Daniel 2
1 In the second year of Nebuchadnezzar's reign the king had dreams that upset him so much that he found it difficult to sleep.
| و در سال دوم سلطنت نبوکدنصر، نبوکدنصر خوابی دید و روحش مضطرب شده، خواب از وی دور شد. | ۱ |
2 So the king summoned the magicians, enchanters, sorcerers, and astrologers to tell him what he had dreamed. They came in and stood before him.
| پس پادشاه امرفرمود که مجوسیان و جادوگران و فالگیران وکلدانیان را بخوانند تا خواب پادشاه را برای اوتعبیر نمایند و ایشان آمده، به حضور پادشاه ایستادند. | ۲ |
3 “I've had a dream that has really upset me,” he told them. “I need to know what it means.”
| و پادشاه به ایشان گفت: «خوابی دیده‌ام وروحم برای فهمیدن خواب مضطرب است.» | ۳ |
4 The astrologers answered the king in Aramaic, “May Your Majesty the king live forever! Tell us your dream and we your servants will interpret it for you.”
| کلدانیان به زبان ارامی به پادشاه عرض کردند که «پادشاه تا به ابد زنده بماند! خواب را برای بندگانت بیان کن و تعبیر آن را خواهیم گفت.» | ۴ |
5 “I can't recall it,” the king told the astrologers. “If you can't reveal the dream to me, and its meaning, you will be cut into pieces and your houses will be totally destroyed!
| پادشاه در جواب کلدانیان فرمود: «فرمان ازمن صادر شد که اگر خواب و تعبیر آن را برای من بیان نکنید پاره پاره خواهید شد و خانه های شمارا مزبله خواهند ساخت. | ۵ |
6 But if you can tell me the dream and its meaning you will receive from me gifts, rewards, and great honor. So tell me the dream and what it means!”
| و اگر خواب وتعبیرش را بیان کنید، بخششها و انعامها و اکرام عظیمی از حضور من خواهید یافت. پس خواب و تعبیرش را به من اعلام نمایید.» | ۶ |
7 Again they said the same thing: “If Your Majesty the king would tell us his servants the dream, we will explain what it means.”
| ایشان باردیگر جواب داده، گفتند که «پادشاه بندگان خودرا از خواب اطلاع دهد و آن را تعبیر خواهیم کرد.» | ۷ |
8 “It's obvious to me that you're just trying to buy time!” said the king. “You can see that I can't remember the dream.
| پادشاه در جواب گفت: «یقین می‌دانم که شما فرصت می‌جویید، چون می‌بینید که فرمان ازمن صادر شده است. | ۸ |
9 If you can't reveal the dream to me, you will all receive the same punishment! You have conspired against me, telling me lies, hoping things will change. So tell me what my dream was and then I'll know that you can explain what it means.”
| لیکن اگر خواب را به من اعلام ننمایید برای شما فقط یک حکم است. زیراکه سخنان دروغ و باطل را ترتیب داده‌اید که به حضور من بگویید تا وقت تبدیل شود. پس خواب را به من بگویید و خواهم دانست که آن راتعبیر توانید نمود.» | ۹ |
10 The astrologers answered the king, “No one on earth could tell the king what he dreamed! Never before has a king, however great and powerful, demanded this of any magician, enchanter, or astrologer!
| کلدانیان به حضور پادشاه جواب داده، گفتند، که «کسی بر روی زمین نیست که مطلب پادشاه را بیان تواند نمود، لهذا هیچ پادشاه یاحاکم یا سلطانی نیست که چنین امری را از هرمجوسی یا جادوگر یا کلدانی بپرسد. | ۱۰ |
11 What Your Majesty is asking is impossible! No one can tell Your Majesty what you dreamed, except the gods, and they do not live among us mortals.”
| و مطلبی که پادشاه می‌پرسد، چنان بدیع است که احدی غیراز خدایانی که مسکن ایشان با انسان نیست، نمی تواند آن را برای پادشاه بیان نماید.» | ۱۱ |
12 This made the king extremely angry, and he ordered all the wise men of Babylon executed.
| از این جهت پادشاه خشم نمود و به شدت غضبناک گردیده، امر فرمود که جمیع حکیمان بابل را هلاک کنند. | ۱۲ |
13 The decree was issued. The wise men were about to be executed, and the king's men went looking for Daniel and his friends.
