Daniel 7
1 In the first year of Belshazzar's reign as king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream in which visions passed through his mind as he lay in bed. Afterwards he wrote down the dream, describing it in summary form.
௧பாபிலோனின் ராஜாவாகிய பெல்ஷாத்சாரின் முதலாம் வருடத்திலே தானியேல் ஒரு கனவையும் தன் படுக்கையின்மேல் தன் எண்ணத்தில் தோன்றின தரிசனங்களையும் கண்டான். பின்பு அவன் அந்தக் கனவை எழுதி, காரியங்களின் சாராம்சத்தை விவரித்தான்.
2 In my vision that I had that night I saw a tremendous storm, blowing from every direction, stirring up a great sea.
௨தானியேல் சொன்னது: இரவு நேரத்தில் எனக்கு உண்டான தரிசனத்திலே நான் கண்டது என்னவென்றால்: இதோ, வானத்தின் நான்கு காற்றுகளும் பெரிய சமுத்திரத்தின்மேல் அடித்தது.
3 Four very large beasts were coming up from the sea, every one of them different.
௩அப்பொழுது வெவ்வேறு தோற்றமுள்ள நான்கு பெரிய மிருகங்கள் சமுத்திரத்திலிருந்து எழும்பின.
4 The first was like a lion and had the wings of an eagle. As I watched, its wings were torn off and it was pulled upright so it was standing with its hind legs on the ground and it was given the mind of a human being.
௪முதலாவது சிங்கத்தைப்போல இருந்தது; அதற்குக் கழுகின் இறக்கைகள் இருந்தது; நான் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, அதின் சிறகுகள் பிடுங்கப்பட்டது; அது தரையிலிருந்து எடுக்கப்பட்டு, மனிதனைப்போல இரண்டு காலின்மேல் நிமிர்ந்துநிற்கும்படி செய்யப்பட்டது; மனித இருதயம் அதற்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.
5 A second beast appeared, looking like a bear, hunched up on one side and holding three ribs in its mouth with its teeth. It was told, “Get up and eat all the flesh you can.”
௫பின்பு, கரடியைப் போல வேறே இரண்டாம் மிருகத்தைக் கண்டேன்; அது ஒரு பக்கமாகச் சாய்ந்து நின்று, தன் வாயின் பற்களுக்குள்ளே மூன்று விலா எலும்புகளைக் கவ்விக்கொண்டிருந்தது; எழும்பி அதிக மாம்சம் சாப்பிடு என்று அதற்குச் சொல்லப்பட்டது.
6 After this I saw a third beast. It looked like a leopard with four wings like those of a bird on its back, and it had four heads. It was given power to impose its rule.
௬அதின்பின்பு, சிவிங்கியைப்போலிருக்கிற வேறொரு மிருகத்தைக் கண்டேன்; அதின் முதுகின்மேல் பறவையின் இறக்கைகளைப்போல நான்கு இறக்கைகள் இருந்தன; அந்த மிருகத்திற்கு நான்கு தலைகளும் இருந்தன; அதற்கு ஆளுகை கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.
7 Then in my vision that I had that night a fourth beast appeared. It was terrifying, frightening, and extremely powerful, with great iron teeth. It tore apart and ate up its victims, and then trampled on what was left. This beast was different to those that came before it, and it had ten horns.
௭அதற்குப்பின்பு, இரவுநேரத் தரிசனங்களில் நான்காம் மிருகத்தைக் கண்டேன்; அது கொடியதும் பயங்கரமும் மகா பலத்ததுமாயிருந்தது; அதற்குப் பெரிய இரும்புப் பற்கள் இருந்தன; அது நொறுக்கி அழித்து, மீதியானதைத் தன் கால்களால் மிதித்துப்போட்டது; அது தனக்கு முன்பிருந்த எல்லா மிருகங்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் வேறுபட்ட உருவமாயிருந்தது, அதற்குப் பத்துக் கொம்புகள் இருந்தது.
8 As I was wondering about the horns, another horn, a little one, came up between them and three of the earlier horns were pulled out before it. It had human-looking eyes and a mouth that made arrogant boasts.
௮அந்தக் கொம்புகளை நான் கவனித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, இதோ, அவைகளுக்கு இடையிலே வேறொரு சிறிய கொம்பு எழும்பியது; அதற்கு முன்பாக முந்தின கொம்புகளில் மூன்று பிடுங்கப்பட்டது; இதோ, அந்தக் கொம்பிலே மனித கண்களைப்போன்ற கண்களும் பெருமையானவைகளைப் பேசும் வாயும் இருந்தது.
9 While I was watching, thrones were set up and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothes were white as snow and his hair looked like the purest wool. His throne blazed like flames; its wheels like burning fire.
