< 1 John 2 >
1 My dear children, I'm writing this to you so you shouldn't sin. But if anybody should happen to sin, we have someone who defends us before the Father—Jesus Christ, who is truly good and right.
Me mma, merekyerɛw eyi abrɛ mo na moanyɛ bɔne; na sɛ obi yɛ bɔne a, yɛwɔ Yesu Kristo ɔtreneeni no a ɔsrɛ wɔ Agya no hɔ ma yɛn.
2 Through him our sins are forgiven—and not only our sins, but those of the whole world.
Na Kristo no ankasa ne yɛn bɔne ho mpata na ɛnyɛ yɛn bɔne nko, na nnipa nyinaa bɔne.
3 We can be sure that we do know him if we follow his commands.
Sɛ yedi Onyankopɔn mmara so a, na ɛkyerɛ sɛ yenim no.
4 Anyone who says, “I know him,” but doesn't do what he says, is a liar. They don't have the truth.
Sɛ obi ka se, “Minim no,” nanso onni ne mmara so a, saa onipa no yɛ ɔtorofo a nokware nni ne mu.
5 But those who follow God's word have his love totally fill their minds. This is how we know that we live in him.
Na sɛ obi tie nʼasɛm a, na nokware dɔ a ɔde dɔ Onyankopɔn no wie pɛyɛ wɔ ne mu. Eyi na ɛma yehu sɛ yɛte ne mu.
6 Whoever claims to be living in him should behave like Jesus.
Na ɛsɛ sɛ nea ose ɔte ne mu no biara di Yesu Kristo anammɔn akyi.
7 My friends, I'm not writing to you giving some new commandment, but an old commandment you've had from the beginning. This old commandment is one you have already heard.
Anuanom, saa mmara a merekyerɛw abrɛ mo yi nyɛ asɛm foforo. Ɛyɛ mmara dedaw a moate fi mfiase pɛɛ no. Mmara dedaw no yɛ ade a moate ho asɛm dedaw.
8 But in a sense I am giving you a new commandment. Its truth is revealed in Jesus and in you, for the darkness is coming to an end and the true light is already shining.
Nanso mmara a merekyerɛw abrɛ mo yi yɛ foforo na mu nokware no da adi wɔ Kristo ne mo mu. Sum no retwa mu na hann papa no gu so rehyerɛn.
9 Those who say they live in the light but hate a fellow Christian still have the darkness inside them.
Obiara a ɔka se ɔwɔ hann no mu, nanso ɔtan ne nua no wɔ sum mu besi saa dɔnhwerew yi mu.
10 Those who love their fellow Christians live in the light, and don't cause others to sin.
Obiara a ɔdɔ ne nua no te hann mu, enti biribiara nni ne mu a ɛbɛma obi foforo ayɛ bɔne.
11 Those who hate a fellow Christian are in darkness. They stumble around in the dark, not knowing where they're going because the darkness has blinded them.
Nanso obiara a ɔtan ne nua no te sum mu. Ɔnam mu a onnim faako a ɔrekɔ, efisɛ sum no afura nʼani.
12 Dear friends, I'm writing to you children, for your sins have been forgiven through the name of Jesus.
Me mma, merekyerɛw mo, efisɛ esiane Kristo din nti, wɔde mo bɔne akyɛ mo.
13 I'm writing to you fathers, for you know him who has existed from the beginning. I'm writing to you young people, for you have defeated the evil one.
Agyanom, merekyerɛw mo, efisɛ munim nea ɔte ase fi mfiase no. Mmabun, merekyerɛw mo, efisɛ moadi ɔbonsam so.
14 I write to you little children, for you know the Father. I write to you fathers, for you know him who has existed from the beginning. I write to you young people, for you are strong. The word of God lives in you, and you have defeated the evil one.
Mma, merekyerɛw mo, efisɛ munim Agya no. Agyanom, merekyerɛw mo, efisɛ munim nea ɔte ase fi mfiase no. Mmabun, merekyerɛw mo, efisɛ mowɔ ahoɔden. Onyankopɔn asɛm no te mo mu na moadi ɔbonsam so.
15 Don't be in love with the world, and don't long for the things of this world. If you love the world, you won't have the Father's love in you.
Monnnɔ wiase anaasɛ biribiara a ɛyɛ wiase de. Sɛ modɔ wiase a, na ɛkyerɛ sɛ monnnɔ Agya a ɔwɔ mo mu no.
