Exodus 23
1 “You must not spread stories that are lies. You must not help bad people by giving evidence that's malicious.
௧“அபாண்டமான சொல்லை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாதே; கொடுமையுள்ள சாட்சிக்காரனாக இருக்க ஆகாதவனோடு சேராதே.
2 Don't follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you give evidence in a lawsuit, don't corrupt justice by siding with the majority.
௨தீமைசெய்ய அநேகம்பேர்களின் வழியைப் பின்பற்றாதே; வழக்கிலே நியாயத்தைப் புரட்ட கூட்டத்தின் பக்கம் சாய்ந்து, தீர்ப்பு சொல்லாதே.
3 Don't show favoritism to poor people in their legal cases either.
௩வழக்கிலே தரித்திரனுடைய முகத்தைப் பார்க்காதே.
4 If you come across your enemy's ox or donkey that has wandered off, take it back it to him.
௪உன்னுடைய எதிரியின் மாடோ அவனுடைய கழுதையோ தப்பிப்போவதைப் பார்த்தால், அதைத் திரும்ப அவனிடம் கொண்டுபோய் விடு.
5 If you see the donkey of someone who hates you that has fallen under its load, don't just leave it there. You must stop and help.
௫உன்னைப் பகைக்கிறவனுடைய கழுதை சுமையோடு விழுந்திருப்பதைப் பார்த்தால், அதற்கு உதவிசெய்யாமல் இருக்கலாமா? அவசியமாக அவனுடன்கூட அதற்கு உதவிசெய்யவேண்டும்.
6 You must not prevent the poor from getting justice in their lawsuits.
௬உன்னிடத்தில் இருக்கிற எளியவனுடைய வழக்கிலே அவனுடைய நியாயத்தைப் புரட்டாதே.
7 Don't have anything to do with making false accusations. Don't kill the innocent or those who do right, for I won't let the guilty go unpunished.
௭தவறான காரியத்தை விட்டுவிலகு; குற்றமில்லாதவனையும் நீதிமானையும் கொலைசெய்யாதே; நான் துன்மார்க்கனை நீதிமான் என்று தீர்க்கமாட்டேன்.
8 Don't accept bribes, for a bribe blinds those who can see, and undermines the evidence of the honest.
௮லஞ்சம் வாங்காதே; லஞ்சம் பார்வையுள்ளவர்களைக் குருடாக்கி, நீதிமான்களின் வார்த்தைகளைப் புரட்டும்.
9 Don't abuse foreigners living among you, since you know very well what it's like to be foreigners, for you were once foreigners in Egypt.
௯அந்நியனை ஒடுக்காதே; எகிப்துதேசத்தில் அந்நியர்களாக இருந்த நீங்கள் அந்நியனுடைய இருதயத்தை அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்களே.
10 Six years you are to sow your land and harvest crops,
௧0ஆறுவருடங்கள் நீ உன்னுடைய நிலத்தில் பயிரிட்டு, அதின் பலனைச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்.
11 but in the seventh year you are to let it rest and leave it uncultivated, so that poor people may eat what grows naturally from the field and the wild animals can finish what's left. Follow the same procedure for your vineyards and olive groves.
௧௧ஏழாம் வருடத்தில் உன்னுடைய மக்களிலுள்ள எளியவர்கள் சாப்பிடவும், மீதியானதை வெளியின் மிருகங்கள் சாப்பிடவும், அந்த நிலம் சும்மாகிடக்க விட்டுவிடு; உன்னுடைய திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தையும் உன்னுடைய ஒலிவத்தோப்பையும் அப்படியே செய்யவேண்டும்.
12 You have six days to do your work, but on the seventh day you must stop working, so that your ox and your donkey can rest, and your slaves' families can catch their breath, as well as the foreigners living among you.
௧௨ஆறுநாட்கள் உன்னுடைய வேலையைச் செய்து, ஏழாம்நாளிலே உன்னுடைய மாடும் உன்னுடைய கழுதையும் இளைப்பாறவும், உன்னுடைய அடிமைப்பெண்ணின் பிள்ளையும் அந்நியனும் இளைப்பாறவும் ஓய்ந்திரு.
13 Make sure to pay attention to everything I've told you. Don't think to call on the names of other gods—you must not even mention them.
