2 Chronicles 29

1 Hezekiah was twenty-five when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem for twenty-nine years. His mother's name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah.

எசேக்கியா அரசனானபோது இருபத்தைந்து வயதுள்ளவனாயிருந்தான். இவன் எருசலேமில் இருபத்தொன்பது வருடங்கள் ஆட்சிசெய்தான். இவனுடைய தாய் சகரியாவின் மகளான அபியாள் என்பவள்.

2 He did what was right in the Lord's sight, just as his forefather David had done.

அவன் தனது முற்பிதா தாவீது செய்ததுபோல, யெகோவாவின் பார்வையில் சரியானதைச் செய்தான்.

3 In the first month of the first year of his reign, Hezekiah opened the doors of the Lord's Temple and repaired them.

அவனுடைய ஆட்சியின் முதலாம் வருடம், முதல் மாதத்தில் அவன் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தின் கதவுகளைத் திறந்து அவற்றைப் பழுதுபார்த்தான்.

4 He summoned the priests and the Levites, and had them gather on the square to the east.

அவன் ஆசாரியர்களையும், லேவியர்களையும் கொண்டுவந்து, கிழக்குப் பக்கத்திலுள்ள சதுக்கத்தில் அவர்களை ஒன்றுகூட்டினான்.

5 He told them, “Listen to me, Levites. Purify yourselves now and purify the Temple of the Lord, the God of your forefathers. Take away from the Holy Place everything that is filthy.

அவர்களிடம், “லேவியர்களே, எனக்கு செவிகொடுங்கள். நீங்கள் இப்பொழுது உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்துங்கள்; அத்துடன் உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தையும் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்துங்கள். பரிசுத்த இடத்திலிருந்து எல்லா அசுத்தத்தையும் அகற்றிப்போடுங்கள்.

6 For our fathers were sinful, and did what was evil in the Lord's sight. They abandoned him and paid no attention to the Lord's Temple, turning their backs on him.

எனது முற்பிதாக்கள் உண்மையற்றவர்களாய் இருந்தார்கள். அவர்கள் எங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் பார்வையில் தீமையானதைச் செய்து, அவரைவிட்டு விலகினார்கள். அவர்கள் யெகோவாவின் உறைவிடத்திற்கு தங்கள் முகத்தை விலக்கி, அவருக்குத் தங்கள் முதுகைக் காட்டினார்கள்.

7 They shut the doors at the entrance to the Temple and put out the lamps. They didn't burn incense or present burnt offerings at the sanctuary of the God of Israel.

அத்துடன் அவர்கள் ஆலயத்தின் முன்மண்டபக் கதவுகளையும் பூட்டி, விளக்குகளை அணைத்துப் போட்டார்கள். அவர்கள் இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனின் பரிசுத்த இடத்தில் தூபங்காட்டவோ, தகன காணிக்கைகளைச் செலுத்தவோ இல்லை.

8 So the Lord's anger fell on Judah and Jerusalem, and he made them into something appalling, terrifying, and ridiculous, as you can see for yourselves.

அதனால் யெகோவாவின் கோபம் யூதாவின்மேலும், எருசலேமின்மேலும் இறங்கியது. அவர் அவர்களைப் பயங்கரத்திற்கும், திகிலிற்கும், இகழ்ச்சிக்கும் உரிய பொருளாக வைத்திருக்கிறார். அதையே இன்று நீங்கள் உங்கள் சொந்தக் கண்களால் காண்கிறீர்கள்.

9 As a result, our fathers have died in battle, and our sons and our daughters and our wives have been captured.

இதனாலேயே நமது தந்தையர்கள் வாளினால் மடிந்தார்கள்; நம்முடைய மகன்களும், மகள்களும், நம்முடைய மனைவிகளும் சிறைபிடிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

10 But now I'm going to make an agreement with the Lord, the God of Israel, so that his fierce anger will no longer fall on us.

இப்பொழுது நான் இஸ்ரயேலின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடன் ஒரு உடன்படிக்கையை செய்ய எண்ணியுள்ளேன். அப்பொழுதுதான் அவரது கோபம் நம்மைவிட்டுத் திரும்பும்.

11 My sons, don't neglect your responsibilities, for the Lord has chosen you to stand in his presence to serve him, and to be his ministers presenting burnt offerings.”

என் மகன்களே, இப்பொழுது நீங்கள் அசட்டையாய் இராதீர்கள். ஏனெனில் அவர் முன்நின்று அவருக்குப் பணிசெய்வதற்கும் அவர் முன்னிலையில் ஊழியம் செய்து தூபங்காட்டுவதற்குமே யெகோவா உங்களைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டிருக்கிறார்” என்றான்.

