Deuteronomy 23
1 No man whose genitals have been damaged or cut off is allowed to enter the Lord's sanctuary.
௧“விரை நசுக்கப்பட்டவனும், ஆணுறுப்பு வெட்டப்பட்டவனும் யெகோவாவுடைய சபையில் சேர்க்கப்படக்கூடாது.
2 No one of mixed race is allowed to enter the Lord's sanctuary, and none of his descendants may do so either, up to the tenth generation.
௨“வேசித்தனத்தினால் பிறந்த பிள்ளையும் யெகோவாவுடைய சபையில் சேர்க்கப்படக்கூடாது; அவனுக்குப் பத்தாம் தலைமுறையானவனும் யெகோவாவுடைய சபையில் சேர்க்கப்படக்கூடாது.
3 No Ammonite or Moabite or any of their descendants are allowed to enter the Lord's sanctuary, up to the tenth generation.
௩“அம்மோனியனும் மோவாபியனும் யெகோவாவுடைய சபையில் சேர்க்கப்படக்கூடாது; பத்தாம் தலைமுறையிலும் என்றைக்கும் அவர்கள் யெகோவாவுடைய சபையில் சேர்க்கப்படக்கூடாது.
4 For they did not come to meet you with food and water on your journey from Egypt, and they hired Balaam, son of Beor, from Pethor in Mesopotamia, to curse you.
௪நீங்கள் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு வருகிற வழியிலே, அவர்கள் அப்பத்தோடும், தண்ணீரோடும் உங்களுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டு வராததினாலும், உன்னை சபிக்கும்படியாக மெசொப்பொத்தாமியாவின் ஊராகிய பேத்தோரிலிருந்த பேயோரின் மகன் பிலேயாமுக்குக் கூலி பேசி அவனை அழைப்பித்ததினாலும் இப்படிச் செய்யவேண்டும்.
5 But the Lord your God refused to listen to Balaam. The Lord your God turned what was meant to be a curse into a blessing for you because the Lord your God loves you.
௫உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா பிலேயாமுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்க விருப்பமில்லாமல், உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உன்மேல் அன்புசெலுத்தியதால், உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா அந்த சாபத்தை உனக்கு ஆசீர்வாதமாக மாறச்செய்தார்.
6 Don't arrange a peace treaty with them or help them out as long as you live.
௬நீ உயிருள்ளவரை அவர்களுக்கு ஒருபோதும் சமாதானத்தையும் நன்மையையும் செய்யாதே.
7 Don't look down on an Edomite, for they are your relatives. Don't look down on an Egyptian either, because you lived as foreigners in their country.
௭“ஏதோமியனை வெறுக்காதே, அவன் உன்னுடைய சகோதரன்; எகிப்தியனை வெறுக்காதே, அவனுடைய தேசத்திலே நீ அந்நியனாக இருந்தாய்.
8 The third generation of their children are allowed to enter the Lord's sanctuary.
௮மூன்றாம் தலைமுறையில் அவர்களுக்குப் பிறந்த பிள்ளைகள் யெகோவாவுடைய சபையில் சேர்க்கப்படலாம்.
9 When you are in an army camp during a war with your enemies, make sure you avoid anything wrong.
௯“நீ படையெடுத்து உன்னுடைய எதிரிகளுக்கு விரோதமாகப் புறப்படும்போது, தீமையான காரியங்கள் எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் விலகியிருப்பாயாக.
10 Any man there who becomes unclean because of a release of semen must leave the camp and remain outside.
௧0இரவு நேரத்தில் விந்து வெளியேறியதால் அசுத்தமாயிருக்கிற ஒருவன் உங்களுக்குள் இருந்தால், அவன் முகாமிற்கு வெளியே போய், முகாமிற்குள் வராமல்,
11 Towards the end of the day he must wash himself with water, and at sunset he may return to the camp.
௧௧மாலையில் தண்ணீரில் குளித்து, சூரியன் மறையும்போது முகாமிற்குள் வரக்கடவன்.
12 Choose a place outside the camp to be used as a toilet.
௧௨“உன் மலம் கழிக்கும் இடம் முகாமிற்கு வெளியே இருக்கவேண்டும்.
13 You need to have a spade as part of your equipment so that you can dig a hole, and then when you're finished you can cover up your excrement.
௧௩உன் ஆயுதங்களுடன் ஒரு சிறுகோலும் உன்னிடத்தில் இருக்கவேண்டும்; நீ மலம் கழிக்கும்போது, அந்தக் கோலினால் மண்ணைத் தோண்டி, உன்னிலிருந்து கழிந்துபோனதை மூடிப்போடவேண்டும்.
