Acts 8
1 Saul approved of his killing. On that very day terrible persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and everyone except for the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.
၁သူ့ ကိုကွပ်မျက် သောအမှုကိုရှောလု သည်လည်း ဝန်ခံ လျက်ရှိ ၏။ထိုအခါ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့၌ ရှိသော အသင်းတော် သည် ပြင်းစွာ သောညှဉ်းဆဲ ခြင်းကိုခံရသဖြင့် တမန်တော် တို့မှတပါး သင်းဝင်သူအပေါင်း တို့သည် ယုဒ ပြည်၊ ရှမာရိ ပြည်အရပ်ရပ် တို့၌ အနှံ့အပြားကွဲပြား ကြ၏။
2 (Some faithful followers of God buried Stephen, with great mourning.)
၂တရားကိုရိုသေ သောသူ တို့သည် သတေဖန် ကို သင်္ဂြိုဟ် ၍ ပြင်းစွာ သောငိုကြွေး မြည်တမ်းခြင်းကို ပြု ကြ၏။
3 But Saul set about destroying the church, going from house to house, dragging both men and women off to prison.
၃ရှောလု သည် အသင်းတော် ကိုဖျက်ဆီး လေ၏။ အိမ် များသို့ ဝင် ပြီးလျှင်ယောက်ျား မိန်းမ တို့ကို ဆွဲငင် ၍ ထောင် ထဲ၌ လှောင် ထားတတ်၏။
4 Those who had been scattered spread the word wherever they went.
၄ထိုကြောင့် အရပ်ရပ်သို့ကွဲပြား သော သူ တို့သည် လှည့်လည် ၍ နှုတ်ကပတ် တော်တည်းဟူသောဧဝံဂေလိတရားကို ဟောပြော ကြ၏။
5 Philip went to the town of Samaria, and told them about the Messiah.
၅ဖိလိပ္ပု သည်လည်း၊ ရှမာရိ မြို့ သို့ သွား ၍ ခရစ်တော် ၏ အကြောင်းကိုဟော လေ၏။
6 When the crowds heard what Philip was saying and saw the miracles he did they all paid attention to what he was telling them.
၆လူ အစုအဝေးတို့သည်ကြား ၍ ဖိလိပ္ပု ပြု သော နိမိတ် လက္ခဏာတို့ကို မြင် သောအခါ၊ သူ၏စကား ကို တစ် ညီတစ်ညွတ်တည်း နားထောင် ကြ ၏။
7 Many were freed from possession by evil spirits that screamed as they came out, and many who were lame or disabled were healed.
၇အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ နတ် ဆိုး စွဲ သော သူ များတို့၏ အထဲမှ နတ်ဆိုးတို့သည် ပြင်းစွာ သော အသံ နှင့် အော်ဟစ် လျက်ထွက်သွား ကြ၏။ ကိုယ် မလှုပ်နိုင်သောသူ၊ ခြေမစွမ်း သောသူအများ တို့သည်လည်း ပကတိ အဖြစ် သို့ရောက်ကြ၏။
8 The people who lived in the city were overjoyed.
၈ထို မြို့သူ မြို့သားတို့သည် အလွန် ဝမ်းမြောက် ခြင်းရှိ ကြ၏။
9 Now there was a man named Simon who lived in the city. He practiced sorcery. He claimed that he was someone very important, and had astounded the people of Samaria
၉ရှိမုန် အမည် ရှိသော သူ တစ် ယောက်သည်၊ ထိုမြို့ ၌ နတ် ဝိဇ္ဇာအတတ်နှင့် ပြုပြင်၍၊ ငါ သည်ထူးဆန်း သော သူ ဖြစ် သည်ဟုဆို လျက်၊ ရှမာရိ အမျိုးသား တို့ကို မိန်းမော တွေဝေစေခြင်းငှာပြု၏။
10 so they all paid attention to him. From the lowest to the highest in society they said, “This man is ‘God the Great Power.’”
၁၀လူကြီး လူငယ် ရှိသမျှတို့က လည်း၊ ဤသူ သည် ဘုရားသခင် ၏ မဟာ တန်ခိုး တော်ဖြစ် သည်ဟု ဆို လျက် ထိုသူ ၌ဆည်းကပ် ကြ၏။
