Ephesians 3
1 This is why, I, Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ for the sake of you foreigners,
Por esta causa yo Pablo, el prisionero de Cristo Jesús por amor de vosotros los Gentiles,
2 (well, I'm assuming you've heard that God gave me the specific responsibility of sharing God's grace with you),
Visto que habéis oído de la dispensación de la gracia de Dios que me ha sido dada para con vosotros:
3 how, by what God showed me, made clear the mystery that was previously hidden. I wrote to you briefly before about this,
Es a saber, que por revelación me fue declarado el misterio, (como antes he escrito en breve:
4 and when you read this you'll be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ.
Lo cual leyendo podéis entender cual sea mi inteligencia en el misterio de Cristo: )
5 In past generations this wasn't made clear to anyone, but now it's been revealed to God's holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit
El cual misterio en otras edades no fue entendido de los hijos de los hombres, como ahora es revelado a sus santos apóstoles y profetas por el Espíritu:
6 that foreigners are joint heirs, part of the same body, and in Christ Jesus share together in the promise through the good news.
Que los Gentiles habían de ser coherederos, e incorporados, y participantes de su promesa en Cristo por el evangelio:
7 I became a minister of this good news through the gift of God's grace that I was given by his power that was at work in me.
Del cual yo soy hecho ministro, por el don de la gracia de Dios que me ha sido dado, según la operación de su poder.
8 This grace was given to me, the least important of all Christians, in order to share with the foreigners the incredible value of Christ,
A mí, digo, el menor de todos los santos, es dada esta gracia de anunciar entre los Gentiles el evangelio de las riquezas inescrutables de Cristo;
9 and to help everyone see the purpose of the mystery which from the very beginning was hidden in God who made everything. (aiōn g165)
Y de enseñar con claridad a todos cual sea la dispensación del misterio escondido desde los siglos en Dios, que creó todas las cosas por Jesu Cristo: (aiōn g165)
10 God's plan was that the various aspects of his wisdom would be revealed through the church to the rulers and authorities in heaven.
Para que a los principados y potestades en los cielos sea ahora hecha notoria por la iglesia la multiforme sabiduría de Dios,
11 This was in accordance with God's eternal purpose that he carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord. (aiōn g165)
Conforme al propósito de los siglos, que hizo en Cristo Jesús Señor nuestro: (aiōn g165)
12 Because of him and our trust in him we can come to God in total freedom and confidence.
En el cual tenemos libertad y entrada con confianza por la fe de él.
13 So I'm asking that you don't get discouraged that I'm suffering—it's for you and you should value that!
Por tanto os ruego, que no desmayéis por causa de mis tribulaciones por vosotros, lo cual es vuestra gloria.
14 This is why I kneel before the Father
Por causa de esto hinco mis rodillas al Padre de nuestro Señor Jesu Cristo:
15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth receives its nature and character,
(De quien toma nombre toda la familia en los cielos y en la tierra: )
16 asking him that out of his wealth of glory he may strengthen you in your innermost being with power through his Spirit.
Que os dé conforme a las riquezas de su gloria, que seáis corroborados con poder en el hombre interior por su Espíritu:
17 May Christ live in you as you trust in him, so that as you are planted deep in love,
Que habite Cristo por la fe en vuestros corazones; para que arraigados y afirmados en amor,
18 you may have the power to comprehend with all God's people the breadth and length and height and depth of Christ's love.
Podáis comprender con todos los santos cual sea la anchura, y la longitud, y la profundidad, y la altura;
19 May you know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you're made full and complete by the fullness of God.
Y conocer el amor de Cristo, que sobrepuja a todo entendimiento; para que seáis llenos de toda la plenitud de Dios.
20 Now may he who—through his power working in us—can do infinitely more than we ever ask for or even think about,
A aquel, pues, que es poderoso para hacer todas las cosas mucho más abundantemente de lo que pedimos, o entendemos, conforme al poder que obra en nosotros,