௯நான் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, சிங்காசனங்கள் வைக்கப்பட்டன; நீண்ட ஆயுசுள்ளவர் வீற்றிருந்தார்; அவருடைய உடை உறைந்த மழையைப்போலவும், அவருடைய தலைமுடி வெண்மையாகவும், பஞ்சைப்போல தூய்மையாகவும் இருந்தது; அவருடைய சிங்காசனம் நெருப்புத் தழலும், அதின் சக்கரங்கள் எரிகிற நெருப்புமாயிருந்தது.
10 A stream of fire poured out, flowing from before him. A thousand thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. The court sat to begin its judgment, and the books were opened.
௧0அக்கினி நதி அவர் சந்நிதியிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு ஓடினது; ஆயிரமாயிரம்பேர் அவரைச் சேவித்தார்கள்; கோடானகோடிபேர் அவருக்கு முன்பாக நின்றார்கள்; நியாயசங்கம் உட்கார்ந்தது; புத்தகங்கள் திறக்கப்பட்டது.
11 I was watching because of the boasts the little horn was making. I went on watching until that beast was killed and its body destroyed by burning.
௧௧அப்பொழுது நான் பார்த்தேன்; நான் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது அந்தக் கொம்பு பெருமையான பேச்சுகளைப் பேசினதினால் அந்த மிருகம் கொலைசெய்யப்பட்டது; அதின் உடல் அழிக்கப்பட்டு, எரிகிற நெருப்பிற்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.
12 The rest of the beasts were allowed to go on living for a season and a time, but their power to rule had been taken away.
௧௨மற்ற மிருகங்களுடைய ஆளுகையோவென்றால், அவைகளை விட்டு நீக்கப்பட்டது; ஆனாலும், அவைகளுக்குக் காலமும் நேரமும் நிறைவேறும்வரை அவைகள் உயிரோடு இருக்கக் கட்டளையிடப்பட்டது.
13 As I continued watching in my vision that I had that night I saw one like a son of man coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.
௧௩இரவுநேரத் தரிசனங்களிலே நான் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, இதோ, மனிதனுடைய சாயலான ஒருவர் வானத்து மேகங்களுடனே வந்தார்; அவர் நீண்ட ஆயுள் உள்ளவரின் அருகில் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டார்.
14 He was given authority, glory, and the power to rule over all people, the different nations and languages, so they would all worship him. His rule is everlasting—it will never cease, and his kingdom will never be destroyed.
௧௪சகல மக்களும் தேசத்தார்களும், பல மொழிகளைப் பேசுகிறவர்களும் அவரையே சேவிக்கும்படி, அவருக்குக் கர்த்தத்துவமும், மகிமையும், அரசாட்சியும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது; அவருடைய கர்த்தத்துவம் நீங்காத நித்திய கர்த்தத்துவமும், அவருடைய ஆளுகை அழியாததுமாயிருக்கும்.
15 I, Daniel, was deeply disturbed—the visions that had passed through my mind frightened me.
௧௫தானியேலாகிய நான் என் உடலுக்குள் என் ஆவியிலே சஞ்சலப்படமாட்டேன்; என் மனதில் தோன்றின தரிசனங்கள் என்னைக் கலங்கச்செய்தது.
16 I went up to one of the attendants and asked him to explain what all this meant. He said he would explain it so I could understand.
௧௬சிங்காசனத்தின் அருகில் நிற்கிறவர்களில் ஒருவனிடத்தில் நான் போய், இதன் அர்த்தம் எல்லாவற்றையும் எனக்குச் சொல்லும்படி அவனை வேண்டிக்கொண்டேன்; அவன் அந்தக் காரியங்களின் அர்த்தத்தை எனக்கு அறிவித்துச் சொன்னது என்னவென்றால்:
17 “These four large beasts symbolize four kingdoms that will rise to power on the earth.
௧௭அந்த நான்கு பெரிய மிருகங்களும் பூமியிலிருந்து எழும்புகிற நான்கு ராஜாக்கள்.
18 But those dedicated to the Most High will eventually receive the kingdom. They will possess the kingdom forever, for ever and ever.”
௧௮ஆனாலும் உன்னதமான தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தவான்கள் அரசாட்சியைப்பெற்று, என்றென்றைக்குமுள்ள சதா காலங்களிலும் ராஜ்ஜியத்தைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்வார்கள் என்றான்.
19 Then I wanted to know what the fourth beast stood for—the one that was different to the rest and so terrifying. It had iron teeth and bronze claws, and it tore apart and ate up its victims, trampling on what was left.