| پس فرمان صادر شد و به صدد کشتن حکیمان برآمدند و دانیال و رفیقانش را می‌طلبیدند تا ایشان را به قتل رسانند. | ۱۳ |
14 Daniel approached Arioch, the commander of the imperial guard, whom the king had put in charge of the order to execute all the wise men of Babylon. Wisely and tactfully
| آنگاه دانیال با حکمت و عقل به اریوک رئیس جلادان پادشاه که برای کشتن حکیمان بابل بیرون می‌رفت، سخن گفت. | ۱۴ |
15 Daniel asked him, “Why would the king issue such a harsh decree?” So Arioch explained to Daniel what had happened.
| و اریوک سردار پادشاه راخطاب کرده، گفت: «چرا فرمان از حضور پادشاه چنین سخت است؟» آنگاه اریوک دانیال را از کیفیت امر مطلع ساخت. | ۱۵ |
16 Daniel immediately went to see the king and asked for more time to explain the dream and its meaning to him.
| و دانیال داخل شده، از پادشاه درخواست نمود که مهلت به وی داده شود تا تعبیر را برای پادشاه اعلام نماید. | ۱۶ |
17 Then Daniel went home and shared with Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah what was going on.
| پس دانیال به خانه خودرفته، رفقای خویش حننیا و میشائیل و عزریا رااز این امر اطلاع داد، | ۱۷ |
18 He told them to pray to the God of heaven, asking for help regarding this mystery, so that he and his friends would not be killed along with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.
| تا درباره این راز از خدای آسمانها رحمت بطلبند مبادا که دانیال و رفقایش با سایر حکیمان بابل هلاک شوند. | ۱۸ |
19 That night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven:
| آنگاه آن رازبه دانیال در رویای شب کشف شد. پس دانیال خدای آسمانها را متبارک خواند. | ۱۹ |
20 “Praise the wonderful nature of God forever and ever, for he is wise and powerful.
| و دانیال متکلم شده، گفت: «اسم خدا تا ابدلاباد متبارک بادزیرا که حکمت و توانایی از آن وی است. | ۲۰ |
21 He is in charge of time and history. He removes kings, and he sets kings in place. He gives wisdom to make people wise; he gives knowledge to people so they can understand.
| و اووقتها و زمانها را تبدیل می‌کند. پادشاهان رامعزول می‌نماید و پادشاهان را نصب می‌کند. حکمت را به حکیمان می‌بخشد وفطانت پیشه گان را تعلیم می‌دهد. | ۲۱ |
22 He reveals deep, mysterious things. He knows what lies in darkness, and light lives in his presence.
| اوست که چیزهای عمیق و پنهان را کشف می‌نماید. به آنچه در ظلمت است عارف می‌باشد و نور نزدوی ساکن است. | ۲۲ |
23 I give thanks and praise to you, God of my fathers, for you have given me wisdom and power. Now you have revealed to me what we asked you; you have revealed to us the king's dream.”
| ای خدای پدران من تو راشکر می‌گویم و تسبیح می‌خوانم زیرا که حکمت و توانایی را به من عطا فرمودی و الان آنچه را که از تو درخواست کرده‌ایم به من اعلام نمودی چونکه ما را از مقصود پادشاه اطلاع دادی.» | ۲۳ |
24 So Daniel went to Arioch whom the king had ordered to execute the wise men of Babylon and told him, “Don't execute the wise men of Babylon! Take me to see the king and I will explain to him his dream.”
| و از این جهت دانیال نزد اریوک که پادشاه او را به جهت هلاک ساختن حکمای بابل مامورکرده بود رفت، و به وی رسیده، چنین گفت که «حکمای بابل را هلاک مساز. مرا به حضورپادشاه ببر و تعبیر را برای پادشاه بیان خواهم نمود.» | ۲۴ |
25 Arioch immediately took Daniel to the king and told him, “I've found one of the captives from Judah who can tell Your Majesty what your dream means.”
| آنگاه اریوک دانیال را بزودی به حضورپادشاه رسانید و وی را چنین گفت که «شخصی را از اسیران یهودا یافته‌ام که تعبیر را برای پادشاه بیان تواند نمود.» | ۲۵ |
26 The king asked Daniel (also called Belteshazzar), “Are you really able to tell me what my dream was, and what it means?”
