< Deuteronomy 14 >

1 You are the children of the Lord your God. Don't mutilate yourselves or shave your forehead like pagans do when they mourn the dead,
Dakayo dagiti tattao ni Yahweh a Diosyo. Saanyo a sugaten dagiti bagbagiyo, wenno kiskisan ti aniaman a paset ti rupayo para iti natay.
2 because you are a holy people who belong to the Lord your God. The Lord chose you as his special people out of all the nations on earth.
Ta maysakayo a nasion a nailasin para kenni Yahweh a Diosyo, ken pinilinakayo ni Yahweh nga agbalin a tattaona para iti bukodna a sanikua, nga ad-adda ngem kadagiti amin a tattao nga adda iti rabaw ti daga.
3 You must not eat anything repulsive.
Masapul a saankayo a mangan iti aniaman a banag a makarimon.
4 These are the animals that you are allowed to eat: cattle, sheep, goats,
Dagitoy dagiti ayup a mabalinyo a kanen: ti nakapon a baka, ti karnero, ken ti kalding,
5 deer, gazelles, wild goats, antelopes, and mountain sheep.
ti ugsa, ti gasela, ti korso, ti atap a kalding, unikornio, atap a baka ken atap a karnero.
6 You can eat any animal that both has a divided hoof and also chews the cud.
Mabalinyo a kanen dagiti ayup a nagpisi ti kukona, dayta ket naggudua ti kukona, ken agngatingat.
7 But you are not allowed to eat those that either chew the cud or have a divided hoof. This includes: camels, rabbits, and rock hyraxes. Even though they chew the cud, they don't have a divided hoof. You must treat them as unclean.
Nupay kasta, masapul a saanyo a kanen dagiti dadduma nga ayup nga agngatingat wenno naggudua ti kukona: ti kamelio, ti kuneho, ken ti atap a kuneho; gapu ta agngatingatda ngem saan a nagpisi ti kukona, narugitda para kadakayo.
8 The same applies to the pig. Even though it has a divided hoof, it does not chew the cud. So you must treat it as unclean. You must not eat its meat or touch its dead body.
Narugit pay ti baboy para kadakayo gapu ta nagpisi dagiti kukona ngem saan nga agngatingat; narugit daytoy kadakayo. Saanyo a kanen ti karne ti baboy, ken saanyo a sagiden dagiti bangkayda
9 When it comes to creatures that live in the water, you are allowed to eat anything that has fins and scales.
Dagitoy dagiti banbanag nga adda iti danum a mabalinyo a kanen: aniaman nga addaan iti pigar ken siksik;
10 But you must not eat anything that does not have fins and scales. You must treat them as unclean.
ngem masapul a saanyo a kanen ti aniaman nga awan iti pigar ken siksikna; narugitda para kadakayo.
11 You are allowed to eat any clean bird.
Mabalinyo a kanen dagiti amin a billit a nadalus.
12 But you must not eat the following: eagle, griffon vulture, bearded vulture,
Ngem dagitoy dagiti billit a masapul a saanyo a kanen: ti agila, ti asor, ti agila ti taaw,
13 buzzard, kites, any kind of falcon,
ti kakok ken ti sawi, aniaman a kita ti kali,
14 any member of the crow family,
aniaman a kita ti rabena,
15 tawny owl, long-eared owl, gulls, any kind of hawk,
ken ti abestrus, ken ti kalaw, ken ti garseta ken aniaman a kita ti wak,
16 little owl, eagle owl, barn owl,
ti puek, ti kullaaw, ken kalamon,
17 desert owl, Egyptian vulture, fish owl,
ti pelikano, ti buitre, ti gabiota,
18 storks, any kind of heron, hoopoe, or bats.
ken ti tikbaboy, aniaman a kita ti kannnaway, ti abubillia, ken ti panniki.
19 All insects that fly are unclean to you; you must not eat them.
Amin a nagpayak, dagiti agkarkaradap a banbanag ket narugit para kadakayo; masapul a saanda a makan.
