1 Kings 4
1 King Solomon ruled over all of Israel.
অতএব রাজা শলোমন সমস্ত ইস্রায়েল জুড়ে রাজত্ব করলেন।
2 These were his officials: Azariah, son of Zadok, was the priest;
এরাই ছিলেন তাঁর প্রধান কর্মকর্তা: সাদোকের ছেলে অসরিয় ছিলেন যাজক;
3 Elihoreph and Ahijah, sons of Shisha, were the king's secretaries. Jehoshaphat, son of Ahilud, kept the royal records.
শীশার ছেলে ইলীহোরফ ও অহিয় ছিলেন সচিব; অহীলূদের ছেলে যিহোশাফট ছিলেন লিপিকার;
4 Benaiah son of Jehoiada was the army commander. Zadok and Abiathar were priests.
যিহোয়াদার ছেলে বনায় ছিলেন প্রধান সেনাপতি; সাদোক ও অবিয়াথর ছিলেন যাজক;
5 Azariah, son of Nathan, was in charge of the governors. Zabud, son of Nathan, was a priest and the king's counselor.
নাথনের ছেলে অসরিয় জেলাশাসকদের উপর ভারপ্রাপ্ত ছিলেন; নাথনের ছেলে সাবূদ ছিলেন একজন যাজক ও রাজার পরামর্শদাতা;
6 Ahishar was the palace manager. Adoniram, son of Abda, was in charge of those forced to work for the king.
অহীশার ছিলেন রাজপ্রাসাদের তত্ত্বাবধায়ক; অব্দের ছেলে অদোনীরাম বেগার শ্রমিকদের উপর ভারপ্রাপ্ত ছিলেন।
7 Solomon had twelve area governors whose responsibilities covered the whole of Israel, providing food for the king and his household. Each one in turn arranged supplies for one month of the year.
সমস্ত ইস্রায়েলে শলোমন বারোজন জেলাশাসক নিযুক্ত করলেন, যারা রাজা ও রাজপরিবারের জন্য খাদ্যসম্ভার জোগান দিতেন। এক একজনকে বছরে এক এক মাসের জন্য খাদ্যসম্ভার জোগান দিতে হত।
8 Their names were: Ben-hur, in the hill country of Ephraim;
এই তাদের নাম: ইফ্রয়িমের পার্বত্য অঞ্চলে বিন-হূর;
9 Ben-deker in Makaz, Shaalbim, Beth-shemesh and Elon-beth-hanan;
মাকস, শালবীম, বেত-শেমশ ও এলোন-বেথ-হাননে বিন-দেকর;
10 Ben-hesed in Arubboth (Socoh and all the land of Hepher was his);
অরুব্বোতে বিন-হেষদ (সোখো ও সমস্ত হেফর প্রদেশ তাঁর অধীনে ছিল);
11 Ben-abinadab, in the whole of Naphath-dor (Taphath, the daughter of Solomon, was his wife);
নাফৎ-দোরে বিন-অবীনাদব (শলোমনের মেয়ে টাফতের সঙ্গে তাঁর বিয়ে হল);
12 Baana, son of Ahilud, in Taanach and Megiddo, the whole of Beth-shan near Zarethan below Jezreel, and from Beth-shan to Abel-meholah and across to Jokmeam;
তানক ও মগিদ্দোতে, এবং সর্তনের কাছাকাছি ও যিষ্রিয়েলের নিচে অবস্থিত বেথ-শানের সমস্ত অঞ্চলে, এবং বৈৎ-শান থেকে যকমিয়াম পার করে আবেল-মহোলা পর্যন্ত অহীলূদের ছেলে বানা;
13 Ben-geber, in Ramoth-gilead (the towns of Jair, son of Manasseh, in Gilead belonged to him, as well as the region of Argob in Bashan, with sixty great cities having walls and bronze bars);
রামোৎ-গিলিয়দে বিন-গেবর (গিলিয়দে মনঃশির ছেলে যায়ীরের গ্রামগুলি, তথা বাশনে অর্গোবের অঞ্চলটি এবং সেখানকার ব্রোঞ্জ দিয়ে তৈরি অর্গলসুদ্ধ প্রাচীরবেষ্টিত ষাটটি বড়ো বড়ো নগর তাঁর অধীনে ছিল);
14 Ahinadab, son of Iddo, in Mahanaim;
মহনয়িমে ইদ্দোর ছেলে অহীনাদব;
15 Ahimaaz, in Naphtali (he had married Basemath the daughter of Solomon);
নপ্তালিতে অহীমাস (তিনি শলোমনের মেয়ে বাসমৎকে বিয়ে করলেন);
16 Baana, son of Hushai, in Asher and in Aloth;
আশেরে ও বালোতে হূশয়ের ছেলে বানা;
17 Jehoshaphat, son of Paruah, in Issachar;
ইষাখরে পারূহের ছেলে যিহোশাফট;
18 Shimei, son of Ela, in Benjamin;
বিন্যামীনে এলার ছেলে শিমিয়ি;
19 Geber son of Uri in the land of Gilead, (the former country of Sihon, king of the Amorites, and of Og, king of Bashan. There was also a governor who was over the land of Judah).
গিলিয়দে ঊরির ছেলে গেবর। (ইমোরীয়দের রাজা সীহোনের দেশ ও বাশনের রাজা ওগের দেশও তাঁর অধিকারে ছিল) ওই জেলায় তিনিই একমাত্র জেলাশাসক ছিলেন।
20 Judah and Israel had become as numerous as the sand on the seashore. They ate, they drank, they were happy.
যিহূদা ও ইস্রায়েলের জনসংখ্যা সমুদ্রতীরের বালুকণার মতো বহুসংখ্যক ছিল; তারা ভোজন করত, পান করত ও তারা খুশিই ছিল।
21 Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates River to the land of the Philistines, right up to the border of Egypt. They presented tribute to Solomon and served him during his lifetime.