| پادشاه دانیال را که به بلطشصر مسمی بود خطاب کرده، گفت: «آیا تومی توانی خوابی را که دیده‌ام و تعبیرش را برای من بیان نمایی؟» | ۲۶ |
27 “No wise men or enchanters or magicians or diviners can explain the mystery Your Majesty wants to know,” Daniel replied.
| دانیال به حضور پادشاه جواب داد و گفت: «رازی را که پادشاه می‌طلبد، نه حکیمان و نه جادوگران و نه مجوسیان و نه منجمان می‌توانندآن را برای پادشاه حل کنند. | ۲۷ |
28 “But there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and he has revealed to King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in the last days. Your dream and the visions that came to your mind as you were lying in bed were these.
| لیکن خدایی در آسمان هست که کاشف اسرارمی باشد و او نبوکدنصر پادشاه را از آنچه در ایام آخر واقع خواهد شد اعلام نموده است. خواب تو و رویای سرت که در بسترت دیده‌ای این است: | ۲۸ |
29 As Your Majesty lay there, your thoughts turned to the future, and the revealer of mysteries showed you what would take place.
| ای پادشاه فکرهای تو بر بسترت درباره آنچه بعد از این واقع خواهد شد به‌خاطرت آمد وکاشف الاسرار، تو را از آنچه واقع خواهد شدمخبر ساخته است. | ۲۹ |
30 It's not because I have any more wisdom than anyone else that this mystery has been revealed to me, but to explain to Your Majesty what you were thinking about so you could understand.
| و اما این راز بر من ازحکمتی که من بیشتر از سایر زندگان دارم مکشوف نشده است، بلکه تا تعبیر بر پادشاه معلوم شود و فکرهای خاطر خود را بدانی. | ۳۰ |
31 Your Majesty, as you looked, there before you stood a great statue. The statue standing in front of you was huge, and blazingly bright. It looked terrifying!
| توای پادشاه می‌دیدی و اینک تمثال عظیمی بود واین تمثال بزرگ که درخشندگی آن بی‌نهایت ومنظر آن هولناک بود پیش روی تو برپا شد. | ۳۱ |
32 The head of the statue was gold, the chest and arms were silver, its middle and thighs were bronze,
| سراین تمثال از طلای خالص و سینه و بازوهایش ازنقره و شکم و رانهایش از برنج بود. | ۳۲ |
33 its legs were iron, and its feet were iron and baked clay.
| وساقهایش از آهن و پایهایش قدری از آهن وقدری از گل بود. | ۳۳ |
34 While you were watching, a stone was quarried, but not by human hands. It struck the iron and clay feet of the statue and smashed them to pieces.
| و مشاهده می‌نمودی تاسنگی بدون دستها جدا شده، پایهای آهنین وگلین آن تمثال را زد و آنها را خرد ساخت. | ۳۴ |
35 Then the rest of the statue—the bronze, the silver, and the gold—broke into pieces like the iron and clay. The wind blew them all away like chaff from the summer threshing floor, so that no trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.
| آنگاه آهن و گل و برنج و نقره و طلا با هم خردشد و مثل کاه خرمن تابستانی گردیده، باد آنها راچنان برد که جایی به جهت آنها یافت نشد. و آن سنگ که تمثال را زده بود کوه عظیمی گردید وتمامی جهان را پر ساخت. | ۳۵ |
36 This was the dream, and now we will explain what it means to the king.
| خواب همین است و تعبیرش را برای پادشاه بیان خواهیم نمود. | ۳۶ |
37 Your Majesty, you are the king of kings to whom the God of heaven has given the kingdom, and power, strength, and glory.
| ای پادشاه، تو پادشاه پادشاهان هستی زیراخدای آسمانها سلطنت و اقتدار و قوت وحشمت به تو داده است. | ۳۷ |
38 He gave you control over all peoples, as well as the wild animals and birds. He made you ruler of all of them. You are the head of gold.
| و در هر جایی که بنی آدم سکونت دارند حیوانات صحرا و مرغان هوا را به‌دست تو تسلیم نموده و تو را بر جمیع آنها مسلط گردانیده است. آن سر طلا تو هستی. | ۳۸ |
39 But after you another kingdom will rise that is inferior to your kingdom and will replace yours. After that a third kingdom that is bronze will rise and rule over the whole world.
