< Amos 7 >
1 This is what the Lord God showed me. I saw that he was preparing a swarm of locusts just when the spring crops began to grow. (Spring crops begin to grow right after the time when the king's hay is cut.)
Oasr aruruma se nga liye sin LEUM GOD Fulat. In aruruma se inge nga liye El orala u in locust na lulap se tukunna pacl se kosreyukla mah nun kosro nutin tokosra, ac sruen mah uh mutawauk in srunak.
2 And so when the locusts finished eating every green plant in the fields, I pleaded with the Lord God, “Please forgive your people! How can the descendants of Jacob survive? They are so weak.”
Ke aruruma sac nga liye ke locust uh mutawauk in kangla mah ac sra nukewa fin acn uh, na nga fahk, “LEUM GOD Fulat, nunak munas nu sin mwet in fwil natul Jacob! Elos ac moulla fuka? Elos arulana munas!”
3 So the Lord changed his mind. “It won't happen,” said the Lord.
Na LEUM GOD El ekulla nunak lal ac fahk, “Ma kom liye uh ac fah tia sikyak.”
4 This is what the Lord God showed me. I saw that the Lord God was calling for a judgment of fire. The fire burned up the depths of the sea and destroyed the farmland.
Nga sifil liye sie aruruma sin LEUM GOD Fulat. In aruruma sac, nga liye El akoo in kalyei mwet lal ke e. E sac furreak meoa lulap ye faclu, ac mutawauk in esukak acn uh.
5 I pleaded with the Lord God, “Please stop! How can the descendants of Jacob survive? They are so weak.”
Na nga fahk, “O LEUM GOD Fulat, tulokinya e u! Mwet lom uh ac moulla fuka? Elos arulana pu ac munas!”
6 So the Lord changed his mind. “This too won't happen,” said the Lord.
Na LEUM GOD El sifilpa ekulla nunak lal ac fahk, “Ma se inge ac fah tia pac sikyak.”
7 This is what he showed me. I saw the Lord was standing beside a wall that had been built with a plumb line. He was holding a plumb line in his hand.
Na nga sifil liye sie aruruma sin LEUM GOD. In aruruma se inge nga liye El tu sisken soko pot, ma mwet musa elos tuh orekmakin soko ah in aksuwos ke elos musai, ac LEUM GOD El sruok ah in aksuwos soko in paol.
8 And the Lord asked me, “Amos, what do you see?” I replied, “A plumb line.” And the Lord God said, “I am placing a plumb line in the midst of my people Israel. I won't ignore their sins anymore.
El siyuk sik, “Amos, mea kom liye?” Na nga fahk, “Ah in aksuwos soko.” Na El fahk, “Nga orekmakin ah soko inge in akkalemye lah mwet luk elos oana soko pot ma kihla. Nga ac fah tia sifil ekulla nunak luk lah nga ac kalyaelos.
9 The high places of the descendents of Isaac will be torn down, and the holy places of Israel will be destroyed. Sword in hand, I will rise up against the house of Jeroboam.”
Acn nukewa mwet in fwil natul Isaac alu we ac fah kunanula. Acn mutal lun Israel ac fah sruala. Nga ac wotela tokosrai lun sou lal Tokosra Jeroboam in wanginla.”
10 Then Amaziah, priest of Bethel, sent a message to Jeroboam, king of Israel, saying, “Amos is plotting against you among the people of Israel. What he's saying is unbearable!
Na Amaziah, mwet tol fulat in acn Bethel, el supwala kas nu yorol Tokosra Jeroboam lun Israel, su fahk ouinge: “Amos el fahk kas in lain kom inmasrlon mwet uh. Sramsram lal uh ac kunausla facl se inge.
11 For he's saying Jeroboam will be killed by the sword, and the people will be taken away from their land into exile.”
Pa inge ma el fahk, ‘Jeroboam el fah misa ke mweun, ac mwet Israel fah utukla liki acn selos nu in sruoh.’”
12 Amaziah said to Amos, “Go away prophet! Run away to the land of Judah. Go and prophesy there to earn your bread.
Na Amaziah el fahk nu sel Amos, “Mwet palu, folokla nu Judah ac oru luti lom in acn we. Lela mwet we in moli nu sum.
13 But don't ever prophesy again at Bethel, for this is where the king worships, the national Temple.”
Nimet sifilpa palu in acn Bethel. Acn in alu sin tokosra ac mwet in facl se inge nufon pa inge.”
14 But Amos replied, “I'm not a trained prophet, or the son of a prophet. I was just a shepherd, and also took care of fig trees.
Na Amos el topuk, “Nga tia palu in moul nu sik. Nga sie mwet liyaung sheep, ac nga orekma ke sak fig.
15 The Lord took me from following my flock, and the Lord told me, ‘Go, and give my message to my people of Israel.’”
Tuh pa LEUM GOD El eisyula liki orekma in mwet shepherd, ac sap nga in tuku ac palu nu sin mwet lal, mwet Israel.
16 So now hear what the Lord is telling you: You say, “Don't prophesy against Israel, and don't preach against the descendants of Isaac.”
Inge, lohng ma LEUM GOD El fahk. Kom fahk nu sik nga in tia palu ac in tia kaskas lain mwet Israel.
17 But this is what the Lord says: Your wife will become a prostitute in the city; your sons and daughters will be killed by the sword. Your land will be measured and divided up, and you yourself will die in a foreign land. The people of Israel will definitely be taken from the land and go into exile.
Ke kom fahk ouinge, Amaziah, LEUM GOD El fahk nu sum, ‘Mutan kiom an ac fah ekla sie mutan kosro su eis molin kosro lal in siti uh, ac tulik nutum ac fah anwuki ke mweun. Acn sum ac fah kitakatelik ac itukyang nu sin kutu pacna mwet, ac kom sifacna ac fah misa in facl sin mwet pegan. Pwayena mwet Israel fah utukla liki acn selos nu in sruoh.’”