শলোমন ইউফ্রেটিস নদী থেকে শুরু করে ফিলিস্তিনীদের দেশ পর্যন্ত, অর্থাৎ একেবারে মিশরের সীমানা পর্যন্ত, সব রাজ্যের উপর শাসন চালাতেন। শলোমন যতদিন বেঁচেছিলেন, এই দেশগুলি তাঁকে কর দিত ও তাঁর শাসনাধীন হয়েই ছিল।
22 The food required every day for Solomon's court was thirty cors of the best flour and sixty cors of meal;
শলোমনের দৈনিক খাদ্যসম্ভার ছিল ত্রিশ কোর মিহি ময়দা ও ষাট কোর যবের আটা,
23 ten fattened cattle, twenty range cattle, one hundred sheep, as well as deer, gazelles, roe deer, and fattened poultry.
গোশালায় জাবনা খাওয়া দশটি গবাদি পশু, বাইরে চরে খাওয়া কুড়িটি গবাদি পশু এবং একশোটি মেষ ও ছাগল, তথা হরিণ, গজলা হরিণ, কৃষ্ণসার হরিণ ও বাছাই করা বড়ো বড়ো কিছু জলচর পাখি।
24 For Solomon ruled over the whole region west of the Euphrates, from Tiphsah to Gaza—over all the kingdoms west of the Euphrates. And he had peace on all sides around him. He had peace on every border.
যেহেতু তিনি তিপসহ থেকে গাজা পর্যন্ত ইউফ্রেটিস নদীর পশ্চিমদিকের সব রাজ্য শাসন করতেন, তাই সবদিকেই শান্তি বজায় ছিল।
25 During Solomon's lifetime, everyone in Judah and Israel lived in safety, from Dan to Beersheba. Each one had their own vine and fig tree.
শলোমন যতদিন বেঁচেছিলেন, দান থেকে বের-শেবা পর্যন্ত যিহূদা ও ইস্রায়েলে প্রত্যেকে নিজের নিজের দ্রাক্ষাক্ষেতের ও ডুমুর গাছের নিচে নিরাপদে বসবাস করত।
26 Solomon had 40,000 stalls for his chariot horses, and 12,000 charioteers.
শলোমনের কাছে রথের ঘোড়াগুলি রাখার জন্য চার হাজার আস্তাবল, এবং 12,000 ঘোড়া ছিল।
27 Every month the area governors provided in turn food for King Solomon and all who ate at his table. They made sure that nothing was missing.
জেলাশাসকেরা প্রত্যেকে তাদের নিরূপিত মাসে রাজা শলোমন ও রাজার টেবিলে বসে যারা ভোজনপান করতেন, তাদের জন্য খাদ্যসম্ভার জোগান দিতেন। তারা খেয়াল রাখতেন যেন কোনো কিছুরই অভাব না হয়।
28 They also delivered barley and straw where they were needed for the chariot horses and cart-horses.
রথের ঘোড়া ও অন্যান্য ঘোড়াগুলির জন্য তারা নির্দিষ্ট পরিমাণ যব ও বিচালিও নির্দিষ্ট স্থানে এনে রাখতেন।
29 God gave to Solomon wisdom, very great discernment, and understanding as extensive as the sand on the seashore.
ঈশ্বর শলোমনকে প্রজ্ঞা ও প্রচুর পরিমাণে অর্ন্তদৃষ্টি এবং সমুদ্রতীরের বালুকণার মতো অগাধ বোধবুদ্ধি দিলেন।
30 Solomon's wisdom was greater than that of all the Eastern wise men, greater than all of Egypt's wisdom.
প্রাচ্যের সব লোকজনের প্রজ্ঞা থেকে, এবং মিশরের সব প্রজ্ঞার তুলনায় শলোমনের প্রজ্ঞা ছিল অসামান্য।
31 He was wiser than anyone, wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, wiser than Heman, Calcol, and Darda, sons of Mahol. His reputation spread through the nations around.
তিনি অন্য যে কোনো লোকের, এমনকি ইষ্রাহীয় এথনের চেয়েও বেশি বিচক্ষণ ছিলেন—মাহোলের ছেলে হেমন, কলকোল ও দর্দার চেয়েও বেশি বিচক্ষণ ছিলেন। আর তাঁর সুখ্যাতি পার্শ্ববর্তী সব দেশে ছড়িয়ে পড়েছিল।
32 Solomon composed three thousand proverbs and one thousand and five songs.
তিনি তিন হাজার প্রবাদবাক্য বললেন এবং এক হাজার পাঁচটি গানও লিখেছিলেন।
33 He was able to discuss knowledge of trees, from the cedar in Lebanon to the hyssop that grows in the wall. He taught about animals, birds, reptiles, and fish.
লেবাননের দেবদারু থেকে শুরু করে প্রাচীরের গায়ে উৎপন্ন এসোব পর্যন্ত সব গাছপালার বিষয়ে তিনি কথা বললেন। এছাড়াও তিনি পশুদের ও পাখিদের, সরীসৃপদের ও মাছেরও বিষয়ে কথা বললেন।
34 People from all nations came to hear Solomon's wisdom. They were sent by all the kings of the earth, who had heard about his wisdom.
সব দেশ থেকে সেইসব লোকজন শলোমনের প্রজ্ঞার কথা শুনতে আসত, যাদের পৃথিবীর সেইসব রাজা পাঠাতেন, যারা তাঁর প্রজ্ঞার বিষয়ে খবর পেয়েছিলেন।
