< 2 Corinthians 8 >

1 Brothers and sisters, we want to let you know about the grace of God shown to the Macedonian churches.
Kami püi he aw, Maketawniha sangcim hea veia Pamhnam naw bäkhäknak a jah pet kami ning jah ksing hlüsaki.
2 Even though they have suffered terrible trouble, they are overflowing with happiness; and even though they are very poor, they are also overflowing in their generosity.
Acuna sangcim he cun ami awmnaka khuikhanak aktäa khamei u lü m'yenkseki he, acunsepi aktäa petmsawtnak üng ktha naki he kyase ami jekyainak dämki.
3 I can confirm that they gave what they could, in fact even more than that! By their own choice
Ami khyaih khawjah pe u lü acuna thea pi peki he tia ka ksingki. Ami pet hlüa kba peki he ni.
4 they kept on pleading with us to have a part in this privilege of sharing in this ministry to God's people.
Acukba petmsawtnak üng khyang ngcim he jah kpüi yüm vaia Judah khawa jah nghui naki he.
5 They didn't just do what we hoped they would do, but they gave themselves to the Lord, and then to us, as God wanted them to do.
Kami ngaiha kthaka, akcüka Bawipa veia ngpe kyu u lü; acunüng Pamhnama ngjakhlüa amimät keimia veia ngpe kyuki he.
6 So we have encouraged Titus—since it was he who started this work with you—to return and complete this gracious ministry of yours.
Acunakyase, Petmsawtnaka khut tünei maki Tihtuh naw petmsawtnaka khut a kpäng vaia kami mthehki.
7 Since you have an abundance of everything—your trust in God, your eloquence, your spiritual knowledge, your complete dedication, and in your love for us—make sure that your abundance also extends to this gracious ministry of giving.
Acunakyase, ahmäi üng jummeinak, ngthu sangnak, ksingkhyapnak, ahmäi hmäi üng ngsümtawmnak, keimi nami jah jawngnak nami mdana kba, acuna bäkhäknak pi nami mdan vaia ktha na ua.
8 I'm not ordering you to do this, but to prove how sincere your love is in comparison with the dedication of others.
Ngthupeta kba am ka ning jah mthehki, khyang kcea jah kpüi vai ihlawka yängki he ti la, jawngnak akcang la am akcang ti mhnüteinaka ka pyen na kyaki ni.
9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Even though he was rich, he became poor for you, so that through his poverty you could become rich.
Mi Bawipa Jesuh Khritawa bäkhäknak nami ksingki ni; ani cun nangmi nami bawimangnak vaia phäha amät naw amät m'yenkse saki ni. Acun cun Nangmi nami bawimangnak vaia phäha m'yenkse lawki.
10 This is my advice: it would be good if you finished what you started. Last year you were not only the first to give but the first to want to do so.
Tuh kum üng nami tüneinak atuh nami kpäng vai ka ngja lüki. Nangmi cun nami tünei khai dänga am kya lü nami tünei vai nami ngjahlü kcükia pi nami kyaki.
11 Now finish what you planned to do. Be as keen to finish as you were to plan, and give as you are able.
Acunakyase, ajana petmsawt hlünaka mlungmthin nami taka kba, atuh nami khyaiha pe u lü ngpängsak ua.
12 If the willingness is there, it's fine to give what you have, not what you don't have!
Petmsawt hlünaka mlung a ve üng, am na tak am ni, na takca i pi na pet cun Mhnam naw ning dokhamei pe khai.
13 This is not to make things easier for others and harder for you, but simply to be fair.
Akce he phüiha jang vaia nami khana phüih k’yüh am ta veng. Atuh nami bawimangnak am amimi jah kpüi u lü, tuha amimi ami bawimang law üng ning jah kpüi khai he. Ahinkba atänga ve ua.
14 At the moment you have more than enough and can meet their needs, and in turn when they have more than enough they can meet your needs. In that way everyone is treated fairly.
15 As Scripture says, “The one who had much didn't have any excess, and the one who didn't have much didn't have too little.”
Cangcim naw, “Mcun dämki naw am da na law naw, apica mcunki pi a tak am jaw naw” tia a pyena kba.
16 Thanks be to God that he gave to Titus the same devotion for you that I have.
Ning jah kpüi vaia kami kthanaka kba Tihtuh naw pi a kthanak vaia mlung pekia Pamhnam kami jenaki.
17 Though he agreed to do what we told him, he's coming to see you because he really wants to, and had already decided to do so.
Ani cun, ka nghuinak, a ngai dänga am kya lü mlung hlünak am nami veia a hlüa lawki.
18 We're also sending with him a brother who is praised by all the churches for his work in spreading the good news.
Acunüng, thangkdaw a khüihnak üng sangcim he naw aktäa ami leisawnga bena, ani am atänga kami tüih law khai.
19 He was also appointed by the churches to go with us as we deliver this gracious offering we're carrying. We do this to honor the Lord and to show our eagerness to help others.
Acun dänga am kya, Bawipa hlüngtainak vaia kami bilawh, petmsawtnak kami cehpüi üng jah ngkhahpüi khai la, kpüi vaia kami yängnak mdang khaia, sangcim he naw ami xüa kyaki.
20 We want to guard against anyone criticizing us about how we use this gift.
Acunüng, acuna petmsawtnaka khutbi kami bilawh üng, u naw am a jah mkatei vaia kami mceiki.
21 We're concerned to do things the right way, not only in the eyes of the Lord, but also in the eyes of everyone.
Bawipa ngaih dänga am kya lü khyanga ngaiha pi dawkya khaia kami ngaiki he ni.
22 We're also sending with them another brother who has proved to be reliable on many occasions, and who is eager to help. He is now even more eager to help because of the great confidence he has in you.
Ami veia kami bena kce pi kami tüih si khai; ani cun ahmäi üng khüi lü kthanaki ti khawvei kami ksing päng, atuh pi ning jah üp na lü ning jah kpüi khaia yäng bawk bawki.
23 If anyone asks about Titus, he is my companion. He works with me on your behalf. The other brothers are representatives from the churches and an honor to Christ.
Tihtuh cun ka püi la nami phäha ka khüihpüia kyaki; ani mah maha lawki hea bena kce he cun sangcim hea jah tüih law, Khritawa hlüngtainaka kyaki he.
24 So please welcome them before all the churches and show them your love, proving how rightly proud we are of you.
Acun hea veia nami jawngnak jah mdan u; acunüng kami ning jah awhcahnak cun sangcim he naw ksing khai he.