20 But you are allowed to eat any clean animal that has wings.
Mabalinyo a kanen amin dagiti nadalus a banbanag a tumatayab.
21 You must not eat any animal that dies. You can give it to a foreigner in your town, and they can eat it, or you can sell it to a foreigner. You, however, are a holy people who belong to the Lord your God. Don't cook a young goat in its mother's milk.
Saanyo a kanen ti aniaman a natay lattan; mabalinyo nga ipadawat daytoy iti ganggannaet nga adda iti uneg dagiti ruanganyo, tapno mabalinna a kanen daytoy; wenno mabalinyo nga ilako daytoy iti ganggannaet. Ta maysakayo a nasion a nailasin para kenni Yahweh a Diosyo. Masapul a saanyo nga ipaburek ti ubing a kalding iti gatas ti inana.
22 Make sure you pay a tithe of every crop grown each year in your fields.
Masapul a sigurado a pagkapulloenyo amin a maani ti bin-iyo nga agtaud iti talon iti tinawen.
23 You are to eat a tenth of your grain, new wine, and olive oil, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks, in the presence of the Lord your God at the place he will choose to live with you, so that you will learn to always respect the Lord your God.
Masapul a kanenyo iti sangoanan ni Yahweh a Diosyo, iti lugar a pilienna a kas santuariona, ti apagkapullo ti trigoyo, iti baro nga arakyo, ti lanayo, ken dagiti inauna nga annak ti baka ken karneroyo; tapno masursuroyo ti kankanayon a panagdayaw kenni Yahweh a Diosyo.
24 However, if it's too far to carry all the tithe that the Lord your God has blessed you with, because the place where the Lord your God will choose to live with you is too distant,
No atiddug unay para kadakayo ti panagdaliasat ket saanyo a kabaelan nga awiten daytoy, gapu ta adayo unay kadakayo ti lugar a pilien ni Yahweh a Diosyo a kas santuariona, ket inton bendisionannakayo ni Yahweh a Diosyo,
25 then you can exchange it for money, take the money with you and go to the place the Lord your God will choose.
isukatyo ti daton iti kuarta, igalutyo ti kuarta iti imayo, ket mapankayo iti lugar a piliento ni Yahweh a Diosyo.
26 Then you can spend the money on anything you like—cattle, sheep, wine, alcoholic drink, or anything else you want. Then you can have a feast there in the presence of the Lord your God and celebrate with your family.
Busbosenyo sadiay ti kuarta iti aniaman a tarigagayyo; para iti nakapon a baka, karnero, arak, wenno naingel a mainom, wenno para iti aniaman a tarigagayyo; kanenyonto iti sangoanan ni Yahweh a Diosyo sadiay, ket agrag-okayonto, dakayo ken ti sangakabbalayanyo.
27 Don't forget to take care of the Levites in your town, because they don't have any share in the allotment of land.
Ti Levita nga adda iti uneg dagiti ruanganyo—saanyo isuna a baybay-an, ta awan iti paset wenno tawidna kadakayo.
28 At the end of every third year, collect a tenth of all your produce for that year and store it in your town.
Iti pagleppasan iti tunggal tallo a tawen ket idatagyo amin dagiti apagkapullo ti apityo iti isu met la a tawen, ken ipempenyo iti uneg dagiti ruanganyo;
29 This way the Levites (who don't have any share in the allotment of land), the foreigners, the orphans, and the widows in your town will be provided with what they need. The Lord your God will bless you in everything you do.
ket ti Levita, gapu ta awan iti paset wenno tawidna kadakayo, ken ti ganggannaet, ti ulila, ken ti balo nga adda iti uneg dagiti ruanganyo, umaydanto mangan ket mapnekda. Aramidenyo daytoy tapno bendisionannakayo ni Yahweh a Diosyo iti amin a trabaho nga aramiden dagiti imayo.
