Acts 10
1 In Caesarea lived a man named Cornelius who was a Roman centurion of the Italian battalion.
၁ကဲသရိ မြို့၌ ဣတလိ တပ်ဟု ခေါ်ဝေါ် သော တပ် တွင် လူတရာ ကိုအုပ်ချုပ်သော တပ်မှူး ကော်နေလိ အမည် တွင်သော သူ တစ် ယောက်ရှိ ၏။
2 He was a religious man who, together with everyone in his household, had great reverence for God. He gave generously to the poor, and prayed regularly to God.
၂ထိုသူသည် မိမိ အိမ် တွင်ရှိသမျှ သော သူတို့နှင့်တကွ ဘုရားဝတ်၌ မွေ့လျော် ၍ ဘုရားသခင် ကို ကြောက်ရွံ့ ခြင်းရှိသဖြင့် လူ တို့အားများစွာ သော စွန့်ကြဲ ခြင်းကိုပြု ၍ ဘုရားသခင် ကို အစဉ် ဆုတောင်း လေ့ရှိ၏။
3 At about 3 p.m. one day he had a vision in which he saw very clearly an angel of God who came to him and called to him, “Cornelius!”
၃တစ်နေ့သ၌ နေသုံးချက်တီး အချိန် တွင် ဘုရားသခင် ၏ ကောင်းကင်တမန် သည်၊ ကော်နေလိ ဟု ခေါ် လျက် ရောက်လာ သည်ကို ထိုသူ သည် ထင်ရှား သော ဗျာဒိတ် ရူပါရုံအားဖြင့် မြင် ရ၏။
4 Frightened, Cornelius stared at him and asked, “What do you want, Lord?” “God has paid attention to your prayers, and recognized your generosity to the poor,” he told Cornelius.
၄ကောင်းကင် တမန်ကို စေ့စေ့ ကြည့်လျှင် ထိတ်လန့် ခြင်းရှိသည် ဖြစ်၍ ၊ သခင် ၊ အဘယ် အခင်းရှိ ပါ သနည်းဟု မေး သော် ၊ ကောင်းကင်တမန်က၊ သင် ပြု သောဆုတောင်း ပဌနာနှင့် စွန့်ကြဲ ပေးကမ်းခြင်းတို့သည် ဘုရားသခင့် ရှေ့ တော်၌ အောက်မေ့ စရာဘို့ တက် ကြပြီ။
5 “Now send some men to Joppa, and fetch Simon, also called Peter,
၅ထိုကြောင့် ယခုပင် ယုပ္ပေ မြို့သို့ လူ တို့ကိုစေလွှတ် ၍ ၊ ပေတရု အမည် သစ်ကိုရသော ရှိမုန် ကိုခေါ်ပင့် လော့။
6 who is staying at Simon the tanner's house down by the sea-shore.”
၆ထိုသူ သည်သားရေ လုပ်သမားရှိမုန် ၏ အိမ်၌ တည်း နေ၏။ ထို အိမ် သည် ပင်လယ် နား မှာ ရှိ သည်ဟု ပြောဆို၏။
7 When the angel who had spoken to him had left, Cornelius called in two of his house-servants and a soldier of his personal guard, a religious man.
၇ထိုသို့ ပြောဆို သော ကောင်းကင်တမန် သွား ပြီးမှ ၊ ကော်နေလိသည် မိမိငယ်သား နှစ် ယောက်နှင့်တကွ မိမိ ထံ၌မပြတ်ခစား သောလူစုအဝင်၊ ဘုရားဝတ်၌ မွေ့လျော် သော စစ်သူရဲ တစ်ယောက်ကိုခေါ် ၍ ၊
8 After he'd explained to them all that had happened he sent them to Joppa.
၈ထိုအကြောင်းအရာအလုံးစုံ တို့ကို ကြားပြော ပြီးမှယုပ္ပေ မြို့သို့ စေလွှတ် ၏။
9 The next day, as they were on their way and approaching the city, Peter went up onto the top of the house to pray. It was about noon,
၉နက်ဖြန် နေ့၌ ထိုသူ တို့သည် သွား ၍ ယုပ္ပေမြို့ အနီး သို့ ရောက်ကြသောအခါ ၊ နှစ်ချက်တီးအချိန် တွင် ပေတရု သည် ဆုတောင်း ခြင်းငှာအိမ်မိုး ပေါ်သို့ တက် လေ ၏။
10 and he was getting hungry, wanting to eat. But while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance, and
၁၀ဆာမွတ် ၍ အစာ အာဟာရကို အလိုရှိ လျှင် သူတစ်ပါးတို့သည် အစာအာဟာရကို ပြင်ဆင် ကြစဉ်အခါပေတရုသည် ဘဝင် ဖြစ်၍နေသဖြင့်၊
11 he saw heaven opened. He saw something coming down that looked like a large sheet held by its four corners, being lowered onto the earth.