11 They were impressed by him because he had amazed them with his magic for so long.
၁၁ဆည်းကပ် သည်အကြောင်း ကား၊ သူ တို့ကို မိန်းမော တွေဝေစေခြင်းငှာထိုသူသည် နတ် ဝိဇ္ဇာအတတ်အားဖြင့် ကြာမြင့် စွာပြုလျက်နေ၏။
12 But when they believed in what Philip told them about the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
၁၂ဖိလိပ္ပု သည် ဘုရားသခင် ၏နိုင်ငံ တော်၌၎င်း၊ ယေရှု ခရစ် ၏ နာမ တော်နှင့် ၎င်း စပ်ဆိုင် သော ဧဝံဂေလိ တရားကို ဟောပြော၍ ထိုသူ တို့သည် ယုံကြည် သောအခါ ၊ ယောက်ျား မိန်းမ တို့သည် ဗတ္တိဇံ ကို ခံကြ၏။
13 Simon too believed and was baptized. He accompanied Philip, amazed at the miraculous signs and wonders he saw.
၁၃ရှိမုန် သည်လည်း ကိုယ်တိုင် ယုံကြည် သည်ဖြစ်၍ ဗတ္တိဇံ ကို ခံပြီးမှ ဖိလိပ္ပု ထံ၌မှီဝဲ ဆည်းကပ်သဖြင့်၊ ထူးဆန်းသော တန်ခိုး ကြီး သော နိမိတ် လက္ခဏာများကို မြင် ၍ မိန်းမော တွေဝေလျက်ရှိ လေ၏။
14 When the apostles back in Jerusalem heard that the people of Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to visit them.
၁၄ရှမာရိ မြို့သားတို့သည် ဘုရားသခင် ၏ နှုတ်ကပတ် တရားတော်ကို ခံယူ ကြပြီဟု ယေရုရှလင် မြို့၌ ရှိသော တမန်တော် တို့သည် သိတင်း ကြား လျှင် ၊ ပေတရု နှင့် ယောဟန် တို့ကို စေလွှတ် ကြ၏။
15 When they arrived they prayed for the converts in Samaria to receive the Holy Spirit.
၁၅ထိုမြို့သူမြို့သားတို့သည် သခင် ယေရှု ၏နာမ ၌ ဗတ္တိဇံ ကို ခံရုံ မျှသာ ရှိ သဖြင့် ၊
16 The Holy Spirit hadn't come to any of these converts yet—they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
၁၆တစ်စုံတစ်ယောက် သောသူ အပေါ် ၌သန့်ရှင်း သော ဝိညာဉ်တော်သည် သက်ရောက် တော် မ မူသေးသည် ဖြစ်၍၊ တမန်တော်တို့သည် ရောက်ကြလျှင်၊ ဝိညာဉ် တော် ကိုခံရ မည်အကြောင်း ထိုမြို့သူမြို့သားတို့ အဘို့ ဆုတောင်း ၍၊
17 The apostles placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
၁၇ထိုသူ တို့အပေါ် ၌လက် ကိုတင် သောအားဖြင့်သူတို့သည် သန့်ရှင်း သောဝိညာဉ် တော်ကိုခံရ ကြ၏။
18 When Simon saw that the Holy Spirit was given when the apostles placed their hands on people, he offered them money.
၁၈တမန်တော် တို့လက် ကိုတင် သောအားဖြင့် သန့်ရှင်းသော ဝိညာဉ် တော်သက်ရောက် သည်ကို ရှိမုန် မြင် လျှင်၊ ငွေ ကိုယူဆောင် ခဲ့၍၊
19 “Give me this power, too,” he asked them, “so that anyone I place my hands on will receive the Holy Spirit.”
၁၉အကျွန်ုပ် ၏ လက် တင် ခြင်းကိုခံရသောသူ သည် သန့်ရှင်း သော ဝိညာဉ် တော်ကိုခံ စေမည်အကြောင်း အကျွန်ုပ် အား အခွင့် ပေး ပါဟု တောင်း သော်၊
20 “May your money be destroyed together with you for thinking God's gift is something that can be bought!” Peter replied.
၂၀ပေတရု က၊ ဘုရားသခင် ၏ကျေးဇူး တော်ကို ငွေ နှင့်ဝယ်ယူ မည် ဟု အကြံရှိ သောကြောင့် ၊ သင် နှင့်တကွ သင် ၏ ငွေ သည်ပျက်စီး ခြင်းသို့ ရောက် ပါစေ။
21 “You're not part of any of this. None of this work belongs to you, because in God's eyes your attitude is totally wrong.