12 Then the Levites went to work. They were Mahath, son of Amasai, and Joel, son of Azariah, from the Kohathites; Kish, son of Abdi, and Azariah, son of Jehallelel, from the Merarites; Joah, son of Zimmah, and Eden, son of Joah, from the Gershonites;

எனவே வேலையைச் செய்யத் தொடங்கிய லேவியர்கள்: கோகாத்தியரிலிருந்து: அமசாயின் மகன் மாகாத், அசரியாவின் மகன் யோயேல்; மெராரியரிலிருந்து: அப்தியின் மகன் கீஷ், எகலேலின் மகன் அசரியா; கெர்சோனியரிலிருந்து: சிம்மாவின் மகன் யோவா, யோவாவின் மகன் ஏதேன்.

13 from the sons of Elizaphan, Shimri and Jeiel; and from the sons of Asaph, Zechariah and Mattaniah;

எலிசாபானின் சந்ததிகளிலிருந்து: சிம்ரி, ஏயேல்; ஆசாப்பின் சந்ததிகளிலிருந்து: சகரியா, மத்தனியா;

14 from the sons of Heman, Jehiel and Shimei; and from the sons of Jeduthun, Shemaiah and Uzziel.

ஏமானின் சந்ததிகளிலிருந்து: யெகியேல், சிமேயி; எதுத்தூனின் சந்ததிகளிலிருந்து: செமாயா, ஊசியேல்.

15 They called together the other Levites and all of them purified themselves. Then they went in to clean the Lord's Temple, as the king had commanded, following the instructions as required by the Lord.

இந்த லேவியர்கள் தங்கள் சகோதரர்களை ஒன்றுசேர்த்து, அவர்களைச் சுத்திகரித்தபின் யெகோவாவின் வார்த்தையைப் பின்பற்றி அரசன் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தை தூய்மைப்படுத்துவதற்காக உள்ளே சென்றனர்.

16 The priests went into the inner sanctuary of the Lord's Temple to clean it. They removed all the unclean things that they found in the Lord's Temple and placed them in the Temple courtyard. Then the Levites took them out and carried them to the Kidron Valley.

ஆசாரியர்கள் யெகோவாவின் பரிசுத்த இடத்தை தூய்மைப்படுத்துவதற்காக அதற்குள்ளே சென்றார்கள். அவர்கள் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்திற்குள் அசுத்தமாகக் கண்ட யாவற்றையும் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தின் வெளிமுற்றத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். அதை லேவியர்கள் எடுத்து கீதரோன் பள்ளத்தாக்கிற்கு சுமந்துகொண்டு போனார்கள்.

17 They started the work of purification on the first day of the first month, and by the eighth day of the month they had reached the Temple porch. For eight more days they worked on purifying the Temple itself, and finished on the sixteenth day of the first month.

அவர்கள் தங்கள் சுத்திகரிப்பு வேலையை முதலாம் மாதம், முதலாம் நாளில் ஆரம்பித்து, மாதத்தின் எட்டாம் நாளில் யெகோவாவுக்குமுன் மண்டபத்திற்கு வந்தார்கள். யெகோவாவினுடைய ஆலயத்தை இன்னும் எட்டு நாட்களுக்கு பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தினார்கள். இவ்வாறு அதை முதலாம் மாதம் பதினாறாம் நாளில் செய்துமுடித்தனர்.

18 Then they went in to tell King Hezekiah, “We have cleaned the entire Temple of the Lord, the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the table of the showbread with all its utensils.

அதன்பின்பு அவர்கள் எசேக்கியா அரசனிடம் போய், “நாங்கள் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயம் முழுவதையும் தூய்மைப்படுத்திவிட்டோம். தகன பலிபீடம், அதன் பாத்திரங்கள், இறைசமுக அப்பங்களை ஒழுங்குபடுத்தும் மேஜை, அதன் பொருட்கள் ஆகியவற்றைத் தூய்மைப்படுத்திவிட்டோம்.

19 We have recovered and purified all the items that King Ahaz threw away during his reign when he was unfaithful. They are now before the Lord's altar.”

அத்துடன் ஆகாஸ் அரசன் தான் அரசனாயிருந்த காலத்தில் உண்மையற்றவனாய் அவன் அகற்றிப்போட்ட பொருட்களையெல்லாம் கொண்டுவந்து, பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தி இருக்கிறோம். அவை இப்பொழுது யெகோவாவின் பீடத்தின்முன் இருக்கின்றன” என்று அறிவித்தார்கள்.