| و بعد از تو سلطنتی دیگر پست‌تر از تو خواهدبرخاست و سلطنت سومی دیگر از برنج که برتمامی جهان سلطنت خواهد نمود. | ۳۹ |
40 The fourth kingdom will be strong as iron and in the same way that iron crushes and smashes everything; it will crush and smash all others.
| و سلطنت چهارم مثل آهن قوی خواهد بود زیرا آهن همه‌چیز را خرد و نرم می‌سازد. پس چنانکه آهن همه‌چیز را نرم می‌کند، همچنان آن نیز خرد و نرم خواهد ساخت. | ۴۰ |
41 You saw the feet and toes made from iron and baked clay, and this indicates it will be a divided kingdom. It will have some of the strength of iron but mixed with clay.
| و چنانکه پایها و انگشتها رادیدی که قدری از گل کوزه‌گر و قدری از آهن بود، همچنان این سلطنت منقسم خواهد شد وقدری از قوت آهن در آن خواهد ماند موافق آنچه دیدی که آهن با گل سفالین آمیخته شده بود. | ۴۱ |
42 As the toes were partly iron and partly clay, the kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle.
| و اما انگشتهای پایهایش قدری از آهن وقدری از گل بود، همچنان این سلطنت قدری قوی و قدری زودشکن خواهد بود. | ۴۲ |
43 In the same way that you saw the iron mixed with ordinary clay, so the people will mix but they will not stick together just as iron and clay do not mix.
| و چنانکه دیدی که آهن با گل سفالین آمیخته شده بود، همچنین اینها خویشتن را با ذریت انسان آمیخته خواهند کرد. اما به نحوی که آهن با گل ممزوج نمی شود، همچنین اینها با یکدیگر ملصق نخواهند شد. | ۴۳ |
44 During the time of these kings the God of heaven will set up an eternal kingdom that will never be destroyed or taken over by others. It will crush all these kingdoms, bringing them to an end, and it will last forever,
| و در ایام این پادشاهان خدای آسمانها سلطنتی را که تا ابدالاباد زایل نشود، برپاخواهد نمود و این سلطنت به قومی دیگر منتقل نخواهد شد، بلکه تمامی آن سلطنتها را خردکرده، مغلوب خواهد ساخت و خودش تا ابدالاباد استوار خواهد ماند. | ۴۴ |
45 in the same way that you saw the stone quarried from the mountain, but not by human hands, crush the iron, bronze, clay, silver, and gold. The great God has revealed to Your Majesty what is to come. The dream is true, and the explanation is trustworthy.”
| و چنانکه سنگ را دیدی که بدون دستها از کوه جدا شده، آهن وبرنج و گل و نقره و طلا را خرد کرد، همچنین خدای عظیم پادشاه را از آنچه بعد از این واقع می‌شود مخبر ساخته است. پس خواب صحیح وتعبیرش یقین است.» | ۴۵ |
46 Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell down before Daniel and worshiped him, and ordered offerings of grain and incense to be made to him.
| آنگاه نبوکدنصر پادشاه به روی خوددرافتاده، دانیال را سجده نمود و امر فرمود که هدایا و عطریات برای او بگذرانند. | ۴۶ |
47 The king said to Daniel, “Truly, your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, the revealer of mysteries, for you have been able to reveal this mystery.”
| و پادشاه دانیال را خطاب کرده، گفت: «به درستی که خدای شما خدای خدایان و خداوند پادشاهان و کاشف اسرار است، چونکه تو قادر بر کشف این رازشده‌ای.» | ۴۷ |
48 Then the king promoted Daniel to a high position and gave him many expensive gifts, making him governor over the whole province of Babylon and head of all the wise men of Babylon.
| پس پادشاه دانیال را معظم ساخت وهدایای بسیار و عظیم به او داد و او را بر تمامی ولایت بابل حکومت داد و رئیس روسا بر جمیع حکمای بابل ساخت. | ۴۸ |
49 At Daniel's request, the king placed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in charge of the province of Babylon, and Daniel remained at the king's court.
| و دانیال از پادشاه درخواست نمود تا شدرک و میشک و عبدنغو رابر کارهای ولایت بابل نصب کرد و اما دانیال دردروازه پادشاه می‌بود. | ۴۹ |
