Acts 10
1 In Caesarea lived a man named Cornelius who was a Roman centurion of the Italian battalion.
১চীজাৰিয়া নগৰত ইটালীয়া নামৰ সৈন্য দলৰ কৰ্ণীলিয় নামেৰে এজন এশৰ সেনাপতি আছিল৷
2 He was a religious man who, together with everyone in his household, had great reverence for God. He gave generously to the poor, and prayed regularly to God.
২তেওঁ এজন ভক্ত লোক আছিল, তেওঁৰ ঘৰৰ সকলোৱে ঈশ্বৰলৈ ভয় ৰাখিছিল৷ তেওঁ আন লোক লোকক দান কৰিছিল আৰু সদায় ঈশ্বৰৰ ওচৰত প্ৰাৰ্থনা জনাইছিল৷
3 At about 3 p.m. one day he had a vision in which he saw very clearly an angel of God who came to him and called to him, “Cornelius!”
৩এদিন আবেলি প্ৰায় তিনি মান বজাত, দৰ্শনত “হে কৰ্ণীলিয়!” বুলি তেওঁক মাতা ঈশ্বৰৰ এজন দূতক স্পষ্টকৈ দেখিলে৷
4 Frightened, Cornelius stared at him and asked, “What do you want, Lord?” “God has paid attention to your prayers, and recognized your generosity to the poor,” he told Cornelius.
৪তেতিয়া কৰ্ণীলিয়ই দূতলৈ তধা লাগি চাই ভয় খাই কলে, “কি কয় প্ৰভু?” দূতে তেওঁক কলে, “তোমাৰ প্ৰাৰ্থনা আৰু দান সোৱঁৰণীয় ৰূপে ঈশ্বৰৰ আগত গ্ৰহণীয় হ’ল৷
5 “Now send some men to Joppa, and fetch Simon, also called Peter,
৫এতিয়া যাফোলৈ মানুহ পঠিয়াই চিমোন, যাৰ প্ৰখ্যাত নাম পিতৰ, তেওঁক মাতি পঠোৱা,
6 who is staying at Simon the tanner's house down by the sea-shore.”
৬তেওঁ সাগৰৰ তীৰত নিবাস কৰা চিমোন নামৰ মুচিয়াৰৰ ঘৰত আলহী হৈ আছে৷”
7 When the angel who had spoken to him had left, Cornelius called in two of his house-servants and a soldier of his personal guard, a religious man.
৭এনেদৰে কৰ্ণীলিয়ক কৈ স্বৰ্গৰ দূত গুচি গ’ল, তাৰ পাছত তেওঁ নিজৰ ঘৰৰ দুজন লগুৱা আৰু আলপৈচান ধৰা সকলৰ মাজৰ ভক্ত সৈন্য এজনক মাতি আনি,
8 After he'd explained to them all that had happened he sent them to Joppa.
৮তেওঁলোকক সকলো কথা তেওঁ বুজাই কলে, আৰু যাফোলৈ পঠাই দিলে৷
9 The next day, as they were on their way and approaching the city, Peter went up onto the top of the house to pray. It was about noon,

10 and he was getting hungry, wanting to eat. But while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance, and
১০তেতিয়া তেওঁৰ ভোক লগাত খাবলৈ ইচ্ছা কৰিলে, কিন্তু লোক সকলে আহাৰ যুগুত কৰি থাকোতে তেওঁ মূৰ্ছিত হৈ পৰিল;
11 he saw heaven opened. He saw something coming down that looked like a large sheet held by its four corners, being lowered onto the earth.
১১আৰু আকাশ খন মুকলি হৈ, চাৰি চুকত ধৰি পৃথিৱীলৈ নমাই দিয়া ডাঙৰ কাপোৰৰ নিচিনা কোনো এটা পাত্ৰ নমা দেখিলে৷
12 Inside were all kinds of animals and reptiles and birds.
১২তাত সকলো বিধৰ চাৰিঠেঙীয়া জন্তু, উৰগ আৰু আকাশৰ চৰাইবোৰ আছিল৷
13 He heard a voice say, “Get up Peter, kill and eat!”
১৩তেতিয়া তেওঁলৈ এনে বাণী হ’ল বোলে: “উঠা, মাৰি খোৱা৷”
14 But Peter replied, “Certainly not, Lord! I have never eaten anything that is impure and unclean.”
১৪কিন্তু পিতৰে কলে, “হে প্ৰভু, এনে নহওক; কিয়নো মই কোনো ধৰণৰ বৰ্জিত আৰু অশুচি বস্তু কেতিয়াও খোৱা নাই৷”
