2 John 1
1 This letter comes from the elder to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in the truth. Not just from me, but from everyone who knows the truth,
Der Älteste an die auserwählte Kyria und an ihre Kinder, die ich liebe in Wahrheit, und nicht allein ich, sondern auch alle, welche die Wahrheit erkannt haben,
Um der Wahrheit willen, die in uns bleibt und bei uns sein wird in Ewigkeit. (aiōn g165)
3 May grace, mercy and peace continue to be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and in love.
Gnade, Barmherzigkeit, Friede von Gott dem Vater und von dem Herrn Jesus Christus, dem Sohn des Vaters, in Wahrheit und Liebe sei mit dir.
4 I was delighted to discover that some of your children are following the truth, just as the Father commanded us.
Ich freute mich sehr, daß ich von deinen Kindern solche gefunden habe, die in der Wahrheit wandeln, wie wir das Gebot vom Vater empfangen haben.
5 Now I'm telling you, dear lady, not as a new instruction, but following what we've understood from the beginning, that we should love one another.
Und nun bitte ich dich, Kyria, nicht als ob ich dir ein neu Gebot schriebe, sondern eines, das wir von Anfang an hatten, daß wir einander lieben sollen.
6 This is what love is: we should follow God's commands. The command, just as you heard right from the beginning, is that you should live in love.
Und das ist die Liebe, daß wir wandeln nach Seinen Geboten. Das ist das Gebot, wie ihr von Anfang angehört habt, daß ihr darin wandeln sollt.
7 I'm telling you this because many deceivers have left and gone out into the world. They don't accept that Jesus Christ has come as a human being. Anyone like this is a deceiver and an antichrist.
Denn viele Verführer sind in die Welt gekommen, die Jesus Christus nicht bekennen als in das Fleisch gekommen. Dies ist der Verführer und der Widerchrist.
8 Be careful that you don't lose what we've worked so hard for, and that you receive all that you should.
Seht euch vor, daß wir nicht verlieren, was wir erarbeitet haben, sondern vollen Lohn empfangen.
9 All those who become extremists and don't continue to follow the teaching of Christ don't have God with them. Those who continue to follow the teaching of Christ have both the Father and the Son with them.
Wer darüber hinaus will und nicht bei der Lehre Christi bleibt, der hat Gott nicht; wer aber bei der Lehre Christi bleibt, der hat sowohl den Vater als den Sohn.
10 If people come to you and don't show evidence of Christ's teaching, don't take them in, don't welcome them—
Wenn einer zu euch kommt und diese Lehre nicht bringt, den nehmt nicht in das Haus und grüßt ihn auch nicht.
11 for if you encourage them you share in their evil work.
Denn wer ihn begrüßt, der nimmt Teil an seinen bösen Werken.
12 I have so many things to tell you that I won't write any more with paper and ink, for I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face. How happy that would make us!
Ich hätte euch noch viel zu schreiben, aber ich wollte nicht mit Papier und Tinte, hoffe aber zu euch zu kommen und mündlich davon zu reden, auf daß unsere Freude vollkommen sei.
