2 Kings 2
1 Just before the Lord took Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were walking together on their way from Gilgal.
१आणि असे झाले की, एका वावटळीद्वारे परमेश्वर एलीयाला वर स्वर्गास घेणार होता, तेव्हा एलीया अलीशाबरोबर गिलगालहून निघाला.
2 Elijah said to Elisha, “Please stay here, for the Lord has sent me to Bethel.” But Elisha replied, “As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went to Bethel.
२एलीया अलीशाला म्हणाला, “कृपाकरून तू येथेच थांब, कारण परमेश्वराने मला बेथेल येथे पाठवले आहे.” अलीशा म्हणाला, “परमेश्वर जिवंत आहे, व तू जिवंत आहे, मी तुला सोडणार नाही.” मग ते खाली बेथेलास गेले.
3 The sons of the prophets who lived in Bethel came to Elisha and told him, “You do know that the Lord is going to take your master away from you today, don't you?” “Yes, I know,” he replied. “Don't talk about it.”
३तेव्हा बेथेल येथील संदेष्ट्यांचे पुत्र अलीशाकडे येऊन त्यास म्हणाले, “आज तुझ्या स्वामीला परमेश्वर तुझ्यापासून घेऊन जाणार आहे, हे तुला माहित आहे काय?” अलीशा म्हणाला, “होय, मला माहित आहे, पण या विषयी बोलू नका”
4 Then Elijah said to him, “Please stay here, Elisha, for the Lord has sent me to Jericho.” He replied, “As the Lord lives, and as you live, I will not leave you.” So they went to Jericho.
४एलीया अलीशाला म्हणाला, “कृपाकरून तू येथेच थांब, कारण परमेश्वराने मला यरीहो येथे पाठवले आहे.” पण अलीशा म्हणाला, “परमेश्वर जिवंत आहे व तू जिवंत आहे, मी तुला सोडणार नाही.” मग ते यरीहोस आले.
5 The sons of the prophets who lived in Jericho came to Elisha and told him, “You do know that the Lord is going to take your master away from you today, don't you?” “Yes, I know,” he replied. “Don't talk about it.”
५तेव्हा यरीहो मधील संदेष्ट्यांचा समूह अलीशाकडे येऊन म्हणाली, “परमेश्वर तुझ्या स्वामीला आज तुझ्यापासून घेऊन जाणार आहे हे तुला माहित आहे काय?” अलीशा म्हणाला, “होय मला माहित आहे, पण या विषयी बोलू नका.”
6 Then Elijah said to him, “Please stay here, Elisha, for the Lord has sent me to the Jordan.” He replied, “As the Lord lives, and as you live, I will not leave you.” So they travelled on together.
६नंतर एलीया अलीशाला म्हणाला, “तू कृपाकरून येथेच थांब, कारण परमेश्वराने मला यार्देनेस पाठवले आहे.” अलीशा म्हणाला, “परमेश्वर जिवंत आहे व तू जिवंत आहे; मी तुला सोडणार नाही.” तेव्हा ते दोघे पुढे निघाले.
7 Then a group of fifty of the sons of the prophets went and stood facing Elijah and Elisha at a distance as the two of them stood by the Jordan.
७नंतर संदेष्ट्याच्या मुलांतले पन्नास त्यांच्या विरूद्ध दिशेने लांब उभे राहिले व ते दोघे यार्देन जवळ उभे राहिले.
8 Elijah took his cloak, rolled it up, and hit the water. It divided to the one side and to the other and both of them crossed over on dry ground.
८तेव्हा एलीयाने आपला झगा काढला व त्याची घडी केली, आणि तो पाण्यावर आपटला. तेव्हा पाणी दोन्ही दिशेने दुभागले व ते दोघे कोरडया भूमीवरुन चालत नदी पार करून गेले.
9 When they arrived on the other side, Elijah asked Elisha, “What can I do for you before I'm taken from you?” “Please let me have a double amount of your spirit,” Elisha replied.
९आणि असे झाले की, नदी ओलांडल्यावर एलीया अलीशाला म्हणाला, “परमेश्वराने मला येथून घेऊन जायच्या अगोदर मी तुझ्यासाठी काय करावे ते माग.” अलीशा म्हणाला, “कृपाकरून तुमच्या ठायी असलेल्या आत्म्याचा दुप्पट वाटा मला मिळावा.”
10 “What you have asked for is hard,” Elijah responded. “But if you see me when I am taken from you, you will have it, otherwise not.”
१०एलीयाने उत्तर दिले, “ही तर फारच कठिण गोष्ट तू मागितलीस. तरीसुद्धा, तुझ्या जवळून मी घेतला जात असता, जर तुला मी दिसलो तर हे शक्य आहे. पण जर नाही, तर असे होणार नाही.”
11 As they were walking along, talking, a chariot of fire and horses of fire came between them, and Elijah was taken up in the whirlwind to heaven.
११एलीया आणि अलीशा बोलत पुढे चालले होते, तेवढयात अग्नीचा रथ व अग्नीचे घोडे तेथे अवतीर्ण झाले आणि त्यांनी त्या दोघांना एकमेकांपासून दूर केले, आणि एका वावटळीमधून एलीया वर स्वर्गात गेला.
12 Elisha saw what happened and cried out, “My father! My father! Look! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” Then Elisha couldn't see him anymore. He took his clothes and ripped them to pieces.
१२अलीशा हे पाहून मोठ्याने ओरडला, “माझ्या बापा! माझ्या बापा! इस्राएलचा रथ आणि त्याचे घोडेस्वार!” त्याने एलीयाला पुन्हा पाहिले नाही. त्याने आपली वस्रे धरुन फाडली व त्याचे दोन तुकडे केले.