15 He heard the voice speak again, “Don't you call unclean what God has made clean!”
১৫দ্বিতীয় বাৰ তেওঁলৈ এই বাণী হ’ল: “ঈশ্বৰে যিহকে শুচি কৰিলে, তাক তুমি বৰ্জিত নুবুলিবা৷”
16 This happened three times, and then the sheet was quickly taken back into heaven.
১৬এইদৰে তিনি বাৰ ঘটিল আৰু সেই পাত্ৰ তেতিয়াই আকাশৰ ওপৰলৈ তুলি নিয়া হ’ল৷
17 While Peter was puzzling over what the vision he'd seen really meant, the men sent by Cornelius had found out where Simon's house was and were standing at the gate.
১৭তেতিয়া পিতৰে যি দৰ্শন দেখিলে; সেই দৰ্শনৰ অৰ্থ কি হ’ব পাৰে ইয়াকে চিন্তা কৰি থাকোতেই, কৰ্ণীলিয়ই পঠোৱা মানুহ কেইজনে সুধি সুধি চিমোনৰ ঘৰলৈ আহি দুৱাৰমুখত থিয় হ’ল,
18 They called out, asking whether Simon, also called Peter, was staying there.
১৮আৰু মাত লগাই সুধিলে, “বোলে সেই চিমোন ইয়াত থাকে নে যি জনৰ প্ৰখ্যাত নাম পিতৰ?”
19 While Peter was still wondering about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Look, there are three men looking for you.
১৯তেতিয়া পিতৰে সেই দৰ্শনৰ কথা ভাবি থাকোতেই, আত্মাই তেওঁক কলে, “চোৱা, তিনি জন মানুহে তোমাক বিচাৰিছে৷
20 Get up, go downstairs, and go with them. Don't worry at all because I'm the one who sent them.”
২০তুমি উঠা আৰু নামি যোৱা৷ তেওঁলোকে সৈতে সংশয় নকৰি যোৱা; কিয়নো মইহে তেওঁলোকক পঠালোঁ৷”
21 So Peter went downstairs to meet the men. “I'm the one you're looking for,” he said. “Why are you here?”
২১তেতিয়া পিতৰে নামি গৈ সেই মানুহকেইজনক কলে, “তোমালোকে যি জনক বিচাৰিছা, সেই জন ময়েই৷ তোমালোকে কি কাৰণত আহিলা?”
22 “We come from Cornelius, a good, religious man who has reverence for God and is widely respected among the Jewish people,” they replied. “A holy angel instructed him to send for you to come to his house so he can hear what you have to tell him.”
২২তেওঁলোকে কলে, “কৰ্ণীলিয় নামেৰে ধাৰ্মিক আৰু ঈশ্বৰক উপাসনা কৰা আৰু গোটেই ইহুদী জাতিৰ আগত সুখ্যাতি পোৱা এনে এজন এশৰ সেনাপতিয়ে আপোনাক তেওঁৰ ঘৰলৈ মতাই নি, আপোনাৰ পৰা কথা শুনিবলৈ স্বৰ্গৰ পবিত্ৰ দূতৰ দ্বাৰাই ঈশ্বৰৰ আদেশ পাইছে৷”
23 So he invited them in and they stayed there. The next day he got up and left with them. Some of the brothers from Joppa went with them too.
২৩তেতিয়া পিতৰে তেওঁলোকক ৰাতিটো তেওঁৰ তাতে থকাৰ ব্যৱস্হা কৰি দিলে৷ পাছদিনা তেওঁ যাফোত থকা ভাই সকলৰ মাজৰ কেইজনমানক লগত লৈ তেওঁলোকৰ সৈতে যাত্ৰা কৰিলে৷
24 The following day they arrived in Caesarea where Cornelius was waiting for them with his relatives and close friends whom he'd called together.
২৪তাৰ পাছদিনা তেওঁলোকে চীজাৰিয়ালৈ আহিল৷ কৰ্ণীলিয়ই নিজৰ জ্ঞাতি আৰু আত্মীয় বন্ধু সকলক গোট খুৱাই তেওঁলোকলৈ অপেক্ষা কৰি আছিল৷
25 When Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him.
২৫পিতৰ ঘৰত সোমাওঁতে কৰ্ণীলিয়ই দেখা কৰি তেওঁক সন্মান জনাবলৈ চৰণত পৰি প্ৰণাম কৰিলে৷
26 But Peter pulled him back up, telling him, “Stand up! I'm only a man!”
২৬কিন্তু পিতৰে তেওঁক তুলি ধৰি কলে, “উঠা; ময়ো মানুহহে৷”
27 Peter spoke with Cornelius, and then went on in where he found many other people waiting for him.
২৭তাৰ পাছত যেতিয়া পিতৰে তেৱেঁ সৈতে কথা কৈ কৈ ঘৰত সোমাল, বহু মানুহ গোট খাই থকা দেখি,
28 He said to them, “You certainly know that it's not permitted for a Jew to be associated with or to visit foreigners. But God has shown me that it's not for me to call anyone impure or unclean.