၁၁ကောင်းကင် ဖွင့်လှစ် သည်ကို၎င်း ၊ ခြုံထည် ကဲ့သို့ လေး ထောင့် ချုပ်၍ မြေ သို့ ချ လွှတ်သော တန်ဆာ သည် မိမိဆီသို့ဆင်းသက် လာသည် ကို၎င်းမြင် လေ၏။
12 Inside were all kinds of animals and reptiles and birds.
၁၂ထို တန်ဆာထဲ၌ သားရဲ မှစ၍ မြေ ၌ကျင်လည်သောသားမျိုး၊ တွား တတ်သော တိရစ္ဆာန်မျိုး၊ မိုဃ်း ကောင်းကင်၌ ကျင်လည်သော ငှက် မျိုး တို့သည်ရှိ ကြ၏။
13 He heard a voice say, “Get up Peter, kill and eat!”
၁၃စကား အသံသည်လည်း ၊ ပေတရု ထ ၍ သတ် စား လော့ဟု လာ ၏။
14 But Peter replied, “Certainly not, Lord! I have never eaten anything that is impure and unclean.”
၁၄ပေတရု ကလည်း ၊ မ ဖြစ်နိုင်ပါသခင် ။ ညစ်ညူး သောအရာ နှင့် မ စင်ကြယ်သောအရာကို အကျွန်ုပ်သည် တရံတစ်ခါ မျှမစား ဘူးပါဟု ပြောဆို ၏။
15 He heard the voice speak again, “Don't you call unclean what God has made clean!”
၁၅နောက်တစ်ဖန် စကား သံကား၊ ဘုရားသခင် စင်ကြယ် စေတော်မူသောအရာ ကို ညစ်ညူး သည်မ ထင် နှင့်ဟု လာပြန်၏။
16 This happened three times, and then the sheet was quickly taken back into heaven.
၁၆ထိုသို့ သုံး ကြိမ်မြောက်အောင်လာ ပြီးလျှင်၊ ထိုတန်ဆာ ကို ကောင်းကင် ထဲသို့ သိမ်းရုပ် ပြန်လေ၏။
17 While Peter was puzzling over what the vision he'd seen really meant, the men sent by Cornelius had found out where Simon's house was and were standing at the gate.
၁၇ပေတရု သည် မိမိမြင် ရသော ဗျာဒိတ် ရူပါရုံ ကား၊ အဘယ်သို့ ဆိုလို သနည်းဟု တွေးတော ဆင်ခြင်၍ နေစဉ်တွင်၊ ကော်နေလိ စေလွှတ် သောသူ တို့သည် ရှိမုန် အိမ် ကို မေးမြန်း ရှာဖွေ၍ တံခါး ရှေ့မှာ ရပ် လျက်၊
18 They called out, asking whether Simon, also called Peter, was staying there.
၁၈ပေတရု အမည် သစ်ကိုရသော ရှိမုန် သည် ဤမှာတည်း နေပါ သလောဟု မေးမြန်း ဟစ်ခေါ် ကြ၏။
19 While Peter was still wondering about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Look, there are three men looking for you.
၁၉ပေတရုသည်ထိုဗျာဒိတ် ရူပါရုံကို ဆင်ခြင် ၍နေစဉ်တွင် ဝိညာဉ် တော်က၊ လူ သုံး ယောက်တို့သည် သင့် ကိုရှာ ကြ၏။
20 Get up, go downstairs, and go with them. Don't worry at all because I'm the one who sent them.”
၂၀ထ ၍ဆင်း လော့။ တွေးတော ခြင်းမ ရှိဘဲ ထိုသူ တို့နှင့်အတူ လိုက် သွားလော့။ အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ ထိုသူ တို့သည် ငါ စေလွှတ် သော သူဖြစ်ကြသည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူလျှင်၊
21 So Peter went downstairs to meet the men. “I'm the one you're looking for,” he said. “Why are you here?”
၂၁ပေတရု သည်ဆင်း ၍ ၊ ငါ ကား၊ သင်တို့ရှာ သော သူ ဖြစ် ၏။ အဘယ် အကြောင်း ရှိ၍ လာ ကြသနည်းဟု ထိုသူ တို့အား မေး ၏။
22 “We come from Cornelius, a good, religious man who has reverence for God and is widely respected among the Jewish people,” they replied. “A holy angel instructed him to send for you to come to his house so he can hear what you have to tell him.”