௧௯அப்பொழுது மற்றவைகளைப்பார்க்கிலும் வேறுபட்ட உருவம் கொடியதும், இரும்புப் பற்களும், வெண்கல நகங்களுமுடையதாக நொறுக்கி அழித்தது. மீதியானதைத் தன் கால்களால் மிதித்துப் போட்டதுமாயிருந்த நான்காம் மிருகத்தைக்குறித்தும்,
20 I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head, and the other one that came up later, causing three of the other horns to fall. This horn looked more impressive than the others and had eyes and a mouth that made arrogant boasts.
௨0அதின் தலைமேலுள்ள பத்துக்கொம்புகளைக்குறித்தும், தனக்கு முன்பாக மூன்று கொம்புகள் விழுந்துபோக எழும்பினதுமாக, கண்களையும் பெருமையானவைகளைப் பேசும் வாயை உடையதுமாக, மற்றவைகளைப்பார்க்கிலும் பருமனாகத் தோன்றினதுமாயிருந்த அந்த வேறே கொம்பைக்குறித்தும், அவற்றின் அர்த்தத்தை அறிய மனதாயிருந்தேன்.
21 I watched as this horn attacked God's dedicated people and was conquering them,
௨௧நீண்ட ஆயுசுள்ளவராகிய தேவன் வரும்வரைக்கும், நியாயவிசாரிப்பு, உன்னதமான தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டு, பரிசுத்தவான்கள் ராஜ்ஜியத்தைச் சொந்தமாக்கிக்கொள்ளும் காலம் வரும்வரைக்கும்,
22 until the Ancient of Days came and gave judgment in favor of the dedicated people of the Most High, and at that time they took possession of the kingdom.
௨௨இந்தக் கொம்பு பரிசுத்தவான்களுடன் போரிட்டு, அவர்களை மேற்கொண்டது என்று கண்டேன்.
23 Then he told me, “The fourth beast stands for the fourth kingdom to rule the earth. It will be different to all the rest of the kingdoms. The beast will eat up the whole world, trampling it down and crushing it.
௨௩அவன் சொன்னது: நான்காம் மிருகம் பூமியிலே உண்டாகும் நான்காம் ராஜ்ஜியமாகும்; அது எல்லா ராஜ்ஜியங்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் வேறுபட்டதாக இருந்து, பூமியை எல்லாம் அழித்து, அதை மிதித்து, அதை நொறுக்கிப்போடும்.
24 The ten horns are ten kings that will come to power from this kingdom. The one who comes later is different from them, and will defeat three of them.
௨௪அந்தப் பத்துக்கொம்புகள் என்னவென்றால், அந்த ராஜ்ஜியத்திலே எழும்பும் பத்து ராஜாக்களாகும்; அவர்களுக்குப்பின்பு வேறொருவன் எழும்புவான்; அவன் முந்தினவர்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் வேறுபட்டதாக இருந்து, மூன்று ராஜாக்களைத் தாழ்த்திப்போட்டு,
25 He will speak words of defiance against the Most High and oppress the dedicated people of the Most High, and attempt to change times and laws, and they will be placed under his power for a time, two times, and half a time.
௨௫உன்னதமான தேவனுக்கு விரோதமாக வார்த்தைகளைப் பேசி, உன்னதமான தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களை ஒடுக்கி, காலங்களையும் பிரமாணங்களையும் மாற்ற நினைப்பான்; அவர்கள் ஒரு காலமும். காலங்களும், அரைக்காலமும் செல்லும்வரை அவனுடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுவார்கள்.
26 Then the court will execute judgment and take away his power, destroying it forever.
௨௬ஆனாலும் நியாயசங்கம் உட்காரும்; அப்பொழுது முடிவுவரை அவனை முற்றிலும் அழிக்கும்படியாக அவனுடைய ஆளுகையை நீக்கிப்போடுவார்கள்.
27 Then the right to rule, the power, and the greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be given to those dedicated to the Most High. His kingdom will last forever, and all who rule will serve and obey him.”
௨௭வானத்தின் கீழெங்குமுள்ள ராஜ்ஜியங்களின் ராஜரிகமும் ஆளுகையும் மகத்துவமும் உன்னதமான தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களாகிய மக்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்; அவருடைய ராஜ்ஜியம் நித்திய ராஜ்ஜியம்; சகல கர்த்தத்துவங்களும் அவரைச் சேவித்து, அவருக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டிருக்கும் என்றான்.
28 This is the end of the summary. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts really disturbed me and my face turned pale, but I kept it all to myself.
௨௮அவன் சொன்ன வார்த்தை இத்துடன் முடிந்தது. தானியேலாகிய நான் என் நினைவுகளால் மிகவும் கலங்கினேன்; என் முகம் வேறுபட்டது; இந்தக் காரியத்தை என் மனதிலே வைத்துக்கொண்டேன்.
