< Ephesians 6 >

1 Children, do what your parents tell you, for this is the right thing to do.
Ẹ̀yin ọmọ, ẹ máa gbọ́ tí àwọn òbí i yín nínú Olúwa, nítorí pé èyí ní ó tọ́.
2 “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment that has a promise attached:
“Bọ̀wọ̀ fún baba àti ìyá rẹ,” èyí tí í ṣe òfin kìn-ín-ní pẹ̀lú ìlérí,
3 “that things may go well for you and you may live a long life on the earth.”
“ki ó lé dára fún ọ, àti kí ìwọ lè wà pẹ́ ní ayé.”
4 Fathers, don't make your children mad, but look after them by disciplining them and instructing them about God.
Àti ẹ̀yin baba, ẹ má ṣe mú àwọn ọmọ yín bínú, ṣùgbọ́n ẹ máa tọ́ wọn nínú ẹ̀kọ́ àti ìkìlọ̀ Olúwa.
5 Servants, obey those who are your human masters, with proper respect and awe, doing things from sincere motives as if you were serving Christ.
Ẹ̀yin ọmọ ọ̀dọ̀, ẹ máa gbọ́ ti àwọn olúwa yín nípá ti ara, pẹ̀lú ìbẹ̀rù àti ìwárìrì, nínú òtítọ́ ọkàn yín, bí ẹni pé sí Kristi.
6 Don't just work well when you're being watched to gain approval, but work like servants of Christ, honestly doing God's will,
Gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ sí wọn lẹ́nu kì í ṣe láti rí ojúrere wọn nígbà tí ojú wọn bá ń bẹ lára rẹ, ṣùgbọ́n bí ẹrú Kristi, ní ṣíṣe ìfẹ́ Ọlọ́run láti inú ọkàn rẹ.

Ẹ máa fi gbogbo ọkàn yin ṣe iṣẹ́ ìsìn bí sí Olúwa, kì í sí ṣe sí ènìyàn.
8 You know that whoever does what's good will be rewarded by the Lord, whether that person is a servant or someone who is free.
Bí ẹ̀yin ti mọ̀ pé ohun rere tí olúkúlùkù bá ṣe òun náà ní yóò sí gbà padà lọ́dọ̀ Olúwa, ìbá à ṣe ẹrú, tàbí òmìnira.
9 Masters, you should treat your servants the same way. Don't threaten them, remember that the Lord in heaven is both their master and yours, and he treats people the same, without favoritism.
Àti ẹ̀yin ọ̀gá, ẹ máa ṣe irú ìtọ́jú kan náà sí àwọn ẹrú yin, ẹ máa dín ìbẹ̀rù yín kù bí ẹ̀yin ti mọ̀ pé Olúwa ẹ̀yin tìkára yín ń bẹ ní ọ̀run; kò sì ṣí ojúsàájú ènìyàn lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀.
10 Lastly, stay strong in the Lord, and in his mighty power.
Ní àkótán, ara mí, ẹ jẹ́ alágbára nínú Olúwa, àti nínú agbára ipá rẹ̀.
11 Put on all the armor of God so you can withstand all the devil's attacks!
Ẹ gbé gbogbo ìhámọ́ra Ọlọ́run wọ̀, kí ẹ̀yin lè kọ ojú ìjà sí àrékérekè èṣù.
12 We're not fighting against human forces, but against supernatural rulers and powers, the dark lords of this world, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. (aiōn g165)
Nítorí pé kì í ṣe ẹ̀jẹ̀ àti ẹran-ara ní àwa ń bá jìjàkadì, ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ìjòyè, àwọn ọlọ́lá, àwọn aláṣẹ ìbí òkùnkùn ayé yìí, àti àwọn ẹ̀mí búburú ní ojú ọ̀run. (aiōn g165)
13 Take all the weapons God provides so that you may be able to stand your ground in the day of evil and after doing all you can, to find yourself still standing!
Nítorí náà, ẹ gbé gbogbo ìhámọ́ra Ọlọ́run wọ̀, kí ẹ̀yin lè dúró tiiri sí ọjọ́ ibi, nígbà tí ẹ̀yin bá sì ti ṣe ohun gbogbo tan kí ẹ sì dúró.

15 and put on the shoes of readiness to share the good news of peace.
Tí ẹ sì ti fi ìmúra ìyìnrere àlàáfíà wọ ẹsẹ̀ yín ní bàtà.
16 Above all, take up the shield of trusting God, by which you'll be able to put out all the devil's flaming arrows.
Ní àfikún, ẹ mú àpáta ìgbàgbọ́, nípa èyí tí ẹ̀yin lè máa fi paná gbogbo ọfà iná ẹni ibi náà.
17 Wear the helmet of salvation, and carry the sword of the Spirit—the Spirit that's the word of God.
Kí ẹ sì mú àṣíborí ìgbàlà, àti idà ẹ̀mí, tí í ṣe ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run.
18 Always pray in the Spirit as you do all this. Stay awake and keep on praying for all God's people.

19 Pray for me too so that I'll be given the right words to say, and that I'll be able to explain confidently the hidden truths of the good news.
Kí ẹ sì máa gbàdúrà fún mí pẹ̀lú, kí Ọlọ́run lè fún mí ní ọ̀rọ̀ tí ó yẹ kí èmi lè máa fì ìgboyà sọ àwọn ohun ìjìnlẹ̀ ìyìnrere náà.
20 I'm an imprisoned ambassador for the sake of the good news, so please pray that I will speak fearlessly, as I should.

21 Tychicus, our good friend and faithful minister, will give you all my news and explain everything so you'll know how I'm doing.
Tikiku, arákùnrin olùfẹ́ àti ìránṣẹ́ olóòtítọ́ nínú Olúwa yóò sọ ohun gbogbo dí mí mọ̀ fún yín, kí ẹ̀yin pẹ̀lú lè mọ̀ bí nǹkan ti rí fún mí àti bí mo tí ń ṣe sí.

Ẹni tí mo rán sí yín nítorí èyí náà, kí ẹ lè mọ̀ bí a tí wà, kì òun lè tu ọkàn yín nínú.
23 Peace to all the Christians there, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, with love and trust in him.
