1 Then Samuel took a flask of olive oil and poured it over Saul's head, and kissed him, saying, “The Lord has anointed you as ruler of his chosen people.
Sai Sama’ila ya ɗauki’yar kwalabar mai, ya zuba man ɗin wa Shawulu a kansa, ya yi masa sumba yana cewa, “Ubangiji ya keɓe ka shugaba bisa gādonsa.
2 When you leave me today, you will meet two men near Rachel's tomb in Zelzah, on the border of Benjamin. They will tell you that the donkeys you went to look for have been found. Now your father isn't concerned about them but is worried about you. He's wondering, ‘What about my son?’
Sa’ad da ka rabu da ni yau, za ka sadu da mutum biyu kusa da kabarin Rahila a Zelza, a yankin Benyamin. Za su ce maka, ‘An sami jakunan da ka fita nema, yanzu haka mahaifinka ya bar damuwa kan jakunan ya koma damuwa a kanka, yana cewa, yaya zan gan ɗana?’
3 You will leave there and go on to the oak at Tabor where you will meet three men on their way to worship God at Bethel. One will be carrying three young goats, one will be carrying three loaves of bread, and one will be carrying a skin of wine.
“Sa’an nan za ka ci gaba daga nan sai ka kai wajen babban itace na Tabor. Waɗansu mutum uku za su sadu da kai a hanyarsu zuwa wurin yin wa Allah sujada a Betel. Ɗaya yana ɗauke da’yan awaki uku, ɗaya yana ɗauke da burodi uku, ɗayan kuma yana ɗauke da salkar ruwan inabi.
4 They will greet you and give you two loaves of bread which you should take.
Za su gaishe ka, su ba ka burodi biyu, kai kuwa sai ka karɓa.
5 Next you will come to Gibeah of God, where the Philistines have a garrison. As you come into town, you will meet a procession of prophets coming down from the high place led by harps, tambourines, flutes, and lyres, and they will be prophesying.
“Bayan wannan, za ka tafi Gebiya ta Allah, inda sansanin Filistiyawa yake. Kana shiga garin, za ka sadu da jerin gwanon annabawa suna gangarowa daga tudu, ana kaɗa garaya, ana bugan ganguna, ana hura sarewa, ana kuma bugan molo, a gabansu, su kuma za su yi ta annabci.
6 The Spirit of the Lord will come on you with power. You will prophesy with them, and you will become a different man.
Ruhun Ubangiji zai sauko a kanka da iko, za ka kuma yi annabci tare da su. Za a canja ka ka zama dabam.
7 After these signs have happened, do what you need to do, for God is with you.
Da zarar waɗannan alamu sun cika, sai ka aikata duk abin da kana iya yi gama Allah yana tare da kai.
8 Then go ahead of me to Gilgal. I assure you I will come and join you to present burnt offerings and friendship offerings. Wait there seven days until I come to you, and let you know what you should do.”
“Ka sha gabana zuwa Gilgal. Lalle zan gangara wurinka domin in miƙa hadaya ta ƙonawa da hadayu na salama. Sai ka jira ni kwana bakwai sai na zo wurinka na kuma gaya maka abin da za ka yi.”
9 The moment Saul turned to leave Samuel, God gave Saul a different way of thinking, and all the signs were fulfilled that day.
Da Shawulu ya juya zai bar Sama’ila, sai Allah ya canja wa Shawulu zuciya, alamun nan kuwa suka cika a ranar.
10 When Saul and his servant arrived in Gibeah, there was a procession of prophets coming out to meet them, the Spirit of God came on Saul with power, and he also started to prophesy with them.
Da suka iso Gibeya, jerin gwanon annabawa suka sadu da shi Ruhun Allah kuma ya sauko a kansa da iko, sai ya shiga yin annabci tare da su.
11 Everyone who had used to know Saul and saw him prophesying with the prophets said to each other, “What's going on with the son of Kish? Is Saul one of the prophets too?”
Sa’ad da dukan waɗanda suka san shi a dā suka gan shi yana annabci tare da annabawa, sai suka tambayi juna, suka ce, “Me ya faru da ɗan Kish? Shawulu ma yana cikin annabawa ne?”
12 A man living there responded, “But who is their father?” So it became a saying: “Is Saul one of the prophets too?”
Wani mutumin da yake zama a can ya ce, “Wane ne kuma mahaifinsu?” Ta haka sai wannan ya zama karin magana cewa, “Shawulu ma yana cikin annabawa?”
13 After Saul had finished prophesying, he went to the high place.
Bayan da Shawulu ya gama annabci sai ya haura ya tafi tudu.