၂၂ထိုသူတို့ကလည်း ဘုရားသခင် ကိုကြောက်ရွံ့ ၍ ၊ ယုဒ လူ အပေါင်း တို့တွင် အသရေ ရှိသော သူတော်ကောင်း တည်းဟူသောတပ်မှူး ကော်နေလိ သည်၊ ကိုယ်တော် ကို မိမိ အိမ် သို့ ခေါ်ပင့် ၍ ကိုယ်တော် ၏ စကား ကို နားထောင် ရမည်အကြောင်း၊ သန့်ရှင်း သော ကောင်းကင်တမန် အားဖြင့် ဗျာဒိတ် တော်ကို ခံရပါသည်ဟု ပြန်ပြော ကြ၏။
23 So he invited them in and they stayed there. The next day he got up and left with them. Some of the brothers from Joppa went with them too.
၂၃ပေတရုသည်လည်းထိုသူ တို့ကို အိမ်ထဲသို့ခေါ် ၍ ဧည့်သည် ဝတ်ကိုပြုလေ၏။ နက်ဖြန် နေ့၌ ထ ၍ ထိုသူ တို့ နှင့်အတူ သွား သဖြင့်၊ ယုပ္ပေ မြို့သားဖြစ်သော ညီအစ်ကို အချို့ တို့သည် လိုက် ကြ၏။
24 The following day they arrived in Caesarea where Cornelius was waiting for them with his relatives and close friends whom he'd called together.
၂၄ထိုနောက် တနေ့ ၌ ကဲသရိ မြို့သို့ ဝင် ကြ၍၊ ကော်နေလိ သည် မိမိ အဆွေအမျိုး မိတ် ခင်ပွန်းများတို့ကို စုဝေး စေပြီးလျှင်၊ ထိုသူ တို့ကို မြော်လင့် လျက်နေ ကြ၏။
25 When Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him.
၂၅ပေတရု ရောက်လာ သောအခါ ကော်နေလိ သည် ခရီးဦးကြိုပြု ၍၊ ပေတရု၏ခြေ ရင်း၌ ပြပ်ဝပ် လျက် ကိုးကွယ် လေ၏။
26 But Peter pulled him back up, telling him, “Stand up! I'm only a man!”
၂၆ပေတရု သည် သူ့ ကိုချီပင့် လျက်၊ ထ လော့။ ငါ ကိုယ်တိုင်လူ ဖြစ် သည်ဟုဆို ၏။
27 Peter spoke with Cornelius, and then went on in where he found many other people waiting for him.
၂၇ထိုသို့နှုတ်ဆက် ၍ ဝင် လေသော် စုဝေး လျက်ရှိ ကြသော လူများ ကိုတွေ့ လျှင်၊
28 He said to them, “You certainly know that it's not permitted for a Jew to be associated with or to visit foreigners. But God has shown me that it's not for me to call anyone impure or unclean.
၂၈ပေတရုက၊ ယုဒ လူ ဖြစ် သောသူတို့သည် တစ်ပါး အမျိုးသားတို့နှင့် မပေါင်းဘော် မချည်းကပ် အပ်သည်ကို သင် တို့သိ ကြ၏။ သို့သော်လည်းညစ်ညူး သည် မ စင်ကြယ်ဟု အဘယ်သူ ကိုမျှ မခေါ် ရမည်အကြောင်း၊ ဘုရားသခင် သည်၊ ငါ့ အားဆုံးမပြသ တော်မူပြီ။
29 That's why I came without any argument when I was sent for. So now I want to know the reason why you sent for me.”
၂၉ထိုကြောင့် ငါ့ကိုခေါ် ကြသောအခါငါသည် မ ငြင်းမခုံဘဲလျက် လာ ၏။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ အဘယ် အကြောင်း ကြောင့် ငါ့ ကိုခေါ် ကြသနည်း၊ ငါမေး လိုသည်ဟု ထိုသူ တို့ အား ပြောဆို ၏။
30 “Four days ago, at about this time—three in the afternoon—I was praying in my house,” Cornelius explained. “Suddenly I saw a man standing in front of me, dressed in clothes that shone brightly.