၂၁သင် သည်ဤ အမှုအရာ နှင့် မ ဆက်ဆံ သော သူဖြစ် ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ သင် ၏စိတ် နှလုံးသည် ဘုရားသခင့် ရှေ့ တော်၌ ဖြောင့်မတ် ခြင်းမ ရှိ ။
22 Repent of your evil ways! Pray to the Lord and ask forgiveness for thinking like this.
၂၂ထိုကြောင့် သင် ၌ ယခု ဆိုးညစ် သောအမှု ကို နောင်တရ လော့။ သင် ၏စိတ် နှလုံး၌ကြံစည် ခြင်းအပြစ်ကို လွှတ်ကောင်း လွှတ် လိမ့်မည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ဘုရားသခင် ကို တောင်းပန် လော့။
23 I can see that you are full of bitter envy, and chained down by your sin.”
၂၃သင် သည်ခါး စွာသောသည်းခြေ စွဲသည်ဖြစ်၍ ၊ ဒုစရိုက် အနှောင်အဖွဲ့ နှင့်မလွတ်ကြောင်းကို ငါသိမြင် သည်ဟုဆို ၏။
24 “Please pray for me, that nothing you've said may happen to me!” Simon replied.
၂၄ရှိမုန် ကလည်း၊ မိန့် တော်မူသောအရာ တစ်စုံတစ်ခု မျှ အကျွန်ုပ် အပေါ်သို့ မရောက် ပါမည် အကြောင်း ၊ ထာဝရ ဘုရားကို ကျွန်ုပ် အဘို့ အလိုငှာ ဆုတောင်း တော်မူကြပါဟု ပြန်ပြော ၏။
25 After they had given their testimony and shared the word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem, sharing the good news in many Samaritan villages along the way.
၂၅တမန်တော် တို့သည် သက်သေခံ ၍ သခင်ဘုရား ၏နှုတ်ကပတ် တရားတော်ကိုဟော ပြီးမှ၊ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့ သို့ ပြန်သွား ရာ၊ ရှမာရိ ရွာ များ တို့၌လည်း ဧဝံဂေလိတရားကို ဟောပြော ကြ၏။
26 An angel of the Lord told Philip, “Get ready and go south to the desert road that leads from Jerusalem to Gaza.”
၂၆တဖန် ထာဝရ ဘုရား၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန် သည် ဖိလိပ္ပု အား ၊ သင်ထ ၍ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့မှ ဂါဇ မြို့ သို့ သွား ရာ တော လမ်း တွင် တောင် မျက်နှာသို့ သွား လော့ ဟု ဆို သည်အတိုင်း ၊ ဖိလိပ္ပုသည်ထ ၍ သွား လေ၏။
27 So Philip set out, and met an Ethiopian man, a eunuch who had a high position in the service of the Kandake, Queen of Ethiopia. He was her chief treasurer. He had gone to Jerusalem to worship there, and
၂၇ထိုအခါ အဲသယောပိ ပြည်ကိုအစိုးရ သော မိဖုရား ကန္ဒက် ထံ၌ဘုန်းကြီးသောအမတ်ဖြစ်၍၊ ဘဏ္ဍာ တော်ရှိသမျှ ကို အုပ်စိုး ရသော အဲသယောပိ ပြည်သားတစ်ယောက်သည် ကိုးကွယ် ခြင်းငှာယေရုရှလင် မြို့ သို့ သွား ၍၊
28 was returning from his trip, sitting in his chariot. He was reading out loud from the book of the prophet Isaiah.
၂၈ပြန် စဉ်တွင် မိမိ ရထား ပေါ်၌ ထိုင် လျက် ပရောဖက် ဟေရှာယ ၏ ကျမ်းစာကိုဖတ် လေ၏။
29 The Spirit told Philip, “Go over close to the chariot.”
၂၉ဝိညာဉ် တော်ကလည်း၊ ထို ရထား သို့ ချဉ်းကပ် ၍ မှီဝဲ လော့ဟု ဖိလိပ္ပု အား ဗျာဒိတ် ပေးတော်မူသဖြင့်၊
30 So Philip ran over, and heard the man reading from the prophet Isaiah. “Do you understand what you're reading?” Philip asked him.
၃၀ဖိလိပ္ပု သည် ရထားသို့ပြေး ၍ ပရောဖက် ဟေရှာယ ၏ ကျမ်းစာ၌ ဘတ် သည်ကိုကြား လျှင်၊ ဘတ် သောအရာ ကို နားလည် ပါ၏ လောဟု မေးမြန်း ၏။
31 “How can I, unless someone explains it?” the man replied. He invited Philip to get in and sit beside him.
၃၁ထိုအမတ်ကလည်း၊ သွန်သင် ပဲ့ပြင်သော သူ မ ရှိလျှင် အဘယ်သို့ နားလည်နိုင် မည်နည်းဟု ဆို ပြီးမှ မိမိ နှင့်အတူ ဖိလိပ္ပု တက် ၍ထိုင် နေ ပါမည်အကြောင်း တောင်းပန် ၏။
32 The Scripture passage he was reading was this: “He was led like a sheep to be slaughtered. Like a lamb is silent in front of his shearer, he didn't say a word.
