of the lampstand make four cups shaped like almond flowers, complete with buds and petals.
And on the pillar, four cups like almond flowers, every one with its bud and its flower:
35 On the six branches that come out from the lampstand, place a bud under the first pair of branches, a bud under the second pair, and a bud under the third pair.
And under every two branches a bud, made with the branch, for all the six branches of it.
36 The buds and branches are to be made with the lampstand as one piece, hammered out of pure gold.
The buds and the branches are to be made of the same metal; all together one complete work of hammered gold.
37 Make seven lamps and place them on the lampstand so they can light up the area in front of it.
Then you are to make its seven vessels for the lights, putting them in their place so that they give light in front of it.
38 The wick tongs and their trays are to be made of pure gold.
And the instruments and trays for use with it are all to be of the best gold.
39 The lampstand and all these utensils will require a talent of pure gold.
A talent of gold will be needed for it, with all these vessels.
40 Be sure to make everything according to the design you were shown on the mountain.”
And see that you make them from the design which you saw on the mountain.