၃၀ကော်နေလိကလည်း၊ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ယခု အချိန် နာရီတိုင်အောင် အစာရှောင်၍ သုံးချက်တီး အချိန်တွင် အိမ် ၌ ဆုတောင်း လျက် နေ သည်၊ ယခု လေး ရက် ရှိပါပြီ။ ထိုအချိန်၌ လူ တစ်ယောက်သည် ထွန်းတောက် သောအဝတ်ကို ဝတ် လျက် အကျွန်ုပ် ရှေ့မှောက် ၌ရပ် ၍ ၊
31 He told me, ‘Cornelius, your prayers have been heard, and God has recognized your generosity to the poor.
၃၁ကော်နေလိ ၊ သင် ပြုသောပဌနာ ကို ဘုရားသခင် သည် ကြား ၍၊ သင် စွန့်ကြဲ ခြင်းကိုလည်း မှတ် တော်မူပြီ။
32 Send someone to Joppa for Simon Peter. He's staying at Simon the tanner's house, down by the sea-shore.’
၃၂ထိုကြောင့် ယုပ္ပေ မြို့သို့ စေလွှတ် ၍ ပေတရု အမည် သစ်ကို ရသော ရှိမုန် ကို ခေါ်ပင့် လော့။ ထိုသူ သည် ပင်လယ် နား မှာ သားရေ လုပ်သမားရှိမုန် ၏ အိမ် ၌ တည်း နေ၏။ ထိုသူသည်ရောက်လာလျှင် သင့်အား ဟောပြောလိမ့်မည်ဟုပြောဆို ပါ၏။
33 So immediately I sent for you, and it was good of you to come. That's why we're all here, meeting together before God, ready to hear everything the Lord has told you.”
၃၃ထိုကြောင့် အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ကိုယ်တော် ထံသို့ အလျင်အမြန် စေလွှတ် ၍၊ ကိုယ်တော် သည် ကြွလာ သော အားဖြင့်ကောင်းမွန် စွာပြု ပါ ပြီ။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ ဘုရားသခင် သည် ကိုယ်တော် ၌မှာထား တော်မူသမျှ ကို နားထောင် ခြင်းငှာ၊ ယခု အကျွန်ုပ် တို့ရှိသမျှ သည် ဘုရားသခင် ရှေ့ တော်၌ အသင့် နေကြပါသည်ဟု ကော်နေလိ ပြောဆို ၏။
34 Peter replied, “I'm totally convinced that God has no favorites.
၃၄ထိုအခါပေတရု သည် နှုတ် ကိုဖွင့် ၍ ၊ အကယ်စင်စစ် ဘုရားသခင် သည် လူ မျက်နှာကို မှတ်တော်မ မူ။
35 In every nation God accepts those who respect him, and do what is good and right.
၃၅လူ အမျိုးမျိုး တို့တွင် ဘုရားသခင် ကို ကြောက်ရွံ့ ၍ တရား သဖြင့် ကျင့်ဆောင် သောသူ သည် အထံ တော်၌ မျက်နှာ ရသည်ကို ငါသိမြင် ၏။
36 You know the message he sent to Israel, sharing the good news of peace that comes from Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.
၃၆အလုံးစုံ တို့ကို အစိုးရ တော်မူသော သခင်ယေရှု ခရစ် အားဖြင့် ရန်ငြိမ်း ခြင်းတရားတည်းဟူသောဧဝံဂေလိတရားကို ဟော တော်မူလျက်၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသား တို့အား ပေး လိုက်တော်မူသော တရား တော်နှင့်အညီ၊
37 You know that this good news spread throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee, following John's call to baptism.
၃၇ယောဟန် သည် ဗတ္တိဇံ တရားကို ဟော သည် နောက် ဂါလိလဲ ပြည်မှစ၍ ယုဒ ပြည်အရပ်ရပ် တို့၌ နှံ့ပြား သော အကြောင်း အရာကို သင် တို့သည် သိ ကြ၏။
38 It's about Jesus of Nazareth—how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how he went around doing good, healing all those who were under the devil's control, for God was with him.
၃၈ထိုအကြောင်းအရာဟူမူကား၊ ဘုရားသခင် သည် သန့်ရှင်း သော ဝိညာဉ် တော်နှင့် ၎င်း၊ တန်ခိုး တော်နှင့်၎င်း၊ နာဇရက် မြို့သားယေရှု ကို ဘိသိက် ပေးတော်မူသဖြင့်၊ ထိုသူ သည် ဘုရားသခင် ၏ အခွင့်တော်နှင့် ကျေးဇူး ပြုလျက်၊ မာရ်နတ် ညှဉ်းဆဲ သော သူ အပေါင်း တို့အား ချမ်းသာ ကို ပေးလျက် လှည့်လည် တော်မူ၏။
39 We can testify to all that he did in Judea and Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross.
၃၉ငါ တို့သည်လည်း ၊ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့မှစ၍ ယုဒ ပြည် တွင် ပြု တော်မူသောအမှု များတို့၏ သက်သေခံ ဖြစ်ကြ၏။ ထိုသူ ကိုသစ် တိုင်၌ ဆွဲ ၍ ကွပ်မျက် ကြလေ၏။
40 But God raised him back to life on the third day, and had him appear,
၄၀သုံး ရက်မြောက်သောနေ့ ၌ ဘုရားသခင် သည် ထမြောက် စေတော်မူ၍၊
41 not to everyone, but to those witnesses chosen by God—including us, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.