20 King Hezekiah got up early, summoned the city officials, and went to the Lord's Temple.

அடுத்தநாள் அதிகாலையில் எசேக்கியா அரசன் பட்டணத்தின் அதிகாரிகள் எல்லோரையும் ஒன்றுசேர்த்துக்கொண்டு யெகோவாவினுடைய ஆலயத்திற்குப் போனான்.

21 They brought seven bulls, seven rams, seven male lambs, and seven male goats as a sin offering for the kingdom, for the sanctuary, and for Judah. The king ordered the priests, the descendants of Aaron, to offer them on the altar of the Lord.

அவர்கள் அரசிற்காகவும், பரிசுத்த இடத்திற்காகவும், யூதாவுக்காகவும் பாவநிவாரண காணிக்கையாக ஏழு காளைகளையும், ஏழு செம்மறியாட்டுக் கடாக்களையும், ஏழு செம்மறியாட்டுக் கடாக்களையும், ஏழு வெள்ளாட்டுக் கடாக்களையும் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். அரசன் ஆசாரியர்களான ஆரோனின் சந்ததிகளிடம், “யெகோவாவின் பலிபீடத்தில் இதைப் பலியிடுங்கள்” எனக் கட்டளையிட்டான்.

22 So they killed the bulls, and the priests took the blood and sprinkled it on the altar. They killed the rams and sprinkled the blood on the altar. They killed the lambs and sprinkled the blood on the altar.

எனவே அவர்கள் காளைகளை வெட்டினார்கள். ஆசாரியர்கள் இரத்தத்தை எடுத்து பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தெளித்தார்கள். அடுத்ததாக அவர்கள் செம்மறியாட்டுக் கடாக்களை வெட்டி அதன் இரத்தத்தை பலிபீடத்தில் தெளித்தார்கள். அதன்பின் செம்மறியாட்டுக் குட்டிகளை வெட்டி, அதன் இரத்தத்தையும் பலிபீடத்தில் தெளித்தனர்.

23 Then they brought the goats for the sin offering before the king and the assembly, who placed their hands on them.

அதன்பின் பாவநிவாரண காணிக்கைக்கான வெள்ளாடுகள் அரசனுக்கும், கூடியிருந்தவர்களுக்கும் முன்பாக கொண்டுவரப்பட்டன. அவர்கள் அவற்றின்மேல் தங்கள் கைகளை வைத்தனர்.

24 Then the priests killed the goats and placed their blood on the altar for a sin offering, to make atonement for the whole of Israel, because the king had ordered that the burnt offering and sin offering were for the whole of Israel.

இஸ்ரயேல் முழுவதற்கும் பாவநிவர்த்தி செய்வதற்காக ஆசாரியர்கள் வெள்ளாடுகளை வெட்டி, அதன் இரத்தத்தைப் பாவநிவாரண காணிக்கையாக பலிபீடத்தில் படைத்தார்கள். ஏனெனில் அரசன் எல்லா இஸ்ரயேலுக்குமாக தகன காணிக்கைகளையும், பாவநிவாரண காணிக்கைகளையும் செலுத்தும்படி கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தான்.

25 Hezekiah had the Levites stand in the Lord's Temple with cymbals, harps, and lyres, following the instructions of David, Gad the king's seer, and Nathan the prophet. The instructions had come from the Lord through His prophets.

தாவீது, அரசனின் தரிசனக்காரனான காத், இறைவாக்கினன் நாத்தான் ஆகியவர்கள் கற்பித்தவிதமாகவே, அரசன் லேவியர்களை கைத்தாளம், யாழ், வீணை ஆகியவற்றுடன் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தில் நிறுத்தினான்; இது யெகோவாவினால் அவரது இறைவாக்கினர்கள் மூலமாய்க் கட்டளையிடப்பட்டிருந்தது.

26 The Levites stood with the musical instruments provided by David, with the priests holding their trumpets.

எனவே லேவியர்கள் தாவீதின் வாத்தியக் கருவிகளுடனும், ஆசாரியர்கள் தங்கள் எக்காளங்களுடனும் ஆயத்தமாக நின்றனர்.

27 Then Hezekiah gave the order for the burnt offering to be offered on the altar. As the burnt offering began, the song of the Lord began at the same time, the trumpets sounded, and music was played on the instruments of David, once king of Israel.

எசேக்கியா பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தகன காணிக்கைகளைப் பலியிடும்படி கொடுத்தான். காணிக்கை செலுத்தத் தொடங்கியவுடனே, எக்காளங்களுடனும் இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசன் தாவீதின் இசைக் கருவிகளுடனும் யெகோவாவுக்கான துதிபாடல்களும் ஆரம்பித்தன.

28 All the people in the assembly were worshiping, the singers were singing, and the trumpeters were playing. This continued until the burnt offering was finished.

