< 1 Thessalonians 2 >

1 Brothers and sisters, you yourselves know what our visit meant to you, and that it wasn't wasted!
Mwet wiasr in lulalfongi, kowos sifacna etu lah muta lasr inmasrlowos ah tia wangin sripa.
2 You'll recall that after having had much trouble and bad treatment at Philippi, with the help of God we still dared to share God's good news with you, despite the opposition we faced.
Kowos nuna etu luman mwe keok ac kas in akkoluk ma orek nu sesr in acn Philippi meet liki kut tuku nu yuruwos. Ac finne oasr alein yohk orek, God lasr El akpulaikye kut in fahkak nu suwos Pweng Wo su tuku sel me.
3 For what we speak about isn't deceptive, or worthless, or fraudulent.
Kas in kwafe lasr nu suwos tia ma ke ma sutuu, ku ke inkanek fohkfok, ku ma in kiapwela kutena mwet.
4 On the contrary, we have God's approval for what we say—he's entrusted us with sharing the good news. We don't set out to please people, but God. He's the one who judges our motives.
A pacl nukewa kut fahkak ma God El lungse kut in fahk, mweyen El srike kut tari, ac ase kunasr in fahkak Pweng Wo. Ouinge kut tia srike in akinsewowoye mwet, a in akinsewowoye God.
5 As you know, we've never used flattering words. Nor were we covering up some greedy, selfish attitude—as God is our witness!
Kowos arulana etu lah kut tia orekmakin kas in aklukuk nu suwos, ku srike in eis ma lowos ke sripen kut nunku kacsr sifacna — God El etu lah pwaye.
6 We weren't trying to win anybody's praise—not from you, nor anyone else. We could have become a “burden” to you as messengers of Christ,
Kut tia suk kaksak sin kutena mwet — tia ma suwos me ku sin mwet ngia,
7 but instead we acted kindly among you, like a mother caring for her own children.
finne pwaye lah kut mwet sap lun Christ, ac fal tuh kut in eis mwe enenu lasr suwos. A kut tuh inse kulang na ke kut muta yuruwos ah, oana sie nina ke el karingin tulik natul sifacna.
8 We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not just God's good news, but also our very own selves, because you had become so dear to us.
Ke sripen lungse lasr nu suwos, kut tuh akola in sot nu suwos Pweng Wo lun God ac oayapa moul lasr sifacna, mweyen kowos arulana saok sesr!
9 Don't you remember, brothers and sisters, all our hard work— working day and night so we wouldn't be a burden to any of you as we shared God's good news with you?
Mwet lili ac lulu, kowos esam na ouiyen orekma upa ac toasr lasr inmasrlowos! Kut orekma ke len ac fong tuh kut in tia akkwacoye kowos ke kut fahkak Pweng Wo sin God.
10 You yourselves can testify as to how we acted, and God can too—how we treated you believers with a holy attitude, fairly and blamelessly.
Kowos mwet loh lasr, ac oayapa God, lah orekma lasr inmasrlowos mwet lulalfongi, tuh nasnas, suwohs, ac wangin kutu srisrik mwatasr.
11 You know how we cared for every one of you like a father caring for his own children. We encouraged you, comforted you, and shared with you our experience
Kowos etu na lah kut karingin kais sie suwos oana ke sie papa el karingin tulik natul sifacna.
12 so that you could live as God would want you to live—the God who calls you to his own kingdom and glory.
Kut tuh akkeye kowos ac akwoye nunkowos, ac pacl nukewa kut tuh kwafe kowos in moulkin ouiyen moul ma ac akinsewowoye God, su pangon kowos in welul in tokosrai lal ac ipeis ke wolana lal.
13 Another thing: we're always thanking God that when you heard and accepted the word of God, you didn't treat it as some human words, but what it truly is, the word of God. This is what is at work in those of you who trust in him.
Oasr pac sie sripa ma pwanang kut in sang kulo nu sin God pacl nukewa: ke kut tuh fahkak kas lun God nu suwos, kowos tuh porongo ac eis, tia oana kas lun mwet uh, a kas na pwaye sin God me. Tuh God El orekma in kowos su lulalfongi.
14 The experience you brothers and sisters have had imitates that of God's churches that belong to Christ Jesus in Judaea. Just like your fellow Jewish Christians you suffered as they did at the hands of the Jewish leaders
Mwet wiasr in lulalfongi, ma orek nu suwos ingan orek pac nu sin mwet in church lun God in acn Judea, aok nu sin mwet lun Jesus Christ in acn we. Akkeokyeyuk kowos sin mwet wiowos oapana mwe keok ma orek nu selos sin mwet Jew,
15 who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and chased us out. They don't please God and they are hostile to everyone,
su unilya Leum Jesus ac mwet palu, ac oayapa liskutla liki acn sesr. Elos tuh arulana akkasrkusrakye God, ac elos nunak sulallal nu sin mwet nukewa!
16 trying to prevent us from speaking to the other nations to prevent them from being saved. They're always sinning to the maximum extent, but for them full judgment has arrived!
Elos srike pac in ikol kut tuh kut in tia fahkak kas lun God nu sin mwet sayen mwet Jew — kas su ac mwe molela nu selos. Ma koluk lalos inge arulana alukela ma koluk nukewa elos oru pacl nukewa. Ac inge, kasrkusrak lun God putati nu faclos!
17 Brothers and sisters, since we felt as if we'd experienced a family separation because we hadn't seen you for a while (separated physically though not in spirit), we tried even harder to come and see you again face to face because that's what we wanted to do.
Inge, mwet lili ac lulu, ke kitin pacl ma lisyukla kut liki kowos — aok ke manosr, tuh tia in nunak lasr — kut asroekowosla ac srike ke kuiyasr in sifilpa liye kowos!
18 We really wanted to come and visit you, and I, Paul, tried again and again—but Satan stopped us.
Kut kena in sifil folokot nu yuruwos. Pacl pus nga sifacna srike ngan folokot nu yuruwos, tuh Satan el ikolkuti.
19 For what gives us hope, what makes us happy, what we are really proud of as we stand before our Lord Jesus Christ when he comes back—is having you there too!
Aok, ye mutun Leum lasr Jesus ke el ac tuku, kowos — ac tia kutena mwet saya! — pa mwe finsrak lasr, ac mwe engan lasr, ac mwe konkin lasr, oana sie tefuro in kutangla.
20 You are our pride and joy!
Pwaye, kowos pa mwe konkin ac mwe engan lasr uh.
