< 1 John 5 >
1 Whoever trusts that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the father also loves his child.
Tukhom Jisua hi Messiah ani tia iem chu Pathien nâi ani; tukhom Pa lungkhampu chu a Nâipasal khom a lungkham sa ngâi.
2 How do we know that we love God's children? When we love God and follow his commands.
Ma hin Pathien nâingei ei lungkham iti ei rieta: Pathien ei lungkhama a chongpêkngei ei jôma hin.
3 Loving God means that we follow his commands, and his commands are not hard to bear.
Pathien ei lungkhamna chu a chongpêkngei ei jôm hih ani. A chongpêkngei chu eini rangin inngar mak,
4 Everyone who is born of God defeats the world. The way we gain victory and defeat the world is by trusting God.
asikchu Pathien nâi nâmin chu rammuol an mene ngâi. Male ei taksônna sikin rammuol ei mene ani.
5 Who can defeat the world? Only those who trust in Jesus, believing he is the Son of God.
Tumo rammuol a mene thei rang? Jisua chu Pathien Nâipasal ani iti iempu vaiin kêng.
6 He is the one who came through water and blood, Jesus Christ. He did not only come by water, but by water and blood. The Spirit gives evidence to confirm this, for the Spirit is the truth.
Jisua Khrista hih a baptisma tui le a thina thisen leh juongpu hah ani. Tui vaia niloiin tui leh thisen inlopa juong ani. Male Ratha han amananâk adik iti a minriet ani, Ratha chu chongtak ani sikin.
7 So there are three that give evidence:
Rietpuipu ngei inthum an om:
8 the Spirit, the water, and the blood, and all three agree as one.
Ratha, tui le thisen; male ma inthum ngei minrietna hah munkhat ani.
9 If we accept the evidence that human witnesses provide, then the evidence that God provides is much more important. The evidence that God provides is his testimony about his Son.
Munisi minrietna luo mana ei iema; Pathien minrietna vângte arât uol ok kêng, male a Nâipasal minrietna chungroi chu a pêk zoi ani.
10 Those trusting in the Son of God have accepted and hold on to this evidence. Those who don't trust God make God out to be a liar, because they don't believe the evidence God has given about his Son.
Masikin tukhom Pathien Nâipasal a iem ngei murdi'n chu mania inrietna hi an mulungrîla an dôna; aniatachu a iemloipu ngei chu Pathien milakin an minchang ani. Pathien'n a Nâipasal chungroi a ti hah an iemloi sikin.
11 The evidence is this: God has given eternal life to us, and we have this life through his Son. (aiōnios )
Ma minrietna hah mahi ani: Pathien'n kumtuong ringna mi pêk zoia, male ma ringna nâr hah a Nâipasala aom ani. (aiōnios )
12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever doesn't have the Son of God doesn't have life.
Tukhom Nâipasal hah a dônin chu ringna hah a dôna, Pathien Nâipasal dônloi chu ringna dôn mak ani.
13 I'm writing to tell those of you who trust in the name of the Son of God so you can be certain you have eternal life. (aiōnios )
Kumtuong ringna nin dôn ti nin riet theina rangin nangni Pathien Nâipasal iem ngei kôm hi chong hih ki miziek ani. (aiōnios )
14 We can be confident that he will listen to us as long as we ask in accordance with his will.
Neinun murdi a lungdo angin ei ngênin chu mi rangâi pe ngâi ti ei rietminthâr sikin Pathien makunga ei hâi ani.
15 If we know that he hears our requests, we can be sure that we will receive what we've asked him for.
Khotiklâi khom ei ngên kai chu mi rangâi pe ngâi; male mahah adik iti ei rietin chu a kôm ei neinun ngên hah mi pêk ngâi ani, ti khom ei riet sa ani.
16 If you see your Christian brother or sister committing a sin that is not a deadly sin, you ought to pray and God will grant life to the one who's sinned. (But not for a deadly sin. There's a sin that is deadly, and I'm not saying people should pray about that.
Nin lâibung mini, nin sarnu mini thi theina tatak niloi sietna a sinin chu Pathien kôm chubai tho pe ungla, Pathien'n ringna pêk ngei a tih. Mahi thi theina tatak niloi sietna sin ngei ranga ani. Ania thi theina tatak sietna khom a oma, ma rang han Pathien kôm chubaitho pe roi ki ti nimak.
17 Yes, all that is not right is sin, but there's sin that is not deadly.)
Adikloi tho murdi hi nunsie ani, aniatachu thi theina tatak niloi sietna khom a om sa.
18 We recognize that those who are born of God don't keep on sinning. The Son of God protects them and the devil cannot harm them.
Tukhom Pathien nâingei chu nunsie tho bang ngâi khâi mak ngei iti ei riet, Pathien Nâipasal han a rung ngei tita, Puoloipa siet thei ngei khâi mak.
19 We know that we belong to God, and that the world is under the power of the evil one.
Rammuol pumpui hih Puoloipa roijêkna nuoia om nikhomsenla, Pathien mingei ei ni iti ei riet ani.
20 We also know that the Son of God has come, and has helped us to understand so we can recognize the one who is true. We live in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God, and is eternal life. (aiōnios )
Pathien diktak hah ei rietna rangin Pathien Nâipasal a juonga, masikin riettheina mi pêk ani, Pathien diktak leh inzomin ei oma a Nâipasal Jisua Khrista leh inzomin. Mahi Pathien diktak ania, male mahi kumtuong ringna ani. (aiōnios )
21 Dear friends, stay away from idol worship.
Ka nâingei, pathien dikloi ngei renga inrung roi!