தகன காணிக்கை செலுத்துமட்டும் பாடகர் பாட, எக்காளம் முழங்க, சபையோர் எல்லோரும் தலைகுனிந்து வழிபட்டார்கள்.

29 Once the offerings were completed, the king and everyone there with him bowed down and worshiped.

பலிசெலுத்தி முடிவடைந்ததும் அரசனும் அவனுடன் வந்திருந்த எல்லோரும் தரையில் முழங்காற்படியிட்டு வழிபட்டார்கள்.

30 Then King Hezekiah and his officials ordered the Levites to sing praises to the Lord using the words of David and of Asaph the seer. So they sang praises with joy, and bowed their heads and worshiped.

அரசன் எசேக்கியாவும், அவனுடைய அதிகாரிகளும், தாவீதும், தரிசனக்காரனான ஆசாப்பும் பாடிய வார்த்தைகளால் யெகோவாவைத் துதிக்கும்படி லேவியர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார்கள். எனவே அவர்கள் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் துதித்து பாடி தலைகுனிந்து வழிபட்டார்கள்.

31 Then Hezekiah told them, “Now that you have dedicated yourselves to the Lord, come and bring your sacrifices and thank offerings to the Lord's Temple.” So the people in the assembly brought their sacrifices and thank offerings, and everyone who wanted to brought burnt offerings.

அப்பொழுது எசேக்கியா, “நீங்கள் இப்பொழுது உங்களை யெகோவாவுக்கென்று அர்ப்பணித்திருக்கிறீர்கள். வாருங்கள், பலிகளையும் நன்றியறிதல் காணிக்கைகளையும் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவாருங்கள்” என்று சொன்னான். எனவே கூடியிருந்தவர்கள் பலிகளையும், நன்றியறிதல் காணிக்கைகளையும் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். அத்துடன் யாருடைய இருதயம் ஏவப்பட்டதோ அவர்கள் சர்வாங்க தகன காணிக்கைகளையும் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.

32 The total number of burnt offerings they brought was seventy bulls, a hundred rams, and two hundred lambs; all these were to be a burnt offering to the Lord.

சபையோர் கொண்டுவந்த தகன காணிக்கைகளின் எண்ணிக்கை: எழுபது காளைகள், நூறு செம்மறியாட்டுக் கடாக்கள், இருநூறு செம்மறியாட்டுக் கடாக்குட்டிகள் ஆகியனவாகும். இவையெல்லாம் யெகோவாவுக்காகத் தகன காணிக்கையாகக் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டன.

33 In addition there were dedicated offerings of six hundred bulls and three thousand sheep.

பலிகளாக அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்ட மிருகங்களின் தொகை அறுநூறு காளைகளும், மூவாயிரம் செம்மறியாடுகளும், வெள்ளாடுகளுமாகும்.

34 Since there weren't enough priests to skin all the burnt offerings, their Levite relatives helped them until the work was finished and the priests had been purified. (The Levites had been more conscientious in purifying themselves than the priests had.)

ஆனால் தகன காணிக்கைக்கான மிருகங்களைத் தோல் உரிப்பதற்கு ஆசாரியர்கள் மிகக் குறைவாகவேயிருந்தனர். மற்ற ஆசாரியர்கள் தங்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தும் வரைக்கும் அவர்கள் உறவினர்களான லேவியர்கள் அந்த வேலை முடியும்வரைக்கும் உதவிசெய்தனர். ஏனெனில் லேவியர்கள் தங்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்துவதில் ஆசாரியர்களைவிட கவனமுள்ளவர்களாக இருந்தனர்.

35 Apart from the large number of burnt offerings, there was the fat of the friendship offerings, as well as the drink offerings that went with the burnt offerings. In this way the service of the Lord's Temple was restored.

இவ்வாறு தகன காணிக்கைகள் ஏராளமாயிருந்தன; அத்துடன் சமாதான காணிக்கைகளின் கொழுப்பும், சமாதான காணிக்கைகளோடு செலுத்தப்பட்ட பான காணிக்கைகளும் ஏராளமாய் இருந்தன. எனவே யெகோவாவினுடைய ஆலய ஆராதனை திரும்பவும் நிலைநிறுத்தப்பட்டது.

36 Hezekiah and everyone there were so happy at what God done for the people, because everything had been achieved so quickly.

இறைவன் தனது மக்களுக்காய் செய்து முடித்ததைக்குறித்து எசேக்கியாவும் எல்லா மக்களும் அகமகிழ்ந்தனர். ஏனெனில் இது மிகவும் விரைவாய் செய்யப்பட்டது.