௧௩நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னவைகள் எல்லாவற்றிலும் கவனமாக இருங்கள். அந்நிய தெய்வங்களின் பேரைச் சொல்லவேண்டாம்; அது உன்னுடைய வாயிலிருந்து பிறக்கக் கேட்கப்படவும் வேண்டாம்.
14 Three times every year you are to celebrate a feast dedicated to me.
௧௪வருடத்தில் மூன்றுமுறை எனக்குப் பண்டிகை அனுசரி.
15 You are to observe the Festival of Unleavened Bread as I instructed you. You are to eat bread without yeast for seven days at the appropriate time in the month of Abib, because that was the month you left Egypt. No one can come before me without bringing an offering.
௧௫புளிப்பில்லா அப்பப்பண்டிகையைக் கொண்டாடி, நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி ஆபீப் மாதத்தின் குறித்தகாலத்தில் ஏழுநாட்கள் புளிப்பில்லா அப்பம் சாப்பிடவேண்டும்; அந்த மாதத்தில் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டாயே, என்னுடைய சந்நிதியில் வெறுங்கையுடன் வரவேண்டாம்.
16 You are also to observe the Festival of Harvest when you present the firstfruits of the produce from what you've sown in the fields. Lastly you are to observe the Festival of Gathering-In the Harvest at the end of the year, when you gather in the harvest of the rest of your crops from the field.
௧௬நீ வயலில் விதைத்த உன்னுடைய பயிர் வேலைகளின் முதற்பலனைச் செலுத்துகிற அறுப்புக்கால பண்டிகையையும், வருடமுடிவிலே நீ வயலில் உன்னுடைய வேலைகளின் பலனைச் சேர்த்து முடிந்தபோது, சேர்ப்புக்கால பண்டிகையையும் அனுசரி.
17 Every Israelite male is to come before the Lord God at these three times every year.
௧௭வருடத்தில் மூன்றுமுறை உன்னுடைய ஆண்மக்கள் எல்லோரும் யெகோவாவாகிய ஆண்டவருடைய சந்நிதியில் வரட்டும்.
18 You must not offer the blood of my sacrifices together with anything that contains yeast, and the fat from the offerings presented at my festival must not be left until morning.
௧௮எனக்கு பலியிடும் இரத்தத்தைப் புளித்தமாவுடன் செலுத்தவேண்டாம், எனக்கு பலியிடும் கொழுப்பை அதிகாலைவரைக்கும் வைக்கவும் வேண்டாம்.
19 Bring the best firstfruits of your crops to the house of the Lord your God. Don't cook a young goat in its mother's milk.
௧௯உன்னுடைய நிலத்தில் முதல் விளைச்சல்களின் முதல் கனியை உன்னுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவரவேண்டும்; வெள்ளாட்டுக்குட்டியை அதனுடைய தாயின் பாலோடு சமைக்கவேண்டாம்.
20 Look, I'm sending an angel ahead of you to protect you on the way and to take you to the place I've prepared for you.
௨0வழியில் உன்னைக் காக்கிறதற்கும், நான் ஆயத்தம்செய்த இடத்திற்கு உன்னைக் கொண்டுபோய்ச் சேர்க்கிறதற்கும், இதோ, நான் ஒரு தூதனை உனக்கு முன்னே அனுப்புகிறேன்.
21 Make sure you pay attention to him and do what he says. Don't oppose him, because he won't forgive rebellion, for he carries my authority.
௨௧அவருடைய சமுகத்தில் எச்சரிக்கையாக இருந்து, அவர் வாக்குக்குச் செவிகொடு; அவரைக் கோபப்படுத்தாதே; உங்களுடைய துரோகங்களை அவர் பொறுப்பதில்லை; என்னுடைய பெயர் அவருடைய உள்ளத்தில் இருக்கிறது.
22 However, if you listen to him carefully, and do everything that I tell you, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and I will fight those who fight against you.
௨௨நீ அவருடைய வாக்கை நன்றாகக் கேட்டு, நான் சொல்வதையெல்லாம் செய்தால், நான் உன்னுடைய எதிரிகளுக்கு எதிரியாகவும், உன்னுடைய விரோதிகளுக்கு விரோதியாகவும் இருப்பேன்.
23 For my angel will go ahead of you and take you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites, and Jebusites, and I will wipe them out.