၄၁လူ အပေါင်း တို့အား ထင်ရှား စွာပြတော်မ မူ၊ ဘုရားသခင် ခန့်ထား တော်မူနှင့်သော သက်သေခံ တည်းဟူသောငါ တို့အား ထင်ရှားစွာ ပြတော်မူ၏။ သေ ခြင်းမှ ထမြောက် တော်မူသည်နောက် ၊ ထိုသခင် နှင့်အတူငါတို့သည်စား သောက် ရကြ၏။
42 He gave us the responsibility of publicly telling this to the people, to testify that he is the one God chose as the Judge of the living and the dead.
၄၂ထို သခင်သည်လည်း အသက်ရှင် သောသူတို့နှင့် သေ သော သူ တို့ကို တရား စီရင်သောသခင်ဖြစ် စေခြင်းငှာ ၊ ဘုရားသခင် ခန့်ထား တော်မူကြောင်းကို လူ အပေါင်းတို့အား ဟောပြော ကြလော့။ သက်သေခံ ကြ လော့ဟု ငါ တို့အားပညတ် ထားတော်မူ၏။
43 He is the one all the prophets spoke about, that everyone who trusts in him will receive forgiveness through his name.”
၄၃ထိုသခင် ကို ယုံကြည် သောသူရှိသမျှ တို့သည် နာမ တော် အားဖြင့် အပြစ် လွှတ် တော်မူခြင်း ကျေးဇူးကို ခံရကြလတံ့ဟူ၍ပရောဖက် အပေါင်း တို့သည် ထို သခင်၏ သက်သေခံ ဖြစ်ကြသည်ဟု ပေတရုမြွက်ဆို ၏။
44 While Peter was still speaking, the Holy Spirit fell on all of them who were listening to the message.
၄၄ထို စကား ကို မြွက်ဆို စဉ် ၊ နှုတ်ကပတ် တရား တော်ကို ကြားနာ ရသော သူ အပေါင်း တို့အပေါ်သို့ သန့်ရှင်း သောဝိညာဉ် တော်သည် သက်ရောက် တော်မူ၏။
45 The Jewish believers who had come with Peter were astonished, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was also poured out on the foreigners.
၄၅တစ်ပါး အမျိုးသားတို့ အပေါ်သို့ သန့်ရှင်း သော ဝိညာဉ် တော်၏ ကျေးဇူး ကိုသွန်းလောင်း သောကြောင့်၊ အရေဖျားလှီး ခြင်းကို ခံသောသူ တည်းဟူသောပေတရု နှင့် ပါ သမျှ သော တပည့် တော်တို့သည် မိန်းမော တွေဝေခြင်းရှိကြ၏။
46 They heard them speaking in tongues, glorifying God.
၄၆အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ ထိုသူ တို့သည် အမျိုးမျိုး သော ဘာသာစကား အားဖြင့်ပြော ၍ ၊ ဘုရားသခင် ကို ချီးမွမ်း သည်ကိုကြား ကြလေ၏။
47 Then Peter asked, “Is anybody going to prevent them being baptized in water, since they have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?”
၄၇ထိုအခါ ပေတရု က၊ ငါ တို့ကဲ့သို့ သန့်ရှင်း သော ဝိညာဉ် တော် ကိုခံရ သော ဤ သူ တို့ကို ဗတ္တိဇံ မ ပေးစေခြင်းငှာအဘယ်သူ သည် ရေ ကို မြစ်တား နိုင် သနည်း ဟုဆို လျက်၊
48 He gave orders for them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they pleaded with him to spend some time with them.
၄၈သခင်ဘုရား၏နာမ ၌ ဗတ္တိဇံ ကို ခံစေမည်အကြောင်းစီရင် လေ၏။ ထိုနောက်မှ ပေတရု သည် ကာလ အတန် အရာနေ ပါမည် အကြောင်းကို ထိုသူတို့ သည် တောင်းပန် ကြ၏။