13 Then Elisha picked up Elijah's cloak that had fallen from him, and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan.
१३त्याने एलीयाचा अंगरखा जो जमिनीवर पडला होता, उचलला, आणि परत यार्देनकाठी जाऊन उभा राहिला.
14 He took Elijah's cloak that had fallen from him, hit the water, and cried out, “Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah?” When he hit the water, it divided to the one side and to the other and Elisha crossed over.
१४त्याने एलीयाचा झगा जो खाली पडला होता, तो घेऊन पाण्यावर मारला आणि म्हटले, “परमेश्वर, एलीयाचा देव कोठे आहे?” त्याने जेव्हा पाण्यावर मारले, तेव्हा पाणी दोन्ही बाजूस दुभंगले आणि अलीशा पार गेला.
15 The sons of the prophets who lived in Jericho saw him from the opposite side and shouted out, “Elijah's spirit now rests upon Elisha!” They went over to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him.
१५तेव्हा यरीहो येथील संदेष्ट्यांचे पुत्र जे समोर होते ते त्यास पाहून म्हणाले, “एलीयाचा आत्मा अलीशावर आला आहे.” आणि ते त्यास भेटायला आले. त्यांनी त्यास जमिनीपर्यंत लवून नमन केले.
16 “Look,” they said to Elisha, “we your servants have fifty good men here. Please allow them to go and search for your master. Maybe the Spirit of the Lord has taken him and put him down on a mountain or in a valley somewhere.” “Don't bother sending them,” Elisha replied.
१६ते त्यास म्हणाले, “आता पाहा, तुझ्या दासाकडे कडे पन्नास धष्टपुष्ट माणसे आहेत. त्यांना जाऊन तुझ्या स्वामीचा शोध घेऊ दे. कदाचित् परमेश्वराच्या आत्म्याने एलीयाला वर नेऊन कोठेतरी डोंगर किंवा दरीमध्ये टाकले असेल.” अलीशा म्हणाला, “नाही, त्यांना पाठवू नका.”
17 But they went on trying to persuade him until he was too embarrassed to say no. “Go ahead and send them,” he told them. So they sent fifty men, who searched for Elijah for three days but couldn't find him.
१७पण अलीशाला लाज वाटेपर्यंत संदेष्ट्यांनी आग्रह धरला, तो म्हणाला, “त्यांना पाठवा.” मग त्यांनी पन्नास जणांना पाठवले, आणि त्यांनी एलीयाचा तीन दिवस शोध घेतला, पण ते त्यास शोधू शकले नाही.
18 When they returned to Elisha, who was staying in Jericho, he said to them, “Didn't I tell you not to bother going?”
१८आणि अलीशा यरीहोत राहत असता, ते त्याच्याकडे परत आले, तेव्हा तो त्यांना म्हणाला, “जाऊ नका, असे मी तुम्हास सांगितले नव्हते काय?”
19 The townspeople said to Elisha, “Look, sir, while our town has a good location as you can see, the water is bad and the soil is poor.”
१९त्या नगरातील माणसे अलीशाला म्हणाली, “पाहा, आम्ही तुला विनंती करतो, या नगराची परिस्थिती आनंददायी आहे, माझ्या स्वामी हे तुम्ही पाहताच आहात, पण इथले पाणी खराब व जमीन नापीक आहे.”
20 “Bring me a brand new bowl and put some salt in it,” he replied. So they brought it to him.
२०अलीशा त्यांना म्हणाला, “एक नवीन पात्र घेऊन या आणि त्यामध्ये मीठ घाला.” तेव्हा त्यांनी ते त्याच्याकडे आणले.
21 Then Elisha went to the spring, threw the salt into it, and said, “This is what the Lord says: ‘I have purified this water. It won't cause death or miscarriages anymore.’”
२१अलीशा ते घेऊन त्या झऱ्याच्या उगमापाशी गेला आणि त्यामध्ये ते मीठ टाकून म्हणाला, “परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, ‘आता हे पाणी मी बरे केले आहे. आता यापुढे आणखी मृत्यू किंवा नापिकी आणखी होणार नाही.”
22 The water there is still pure to this very day, just as Elisha said it would be.
२२अलीशा बोललेल्या वचनाप्रमाणे ते पाणी चांगले झाले व आजपर्यंत ते चांगले आहे.
23 Elisha went on from there to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, a group of youths came from the town. They made fun of him, calling out, “Go on up, baldy! Go on up, baldy!”
२३नंतर अलीशा तेथून वर बेथेलास गेला. तो वाटेने वर चालत असता, लहान मुलांनी गावातून निघून त्याची टिंगल करायला सुरुवात केली. ती म्हणाली, “अरे टकल्या वर जा, ए टकल्या, वर जा.”
24 Turning around, he looked at them and called down a curse on them in the Lord's name. Suddenly two female bears came out of the forest and mauled forty-two of them.
२४अलीशाने मागे वळून त्यांच्याकडे पाहिले आणि परमेश्वराच्या नावाने त्यांना शाप दिला. त्यानंतर दोन अस्वलींनी वनातून बाहेर येऊन त्यांच्यातली बेचाळीस मुले फाडून टाकली.
25 Elisha carried on to Mount Carmel, and from there he went back to Samaria.
२५नंतर अलीशा तेथून कर्मेल डोंगराकडे गेला, आणि तिथून तो परत शोमरोनास आला.