২৮তেওঁলোকক কলে, “বিধান বিহীন জাতিৰ কোনো মানুহৰ লগ লোৱা নাইবা তেওঁৰ তালৈ যোৱা যে যিহুদী মানুহৰ বাবে নিষেধ, ইয়াক আপোনালোকে জানে৷ কিন্তু কোনো মানুহক বৰ্জিত বা অশুচি নুবুলিবলৈ ঈশ্বৰে মোক দেখুৱালে৷
29 That's why I came without any argument when I was sent for. So now I want to know the reason why you sent for me.”
২৯এই হেতুকে মোক মাতোতে কোনো আপত্তি নকৰাকৈ মই আহিলোঁ৷ গতিকে এতিয়া সুধিছোঁ, কিয়নো আপোনালোকে মোক মাতিলে৷”
30 “Four days ago, at about this time—three in the afternoon—I was praying in my house,” Cornelius explained. “Suddenly I saw a man standing in front of me, dressed in clothes that shone brightly.
৩০তেতিয়া কৰ্ণীলিয়ই কলে, “আজি চাৰি দিন হ’ল ঠিক এই সময়ত অৰ্থাৎ আবেলি তিনি মান বজাত প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰি আছিলোঁ; তেতিয়া চাওক, উজ্জ্বল বস্ত্ৰ পিন্ধা এজন মানুহ মোৰ আগত থিয় হ’ল৷
31 He told me, ‘Cornelius, your prayers have been heard, and God has recognized your generosity to the poor.
৩১তেওঁ কলে, ‘হে কৰ্ণীলিয়, তোমাৰ প্ৰাৰ্থনা শুনা গ’ল আৰু তুমি দুখীয়াক দিয়া দান ঈশ্বৰৰ আগত সোঁৱৰণ কৰা হ’ল৷
32 Send someone to Joppa for Simon Peter. He's staying at Simon the tanner's house, down by the sea-shore.’
৩২এতেকে যাফোলৈ মানু্হ পঠিয়াই, সাগৰৰ দাঁতিত চিমোন নামেৰে এজন মুচিয়াৰৰ ঘৰত আলহী হৈ থকা চিমোন, যাৰ প্ৰখ্যাত নাম পিতৰ, তেওঁক মাতি অানা গৈ’৷
33 So immediately I sent for you, and it was good of you to come. That's why we're all here, meeting together before God, ready to hear everything the Lord has told you.”
৩৩এই হেতুকে মই তেতিয়াই আপোনাৰ তালৈ মানুহ পঠালোঁ৷ আপুনি যে এতিয়া আহি পালে, ভাল কৰিলে৷ এতেকে প্ৰভুৱে যি আজ্ঞা আপোনাক দিলে, সেই সকলো বিষয় শুনিবলৈ আমি সকলোৱে এতিয়া ঈশ্বৰৰ সাক্ষাতে উপস্থিত আছোঁ৷”
34 Peter replied, “I'm totally convinced that God has no favorites.
৩৪তেতিয়া পিতৰে মাত দিলে আৰু কলে, “ইয়াকে মই নিশ্চয়কৈ উপলদ্ধি কৰিছোঁ যে, ঈশ্বৰে কাৰো পক্ষপাতীত্ব নকৰে৷
35 In every nation God accepts those who respect him, and do what is good and right.
৩৫বৰং সকলো জাতিৰ মাজত যি জনে তেওঁলৈ ভয় ৰাখি ধাৰ্মিক আচৰণ কৰে, সেই জন তেওঁৰ গ্ৰহণযোগ্য হয়৷
36 You know the message he sent to Israel, sharing the good news of peace that comes from Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.
৩৬যি জন সকলোৰে প্ৰভু, সেই যীচু খ্ৰীষ্টৰ দ্বাৰাই মিলনৰ শুভবাৰ্তা প্ৰচাৰ কৰোঁতে, ঈশ্বৰে যি বাক্য ইস্ৰায়েলৰ লোক সকললৈ পঠালে,
37 You know that this good news spread throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee, following John's call to baptism.