14 Saul's uncle asked Saul and his servant, “Where have you been?” “We were looking for the donkeys,” Saul replied. “When we couldn't find them we went to Samuel.”
Sai ɗan’uwan mahaifin Shawulu ya tambaye shi da baransa ya ce, “Ina kuka je?” Shawulu ya ce, “Mun tafi neman jakuna, amma da ba mu same su ba sai muka tafi wurin Sama’ila.”
15 “Please tell me what he said to you,” Saul's uncle asked.
Ɗan’uwan mahaifin Shawulu ya ce, “Faɗa mini abin da Sama’ila ya ce maka.”
16 “He promised us the donkeys had been found,” Saul replied. But Saul didn't tell his uncle what Samuel had said about him becoming king.
Shawulu ya ce, “Ya tabbatar mana cewa an riga an sami jakuna.” Amma bai gaya wa ɗan’uwan mahaifinsa abin da Sama’ila ya ce game da sarauta ba.
17 Samuel called the people of Israel to come before the Lord at Mizpah.
Sama’ila ta tattara mutanen Isra’ila a gaban Ubangiji a Mizfa
18 He told the Israelites, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I led Israel out of Egypt, and I saved you from the Egyptians and from all the kingdoms that were oppressing you.
ya ce musu, “Ga abin da Ubangiji, Allah na Isra’ila ya ce, ‘Na fito da Isra’ila daga Masar, na kuma cece ku daga hannun Masarawa da dukan mulkokin da suka wahalshe ku.’
19 But now you have rejected your God, the one who saves you from all your troubles and disasters. You told him, ‘You must appoint a king to rule us.’ So now present yourselves before the Lord by your tribes and family groups.”
Amma yanzu kun ƙi Allahnku wanda ya cece ku daga dukan masifu da wahaloli. Kuka ce, ‘Sam, a naɗa mana sarki.’ Saboda haka yanzu sai ku zo gaban Ubangiji kabila-kabila da iyali-iyali.”
20 Samuel had all Israel come forward by tribes, and the tribe of Benjamin was chosen by lot.
Sa’ad da Sama’ila ya kawo dukan Isra’ila gaba, kabila-kabila, sai aka zaɓi kabilar Benyamin ta wurin jefa ƙuri’a.
21 Then he had the tribe of Benjamin come forward by its family groups, and the family group of Matri was chosen. Lastly, Saul, son of Kish, was chosen. But when they looked for him, he couldn't be found.
Sai ya kawo kabilar Benyamin gaba, iyali-iyali, aka zaɓi iyalin Matri. A ƙarshe aka zaɓi Shawulu ɗan Kish. Amma da aka neme shi sai ba a same shi ba.
22 So they asked the Lord, “Has he arrived here yet?” The Lord replied, “Go and look—he's hiding among the baggage.”
Suka ƙara nemi bayani daga Ubangiji suka ce, “Mutumin ya zo nan kuwa?” Ubangiji ya ce, “I, ga shi can, ya ɓuya cikin kayayyaki.”
23 They ran and brought Saul over. When he stood among the people, he was head and shoulders taller than anyone else.
Suka ruga suka kawo shi. Da ya tsaya cikin mutane, sai ya fi kowa tsayi.
24 Samuel said to everyone, “Can you see the one the Lord has chosen? There's no one like him anywhere!” All the people shouted, “Long live the king!”
Sama’ila ya ce wa dukan mutane, “Kun ga wanda Ubangiji ya zaɓa ko? Ba wani kamar sa a cikin dukan mutane.” Sai mutane suka tā da murya suka ce, “Ran sarki yă daɗe.”
25 Then Samuel explained to the people all that a king would do. He wrote it down on a scroll and placed it before the Lord. Then Samuel sent everyone home.
Sama’ila kuwa ya bayyana wa mutane ƙa’idodin sarauta. Ya rubuta su cikin littafi ya ajiye a gaban Ubangiji. Sa’an nan ya sallame mutane, kowa ya koma gidansa.
26 Saul also returned to his home in Gibeah, accompanied by warriors who God had encouraged to help him.
Shawulu ma ya tafi gidansa a Gibeya tare da waɗansu jarumawan da Allah ya taɓa zuciyarsu.
27 But some obnoxious men asked, “How could this man save us?” They hated him and didn't bring him any gifts; but Saul did not retaliate.
Amma waɗansu’yan iska suka ce, “Yaya wannan mutum zai iya cetonmu?” Suka rena shi suka ƙi su kawo masa kyautai. Amma Shawulu bai ce uffam ba.