௨௩என்னுடைய தூதனானவர் உனக்கு முன்னேசென்று, எமோரியர்களும், ஏத்தியர்களும், பெரிசியர்களும், கானானியர்களும், ஏவியர்களும், எபூசியர்களும், இருக்கிற இடத்திற்கு உன்னை நடத்திக்கொண்டுபோவார்; அவர்களை நான் அழித்துப்போடுவேன்.
24 You must not bow down to their gods or worship them or follow their pagan practices. No, you must demolish their idols and smash their sacred pillars into pieces.
௨௪நீ அவர்களுடைய தெய்வங்களைப் பணிந்துகொள்ளாமலும், தொழுதுகொள்ளாமலும், அவர்களுடைய செயல்களின்படி செய்யாமலும், அவர்களை முழுவதும் அழித்து, அவர்களுடைய சிலைகளை உடைத்துப்போடவேண்டும்.
25 You are to worship the Lord your God, and he will bless your food and water. I will make sure none of you fall sick.
௨௫உங்களுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவையே ஆராதிக்கவேண்டும்; அவர் உன்னுடைய அப்பத்தையும் உன்னுடைய தண்ணீரையும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார். வியாதியை உன்னிலிருந்து விலக்குவேன்.
26 No woman will have a miscarriage or be without children. I will make sure you live long lives.
௨௬கர்ப்பம் களைகிறதும், மலடும் உன்னுடைய தேசத்தில் இருப்பதில்லை; உன்னுடைய ஆயுசு நாட்களை பூரணப்படுத்துவேன்.
27 I will send terror about me ahead of you which will throw every nation you meet into panic. I will make all your enemies turn and run away.
௨௭எனக்குப் பயப்படும் பயத்தை உனக்குமுன்பு செல்லும்படிச் செய்வேன். நீ செல்லும் இடமெங்கும் உள்ள மக்கள் எல்லோரையும் கொன்று, உன்னுடைய எதிரிகள் எல்லோரையும் முதுகு காட்டச்செய்வேன்.
28 I will send hornets ahead of you to drive out before you the Hivites and Canaanites and Hittites.
௨௮உன்னுடைய முகத்திற்கு முன்பாக ஏவியர்களையும், கானானியர்களையும், ஏத்தியர்களையும் துரத்திவிட குளவிகளை உனக்கு முன்னே அனுப்புவேன்.
29 I will not drive them out in just one year, because the land would become desolate and you would have to deal with increased numbers of wild animals.
௨௯தேசம் பாழாகப்போகாமலும், காட்டுமிருகங்கள் உனக்கு விரோதமாகப் பெருகாமலும் இருக்கும்படி, நான் அவர்களை ஓராண்டிற்குள்ளே உனக்கு முன்பாக துரத்திவிடாமல்,
30 Bit by bit I will drive them out ahead of you, until there are enough of you to take possession of the land.
௩0நீ விருத்தியடைந்து, தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளும்வரைக்கும், அவர்களைக் கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமாக உனக்கு முன்பாக துரத்திவிடுவேன்.
31 I will fix your borders from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the Euphrates River. I will hand the inhabitants of the land over to you, and you will drive them out.
௩௧செங்கடல் துவங்கி பெலிஸ்தர்களின் மத்திய தரைக்கடல்வரைக்கும், வனாந்திரம் துவங்கி நதிவரைக்கும் உன்னுடைய எல்லையாக இருக்கும்படிச் செய்வேன்; நான் அந்த தேசத்தின் குடிகளை உங்களுடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன்; நீ அவர்களை உனக்கு முன்பாக துரத்திவிடுவாய்.
32 You must not make any agreement with them or with their gods.
௩௨அவர்களோடும் அவர்களுடைய தெய்வங்களோடும் நீ உடன்படிக்கை செய்யாதே.
33 They must not be allowed to stay in your land, otherwise they will lead you to sin against me. For if you worship their gods, they will definitely become a trap for you.”
௩௩உன்னை எனக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவம் செய்யவைக்காதபடி உன்னுடைய தேசத்திலே அவர்கள் குடியிருக்கவேண்டாம்; நீ அவர்களுடைய தெய்வங்களைத் தொழுதுகொண்டால், அது உனக்குக் கண்ணியாக இருக்கும்” என்றார்.