၃၂ကျမ်းစာ ၌ ဘတ် သောအချက် ဟူမူကား၊ အသေ သတ် ခြင်းငှာ ဆောင်သွားသော သိုး ကဲ့သို့ သူ့ကို ဆောင်သွား ၍ ၊ သိုးသငယ် သည် အမွေးညှပ် သောသူ ရှေ့ မှာ မ မြည်ဘဲ နေသကဲ့သို့ သူ သည်နှုတ် ကိုမ ဖွင့် ဘဲနေ၏။
33 He was humiliated and denied justice. No one can speak of his descendants, for his life came to an end.”
၃၃နှိမ့်ချ ခြင်းကိုခံစဉ်တွင်သူတစ်ပါးတို့သည် ထိုသူ ကို မတရား သဖြင့်စီရင် ကြ၏။ ထိုသူ ၏အသက် ကို မြေကြီး ကသိမ်းရုပ် သည်ဖြစ်၍ ၊ သူ ၏အမျိုးအနွယ် ကို အဘယ်သူ ပြညွှန် မည်နည်းဟု ကျမ်းစာလာသတည်း။
34 The eunuch asked Philip, “Tell me, who is the prophet talking about? Is it himself, or someone else?”
၃၄ထိုအမတ်ကလည်း၊ ပရောဖက် သည် အဘယ်သူ ကို ရည်မှတ် ၍ ဤသို့ ဆို ပါသနည်း။ ကိုယ် ကိုတည်း ဆိုလို သလော။ သူတစ်ပါး ကိုတည်း ဆိုလို သလောဟု တောင်းပန် လျက်၊
35 Philip started explaining, beginning from this Scripture, telling him about Jesus.
၃၅ဖိလိပ္ပု အား မေးမြန်း လျှင်၊ ဖိလိပ္ပု သည် မိမိ နှုတ် ကိုဖွင့် ၍ ထို ကျမ်းစာချက်ကို အစွဲပြုလျက်၊ ယေရှု ၏အကြောင်းတည်းဟူသောဧဝံဂေလိ တရားကို ဟောလေ၏။
36 As they continued on, they came to a stretch of water. The eunuch said, “Look, there's water here—why shouldn't I be baptized?”
၃၆ထိုသို့ လမ်း ၌သွား ကြစဉ် ရေ ရှိရာသို့ ရောက် ၍၊ အမတ် ကလည်း ဤအရပ်တွင်ရေ ရှိပါ၏။ အကျွန်ုပ် ကို ဗတ္တိဇံ မခံစေခြင်းငှာမည်သည့် အကြောင်းဆီးတား ပါသနည်းဟု ပြောဆို လျှင် ၊
၃၇ဖိလိပ္ပုက၊ သင်သည် စိတ်နှလုံးအကြွင်းမဲ့ယုံကြည်လျှင် ခံရသည် ဟုဆိုလေ၏။ အမတ်ကလည်း၊ ယေရှုခရစ်သည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ သားတော်ဖြစ်တော်မူကြောင်းကို အကျွန်ုပ်ယုံကြည်ပါသည်ဟု ဝန်ခံ၍၊
38 He ordered that the chariot be stopped. Philip and the eunuch both went down into the water and Philip baptized him.
၃၈ရထား ကိုရပ် စေခြင်းငှာစီရင် ပြီးမှ ၊ ဖိလိပ္ပု သည် ထိုအမတ် နှင့်တကွ ရေ ထဲသို့ ဆင်း ၍ ဗတ္တိဇံ ကိုပေး၏။
39 When they came out of the water the Spirit of the Lord took Philip away. The eunuch never saw him again, but he continued on his way full of joy. Philip found himself at Azotus.
၃၉ရေ ထဲက တက် ကြလျှင် ၊ထာဝရ ဘုရား၏ ဝိညာဉ် တော်သည် ဖိလိပ္ပု ကိုဆောင်ယူ တော်မူ၍ ၊ အမတ် သည် ဖိလိပ္ပု ကို နောက်တဖန်မ တွေ့ မမြင်ရ။ ဝမ်းမြောက် ဝမ်းသာခြင်းနှင့် မိမိ သွားရသောလမ်း ကို သွား လေ၏။
40 He spread the good news in all the towns along the way until he arrived at Caesarea.
၄၀ဖိလိပ္ပု သည်လည်း အာဇုတ် မြို့၌ ပေါ်လာ၍၊ ထိုမြို့မှကဲသရိ မြို့တိုင်အောင်မြို့ ရွာအစဉ်အတိုင်း ရှောက်သွား ၍ ဧဝံဂေလိ တရားကို ဟောလေ၏။