14 The Lord your God is present with you in your camp to keep you safe and to defeat your enemies. Your camp must be kept holy, because if he sees anything unclean among you and he will leave you.
௧௪உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா உன்னை இரட்சிக்கவும், உன் எதிரிகளை உனக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கவும், உன் முகாமிற்குள்ளே உலாவிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்; ஆகையால், அவர் உன்னிடத்தில் அசுத்தமான காரியத்தைக் கண்டு, உன்னைவிட்டுப் போகாமலிருக்க, உன்னுடைய முகாம் சுத்தமாயிருக்கக்கடவது.
15 Don't send a slave back to their master if they have come to you for protection.
௧௫“தன் எஜமானுக்குத் தப்பி உன்னிடத்திற்கு வந்த வேலைக்காரனை அவனுடைய எஜமான் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடாதே.
16 Let the slave live in your country wherever they want, in whatever town they want. Don't mistreat them.
௧௬அவன் உனக்கு இருக்கிற உன் வாசல்கள் ஒன்றிலே தனக்கு விருப்பமான இடத்தைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, அதிலே உன்னுடனே இருப்பானாக; அவனை ஒடுக்கவேண்டாம்.
17 No Israelite women or men are to be cult prostitutes.
௧௭“இஸ்ரவேலின் மகள்களில் ஒருத்தியும் வேசியாயிருக்கக்கூடாது; இஸ்ரவேலின் மகன்களில் ஒருவனும் ஆண்புணர்ச்சிக்காரனாக இருக்கக்கூடாது.
18 Don't bring into the house of the Lord your God any money from a prostitute, whether a woman or a man, using it to fulfill a promise to the Lord, for both are offensive to the Lord your God.
௧௮வேசிப்பணத்தையும், ஆண்புணர்ச்சிக்காரனின் பணத்தையும் எந்தப் பொருத்தனையினாலாகிலும் உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்திலே கொண்டுவராதே; அவைகள் இரண்டும் உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு அருவருப்பானவைகள்.
19 Don't charge a fellow Israelite interest on money, food, or any other kind of loan.
௧௯“கடனாகக் கொடுக்கிற பணத்திற்கும், ஆகாரத்திற்கும், கடனாகக் கொடுக்கிற வேறே எந்தப் பொருளுக்கும், உன் சகோதரனுடைய கையில் வட்டிவாங்காதே.
20 You may charge a foreigner interest, but not an Israelite, so that the Lord your God may bless you in everything you do in the country that you are going in to occupy.
௨0அந்நியன் கையில் நீ வட்டிவாங்கலாம்; நீ சொந்தமாக்கப்போகிற தேசத்தில் உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா நீ கையிட்டுச்செய்யும் வேலையிலெல்லாம் உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிக்க உன் சகோதரன் கையிலே வட்டிவாங்காதே.
21 If you make a promise to the Lord your God, don't be slow in keeping it, because he will definitely demand that you fulfill it and you will be guilty of sin if you don't.
௨௧“நீ உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்குப் பொருத்தனை செய்திருந்தால், அதைச் செலுத்தத் தாமதம்செய்யாதே; உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவா அதை நிச்சயமாக உன் கையில் கேட்பார்; அது உனக்குப் பாவமாகும்.
22 If you don't make such promises then you won't be guilty of sin.
௨௨நீ பொருத்தனை செய்யாமலிருந்தால், உன்மேல் பாவம் இல்லை.
23 But make sure to carry out what you've said to the Lord your God, because it was you who freely chose to make such a promise.
௨௩உன் வாயினால் சொன்னதை நிறைவேற்றவேண்டும்; உன் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு உன் வாயினால் நீ பொருத்தனைசெய்து சொன்ன உற்சாகபலியைச் செலுத்தித் தீர்ப்பாயாக.
24 When you walk through your neighbor's vineyard, you can eat as many grapes as you want, but you must not collect any to take with you.
௨௪“நீ பிறனுடைய திராட்சைத்தோட்டத்தில் நுழைந்தால், உன் ஆசைதீர திராட்சைப்பழங்களைத் திருப்தியாக சாப்பிடலாம்; உன் கூடையிலே ஒன்றும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போகக்கூடாது.
25 When you walk through your neighbor's grainfield, you may pick the ears of grain with your hand, but you must not use a sickle to harvest it.
௨௫பிறனுடைய விளைச்சலில் நுழைந்தால், உன் கையினால் கதிர்களைப் பறிக்கலாம்; நீ அந்த விளைச்சலில் அரிவாளைப் பயன்படுத்தக்கூடாது.