16 For all the things of this world—our sinful desires, wanting everything we see, boasting about what we've accomplished in life— these things don't come from the Father but from the world.
Biribiara a ɛyɛ wiase de; ɔhonam akɔnnɔ, nea nnipa hu na wɔn kɔn dɔ, biribiara a ɛwɔ wiase a nnipa hoahoa wɔn ho wɔ ho no, mu biara mfi Agya no. Ne nyinaa fi wiase.
17 The world and its evil desires are coming to an end, but those who do the will of God will live forever. (aiōn )
Wiase ne mu akɔnnɔde retwa mu, nanso nea ɔyɛ Onyankopɔn apɛde no tena hɔ daa. (aiōn )
18 Dear friends, this is the last hour. As you've heard, the antichrist is coming. Many antichrists have already come. This is how we know this is the last hour.
Me mma, awiei no abɛn. Wɔka kyerɛɛ mo se Kristo Tamfo no bɛba, nanso mprempren, Kristo atamfo bebree ada wɔn ho adi, enti yɛahu sɛ ampa awiei no abɛn.
19 They left us, but they didn't belong with us, for if they did, they would have remained with us. When they left they showed that none of them belonged with us.
Nokware, na saa nnipa yi nka yɛn ho na ɛno nti na wogyaw yɛn hɔ no. Na sɛ wɔka yɛn ho a, anka wɔne yɛn tenae. Nanso wogyaw yɛn hɔ, sɛnea wubehu no pefee sɛ wɔnka yɛn ho.
20 But you have been anointed with the Holy Spirit's blessing, and all of you know what's true.
Mo de, Kristo ahwie Honhom Kronkron no agu mo so, enti mo nyinaa nim nokware no.
21 I'm not writing because you don't know the truth, but because you do know it, and because no lie comes from the truth.
Ɛnyɛ sɛ munnim nokware no nti na makyerɛw saa krataa yi, na mmom munim na munim nso sɛ, atoro biara mfi nokware mu mma.
22 Who is the liar?—anyone who denies that Jesus is the Christ. The antichrist is anyone who denies the Father and the Son.
Afei hena ne ɔtorofo? Ɛyɛ obi a ɔka se Yesu nyɛ Kristo no. Oyi ne Kristo tamfo. Ɔpo Agya no ne Ɔba no nyinaa.
23 Anyone that denies the Son does not have the Father; anyone who acknowledges the Son has the Father too.
Obiara nni hɔ a ɔpo Ɔba no na ɔwɔ Agya no; nea ogye Ɔba no to mu biara wɔ Agya no nso.
24 As for you, make sure what you heard from the beginning continues to live in you. If what you heard from the beginning lives in you, you will also live in the Son and in the Father.
Mommɔ mmɔden mfa asɛm a motee mfiase no nsie mo koma mu. Sɛ mode asɛm a motee mfiase no sie a, mo ne Ɔba no ne Agya no benya ayɔnkofa.
25 Eternal life—this is what he has promised us! (aiōnios )
Na eyi na Kristo no ankasa ahyɛ yɛn ho bɔ no, nkwa a enni awiei no. (aiōnios )
26 I'm writing this to warn you against those who want to lead you astray.
Mekyerɛw mo fa wɔn a wɔpɛ sɛ wɔdaadaa mo no ho.
27 But the anointing you received from him means the Spirit lives in you, and you don't need to be taught by anyone. The Spirit's anointing teaches you about everything. It is the truth and not a lie. So live in Christ, just as you've been taught!
Na mo de, Kristo ahwie ne Honhom Kronkron no agu mo so. Mmere dodow a ne Honhom no te mo mu no, ɛho nhia sɛ obi foforo bɛkyerɛkyerɛ mo. Efisɛ ne Honhom no kyerɛkyerɛ mo biribiara. Na nea ɔkyerɛ no nso yɛ nokware; ɛnyɛ atoro. Muntie Kristo nkyerɛkyerɛ no na montena ne mu.
28 Now, my dear friends, continue to live in Christ, so that when he appears, we can be confident and not feel ashamed before him at his coming.
Me mma, montena ne mu sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a sɛ ɔba a, yebenya akokoduru na yɛmfa aniwu nkohintaw da a ɔbɛba no.
29 If you know he is good and right, then you also know that everyone who does what is right has been born of God.
Munim sɛ Kristo yɛ ɔtreneeni. Na ɛsɛ sɛ muhu sɛ obiara a ɔyɛ ade trenee no yɛ Onyankopɔn ba.