৩৭আৰু যোহনে বাপ্তিস্মৰ কথা ঘোষণা কৰাৰ পাছত, গালীল প্ৰদেশৰ পৰা আৰম্ভ হৈ গোটেই যিহুদীয়ালৈকে বিয়পি গ’ল, সেই বাক্য আপোনালোকে নিজেও বুজি আছে৷
38 It's about Jesus of Nazareth—how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how he went around doing good, healing all those who were under the devil's control, for God was with him.
৩৮সেয়ে এই যে, যেনেকৈ ঈশ্বৰে নাচৰতীয়া যীচুক পবিত্ৰ আত্মা শক্তি আৰু মহিমাৰে অভিষিক্ত কৰিলে; তেনেকৈ তেওঁ বিভিন্ন ঠাইত সৎ কৰ্ম কৰি, চয়তানৰ পৰা দুখ পোৱা সকলক সুস্হ কৰিছিল; কাৰণ ঈশ্বৰ তেওঁৰ সহায় আছিল৷
39 We can testify to all that he did in Judea and Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross.
৩৯আৰু ইহুদী সকলৰ গাৱেঁ-ভুয়ে গৈ আৰু যিৰূচালেমতো তেওঁ যি যি কৰ্ম কৰিছিল, সেই সকলো কৰ্মৰ সাক্ষী আমি আছোঁ৷ এই যীচুকেই তেওঁলোকে কাঠত ওলোমাই বধ কৰিলে৷
40 But God raised him back to life on the third day, and had him appear,
৪০কিন্তু এইজনকে প্ৰকাশিত কৰিবলৈ ঈশ্বৰে তেওঁক তৃতীয় দিনা তুলিলে,
41 not to everyone, but to those witnesses chosen by God—including us, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.
৪১আটাই মানুহৰ আগত নহয়, কিন্তু তেওঁ মৃত বিলাকৰ মাজৰ পৰা উঠাৰ পাছত তেৱেঁ সৈতে ভোজন-পান কৰা ঈশ্বৰৰ মনোনীত সাক্ষী যি আমি, আমাৰ আগতহে প্ৰকাশিত হবলৈ দিলে৷
42 He gave us the responsibility of publicly telling this to the people, to testify that he is the one God chose as the Judge of the living and the dead.
৪২জীৱিত আৰু মৰা দুয়োৰো বিচাৰকৰ্তা হবলৈ ঈশ্বৰে যি জনক নিযুক্ত কৰিলে, তেৱেঁই সেই জনা, এই কথা সকলো লোকৰ আগত ঘোষণা কৰিবলৈ আৰু সাক্ষ্য দিবলৈ তেওঁ আমাক আজ্ঞা দিলে৷
43 He is the one all the prophets spoke about, that everyone who trusts in him will receive forgiveness through his name.”
৪৩তেওঁৰ পক্ষে সকলো ভাববাদীয়েও সাক্ষ্য দিয়ে যাতে তেওঁত বিশ্বাস কৰা সকলোৱে তেওঁৰ নামেৰে পাপ-মোচন পায়৷
44 While Peter was still speaking, the Holy Spirit fell on all of them who were listening to the message.
৪৪পিতৰে এই কথা কৈ থাকোতেই, শুনি থকা সকলোৰে ওপৰত পবিত্ৰ আত্মা আহিল৷
45 The Jewish believers who had come with Peter were astonished, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was also poured out on the foreigners.
৪৫তাতে পিতৰৰ লগত অহা চুন্নৎ হোৱা বিশ্বাসী সকলে অনা-ইহুদী সকলৰ ওপৰতো পবিত্ৰ আত্মা বাকি দিয়া দেখি বিস্ময় মানিলে৷
46 They heard them speaking in tongues, glorifying God.
৪৬কাৰণ সেই অনা-ইহুদী সকলে নানা ভাষাৰে কথা কৈ ঈশ্বৰৰ স্তুতি কৰা তেওঁলোকে শুনিবলৈ পালে৷ তেতিয়া পিতৰে উত্তৰ দি কলে,
47 Then Peter asked, “Is anybody going to prevent them being baptized in water, since they have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?”
৪৭“আমাৰ নিচিনাকৈ পবিত্ৰ আত্মা পোৱা এওঁলোক বাপ্তাইজিত নহবলৈ কোনোবাই জলক বাধা দিব পাৰে নে?”
48 He gave orders for them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they pleaded with him to spend some time with them.
৪৮তেতিয়া তেওঁ যীচু খ্ৰীষ্টৰ নামেৰে তেওঁলোকক বাপ্তাইজিত হবলৈ আজ্ঞা দিলে৷ পাছত সেই ঠাইতে তেওঁলোকক কিছুদিন থাকিবলৈ তেওঁ মিনতি কৰিলে৷
